Ok this is just a teaser. I’m debating if I should post this story or not. It’s an original story; I work on when inspiration strikes me. I’m post this teaser only because I’m in a good mood (I’m leaving to go on vacation tomorrow) and what to get some reactions on it. So please tell me what you think. Please read and review!

Also I’m still looking for a beta so if any one wants to help me out email me.

It was a dark night; the moon had left the sky so that even its light couldn’t guild the poor soul who was running for her life and that of her child. To make matter worst a fog as thick as soup had rolled in to cover the ground, making every root and branch and life threatening danger. Because, if this poor soul fell, if she hurt herself, it would be the end for both their lives, for her pursuer wanted nothing more then to rip off her head and her son, she shuddered to think what they would do to him.

How things had gotten this far, she could only guess at now, her life had been prefect at one point, she had been born into a wealthy and powerful family and had been married to a powerful lord. Everyone had called him a king, and he had seemed content with her, there had been no love, not that she had ever hoped for such a foolish thing. She was no foul it had been a political marriage plain and simple. Such things were common in positions such as theirs, she had kept her part of the deal, she had given him a son, and heir to his title and crown. Yet still here, she was running for her life with her son, her husband nowhere to be found.

However, that was not true, even now in her darkest hour, she was lieing to herself; she knew where he was. She had known it from the first time he had gone, she had know he had another. Recently she had heard that this other was expecting a child. She could have lived with these things, things like these were not uncommon. But she could not live with the fact, that now when she needs him he was gone, she was his wife and she had given him an heir, that was supposed to mean something. He was supposed to protect her and his son and not let common scum even breath in her vicinity. So why now was she being chased by them, those who would have his title, his power.

Looking down to the bundle in her arms, he was asleep completely unaware of the danger he was in. His one-year-old mind seemingly unable to process that others would want to hurt him and that his father wasn’t here to protect him. She was suddenly struck with the urge to drop him. Her son had almost nothing from her; he looked just like his father, the same black hair, and the same red eyes. In addition, when he was older and could change into his demon form, she was almost sure he was going to have his father’s bat wing and whip like tale. Then it hit her like a lighting bolt, she had an idea, a wonderfully nasty, terribly perfect idea, to get back at her husband.

Now she ran with purpose and a plan. She went up to a human house, one of the more wealthy ones in this town and set her son down on their doorstep. Just as a precaution, she placed a seal on his power and demon form. Only she or another powerful demon could take it off. Her son would look human and until her husband apologized to her, he would stay here among the humans. Let the son of the great and fear demon king be raised by lowly humans, let him be some stupid human’s heir.

Without even one look back at her son, she walked away. Little did this uncaring mother know the events of this night would forever change the course of so many lives, maybe none more then that of her own son.

As the now childless demoness walked along a path, now almost two miles away from her son and the human town, she heard a rustling in the brush, the fog still thick she began to run not wanting to take the chance of it being her pursuers. Her run was short live, however when she crashed right into the chest of a dirty low-class demon. Looking around she found herself surrounded. She took a step back away from the demon she had run into, straightened her back and held her head high and proud. She spoke with all the dignity and bravo she had left, she be damned if even now in her darkest hour she lost the aura of royalty. “Oh what good luck. I’m a bit lost, you all shall help me. My husband will surly reward you all if you do.”

Cold blooded laughter was her only answer, and the demons began to close in. Across the fog covered land, screams of pain and terror echoed out for miles and up into the moonless and abysmal sky.
