Warning: All right, Kaede claims there is implied Kaga/Michiba. Houou claims there is not. You judge.
If anyone came in and saw Kaga Takeshi smush a tomato in his hand, they'd call him weird. Well, usually. They know not to provoke him when he's brooding.
It was not a good time to be in the Gourmet Academy, especially to be an Iron Chef. For the first time, they have suffered consecutive losses, and Kaga was not taking it well. It was unheard of! Back-to-back losses!
Of course, if Kaga wasn't liking this, he could only imagine how Sakai and Michiba felt; they suffered the losses. It was worse for Michiba; he wasn't used to losing.
Oblivious to the tomato now on his cheek, Kaga propped his head on his hands. His intuition was telling him that the sorrow was not over yet. Something was coming, more devastating than a loss in Kitchen Stadium.
And then there was Michiba. After losing to the Chinese chef, Michiba looked like something was troubling him from the inside. Kaga's intuition also told him that what would happen would affect the eldest tetsujin. Kaga's heart already hurt for him and the chairman silently hoped that whatever came would go to him and not any of his tetsujin.
A rattling at the door broke Kaga from his brooding. He barely had time to wipe off the tomato before the door opened and Chen Kenichi fell to the ground.
He always did have trouble opening the door.
"Kaga-san? It's Roku-san. He's in the hospital."
As Kaga followed Chen out to go to Michiba, he remembered the old saying.
Trouble comes in…
Ones.
Twos.
Threes.
