You Smiled

The first time I saw you,
You smiled at me.
And I smiled back.
 
I thought that I liked you,
But I soon found out,
You weren't smiling at me.
 
Now when you're near,
I don't smile,
Because I'm scared.
 
When you're near,
I don't talk, I don't laugh
I can hardly breathe.
 
When you're near,
I turn invisible
And if you can't see me,
You'll never be smiling at me.
And that's the way I like it.
