April 23, 2004

A young princess of the Western Lands walked around out side the Castle to get away from all the slaves and royalty for a little while. Her name is Kameko her long midnight blue hair flowing behind her with the light wind as she walked her light Sapphire eyes wandering to look at the forest around her.

A young man, around 18 ran through the forest trying to escape some royal guards who had captured him not long ago. His messy jet black hair moving softy as he ran and leapt over rocks and stones. His mist blue eyes trying to watch for obstacles but unfortunately didn't see a fallen tree and fell to the ground sliding to a stop at the feet of a young girl. He quickly backed up on his hands once he noticed she was a demon. "For give me..." He said as he lowered his head.

"And where do you think you're going Human?" Kameko asked in an agitated tone as she glared at the young man.

The young man didn't answer he only turned his gaze toward the forest he had just ran out of. "Damn demons..." He mumbled in a low voice his mist blue eyes now showing a hint of fear when he heard the guards tramping through the forest getting closer to him.

"I asked you a question Human now answer it." Kameko said annoyed as she rolled her eye at the young man again. She glanced in the direction of the guards she could hear running through the forest.

The young man stood, dusting his torn clothes off as he did. "I was trying to escape milady." He said in a low voice, still keeping his gaze from hers.

"Well you didn't get far did you." Kameko said, as she looked back at him annoyed. "Stupid human..."

"I beg to differ milady, humans are far from stupid. We seem to have more sense then some other species." The young man snapped and then his eyes widened and he quickly covered his mouth and looked away from Kameko.

"No human's are quite stupid to try and escape when they know the penalty is death depending on our decision." Kameko said as she walked over closer to him. "Isn't that right?" She asked in a tone that said the answer better be yes.

"Yes...Milady..." The young man said his gaze still glaring toward the ground.

"Princess Kameko..." A guard yelled as he ran from the forest, sweat dripping down his face.

"Yes?" Kameko said as she looked towards the guard that had said her name.

"I'm sorry Princess, he got away from the slave wagons. Forgive me...He is fast." The young guard said and smiled lightly at the princess as he kneeled then stood and walked over to the human and hit him across the face sending him slamming into the side of a tree.

"A human is faster then you?" Princess Kameko asked as she raised an eyebrow at the guard.

The young man pushed himself up off the ground after falling from the side of the tree. He stood holding the side of his face and wiped the blood coming from his lip away. Damn demons...He cursed mentally as he glared at Kameko. He smirked as he set out at a dead run again away from the demons since they seemed to be in a conversation.

"Idiot!" Kameko said annoyed as she disappeared from in front of the guard and appeared in front of the human. "I'm on a different level then the guards." She said and smirked as she slammed him into a tree when he reached her. "Don't do that again." She said annoyed as she glared at him.

The young man lowered his gaze again and sighed. "You may be on a different level milady but you're still a blood thirsty demon..." He said turning his gaze away over toward a bush.

The guard started over toward Kameko and the human. "I'll take him milady...He needs to be taught a lesson." He said as he started to reach toward the man's arm.

"Don't." Kameko said as she glared at the young man for a second and waved the guard off. "I'll take care of him."

"Uhm...As you wish milady." The young guard said as he bowed and started toward the castle.

The young man didn't say anything he only sighed and waited for the worst.I'm sorry little sister...My promise is going to be broke...He thought and his eyes softened as he thought of his sister and family that he had been taken from when the demons came.

Kameko raised an eyebrow at the young man and waited until the guard was out of hearing range. "Where were you running to?" She asked as she looked back away from him.

"Just away from the guards milady..." The young man said in a low weak voice.

"What ever...You had to be going some where...Come on." Kameko said as she turned away from him and continued the way she was going to begin with.

The young man sighed and followed Kameko slowly, his arms crossed. "I was just trying to escape the horrible life I was heading for when the slave wagons stopped..." He said as he looked around him at the forest and a small smile came across his face.

"Living in a castle is better then in one of those dirty human villages." Kameko said and glanced back at the human behind her.

"Not when you have a family, milady..." The young man said in a low voice and the smile left his face quickly.

"So that's where you were going." Kameko said and sighed. "Family's important in making a home..." She said as she looked as if she was thinking.

"Yes, milady." He said as he stared at the ground in front of him.

