Chapter 11
"To Gain One is To Lose One (Part 2 of 2)"

"By the power in my heart, help me bring this poor boy from death's grip," said
Cleini. She was trying to heal Apollo but it wasn't working, "Somebody help me.
Ruby, you're a elf witch."

"Sorry, but I can't bring people back from the dead. I'm not that powerful,"
said Ruby.

"Kismet?"

"I hate to say this, but I can't. He's dead," said Kismet.

"But you brought me back to life."

"You weren't all the way dead."

"Snott?"

"Cleini, can you see a future for him?"

Cleini closed her eyes. Then when she opened her eyes, tears flooded them.

"No, I can't. I can't see nothing."

Then all a sudden, Kismet fall down into a deep sleep, but Stry caught him.

"What's wrong with him?" asked Stry.

"Somebody is trying to contact him. It was so important, they made him go to
sleep, but don't worry, he will wake up soon," said Ruby.

--Kismet's Dream--

This time Kismet was already on the bed. His dream girl was sitting on her knees
and her hands were across her stomach. Blood was dripping off her hand and tears
fell from her eyes.

"Why didn't you help me? Why? I'm dying. Why can't you save me," she said. Then
she took her hands off her stomach and brought them up so you can see the
bloodlines of them, "You're killing me and you don't know it. If I die, the
whole world is doom. You need my help, you can't do it only."

"I know that. Why do you think I have friends with me," said Kismet.

"I'm one of your friends and you let me die. And soon every one of your friends
will die. Wanderer, Ruby and Stry by the hand of Katie and Knows-a-lot and Snott
and Cleini by Nala. Then you, you will be all only and your own people will turn
on you. And all because you're too weak to save your so-called best friend."

"Wait you're taking about Apollo, but how will you die if he dies?"

"Because we," then Kismet's dream girl changed into Apollo, "are one."

"Apollo. How...how can this be?"

"Simple. It's one of my little secrets," then he changed back into the girl,
"I'm actually Princess Diana, but don't tell anyone. I used my magic to turn
myself into a boy, so I can ran-away from my destiny. And little by little I
became Apollo."

"But how can I save you?"

"Look in my bag. They will be magical stuff. Take the pink water and mix it with
the liquor in the blue bottle and the magic dust in the aqua pouch. Pour it into
my mouth, it will change me back to my true self."

"But how can I bring you back from the dead?"

"In your heart and in your sword will be the answer. Quickly, go before it's too
late."

Then suddenly Kismet woke-up. He ran to Apollo and tore the saddlebag from his
shoulder. He dumped everything in it out to the ground and started to look for
the indigents to Diana's portion.

"What is he doing?" said Stry.

"I don't know," replied Ruby.

Kismet found the pink water, the blue bottle, and the aqua pouch. He poured the
liquor in the blue bottle and the magic dust in the pink water and shook it up.
Then he turned Apollo around and poured the drink in his mouth.

Apollo slowly turned back into a girl. His hair grew longer, and his face and
body became more feminine.

"What the?" said Wanderer as he saw what happened to Apollo, "I knew something
was wrong with that boy."

"What happened?" said Cleini.

"This is Apollo's true self," said Kismet.

"But he's, I mean she's still dead," said Snott.

"Not for long."

Kismet took the sword out and placed it on Diana. He placed his hands over the
sword and closed his eyes. Suddenly, these huge, blue butterfly wings came from
his back and he started glowing blue.

Then Diana's eyes opened and her wound was healed. Immediately, her hand went to
her hair. She stroked her hair to the very bottom of it that went to just below
the shoulder.

"I'm back. I'm really back. Thank you, Kismet," she said as she threw her arms
around his neck and hugged him, "My spell fell and I became trap in my brother's
body."

"Princess Diana," said Stry as he bowed.

"Stry," she said as she ran and hugged him, "I'm so sorry that I ran-away. I was
so afraid, I didn't want to go to that place."

"It's okay. It was too much for a five year old to bare."

"What do you mean?" asked Ruby.

"Princess Diana is the last heir to the throne of Fuxec."

"I'm actually the last heir to two thrones," said Diana, "My father's and
Fuxec's."

"Wait. You're that Diana, King Juan was telling us about aren't you," said Ruby.

"Yes. I won't deny it."

"You're King Robert's daughter," said Kismet, "You're the enemy."

"I'm not the enemy. Does your hatred of my father make you that blind Kismet? I
was by your side the whole time as Apollo. It doesn't make me any different."

"Yes it does. I thought I knew you, but now I don't know who the hell you are. I
don't want to see you ever again."

