"Kevin your friends here," his mother called.

"Send him up! We'll be down later," Kevin answered.

Soon he heard an almost soundless knock on his door. As soon as he opened his door, he was bombarded by a blur of black, and blue. He stumbled but managed to shut his door while holding his friend.

"Azrael, what's wrong?" He asked in a soothing voice.

"N…No…Nothing!" His just named friend stuttered.

"If it's nothing you wouldn't be crying," Kevin snapped upset his friend and comrade lied to him, "Who hurt you?"

"Zayn and his gang got me, when I was going through the park," He said then begged, "By the Goddess! Don't do anything stupid… please?"

"Don't worry I wont but the others can and will!"

"What you can't mean that!"

"Yes I do mean that Zayn used to be one of us… along with his younger brother. But when we had a disagreement, he left and formed a gang, to prevent us from doing our duty. Also, everyone else has decided that if he attacks one of us again, he will pay and dearly. And as he obviously attacked you, it is within their rights." After his little speech, he was out of breath, but he needn't have worried about getting everything out before Azrael could interrupt. Azrael was so shocked it was all he could do to remember where Kevin's bed was, and sit down. And boy did he sit down hard!

When he had recovered a bit from the shock, just enough to think and ask a question, he asked, " Who's his brother?"

"Rylan…."

"What!? Sweet and gentle Rylan is that bastard's brother? You can't mean that! It can't be true… it just CANT!"

Kevin just sighed and said, "Yes they are. They used to be so close! Then we split up, and it was over something so petty! By the Gods I wish it had been different."

"Do you mind if I ask a question?" Azrael questioned hesitantly.

"Go ahead it's about time you learned at least a piece of our long history."

"What happened to cause the split? You've mentioned it, but not why…"

"It was a lovers quarrel. Sad isn't it? We were fighting over how we were going to tell our families. Our friends already knew… The only reason they knew was because we all shared the same destiny. The destiny you are now a part of," After that he, stopped took a deep breath and said, "I cant talk about it anymore right now." Unexpectedly, he felt a pair of arms around his waist, and then he was suddenly being kissed. It took him a few minutes to respond, and then hands were roaming and exploring.

Soon they started to tear at one another's clothes, and soon they reached a fever pitch to have skin to skin contact. Then the phone rang downstairs, and Kevin's mom answered, they heard a few quiet murmurs, then Kevin's mom knocked on the door and said, "Kevin, James would like you and Azrael to meet him at the "Crossroads" at 5:30 which is in an hour!"

"Thanks, Mom I owe you one," Kevin called through the door when he heard his mom star walking away.

"You always do!" His mom called back.