"Huh?" Kameko asked, as she looked back at him. She'd heard him say something but didn't really pay enough attention to know what he had said.

"I said yes, milady." He repeated slowly not raising his head from staring at the dirt ground.

"Oh...You must really love your family to risk your life to get back to them..." Kameko said as she looked back to where she was going. She stopped she new she was close to a human village and wondered if it was the young man's village. "What's your name anyway human?"

"My name is Kyoufu, milady..." Kyoufu said as he looked at Kameko's back wondering why she had stopped.

Kameko looked in the direction of the village then back at Kyoufu. "We're going into that village, to make sure they get no stupid ideas about trying to fight against my family. Is that were you were heading?" she said and nodded towards the village.

"No milady. My family is on the slave wagon headed for your father, Lord Yuro's castle." Kyoufu said as he looked at the ground sadly and sighed.

"Then why run from them?" Kameko asked slightly confused as she started towards the village. She had decided to just walk through it and go back to the castle.

"So I could be free from the guards and perhaps find a way to rescue my family, milady." Kyoufu said lowly as he looked around the village as they walked through it.

"That seems kind of silly if you ask me. If you're together you can adapt and still have your family." Kameko said as she looked back at Kyoufu and the humans in the village looked at her frightened and stunned that she was talking to a slave.

"A life of a slave is hard to adapt to milady. Being battered and beaten everyday even when you do what you are asked to...Is hard to understand and learn." Kyoufu said as he smiled at a small human girl who had ran after her ball when it came toward Kyoufu.

Kameko stopped and turned to look back at Kyoufu when the small girl ran after her ball. She wasn't showing any emotion as she watched them and the villagers around.

Kyoufu smiled kindly and leaned over and picked up the ball and handed it back to the little girl and ruffled her hair some before she ran back to her mother. He watched her and smiled lightly then he glanced over at Kameko and his emotions seemed fade away as he lowered his gaze once again.

Kameko frowned when she saw Kyoufu lower his gaze from her. That's so annoying...She thought as she looked at the little girl who had ran out to get the ball. "Don't lose it again little one." She said in a soft tone as she turned and continued through the village.

Kyoufu waved bye to the small girl and winked at her and then he turned showing no emotions what so ever and followed Kameko once again. So this is the life of a slave... He thought, as he walked not watching where he was going.

"Come on keep up." Kameko said as she glanced back at Kyoufu. "We've got to get back to the castle...and maybe I can keep that Family of yours alive." She said and sighed sadly.

Kyoufu looked at Kameko somewhat shocked at her words. "Ye...Yes milady." He stuttered a little confused not knowing if his ears had deceived him or she had really said that. He smiled lightly and sped up some.

If father finds out the escaped slave has his family there, they'll pay the price for him leaving... Kameko thought then glanced back at Kyoufu to see he had sped up. "I wouldn't have came this far had you told me earlier your family was on the slave carts..." She said and sighed.

"I'm sorry milady..." Kyoufu said as he walked, while reaching for something in his pocket and when he pulled it out it shimmered in the sunlight like some sort of metal blade or something.

Kameko ignored what ever he had in his hands and continued to walk. "How many of your family are there?" She asked.

"Just one left, milady..." Kyoufu said as he looked down at a necklace in his hand.

"And that person is?" Kameko asked as she looked back at Kyoufu sadly.

"My little sister...Milady." Kyoufu said as he looked up at Kameko with out knowing what he was doing and quickly diverted his gaze. "I'm sorry milady." He quickly apologized.

"Don't worry about it. Just don't do that in front of other royalty or guards." Kameko said then stopped and looked back at him again. "That reminds me..." She said and walked over to him and made him look up at her. "You were bleeding earlier." She said as she looked at him.

"Yes I was milady..." Kyoufu said and sighed.

Kameko placed a finger on his lip where he had been bleeding and a small blue light appeared at the tip of her finger. "There." She said and looked at him removing her hand from his lip and turned heading for the castle again.

Kyoufu looked at Kameko a little confused as he put his hand up to his lip and noticed the slight pain was gone. "Thank you milady." He said and smiled softly as he followed her.