Kismet walked out of the bar and Diana ran after him. She caught up with him and
placed her hand on him. Kismet quickly turned around and took out his sword. The
only thing between her heart and the sword was her skin.

"I said I don't want to see you ever again. Don't you understand that or are you
too high and mighty to. The next time I see you, you will surely die," said
Kismet.

"So that's it, Kismet. We're now enemies. But I tell you this Kismet; I'm
nothing like my father. If anyone is, it's you. You're foolish and full of proud
like him," said Diana, "I should have know better."

Then Diana ran off back past the bar and everyone. Tears flooded her eyes as she
escaped this horrible place. Then she disappeared from everyone view. The rest
of the group walked up to Kismet, who just put back his sword.

Wanderer walked up to him and smacked him across the head.

"What was that for?" said Kismet.

"You are a fool, Kismet," Wanderer replied, "We needed her. One because she
holds the Bow of Elements and two, she's can help us while in City of White."

"She lied to all of us."

"So," said Ruby, "Everyone has their secrets."

"If anything happens to her, I will place you personally reasonable," said Stry,
"She was Fuxec's last hope of peace."

Then he walked back into the bar with Ruby.

"You should be careful what you wish for," said Snott. Then he walked back into
the bar with Cleini by him.

"You're the greatest fool I even knew," said Wanderer as he walked back to the
rest of the group.

"I know I don't know you that well, but there's an old saying I keep to heart,"
said Allie, "When you love some one, set them free. And if they come back, you
know it's meant to be. Cherish those words always. I live my life by them."

"You don't know me at all," said Kismet.

"I saw the hurt in your eyes and in hers and don't tell me I didn't. I have seen
those eyes many times. She was special to you somehow even if you only known her
true-self for any a couple of minutes."

"I known her all my life. She lived in my dreams. She was my voice of reason
after the attack on my village that took all I loved. She saved me from death."

"Then why were you were you such a jerk to her?"

"Because it was her father's fault for the death of everyone I loved."

"Her father's, not hers. Wanderer was right, you are a fool. Love is hard to
find and most of the time, it's too late when you do find it."

"My master, I have killed one of members in Kismet group," said Nala.

"Good, good," said King Robert, "Who was it?"

"An annoying boy named Apollo."

"Apollo. I had a son named that once, but he is long in the grave by his
sister."

"You had children."

"Yes, twins. Beautiful twins, a boy and a girl. I miss them especially Diana.
She could have made a perfect queen."

"I can give you children."

"Just a son to rule the world after I die and maybe a couple of girls."

"You mean that."

"Sure. Hey we can get started right now."

"I will love to."

Diana stop running when she was in the middle of the woods surrounding the City
of Cards lost. The sun has just set an hour ago and Diana was surrounding by
complete darkness. She was scared because many things haunt during the night
hour, which are evil. She heard some noises are footsteps and whispers all
around her. She built up her courage to bring some light to see and when she did
a spell to bring a flame to a stick she found, they were a group of four male
vampires circling her.

"My, my, look what we found. A innocent young girl, my favorite," said one with
short black hair.

"Yes, she will be a nice treat, don't you think Damon?" said other one that had
long blonde hair.

"Ash, I think I have a better use for her than her blood," said the one with
brown hair that they called Damon.

"Better use than her blood. Nothing better than blood," said the last one that
was bald.

"I have decided that we need a dampire to watch out for us during the day."

"We don't need a halfer in our group," the black hair one said.

"Yeah. Halfers always bring trouble," said Ash.

"I agree with him. I don't want to be part of your plan," said Diana as she
aimed her bow.

"This one has spirit. I like that in a girl," said Damon as walked up to her,
"There's no need for that."

Damon took Diana's bow and threw it to the ground. Then he brought her closed
and forcefully kissed her. Diana tried to get out of it, but the more she
struggled, the tighter he had on. He finished the kissed and Diana fell into his
arms asleep.

"Why do you have to do that Damon?" said the bald one.

"She would make a perfect bride, don't you think?" Damon asked.

"She would be perfect for a midnight snack," said Ash.

"If any of you touch her, you will have to face me and my wrath. Enrique, get
her bow."

"Yes father," said the black hair one.

"Let's take her to our den."

Kismet hardly slept that night. He knew he let down the others of what he did to
Diana. All he thought that night was about her and nothing else. Then he had a
dream about Diana. It started out like the others ones. He was walking down the
hallway and walked into her room, but something was different. In the curtains
of the bed danced two shadows, one of Diana and one of other. He walked up to
the bed and flew opened the curtains. And there was Diana making love to a brown
hair vampire.

"Diana!" said Kismet.

