"He acts like one giant cat."

Yang gave no vocal response to that comment, only a faint smile.

"What? What is it?"

"Nothing…" he said, after a pause. "It's just… You would've never talked about him this way."

Yun's smile faded. He sat there, turning his head to the side and stared off into space.

"I didn't mean to offend you, man," Yang quickly added. "It's great that it's finally working out…"

"But?"

"But nothing..!"

The two brothers sat there in silence for quite a while, neither of them knowing what to say or how to continue the conversation. The waitress came by with two more bowls of soup for both the boys, walked away, and came back again after five minutes or so and refilled their drinks. A party in the booth behind Yun and Yang were getting ready to leave, all of them throwing on their jackets and strutting past the twins' table.

"So…" Yang finally broke the silence, for fear they might just sit there all night and eventually fall asleep. "When's the next time you're coming home?"

"…I don't know."

"Oh… I see."

There came another long pause of silence, but not quite as long as the previous.

"Look -" both of them cut in.

"Go ahead."

"I'm sorry. I know it probably still isn't the best thing to have happened in the world… And I shouldn't say this, but I know how it must've really sucked at first…"

Yun laughed at the statement, "I'd drink to that."

Yang chuckled a bit as well, "But seeing that it's working out… maybe it wasn't so bad…"

"Yeah… Maybe it wasn't so bad."

The truth was: it was as bad as it could've gotten.

`Yeah. But Yang never found out… did he?' Yun thought, sipping at his drink.

`God, I feel like such an ass! I shouldn't have even mentioned anything! "It must've sucked"? How stupid did THAT sound?? I probably pissed him off… He's probably mad at me now. I only haven't seen him in TWO MONTHS! Why couldn't I have talked about something like skating or something?? Or Hoi-Mei! -actually that would've been even more idiotic… -AHHH!! Now I went and blew it! -me and my big mouth. Stupid… Stupid, stupid,' "Stupid!" Yang yelled, slamming a fist on the table.

The restaurant went silent as people turned and stared at Yang. Yun dropped his head on the table with a `thud' and kept it there, hiding his face from public as Yang frantically bowed and muttered apologies to the people in the tables surrounding them.

When people returned their attention to their own tables and the low chattering sounds picked up again, Yun lifted his head, "What the hell were you thinking??" he hissed.

"Sorry…" Yang muttered, rubbing the back of his neck.