"You're welcome. Don't mention that to anyone... Especially guards or anyone of royal back ground. I'd be in so much trouble." Kameko said with a slight hint of fear in her voice. Help him and my mother will be furious when she finds out...She'll train me harder then father would if she finds out... She thought and sighed sadly

"Why would you be in trouble milady? If you do not mind me asking that is..." Kyoufu said shyly as he looked at her shyly glancing from her to the ground sparingly.

"If a slave is punished they should feel the pain long after words as a reminder not to do anything like that again...According to my mother that is..." Kameko said as she glanced back at Kyoufu. "My mother would call me a soft hearted descries and either train me until dead or nearly dead or she'd have my father disown me, What land needs a princess, when they have a prince." She said and looked up at the trees above them for a second.

"Do you mind if I speak somewhat out of my way, milady?" Kyoufu asked as he walked over and around in front of Kameko a hint of confusion on his face.

"Go a head..." Kameko said and looked at Kyoufu. Her sapphire eyes showing a slight confusion.

For the first time Kyoufu raised his gaze up to meet hers his mist blue eyes searching her eyes for what seemed like answers. "Why do you act different from the other bastarding demons, the demon who raped and murdered my mother was in fact you're father...And yet you seem nothing near as evil and sinister as he is. Why is that milady? You have a certain kindness about you..." Kyoufu said as he stared into her sapphire eyes his soft mist blue eyes still searching her eyes trying to figure her out.

"I'm sorry about your mother..." Kameko said and looked back up to the tree's above. "I guess I see life differently then my mother and father. Just because Humans can't do the things we can doesn't mean we're allowed to just kill them for target practice, or what ever. Humans and Demons a like live together, but I don't see why we can't get along." She said then looked back at Kyoufu.

Kyoufu kept looking at Kameko's eyes and a soft comforting smile appeared on his face. "So really...You aren't a demon at heart..." He said and turned and lowered his gaze once more. "Shall we continue milady?" He asked in a normal tone.

"I am when I'm at the castle..." Kameko said sadly. "Yes the castle isn't far now." She said and frowned lightly as she stared walking again.

Kyoufu put his hand on Kameko's shoulder stopping her and when he did a bright silverish blue light appeared from his hand. "If you have to when we arrive at the castle hit me...I can take it." He said and smiled lightly.

"If you do as you're told. Then I won't have too..." Kameko said and looked back at him slightly confused when she saw the bright silverish blue light.

"Just to let you know...I won't do as I'm told. I'm sorry, but that is just the way I am being a quarter demon myself." Kyoufu said with a smirk showing one of his few demon traits, his razor sharp fangs. "You are the first and only person I have told this...So you know that you must keep it a secret..." He said and looked at her with a hint of concern, hoping his secret would not be revealed.

"You keep my secret and I'll keep yours. What of your sister?" Kameko said as she turned to face him. "That reminds me...Father will not like it if he finds out she's related to you and you escaped..." She said and turned back towards the castle.

"My sister may be human but she's a mean human...You're father will have his hands full with her." Kyoufu said and laughed a little. "She has a weapon with her that can put a demon to sleep for twenty-four hours...But if you think your guards and family are strong enough to with stand the dust powder then perhaps we should hurry..." He said and glanced at Kameko. "I can run part of the way...One of my few demonic traits..." He said with a childish smile.

"You're a quarter demon and can out run our full demon guards...that's so wrong..." Kameko said and laughed lightly shaking her head. "Yeah but does she have enough of that dust for an entered castle of demons plus some random guards stationed around out side the castle?" She asked skeptically.

"Uhm...Probably not...I'll only run part of the way to keep a low profile." Kyoufu said in a flash he disappeared in the direction of the castle.

Kameko raised and eyebrow and shook her head again. She disappeared in a flash and caught up with Kyoufu quickly. "You're fast." She complimented as she looked over to him.

"I've trained myself since I was ten years old, I should be..." Kyoufu said as he sped up a little leaving Kameko behind.

Kameko laughed lightly at Kyoufu. "This is funny..." She said to her self as she caught up to him again just as quickly as before.

"Okay I've been meaning to ask you this...What type of demon are you?" Kyoufu asked as he glanced over at Kameko then turning back to watch where he was going.

"Oh a Rain demon." Kameko said and laughed lightly. "And you?" she asked as she looked over at him. She turned back to watch where she was going.