"Oh, it's you, my love or should I say ex-love. You broke my heart and made me
cry, but know I found other," Diana replied.

"How could you do this?"

"It's all your fault. You pushed me into this. Besides I thought you never
wanted to see my face again."

"I was just overreacting."

"I'll say, but it's too late. I found other love and we are going to have a
child, a cute little dampire. I bet my father will love me for that."

"Diana don't. I realized my mistake. Come back. We need you, I need you."

"Too late for that."

Then Kismet woke-up. He couldn't get back to sleep after.

Early the next morning before the sun came up, Diana woke-up. Her hands where
chained to a side of the cave wall. There were three coffins just on the other
side and a table with bloodstains next to her. The vampires that captured her
last night was no where to be seen, but then she heard them coming down the hall
that lead to the entrance to the cave.

"So, did you get lucky tonight Ash," she heard one said.

"Nope, just the usual whore. How about you Edward?" she heard Ash said.

"Some here. It's rare to find a virgin in that city. We need a new place to
look," said the one they called Edward.

"I agree, but my father never do it. He likes it here to much," said Enrique.

"Speaking of Damon, where is he?"

"He said he's going to be late."

"It's his brother, Sonny, isn't it? You know, he been no fun since he got out of
jail," said Ash.

"Tell me about it. I remember he had the best whores in town. Their blood was
excellent."

Then Diana saw them and suddenly, they stopped talking. They just walked to
their coffins and went to sleep.

After awhile, she heard Damon coming. She dreaded what he was going to do to
her. He was carrying a bag of something. He walked pasted her and into a door by
the table. A few minutes later, he walked back to her.

"Here. You must be hungry," he said as he handed her an apple.

But Diana didn't take it; "I'm not. So you can take that apple and shove it."

"Are you sure? It will be long until you eat something else. I suggest you take
it."

"Fine," she said as she grabbed the apple. It was one of the sweetest apples she
ever tasted.

Then Damon took a key from his pocket and released her from the chains.

"Are you afraid that I will ran away?" Diana asked.

"You won't. Take my hand. I promise you, I won't hurt. I'll be gentle."

Diana took his hand seeing there was never else she could do. He led her to the
room he was just in. As she walked in she felt she was transported to somewhere
else. The room was that of something she saw in her castle. Candles were lit
everywhere and in the middle was a coffin bigger than the three outside. Damon
lifted her up and into the coffin. Then he went in and shut the door.

The coffin didn't have much room in it, which made Diana scared, very scared.
Damon took off his shirt and started to kiss Diana gentle on the mouth. Then he
moved down to her neck. He unbuttoned her shirt and moved his mouth down to her
small breasts. For some reason, Diana enjoyed it greatly. She put her hands on
his head and brought him back up to her mouth where she kissed him, which
surprise Damon, but he didn't mind. They kicked off their shoes and took off
each other pants. From there, they bodies was in sync with each other. It was
like they can read each other mind they know what the other on wanted. They both
enjoyed themselves greatly and didn't want to stop.

"I think Diana is in danger," said Kismet.

It was early in the morning and the rest of the group just woken-up. After
searching all yesterday for Diana, they decided to spend one more night in City
of Cards.

"What do you mean?" said Wanderer.

"I had a dream about her last night."

"What was it about?" asked Stry.

"You would kill me if I told you."

"What was it about?"

"Diana was in bed making love to a vampire."

"What does the vampire look like?" asked Allie.

"Why?"

"Because I probably know how to find Diana."

"Okay. He was tall and dark."

"How was the hair done? Was it oiled back into a ponytail?"

"In the matter of fact it was."

"You're in luck. I know two vampires that fit that describes. Identical twins,
Sonny and Damon, but Sonny supposedly to be on the straight and narrow and
commented to a girl already, so it probably wasn't him. But Damon on the other
hand, I remember him wanting to bring a dampire into his group and would to do
about anything to get one like kidnapping a girl and making her pregnant."

"Do you know where he sleeps?" asked Stry.

"Of course. It's in a cave in the woods by here. It used to be Sonny's save
place when the guards are after him, so I been they a lot."

"Take us there."

"Be careful and quiet. Three other vampires rest in the main room," said Allie
as she led the group into a cave. They walked quietly in the hallway and into
the main room where they heard a loud snoring.

"Damon will be behind that door," Allie whispered.

"The door's lock," said Stry as he tried to open it.

"I know what to do," said Snott, "Back up."

Snott took his ax and chopped at the door when the vampire snored, but when he
finally busted down the door, the middle coffin opened and Ash came out.

"Hey what are you guys doing here?" said Ash. Then he banged on the other coffins, "Wake. We have guest."

