The Saddness in The Heart
Part 3



Laying in her bed, tears fell from her emerald green eyes. She had tried going to sleep, but something kept
stoping her from reaching sleep and dreams. The old memories, her pains and nightmares, were keeping her from
reaching the sweet bliss of nothingness. Instead of her dreams, she got flashbacks and a feeling of nothingness inside her
instead. Another memory reached her mind. A time when a group of kids from her old elementry school had beat
her up and left her alone with cuts and bruises. She remembered that one, the main girl had some long, sharp nails
that hurt, and left marks and blood. The other five or so girls behind her cheered as the one slapped and beat
her over and over again. As much as she tried, she couldn't beat the other girl or defend herself that well. The fight had not
stopped intill a boy from her class pulled them apart. He then asked what had happened to cause all of that. Lying, she had
said she didn't know. But, truthfully, the reason was the older girl was mad that her old nieghbor had moved next door to Taski, herself.
Taski didn't understand why she would be mad about that. She didn't make her friend move, her family just wanted to
and found out the house next door was avalialbe. Then, another memory popped inside her head, another one that hurt to remember.
Some boys after school were teasing her. Her arms were red from the sunburn she got the day before. The boys were
enjoying themselves as she sat on the concrete bench and as they teased her. One boy had long blonde hair, brown
eyes, pale, and looked a bit goofy in her statement. The other boy had short, light brown hair, brown eyes, and had a light tan.
Both were taller than her, like almost everyone else in the school. She was even shorter than some of the kindergarden kids!
The blonde boy was annoying her more than the other one. He, the blonde, was new to the school and already was picking on her.
All three of them were in 5th grade together, but none of them were really friends. Nick, the blonde, was someone Taski
hated, the only person she really hated. First day he was here and he was teasing her, just so he could make friends. In the end, it
worked for him since one of the only people she trusted, Kate, was friends with him. That was really the end to her and Kate's relationship.
Still, Taski would talk with Kate, but she didn't trust her. Before Taski could really comprehend what was happening, Nick had
grasped her arm and lifted her up. The burn stun and was painful under his grasp. " Please stop." Taski glared up at the boy who
held her left arm. All he did was laugh as he gripped her arm harder. " Chris! Grab her other arm!" Chris, the other boy
grabbed her other arm much tighter than Nick was. Tears started to gather in her eyes as the pain increased about three times.
" Let go you jerks!" Taski tried kicking them and everything but nothing worked, both continued to laugh and torture her burnt arms.
She was right outside the office, and the window was open. Why couldn't the adults hear her? Must of not cared. Minutes passed and
still the two were hurting her. Finally, she broke free from Nick's grasp and kicked Chris in the knee. She was free from the
pain. Intill both started to go round and round poking her arms. "Where are you mom?" She thought in her mind.
Taski could of walked home since she lived down the street, but her mom left a message at the office saying she was going
to pick her up today and take her into town. Getting fed up with the two boys, she flung her arm out and scrathed one of the boys.
Honestly, she was aiming for Nick, but she missed and hit Chris instead. Chris was a nice kid when he wanted to be, but
sometimes he wanted to look "cool" in front of others. Shaking her head, Taski broke from the trance her mind went into. She
then remembered that the next day she was called into the office, along with four other kids in her class. In the end, she didn't get in
trouble. The whole incident was for something different that had happened during reccess. That was one time though, that she
was scared out of her mind. School back then was hell for her though, one of the things that made her sad and changed.
Back then, she didn't have many friends. From 3rd to 5th grade, she had a total of eight friends. Some of those friends though she
couldn't trust or confide in. In the end, she was a loner. There was only two people who listened to her and she really listened to.
Audrie and Autum were her only two real friends. Audrie had moved away in 4th grade, leaving her alone. Then Autum was a little kid.
Autum was in kindergarden when Taski was in 3rd grade. But still, the two were friends and Taski loved Autum like a little sister.
Not like the little sister she had at home. Her older and younger were total jerks and both totured her too. Plus, she lived in her
older sister's shadow, making it hard to go to school and others know you as "mini" whoever. Everyday Taski hated. But, that was
in the past. Though, still, it had effects to her. She was behind in school, didn't understand what a "relationship" was, and so much
more. Taski had so much to catch up on. Still to this day, she was entering 9th grade, she was trying to catch up on life.
But she was behind in everything and she cried because of it. Only, she cried at night, to hide her pains.
Like all others though, she had pains and a broken past. Everyone had at least one. But no one seemed to understand or care
about her pains and past. So she hid it all in herself, hoping for it to go away. Never did. She just hoped someday that there would
be someone other than her old dog she could confide in. Maybe, she might find a boyfriend who she loved and
loved her back? Maybe, she just wished and hoped for the day. Before long, she was fast asleep in bed, hoping for her Mr. Right
to one day find her. Who knew, she might have met Mr. Right. She was just going to have to wait and hope into the future.