"I believe my mother was a half Inu Youkai...Uhm...So I think I'm a quarter Inu..." Kyoufu said and laughed lightly and then dug his heal into the dirt sliding to a stop.

"Ah... an Inu. They're usually loyal." Kameko said and slid to a stop too as she looked back at Kyoufu then smiled lightly.

Kyoufu looked at Kameko, an eyebrow slightly raised and a dumb smirk on his face. "I'm not loyal...I'm more human than demon..." He said as he walked up next to Kameko. "How far to the castle? Sorry but the great scent of smell and the excellent hearing are a few of the things I didn't get with the package." He said and laughed a little.

"Just another minute or two of walking." Kameko said and laughed lightly. "Come on my father's yelling at some female servant." she said and rolled her eyes as she started to walk towards the castle.

"All right..." Kyoufu said and lowered his gaze as he followed a little ways behind Kameko.

Kameko walked out of the forest and looked towards the castle with its high walls around it, it seemed more like a fort then anything with all the guards on the wall watching the forest. "Open the gate!" Kameko said as she glanced up at the main guard.

Junko, the main guard peered over the massive wall and saw the Princess and smiled at her as he pulled the lever that opened the gates. "Good day Princess Kameko...Find a run away slave?" He asked gesturing toward Kyoufu. "The slave carts just arrived you can take him to the back and the guards will take care of the worthless piece of trash." He said and smiled and winked at the Princess.

"I'll do as I please with him Junko." Kameko said annoyed as she glanced up at him while walking threw the gate. "Come on." She said with no emotion laced in her voice, she didn't even look back at Kyoufu to make sure he was following her, She was heading for the slave carts which she could see.

Kyoufu followed her sparingly glancing around noticing the demons of the castle running around like frantic lunatics. "This is ridiculous..." He said to himself in a low voice as he followed Kameko.

"Yeah, yeah which one is your sister?" Kameko said lowly as she glanced back at him nodding towards the slaves getting off the carts.

Kyoufu watched each slave until they all had left the carts. "She's not there..." He whispered back to her in a worried tone.

"You sure...Are those the same slaves you were with?" Kameko said low voice slightly stunned and a little worried now.

"Yes, those are the slaves I was with...But my sister isn't with them now." Kyoufu said in a worried tone as he just started to look around the castle forgetting what a slave should act like.

Kameko ignored what he was doing. She walked over to the guard that had excorted the new slaves in. "There should be more slaves then that..." She said slightly annoyed as she looked at the guards glancing back over to Kyoufu who stood just a few feet away from her.

"I'm sorry milady that is all the slaves with the new shipment." The guard said as he checked the list again. "Yes I'm sorry that's all you're father requested..." He said after checking then glanced at Kyoufu. "Oh I see you found our run away milady...."

"There should be one more that I know of a female." Kameko said annoyed. "Unless I missed her which I doubt." She said then turned on her heal and walked over to Kyoufu. "Act like a slave would you...Come on!" She said, then headed for the door to the castle the slaves had entered.

"Milady you may check with your brother...He came down earlier and took a young female slave as his personal..." The guard yelled at Kameko as he rechecked his list once more.

Kyoufu glanced at Kameko a little worried about her brother taking his little sister.

"Oh no..." Kameko said worriedly as she glanced back at the guard and glared at him. "And why didn't you tell me that to begin with!" She said angrily then started for the main door to the castle, muttering the whole way about stupid guards.

Kyoufu followed Kameko and stared at her strangely the whole way. "May I ask what's the matter, milady?" He asked in a low curious voice.

"Only stupid idiot guards that have on more brains then a goose has." Kameko said annoyed as she looked around for her brother.

"Is it a bad thing that you're brother has taken my sister?" Kyoufu asked in a low voice once again.

"Slightly yes, he's younger then me, but he's a jack ass to all humans." Kameko said as she glanced back at Kyoufu. "I'll get her though..." she said and smiled lightly.

"I hope you can get her back...She's all I have left of my family." Kyoufu said sadly as he looked at the floor.

"I will, he don't need her he has so many others." Kameko said and rolled her eyes then spotted her mother.

"Kameko I see you've finally picked a slave." Kameko's mother said as she walked over to her daughter.

