Chapter two - the other sides

Laiann Marquee watched as her betrothed and her cousin sent longing filled glances at each other. She rolled her eyes as she tried not to laugh and rolled her eyes, they where so oblivious. Now most of you are wondering why she wasn't trying to tare them apart…well you see she was in love with some one already so the thought of Darius with her younger cousin really didn't affect her all that much. Now to answer the question most people are wondering right about, the question as to where her affections lay…well you see, that is why she is marrying Darius, she is in love with her twin brother. How many of you are still reading this?…okay let's go on. You see Laiann had started her affair with her brother three years prior to Kerin coming to live with them, and he had been living at the palace for over three years. Now two months ago her parents had walked in on she and her brother in a most compromising position and had called in a favor right away, securing her place as Mrs. Darius Manic. But now that Laiann saw that her betrotheds preferences lay in her handsome cousin all she had to do was get Kerin to propose marriage to Darius and she was Scott free. Now the only thing left to do was wait for the right moment to speak with Kerin alone.

Prince Rohna Marquee watched his sister across the hall, he was sure she had moved on. She hadn't said a word to him since their parents had announced her engagement to Darius, and he could see why. Even he had to admit the man was handsome, hell if her was a woman and Rohna wasn't totally in love with his sister he would marry the blond. Yes Rohna could see why Laiann would forget about him after setting her eyes on the man in front of them, but that didn't mean he was happy about it. He literally wanted to rip the other princes throat out… he would have his sister no matter what.

Queen Kree Manic was quite happy with her to be daughter in law, but it seemed her son was not. He had been staring at his betrotheds cousin for the last ten minutes. While the princess and her brother had been throwing discreet looks at each other all night. She sighed. This was not going to be good; she wished she hadn't promised Darius to Laiann, she had no problem with a son in law if that was what her boy wanted. Alas she had promised the girl and her family Dariuses hand and unless something big happened Laiann and Darius were to be wed…but maybe Laiann wouldn't be to adverse to the idea of helping her, the queen thought as the young girl threw yet another longing filled glance at her twin.

Queen Sandra Marquee smiled lightly as she thought of the beautiful grand children she would have. Her soon to be son in law was fair skinned blond haired, and had the most amazing purple eyes, while her daughter was tan skinned with blond hair and green eyes. Yes their children would be grand. And so would their wedding she would make sure of that. There would be hundreds of roses and candles…oooh she couldn't wait.
