he lye on his bed in the dark like every sleeping creature, his black hair hung softly over his face, covering completly the eye that wasn't their. shivering and cold memories disguised as nightmares came back to him.

(dream)

*** Men in black walked out of the house carrying a black coffin, slick and shiny with a white sheet over the top falling horizontally over the sides, neighbors and friends stood at their porches as they watched it go by.

it was carried to a rather nicely put to gether car. spacious, vast. Kaske watched in horror with his parents as he fell to his knees, a part of him had been ripped apart and he covered his face with his hands and sobbed at the reality; that he never wanted.

His mother knelt down beside him and huged him in comfort. But it didnt seem to do anything, once a half of you is gone, one half that meant the world to you. You will never be the same again, as the car drove off people went into their houses, and some went to speak comfort to the family, Kase. Felt none.

He stood with one hand pushing him up off the ground, the gravity the bound him to the earth seemed to be lifted, he seemed to himself so much lighter. vivide as the street was to him in his sleep, towns people and visitors looked pale and sad as the overly bright red roses on the house across the street beemed at him. He slowly walked off the lawn and nobody seemed to notice.

Until he got half way down the street and his parents called after him, he ignored them like he was drowning in his own thoughts, def to the world around him. and for the time being, he was.

he came upon a church with the design of the saint or god like figure sitting in a throne with the children angels floating around them with satin sheets wrapping all around everywhere.

it was the same design on all of the churches. kaske thought to himself, // I don't want to end up dead, // he thought, // I dont want to go to dinner with my family and be dead before I even get their for my birthday.//

he stood at the foot of the church, as if he wanted to go in. there was a service going on inside. It was wedsnday,

"I can change it all." a voice whispered cooly into his ear, he spun around and the wind whiped threw his hair. nobody.

he moved back a couple of feet, and he came to the steps of the church. Then he stopped, he shrugged it on and went back to thinking, // I wonder. // he thought, like a mencing itch the voice came back, "I can give you a life you would never imagine." Kaske turned around and their, stood a man decked out in black, his eyes were red.

the redest eyes kaske or anyone on the face of the planet had ever seen, they had a strange glow to them. Reder than any of the contact lenses. "Who are you?" Kaske asked full of fake confidence. The man smiled a pleasent smile with fangs such as he'd never seen or wanted to see again. A slight red tint showed he had killed that night. "The devil?" Kaske teased.

Now feeling a bit more confident as he new he was among the immortal, which is why he got no emotion from him, the dead had none. his theory was as simple as that. Those who had no emotion, were dead and he could tell the supernatural from the mortal ever so quickly. "Some call me that." Lucifer answered him quietly, honestly.

"The vampire of all vampires." Kaske teased him some more. "I read it in a good book once." he tilted his head to the side as to stretch it and then it went back into place. Lucifer smiled, "I feel you soul." he said and walked up to him, a cape came out behind him and followed him around as he walked around kaske in circles, like a dog chasing its tale.

Kaske said nothing as he felt the dead cirlce him. "It's crying." kaske's straight face only told that he was scared. "It's always crying." he responded with a soft voice, the devil didnt feel sorry for him, nobody did. " I can stop it." he could hear the people in the church singing the hymns to their God, and how funny this was that he was talking to the devil out side of the church.

He did eventually agree to the devil, his cold hand was placed on kaske's left eye. Ever sense then he simply didnt have one. There had been just skin coming down from the forhead as it did on every human being, the hair grew out over the left side, and nobody ever really noticed.

That and he wore sunglasses most of the time.

(end dream)

He sat up in the dark as he heard the devil laugh at him. realizing that he was in his school dorm. There was a knock on the door, of course, it was far past hours to be out and about. He got up

his pajama's were cold, the pair of boxers he wore didnt keep him warm so he grabbed a shirt, the pounding on his door continued.

"Im coming." he said slightly annoyed wondering who it could be at this hour. he opened it and Omni stood their. Terrified, "Omni?" he whispered with question. Omni ran in and clung to him.

and the door shut with a dark force. "What's the matter?" kaske huged him to calm him down. "Something tried to kill me in my dorm."

"It's ok.... I'm sure your missunderstood." Omni shook his head, "No." he said quietly, it's a good thing that Kaske's room mate was out for the night. "It chased me all of the way here."

kaske looked at the door as the door knob began to turn. A laugh that was quiet and the epitome of evil was heard just barely in their ears.

Hair curled around sparkling silver to the mans knees, that stood in the door way, black hood, black cloak. Like something out of a trilogy of angels, or demons. It's red lips smiled and persed together. the rest of the face was dark, "Ive come to collect your soul." he murmmured clearly enough to be understood.

"You aren't welcome here." Kaske growled.

"You, you belong to lucifer as do I, and so will he."