"Yes mother I picked two, but when I arrived back at the castle the guard said the my brother had taken her. I don't need a male to help me change cloths and bathe mother. He's got enough female servants." Kameko said as she watched her mother closely.

"I'll talk to him and have him give you back the new slave he picked." Her mother said then turned and walked away from Kameko. She noticed that Kameko had turned and walked by Kyoufu looking at him but she shrugged it off.

Kyoufu watched Kameko's mother leave then he looked at Kameko. "So..." He asked curiously.

"Told you I'd get her." Kameko said lowly and smiled lightly as she started up the stairs.

Kyoufu stood and watched Kameko as she walked up the stairs. "What did you're mother mean when she said you had finally picked a slave?" He asked as he looked into her eyes.

Kameko shrugged then looked into his eyes. "I've never had a slave before, and now I have two...I'm the eldest but my little brother has all kinds of slaves running around for him" she said and rolled her eyes.

"Why did you choose me and my sister?" Kyoufu asked a little curious as he walked up the stairs and looked at Kameko closer.

"I don't know...I just did I guess." Kameko said then looked at him then noticed a slave walking by looked at her and flinched slightly then glared at Kyoufu.

Kyoufu glanced at the slave then lowered his gaze from Kameko. "Perhaps I shouldn't raise my gaze to you any more it seems to anger everyone around..." He said in a low voice.

Kameko looked over at Kyoufu and sighed. "You must remember I'm the princess here. There fore your gaze isn't supposed to meet mine." She said then turned her gaze to where she was going and walked towards a room.

"I can tell why...And my reason is your gaze is to beautiful..." Kyoufu said in a low voice as he followed Kameko slowly.

Kameko blushed lightly then tried to hide it as she glanced behind her to Kyoufu. "That I doubt." She said and shrugged as she turned her gaze back to where she was going. She opened a door to reveal a bedroom and walked in waiting for Kyoufu to do the same.

Kyoufu followed her into the room and looked around in 'awe'. "This is magnificent." He said in an amazed tone.

Kameko laughed lightly as she walked over to the window and opened them to see a balcony over looking a garden. "Of course." She said as she walked back over to the bed and sat down on it. She watched Kyoufu look around her room.

Kyoufu looked around the room then his gaze stopped at Kameko's eyes. "I wasn't joking about what I said on the stair case, milady." He said with a cute little smirk, showing his fangs.

"You'd be the first besides my father to tell me that..." Kameko said and sighed as she laid back on her bed and looked up at the ceiling.

Kyoufu looked at Kameko with an eyebrow raised. "You've got to be kidding..." He said as he walked over and looked down at her.

"Nope I am serious." Kameko said as she looked over at him and sighed lightly.

"But I guess you wouldn't want anything to do with a quarter demon..." Kyoufu said as he turned away from Kameko. " I'm practically human..." He said in a sad voice.

"So..." Kameko said as she leaned up on her elbows and looked over at him. "As you said that's just a guess." she said then laid back down.

Kyoufu quickly turned on his heal when she said that and his foot got caught between the leg of a chair and he hit the ground forcefully. "Oh my ass..." He groaned as he sat on the floor.

Kameko sat up and laughed a little at him. "Watch out for chairs..." She said then got up and walked over to him holding out a hand to help him back up.

Kyoufu rubbed his butt again and then took Kameko's hand and laughed as he stood up. "Thanks for warning me after I've fallen..." He said as he stared down into her eyes and smiled kindly. "You are beautiful...If it matters when a quarter demon says it." He said in a low comforting tone.

"Thank you Kyoufu." Kameko said as she leaned up and kissed his cheek. "You're welcome for the warning though." She said and laughed as she went back over to her bed and sat down again.

Kyoufu looked at Kameko a little stunned when she said his name. "You're thanks is not needed...I only spoke the truth." He said and smiled at her as he sat down on the chair he had just tripped over.

"What? You look a little stunned or something." Kameko said as she laid down on her side and looked at Kyoufu questioningly.

"Well...That was the first time you'd actually called me by my name..." Kyoufu said in a shy tone and looked down at the floor in front of him.

"Oh yeah sorry about that..." Kameko said and looked down towards his feet sadly.

