Chapter 1
Another night, another kill. That was how her life went. She was a hired assassin. Though, at one time she would be disgusted at the thought of taking a life, now she could do it without thinking twice. She would always wear black when she killed.
Please have mercy! What business does an angel of death have with me?
“Angel of death.” Those had been the man's dieing words. Once the last word had passed his lips she had disembodied him in one skilled sweep of her sword but those words had stuck with her. `I'm not an angel of death… angels are pure even those that kill are pure at heart.' At least that's what she would always tell herself whenever the memory would arise.
Slowly she left the ally and pulled out a cell phone from her back pocket. “It's done. You'll never see me again.” With that she ripped the phone in two and through it into the dumpster as she passed it.
If you were ever to pass her on the street you would think she is nothing but a teenager that needs to get back to school. Her appearance gives away nothing about her occupation, if fact she looks like nothing but a weak and defenseless little girl. Of course the moment you looked into her eyes, you would realize she was anything but.
Her eyes. They were probably the most intriguing thing about her. They were inhumanly blue but unlike most her age, they held an understanding and a tattered soul. And the only time you would see her in such a state is if you were unlucky enough to find her on a good day. But worse still is the empty void in her eyes. They would remind anyone of the living dead: they held no emotion… no life.
Her face, though it was that of the fairest lady, also held no emotion but that of indifference. Those that were `privileged' enough to see her smile never lived to tell another soul. Of course with my flattering description her smile you would never think that her smile was like that of the devil`s, full of promise. But they were promises of death and pain and if anyone were to see one of her cursed smiles, it would drive them insane for they would always see that smile in their minds eye. This girls name suited her perfectly. Her name was….

“Kanna!” A girl with brown hair and red highlights yelled.
“Huh? Oh, it's you Sono. What's up?” Kanna responded after realizing who had called out to her.
“Oh nothing much…” Sono said with a mysterious glint in her eye.
“Oh no. I know that look in your eye. You're planning something or you know something I don't.” She accused her friend.
“I'm hurt that you would say such a thing about me!” Sono dramatically said with sarcasm dripping from every word.
“Riiight. Let's say I believe you. Anyway what did you want?” Kanna inquired.
“Oh….. Well I was just wondering if you saw the new guy yet.” Sono said the glint in her eye was back with a vengeance.
That's when Kanna realized just how packed the school yard really was. Everywhere you looked it was a sea of green. Sadly that was the school's colour so the students were all forced to wear the unpleasant colour.
“Um… No I don't think I've met yet. Why?”
“Oh nothing. I was just wondering.”
`Alright now I no she's up to something. If that twinkle in her eye gets any brighter she's going to blind everyone here.' Kanna thought. Just then she felt something. Not like a tap or a push it was more of a tug in the back of her mind. It was telling her to be careful and that something was coming. Her Blue eyes started to scan the area for anything that could be a threat. The corner of her eye caught something. It was a boy. By the looks of his uniform he attended their school but she had never seen him before. Now normally this wouldn't have bothered her at all but there was something off about this guy. `Blue eyes. Blonde hair. Blue tips. Tan skin. Medium build. Looks like he does sports…. By the look of him, he plays soccer. Hmm I'll keep my eye on him.' Kanna had a knack for being able to remember and know things about people that she shouldn't know.
Just as she finished her `analysis' on this new guy the bell rang signaling that she had to get to homeroom.
