The morning was cold, and gray. Usual. All was quiet. The sun was barely beginning to rise, and already she could feel the midsummer heat. Ayita pulled her down and out of the braid she had it in. It cascaded down to her middle back, black-blue with slight waves.

She walked around the forest, this area she knew well. The soft grassy was wet with morning dew. Ayita walked down to the river, the water would be cold, but morning was always the best time to bathe. Carefully, she removed her dress and slipped into the water. It was cold, but felt good.

“Ayita, are you …..decent?” Atohi's voice seemed to have come from nowhere. Why did he always sound so…nervous?

“Well, if I'm at the river, do you really think I'd be decent?” Ayita smiled with closed eyes. This was fun, being mean to him.

“Right. Just next time you leave, tell me first.” Atohi said angrily. He was always so upset if she left without telling him. The sounds of Atohi walking away left Ayita in a sad mood.

Why does he do that? How does he that? Just by being himself, being protective, it makes me feel bad. I don't even do anything half of the time. Ayita sighed, taking a deep breath in, and then diving down into the water. It made her shiver, a feeling she liked. She came back to surface, stepped out and got dressed. If she didn't leave now, Atohi wouldn't talk to her when she got back. Her hair, was dripping, sending shivers down her back as the water rolled down. Ayita walked away from her clearing, in search of Atohi, what she found, was not what she wanted.

He was surrounded, sword out, and a look on his face that could kill.

“Why are you here? We haven't done anything, and we're miles from your realm.” Atohi said. His long brown-black hair was flowing in the distance.

“The council has come to our people, and demanded that we find you. The say that we are to escort you back, no questions asked. Otherwise, she shall never be allowed to see them.” The voice came from one of demons, but Ayita couldn't tell which one.
“Fine, but I'll need five minuets so I can find her.” Atohi retorted.

“I'm already here,” Ayita said quietly. She stepped into the camp, walking in through the spaces of the demons. “Atohi, what's going on? We weren't even suppose to see the council for another month.” Ayita asked quietly.

“The council seems to think that you are ready now,” One of the demons said. “Forgive us for the intrusion,” all the demons bowed, “but we have been sent…..”

“By the council, so as to fetch us, and bring us back to them. I heard, but I want to know why now.” Ayita spoke calmly to demon. She never held a sound of anger or hate in her voice, even when she was mad. “what's your name, sir,?”

The demon looked up at Ayita, her aura glowed. He had never been talked to with such respect, especially by someone of her statue. “Captain Sha-ite, of the third regime, at your service.”

“Well then captain, gives us five minuets, and we'll be ready to go.”