"You are the only demon who has ever even asked me my name..." Kyoufu said sadly as he looked over at Kameko, years of hurt and pain showing in his mist blue eyes.

"Most don't care about the names of humans, quarter demons, half demons, heck most don't even care about my name as long as they have power they don't care." Kameko said very annoyed as she looked up at the ceiling again.

Kyoufu got up from his chair and walked over to where Kameko was and sat down on the bed and looked up at the ceiling. "Sorry, you just stared at it so much I was wondering what was so interesting." He said jokingly and laughed lightly.

"Oh shut up..." Kameko said jokingly as she looked back down at him.

Kyoufu laughed lightly as he looked over at Kameko then he just smiled at her looked at her then he glanced from her eyes to her lips. No! Bad, bad, bad thought! He yelled at himself mentally and shook his head.

"Ok you just start shaking you head for no reason, the Inu coming out in you?" She asked jokingly and laughed lightly as she looked up at him.

"Uhm, no...Just a bad thought I had to get rid of quickly." Kyoufu said with a light blush across his cheeks.

"Uhm, ok...I'm not going to ask what it was..." Kameko said as she sat up and looked out the window. "I wonder when my mother will send your sister up here?"

"I hope soon..." Kyoufu said sadly as he looked down at his hands and noticed a few cuts and bruises on them.

Kameko glanced back at Kyoufu to see him looking at his hands. "What's wrong?" She asked in a worried tone.

"Huh? Oh nothing," Kyoufu said as he looked at Kameko and smiled weakly.

"What's your sisters name anyway?" Kameko asked as she laid back down putting her hands behind her head and looked up at Kyoufu.

"Her name is Aino..." Kyoufu said as he looked over at Kameko and smiled.

"Is she little, or in her teens?" Kameko asked as she watched Kyoufu. "I'm trying to get to where I might recognize her a little..." She said and smiled up at him.

"She's in her early teens..." Kyoufu said and laid back some himself on the bed. "I hope you don't mind..." He said and glanced over at Kameko.

Kameko shrugged lightly. "No, not until I sense my father or some one." She said and smiled lightly.

"You know I would much rather have the senses than the fangs and the speed..." Kyoufu said as he stared at the ceiling now.

"You probably do have the senses, just never had some one to train you how to use it." Kameko said as she looked at him kind of seriously.

"You're the first demon I've ever talked to like this...So I guess you could be right." Kyoufu said and then he sighed.

"Every one has the ability to sense danger, even humans. But they can't control it like a demon can. So you should have a level above that. It of course would be no where near a full demon but it would be a lot more then just human's" Kameko said as she looked back up at the ceiling again.

"Kameko..." Kyoufu said as he just stared at the ceiling. "Can I ask you something?" He asked somewhat shyly.

"Sure." Kameko said as she looked back over to Kyoufu.

"I remember my mother telling me that one day I would be around or near a demon and if I smelt a strange smell to leave away from the smell...Do you know what she meant by that?" Kyoufu asked somewhat confused and shy at the same time.

"Uhm..." Kameko said as her cheeks turned a light shade of red. "It...Uh...Well...I think she ment the scent of a demon in heat..." She said slightly embarrassed. "That uh...that means that specific demon is ready for a mate and children..." She explained.

Kyoufu's face turned a bright shade of red and he reached back and took one of Kameko's pillows and put it over his face. "Let me die...Please..." He said in a muffled tone.

Kameko looked over to Kyoufu and smiled. "It's not that embarrassing..." She said even though her cheeks were still red.

Kyoufu glanced at Kameko from under the pillow and saw her red cheeks. "Then why are you blushing as well?" He asked and laughed a little.

"I just am..." Kameko said as she stuck her tongue out at him and looked back up at the ceiling.

Kyoufu threw the pillow back to where he had got it from and rolled over some and reached and took Kameko's chin in his hand and moved her face a little and pressed his lips lightly to hers.

"Well hello..." Kameko said once the kiss broke and she looked at him. "What made you do that?" She asked as she looked into his eyes.

Kyoufu laughed a little as he looked into her eyes. "I just wanted to give you my first kiss..." He said with a kind smile.

"Why me?" Kameko asked slightly confused as she looked into his eyes wondering why he wanted to give her his first kiss.