The last one opened first and Enrique got up.

"What is all that noise? I'm trying to sleep here," he said.

"We have visitors," Ash replied, "Edward wake-up."

Then the unopened coffin opened and Edward came out.

"Kismet, Wanderer, and Stry, go get Diana," said Allie, "The rest of us can
defeat this weaklings."

"Who are you calling weak, Allie? I remember the last time I saw you, you were a
sorry excuse for a cat-person," said Ash.

"Ashley, you're still the same."

"I wonder what my uncle saw in you," said Enrique.

"I'll take Ash. Snott, you can take the bald one and Ruby take Enrique."

"What about me?" asked Cleini.

"You're back-up. Ready?"

"Ready," said Snott and Ruby.

"Cat-strike," said Allie as she jumped up and extended her claws. Ash blocked it
with a high kicked knocking her down, but lucky for her that cats always land on
their feet. She flapped herself back up and back kicked Ash against the wall.
Then she took out a stake and throw into Ash's heart turning him into dust.

"I knew this would come in handy," said Allie as she pulled the stake from the
wall. Then she threw it out Snott, "Here."

"Thanks," he said as he caught it.

Edward and him was already beating each other up. Each had a black eye and a
bloody face. As Snott caught the stake, Edward punch him on the right side of
his face, but Snott quickly punched back and took the stake into Edward's heart
bringing him to the same fate as his friend.

"Are you all right?" Cleini asked as she ran to him.

"Fine. I've gotten worst before. Here Ruby," Snott said as he threw the stake to
Ruby, but Ruby didn't catch, Enrique did.

"Looky what I have," Enrique said.

"And looky what I have," said Ruby with a fireball in hand.

She threw the fireball at Enrique. He caught it in his hand making him to drop
the stake. Ruby used her powers to move the stake into her hand. While Enrique
trying to get the fireball out, Ruby walked up and staked him.

"I think our work here is done," said Allie.

Meanwhile Kismet, Stry, and Wanderer walked up to the coffin in Damon's room.
They can hear noises in there, but groans and moans basically. Kismet was too
afraid to open it for what he would find and what will happen to him from what
Stry will do to him, if it was something bad.

"You open it," said Kismet.

"I'm not opening it. You open it," said Wanderer.

"No, you open it,"

"I'll open it," said Stry.

Suddenly the noises stopped. The coffin opened and Damon came up.

"Who are you?" he said.

"We came for Diana," said Kismet.

"Love, it's for you."

"What do you mean, Damon?" Diana asked as she came up, wearing Damon's black
shirt, "Oh, it's you."

"Diana, we came to rescue you," said Kismet.

"I thought you never want to see me again."

"I was not thinking. Please come back with us."

"I don't want to. I like it here."

"Princess, you must come with us," said Stry.

"You're a princess," said Damon.

"Yeah, so?" said Diana.

"So, you're a princess."

"Yeah, get over it. It's no big deal. And Stry I'm not going. Kismet broke my
heart and led me here in the first place."

"I was being foolish. My hatred of your father got the better of me, so please
come back," said Kismet.

"No."

"Don't be a fool Diana. You have the Bow of the Elements," said Wanderer, "And
if you like it or not, you're very important. So you two have to get over your
proud, and get it together so we can wake the fairy queen."

"Fine. Let me get dress first. So go outside all of you except for you Damon.
You have to help me find my clothes."

"Kismet when we leave here I'm going to kill you," said Stry as they left the
room.

"I know," he responded back.

In a few minutes, Diana came out fully dress and her hair up into two buns.
Damon was following her, fully dress too.

"So this is good-bye Damon. It's been fun," said Diana.

"Yeah," Damon replied.

Diana kissed him and then left. She grabbed her stuff and joined up with the
group who was waiting patience outside of the cave.

"Can you be any longer?" said Ruby.

"Hi, Ruby. Glad to see you too," Diana replied.

"Are you okay, princess?" said Stry.

"I'm fine, Stry. So don't worry about me."

"So are we going or what?" said Allie.

"Yeah, we going."

The group started walking to the north for the next weapon. Diana was at the
back when Kismet came up to her.

"Diana, I'm sorry. I d..." Kismet said, but Diana interrupted.

"I know you didn't mean to. Please, don't sweat it. My broken heart had all
ready been healed," she responded. Then she ran up to the front where Ruby is.

"Women are funny things, you know," said Allie to Kismet, "They can be all
pissed at you one second and love you the next."

"Tell me about it," said Kismet.

"Don't try to figure them out. It just one mystery that couldn't and shouldn't
be solved."

"Thanks for the tip."

"Any time."
