Chapter 13
"The Small Holder"

It's been a month since Katie been on the throne and already her people hated
her, but she didn't care. She will soon kill them all anyway, but first she
needed to take over the fairy kingdom. She sent all of her troops to conquer it,
but she stayed at the City of White at the time being.

As the days went by, she became more evil and sex craze. Knows-a-lot wasn't
doing it for her anymore so every possible guy she could find she brought to
bed. Her favorites were the prisoners. They were more dangerous because she
didn't know if they are going to try to kill her or not. But at the end, they
were all grateful. Most of them had been years since they touch a woman and some
never had.

She kept Knows-a-lot busy, so he won't find out. It'd been working so far, but
they were far too many close calls and he was coming suspicious. She would sleep
with him ever now and again, but after she had her sheets changed and took a
very long bath.

But one day he found out. She was in her bed with her favorite prisoner. A
clever demon thief named Smith Ivory. He was of a medium height, slightly built,
but very flexible. He was her favorite because he was about as sex craze as her,
has little respect to authority like herself, and liked it rough.

"Is that the best you have to offer today, my queen?" Smith asked as he lay next
to Katie.

"You're always complaining. Do you every get tire of if?" she replied.

"Nope."

"Do you want to taste the blood of a queen?"

"Sounds tempting."

Katie got up and sat on the chest of Smith. She spread her arms out, so he can
see the entire top half of her body.

"Bite me anywhere, but don't kill me," she said.

Smith bared his fangs and bit down on the side of Katie's stomach. Katie got
pleasure out of this. Then after awhile Katie left his head to make him stop and
kissed him. She could taste her blood on his lips and while she did that, the
two bite holes healed and left nothing for her to remember this day.

Then suddenly the door flew open and Knows-a-lot walked in very angry.

"So this is what you do when I'm gone. You sleep with filth," he said very
angrily.

"Yeah, so?" she replied as she turned around to face him.

"You filthy whore."

He grabbed the knife from Katie's dresser and threw out Katie's heart, but when
it touch her skin, it stopped. Katie took the knife and walked towards Knows-a-
lot with it.

"If you ever do that again, Knows-a-lot, you will be dead. And don't think I'm
kidding either," she said as she placed the knife across his neck, "What I do in
private is none of your business and I want to keep it that way."

"What happened to you Katie? I thought I knew you," he replied.

"We all grow up Knows-a-lot, some quicker than others. So if you don't mind, I
have some unfinished business to take care off."

Katie turned around and walked towards the bed, but Knows-a-lot grabbed her
wrist.

"Let go Knows-a-lot if you know what's good for you," she said not turning
around.

"No Katie. I won't. I'm not one of your playthings," he responded.

"You all are my toys, so let go."

"No."

"Don't say I didn't warn you."

Katie took her free hand and raised it to the opposite shoulder facing Knows-a-
lot. Then with her power she blew him away out of the door and shut them.

"So where were we?" she said as she got back into her bed.

"Are you sure we're going the right way?" said Allie. They had been walking in
the valleys of the dwarf country for a month now and this question came up
everyday.

"Yes, we are. I might be pregnant, but my sense of direction is still intact,"
Ruby replied.

"Then why haven't we found a holder yet?"

"They probably deep into Dwarf Country."

"I can't wait until this is over," said Diana.

"Why?" asked Kismet.

"When it's over, I can sleep in until ten and be careless again."

"I wouldn't think that if I were you," said Stry.

"Why?"

"Because after this is done, you're becoming a queen."

"But we are going to bring back King Daven, he can take over his kingdom."

"I doubt that. His time has pass."

"Then Ruby can do it. I remember Queen Sara saying she is the ancestor of King
Daven's son. Besides I have my father kingdom to take over that would be a
hassle by itself. Please don't make me take up anyone."

"Ruby would make a great queen, but it's not her destiny to do so, it's your."

"Then I'm getting married. My husband would be stuck with all the problems
then."

"It doesn't work that way. You're the one with the royal blood, so you still
would have to rule."

"Apollo was right. The world is out to make me miserable."