"Really...I don't know...Just something about you." Kyoufu said and smiled as he leaned down and kissed her cheek before lying back down and looking at the ceiling again.

Kameko looked over at him then up at the ceiling. "That was my first too, just to let you know." She said and closed her eyes.

"Sorry if I startled you..." Kyoufu said as he just stared at the ceiling. "So...Is this what you do all day?" He asked in a joking tone.

"Actually no, I'm waiting for your sister." Kameko said keeping her eyes closed. "And don't say you're sorry for that." She said moving her hands from behind her head so she could lie on the pillow.

Kyoufu looked over at Kameko oddly. "What made you think I was going to say 'Sorry'?" He asked curiously.

"I don't know...I just thought you might." Kameko said and sighed.

"Okay, I'm sorry." Kyoufu said and then laughed as he watched Kameko.

Kameko opened an eye and looked at Kyoufu. "Didn't I tell you not to say that?" She asked then closed her eye again.

Kyoufu laughed as he leaned over and kissed Kameko lightly on the lips again then just looked at her and smirked.

"You're smirking...Why?" Kameko asked as she looked at him after he'd kissed her again.

"No reason...You just smell nice." Kyoufu said and leaned over and started to nuzzle her neck.

"What made you remember what your mother said anyway?" Kameko asked as she glanced at him out of the corner of her eye.

"Some strange smell sparked my memory...Why?" Kyoufu asked as he started to kiss Kameko's neck.

"I was just wondering...stop kissing my neck would you..." Kameko said as she glanced at him again worriedly. It's okay he didn't know the sent...so he won't know about marking... She thought worriedly.

"Oh I'm sorry..." Kyoufu said in a shy tone as he stopped kissing her neck and looked at her a little confused.

Kameko sighed as she looked over at him and saw the confusion he had. "What's wrong?" She asked as she watched him.

"I feel weird..." Kyoufu said as he looked at Kameko.

"What do you mean you feel weird?" Kameko asked slightly confused now.

"My head feels like it's spinning..." Kyoufu said as he put his hand over his eyes and laid back some.

"Come on lets get you over to the window for fresh air." Kameko said as she got off the bed and held her hand out to Kyoufu.

Kyoufu shook his head no as he just lay on the bed. "I've never felt this way before..." He said somewhat puzzled.

"Ok...but I think fresh air would be good for you." Kameko said as she watched him closely.

Kyoufu removed his hand and looked at Kameko oddly. "Why are you looking at me like I'm going to eat you alive or something?" He asked a little confused.

"I'm not, I'm worried. You said you never felt this way before..." Kameko said as she looked into his eyes.

"And I haven't...It just started when I smelt that weird scent..." Kyoufu groaned as he covered his eyes again with his hand.

"Ok..." Kameko said then looked down at the floor as if she was thinking. "Do you smell it now?" She asked and looked back up at him.

"I can't tell...I think I do...My head hurts to bad to think about sniffing..." Kyoufu whined as he put his other had over the hand he already had over his eyes.

I'm going to try something... Kameko thought then backed away from Kyoufu out of the path of the gentle breeze coming through the window.

Kyoufu blinked a few times and removed his hands. "My head doesn't hurt anymore..." He said as he sat up.

"Damn it, not now..." Kameko whined lowly as she backed against the wall and sat down against it. "It's not fair..." She said still whining.

"What's wrong, Kameko?" Kyoufu asked as he moved to the edge of the bed and a little closer to Kameko and put his hand back to his forehead.

"Uh...nothing..." Kameko said as her cheeks turned red again then moved away from him again.

"Why do you keep moving away from me?" Kyoufu asked a little confused as he looked at Kameko.

"I uh...Well...I move away you feel fine..." Kameko said not wanting to come right out and say it since it is embarrassing for her.

Kyoufu got up and walked over to where Kameko was sitting and when he got close to her he fell to his knees. "Damn...My head is killing me again..." He said as he kneeled down in front of Kameko.

"See I told you...Come on get up..." Kameko said as she stood up then pulled Kyoufu up with some trouble and started to lead him back over to the bed.

Kyoufu leaned on Kameko some and a soft purr started to come from him and he started to nuzzle her neck again.

