I made this story with my friend Sho. Most of the story is mine, all the characters and everything. The only thing that isn't mine is the character Sho and what Sho does belongs to my friend Sho…yes that came out sounding really weird. Anyways, I hope you guys enjoy reading this as much as I did writing it. Please please please, don't steal my work. I know I have a lot of friends here who have a problem with that. If you see someone that has my work, please report it to me. I'll forever be thankful.

Some quick things to clear up. Some information that you'll find important about the characters.

Name: Madeira Matsuomi

Age: 16

Gender: Female

Sexuality: Straight

Personality: She sometimes can be quiet and distant. Most of the time she's nice and a caring person. She gets depressed a lot, but tries to have an optimistic view on life for the sake of her friends, her brother and her own sanity.

Status: Somewhat of an outcast at school. But some people respect her others don't.

Bio: Her parents both being in poverty and in the drug dealing business, never had time for Madeira. So she learned how to live street wise. She has a great passion for writing, but never pursued her dream because she was in a deep depression. Her parents were caught up in a gang war. Both died and she had to take care of her two little brothers. When she went home one day she found one of them had been hanged. The other was hiding in the closet safe though. She works a part-time job as a waitress in a rundown restaurant. Her little brother is now living with an old aunt. While in depression, she began to get into a bad habit of letting alcohol be the one to comfort her.

Dorm: 5 ((Her school has the kids living there in dorm rooms. She doesn't have any roommates))

Name: Sho

Age: 17

Gender: Male

Sexuality: Straight

Personality: He's proud, driven, and he'll fix on any objective and stick to it. Some people may see him as cold or even cruel, but they just can't see past his rough surface. At heart, he cares about his companions and may be a little more sensitive than he'd like to admit. He also tends to pick fights if he knows it's worth his time.

Status: Outcast in school.

Bio: Doesn't really have one... Except that he tends to be in the hospital or a closely watched jail cell for about 2-3 days.

Here's a quick reader's understanding key for you to read, so you know what I'm doing.

When something is in italics, it is generally Madeira's thoughts.

When there is something in bold, it's either Madeira's cat speaking to her or something like a school bell.

When something is underlined, generally it's just a flashback, or a grocery list or something like that.

“When it's quotation marks, obviously, it's the person speaking. This may get confusing of who is speaking because of the way I wrote it, but hopefully you'll catch on to who is talking and stuff. Sorry if it gets confusing. -Sweat drops-”

The way I wrote it is semi-literate. Not completely like a book but you'll get used to it…err I think. I decided to put this up here, for the fun of it. Plus my friends really liked it and have been encouraging me to do something with it…Meh. I think that's all.
