Chapter 1: Power Spike
Crow rolled over in bed. When his arm hit the matress he awoke. He got out and pulled on his boxers. He went to the bathroom and found Raven breathing heavily and leaning over the sink.
“Hey. You okay?” he asked placing his hand on her back and rubbing.
Raven looked up, “Yeah. Just a really bad headache.”
“Well take some asprin and come back to bed.”
“I took some already. It's not working that well.”
“I think I know a way for you to get some sleep.”
Crow wrapped his arms around Raven's waist and pulled her close.
“I really don't feel up to it Crow. Not now,” Raven said rubbing her temple.
Crow sighed, “All right. At least come back to bed.”
“Okay.”
The two went back to bed and fell asleep. They awoke later and got dressed. They went out to breakfast. In the middle of breakfast Raven grabbed her head and the plates shattered.
“Whoa!” Beast boy shouted.
Starfire looked confused, “What has just happened.”
“I don't know,” Raven said rubbing her forehead, “I've got this really bad headache.”
“I think your powers are expanding,” Crow said examineing the plates.
“So Raven's going to be destroying things now?” Beast boy asked.
Crow glared at him, “Once her power matures she can begin training to control it. But until it matures, yes, she will break things.”
“I didn't mean it like that,” Beast boy coward under Crow's gaze.
Later that night Raven's power spiked again this time much worse. A black sphere appeared in the Titan's living room. It slowly begin to pull things in. Crow managed to get Raven to grabbed onto the couch but in doing so Crow lost his gripped and went flying into the sphere. He lost conciousness imediately.
When he awoke he found himself in an alley. It was obviously night so Crow didn't worry to much. He looked at himself in a puddle and found that he was still himself. He heard a fight going on and stood up. He walked around the corner and saw a disturbing combination of Cinder Block, Plasmus, and _ fighitng the Titans.
Crow created his “shadow sword” along with his “shadow armor” and walked toward the combatants. The monstrocity threw the Titans back. Crow created a net of shadows and cuaght everyone. He put them down gently and continued walking.
“Stay here,” he said.
The creature brought it's fist back and then forward slamming into Crow. Crow went flying back crashing into a building. The Titans gasped and prepared to fight the creature again.
“Don't bother. You can't beat him,” A feminine voice said above them.
They all looked up and saw Terra floating on a rock in the outfit made for her by Slade. A shadow tentacle grabbed her and yanked her down. Crow slowly stood out of the rubble and growled.
“You reak of Slade,” he growled baring his fangs.
“As an aprentice would,” Terra smirked.
A boulder suddenly ripped through Crow making him disolve into mist. The mist soon began to collect itself. Soon a mouth and eye were clearly visible along with several other body parts.
“It'll take more then that to kill me sweetheart,” Crow growled, “The night belongs to the shadows, and we're about to raise hell.”
Crow stepped out of the pile of rubble shadows jumping from each foot step. He threw Terra away leaving her unconcious. He continued walking toward the creature.
“I defeated each of you alone,” He said as the shadows wrapped around his hand, “You think I can't take you all on together?”
The shadows formed into a sword and Crow jumped into the air. He brought the sword down making the creature block with it's arms. The sword cut through the creature like it was air. The creauter screamed in pain and fell to the ground. Crow spit on the ground and turned around.
“Damn I'm hungry,” Crow said as his armor and sword faded.
“Wow!” Beast boy shouted.
“Who are you?” Robin asked.
Crow was taken aback, “You guys are joking right?”
“I do not know who you are?” Starfire said.
Crow hit the ground, “That sphere. It threw me into another world. Damn it!”
Crow slammed his fist into the ground leaving a small hole. Everyone stepped back and then Raven walked forward. She saw tears falling down Crow's cheeks.
“How exactly did you get here?” she asked placing her hand on his back.
“You, Raven,” Crow said.
On one of the roof's three figures stood watching the scene below.
“Who is he?” one asked.
“I don't know. But he's powerful. We may have to keep an eye on him,” another figure said.
“Are we going to inform them about the tournament?” the third asked.
“I think we have to,” the second said.
The first sighed, “I don't like it.”
“Of course you don't,” the third responded.
“We'll tell them tomorrow. Let's go home,” the first said turning around and walking off.