"Diana, stop pitting yourself," said Allie, "You have a life that most girls
dream of."

"But..." Diana started to say but the ground started shaking.

"What is that?" said Kismet.

"An earthquake," said Snott.

Then suddenly this big giant came towards them.

"What are you doing here?" he said in a deep voice, "Nobody is allow here. All
trespassers must die."

"I didn't know giants live here," Cleini said.

"They don't," said Diana, "Arrow of Wind."

The arrow blew back the head of the giant causing the little guy inside to fall
down taking the big coat with him. Then stood up top of each other five some
men.

"Are they dwarves?" said Ruby.

"No, dwarves have long beards," said Allie.

"Then what are they?"

"Dead-meat in a second," said Diana.

Hearing that, they all jumped down and ran, but Diana using her magic brought
one back.

"How the hell did I get here?" he said.

"First answered me this, who and what are you?" said Diana.

"I'm Danny Boy Smith the Third and I'm a hobbit."

"A what?" said Allie.

"A hobbit."

"Are you some kind of a dwarf?" asked Kismet.

"No. A hobbit is nothing like a dwarf."

"Then why are doing here in dwarf country?" asked Wanderer.

"The is the only place we can find that would take us in."

"So there's a town near by," said Diana.

"Yes. Hobbit Barrows is just pass those trees."

"Can you take us there?"

"Maybe. What would you give me?"

"10 pieces of gold."

"Make it 20 and it's a deal."

"Ten now and ten when we get there."

"Deal."

Diana counted out ten gold pieces and handed it to Danny. Danny led them to this
small town with four small buildings, but on the mountainside were tons of
houses in the mountain.

"This is my lovely town and if you don't mind paying me the rest of my money,
I'll be on my way," Danny said.

Diana handed him the last ten pieces of gold and he ran off. They decided to
look for a place to stay for the night, but as they walked, every hobbit stared
at them. It was rare for a tall person, as they called humans and anyone that of
the size of a human and now there are eight of them walking around their town.

"Excuse me, but can you tell us where a hotel is?" said Ruby to a female hobbit
walking pass them.

"We have nothing of the sort because we don't need one," she replied.

"I guess is back sleeping on the ground tonight," said Diana.

"Come, you can sleep at my house for the night. I have plenty of room."

"Why?" said Kismet.

"It seems it was my son who led you here, so it guess its fall on me to take you
in."

"Thanks," said Ruby.

"Nothing to it. I hate if there's a rumor around you tall people that we hobbits
are rude and inhospitable."

When the woman hobbit said she had plenty of rooms, she meant it. They were
often rooms for each have there own one, but Snott and Cleini you can't
separate, shared one room and so did Stry and Ruby. But Allie, Diana, Wanderer,
and Kismet took up on the offer.

During dinner, they found out that the lady name was Bluebell and that her
husband, Danny Boy Smith the Second, died years ago leaving all his belongs to
her which was a lot because they are one of the riches family in this town. And
that the hobbit that led them to the town, Danny, was always getting into
trouble. There also learned a lot about the hobbits and their way of life.

After a long night of talking and singing which hobbits loved to do especially
Bluebell who had a great voice, but her son needs some more practice, they all
went to there rooms to get some sleep except for Diana who needed to talk to
Kismet.

"Can I talk to you, Kismet?" she asked as she entered his room.

"About what?" he replied.

"We haven spoken to each other that much since the City of Cards."

"I know."

"Why? You were always with Apollo and always talking to him."

"You're not Apollo. You're Diana. You two are totally different people."

"How are we so different? He was just me but as a guy."

"It is different. I can't tell you how, but it is."

"It's because I'm a girl. Wait it is that I'm a girl. You like me don't you?"

"Yeah, like a friend."

"No, no, no. You like me more than a friend, like a girlfriend."

"No I don't."

"Okay let me give you a test."

Diana wrapped her arms around his neck and then kissed him passionately. After
the kiss, Kismet was red as a tomato.

"You do like me," she said, "I guess it's equal feeling. Goodnight Kismet."

"Wait Diana," he said but it was too late, she was already out of the door.