"Come on sit down..." Kameko said in a worried tone once she stopped by the side of the bed. Stop touching my neck... She thought worriedly.

Kyoufu sat down on the edge of the bed but brought Kameko down with him. "I know you know what's wrong with me...So tell me..." He said as he looked into her eyes a hint of worry in his.

"It's not you...it's me..." Kameko said as her cheeks turned red again as she looked at him.

Kyoufu closed his eyes and a single black stripe appeared on each of his cheeks and a black crescent moon appeared on his forehead. "I...I hate this feeling..." He muttered as he looked at Kameko, his eyes now having slits.

"Ok...you're changing..." Kameko said, as she looked at him slightly confused. I need to get away from him before he does something he'll regret... she thought and started to stand up.

"Kameko..." Kyoufu groaned as he held his head in his hands. "I hate having a headache..." He said trying to lighten the moment.

Kameko laughed a little and walked back over to the wall where she didn't bother him. "Yeah I can see that."

"Kameko?" A young man with short, spiky black hair and sapphire red eyes asked as he pushed the door to his sister's room open and walked in to see her sitting almost in a corner. "Uhm...What's going on?"

"Nothing." Kameko said standing up quickly and walked over to her brother.

A low growl came from Kyoufu when Kameko started to walk over to her brother and he followed her with his gaze as she walked.

"Uh...Kameko. Who's Inu boy?" Her brother, Jigoku asked confused as he looked around his sister.

"He's a new servant..." Kameko said, as she looked over to Kyoufu stunned that he had growled at her walking over to her brother.

"What's wro..." Jigoku started to ask then smirked. "Oh...Never mind..." He said then laughed after he sniffed the air.

"Shut up would you." Kameko said and jokingly punched her brother's arm. "What made you come in here anyway?"

"Mom told me you wanted the slave girl I picked out but I came to tell you she ran away..." Jigoku said as he watched Kyoufu and nodded toward him when he stood up.

Kameko glanced back at Kyoufu. "Did she get away?" She asked as she turned back to her brother.

"Yes she got over the wall before any of the guards even knew she was running away." Jigoku said as he watched Kyoufu. "You do realize how dangerous Inu Youkai are right? They have very bad tempers." He said as he backed away from Kameko some. "I don't want him thinking I want you..." He said while he started smirking.

"That makes me feel so loved lil brother." Kameko said as she shook her head at him.

"Well look at him...He looks scary already." Jigoku said as he moved toward the door. "Hope you two have fun...Bye Kameko..." He said as he started to leave.

Kameko grabbed her Jigoku's arm stopping him from leaving. "He's going to something he regret's then I'm going to hurt you." She said in a worried tone.

"Sorry big sister it isn't my fault you...Wait aren't all slaves suppose to be human?" Jigoku asked a little puzzled.

"Not all are human, most are though." Kameko said as she looked at Jigoku with an eyebrow raised.

"And what is Inu boy over...Well behind you?" Jigoku asked as he backed up some.

"Huh?" Kameko asked as she turned her head a little to see Kyoufu right behind her. "Hi..." She said and laughed a little as she looked back at him.

Kyoufu just growled as he looked at Jigoku, his fangs bared.

"Ok that's my sign to leave..." Jigoku said as he moved back toward the door again.

"I have a chicken little brother..." Kameko said and sighed as she shook her head at him.

"Well I ain't fighting a Inu Youkai for you...So I hope you two have a bunch of fun." Jigoku said as he disappeared through the door.

"What love my family has for me." Kameko said as she turned and walked around Kyoufu going over to the Balcony.

Kyoufu watched every move Kameko made and then he shook his head a little. "Kameko?" He asked as he looked at her.

"Yes Kyoufu?" Kameko asked as she turned to look at him.

"I think my health would have stayed good if I hadn't of met you..." Kyoufu said jokingly as he walked over to the bed and sat down.

Kameko laughed a little then looked at him seriously. "You need to look in a mirror." She said and motioned to a mirror across from her.

Kyoufu turned and looked at himself in the mirror. "What in the hell happened to me...Why do I have a moon on my forehead?" He asked as he poked at his forehead.

"I don't know...Your demon appearance has came out. My little brother done noticed...course you scared the hell out of him." Kameko said as she watched him and raised an eyebrow when he poked his forehead.