"What did you do?" said Katie angrily to herself.

"Nothing"

"You made the only true friend I have hate me."

"You mean Knows-a-lot, he was bound to find out sooner or later."

"You shouldn't done what you did period! You're making me a whore."

"I needed the power. You aren't giving any to me, so I have to find other
sources."

"You are not making me a demon while I'm still here."

"Too late. It has already begun. My fangs grew overnight."

"What are you?"

"The demon of the dark crystal what else."

"One of this days you would find yourself dead."

"How? After this is complete, I'll be immortal again and you would be no more."

"Mother please come fast."

"Thanks you for your hospitably," said Ruby as the group left Hobbit Barrows.

"You're welcome to come back anytime," Bluebell replied.

"We will," said Diana.

"Where're we heading from here?" Kismet asked.

"Let me see," responded Ruby, "Crystal diamond show me where I can find an owner
of a weapon."

The light shown to the north and everybody started walking in that direction.
After walking for awhile, Allie started to hear noises. Wanderer sent her to
investigate, so she sneaked to where she heard the noises and found Danny
following them.

"Look what I found a small hobbit spying on us," she said.

"I wasn't spying. I wanted to come with you," he replied.

"Why?"

"Because I always wanted to go on adventure and it seems this is the only way to
have one."

Allie grabbed Danny's hand and dragged him to the rest of the group.

"Did you found anything?" asked Wanderer.

"Yes, a hobbit," she said as she pushed Danny in front of her.

"What are you doing following us?" said Stry.

"I wanted to go on your adventure. I can be a use to you," he said. Then he
pulled at a mace from his backpack, "See I found this awhile back, so I can
protect myself. I can make earthquakes with it."

"Is the a mace one of the king's weapon, Ruby?" Wanderer asked.

"Yes. The Mace of Strength," said Ruby.

"Great now we have to watch him from getting into trouble."

"You mean I can come along with you," Danny said.

"Yes," said Diana, "You have the Mace of Strength, so come on or we'll leave you
behind."

"Great! You won't be sorry."

"I feeling that I already am," said Wanderer.

"So if we already found other holder, do you have to find other one, Ruby?"
asked Kismet.

"No need to. I know where the Staff of the Kings is," said Diana.

"Where?" asked Ruby.

"In my castle. It's a heirloom of my family."

"You have a castle?" said Danny.

"I'm the daughter of King Robert and heir to the throne of Fuxec."

"Whoa. I never knew royalty before."

"Anyway, it's in my grandparents' room."

"So we're going to the City of White?" asked Allie.

"I think we have a problem," said Stry.

"What?" replied Kismet.

"You're a fairy."

"That's a problem," said Diana, "Fairies are not allow in my father's kingdom."

"So how are we going to get the Staff of the Kings then?" asked Kismet.

"Ruby do you know disgust spell?" Diana asked.

"Yeah, but I don't have often power to do it," she replied.

"What if I helped you?"

"I don't know."

"And I can help too," said Cleini.

"Okay, it might work."

The three girls circled around Kismet holding hands.

"Repeat after me," said Ruby, "Sun up above."

"Sun up above," Diana and Cleini repeated.

"Give me the power."

"Give me the power."

"To fool the eyes."

"To fool the eyes."

"Of mortal people."

"Of mortal people."

"And of the blessed immortals."

"And of the blessed immortals."

"Sun up above," all three girls said together, "Give me the power to fool the
eyes of mortal people and of the blessed immortals. Sun up above, give me the
power to fool the eyes of mortal people and of blessed immortals."

Then suddenly a flash of light blinded them and when they opened they're eyes,
they stood a black hair, no wings, and no pointed ears, Kismet.

"So did it work?" he asked.

"Look for yourself," said Cleini as she pulled out a mirror.

Kismet took the mirror and examined his-self with it. He was very surprised what
he looked like.

"It's not too bad. Don't you agree Diana," said Ruby.

"Not bad, not bad at all," said Diana.

"That was so cool," said Danny.

"Come on, lets' go to City of White," said Wanderer.
