Chapter 4: The Test

Disclaimer: I don't own either the anime, or the game, well I don't own the characters in the game.

Trunks and Gohan went throught there first day with much problems. The two demi-saiyans walk into ther first class, which was a magic training class. Curious, many girls walk up to them and stood there blushing as they tried to talk to them. The two tried to answer many of the questions, but found themselves overwhelmed by the number of questions they had to ward off.

A young man, however, was not too fond of the two young men, you could say that he was jealous of the attention the two new recruits were getting. He had short, blond hair, that was combed towards the back of his head, a gray jacket with a red cross on both sleaves, a blue shirt with a zipper on the front, and a black pair of jeans on. The young man walked up to the two Saiyan's, his hand on his black gunblade Hyperion, and thoughts of his envy going through his mind.

"Alright girls, get away from the two freaks," he commanded cooly as he gently nudge them out of the way. The two Saiyans watch the man, and saw his face. It was a face of discontent to say the least. The man walked to Gohan and bascially had no respect for personal space as he went really close to his face.

"Hello, I'm Son Gohan," he said trying to break the ice between the two, but the young man didn't seem to want to socialize with him.

"I'm Seifer Almasy." he arrogantly said it was clear that this guy wasn't here to be friends with the two demi-saiyans, "and you two punks are on my list."

Gohan and Trunks looked at him funny. What was this list he was talking about, was he some gang member, or was he just the school bully. The young man silently walked away after telling them his message. The two demi-saiyans sat down in there seats and watched the door for the teacher.

"Hey Trunks, what's that guy's deal," he whispered to him.

"I really don't know Gohan, I think he's naturally a jackass from what I see," he replied.

A young girl tapped both of them on the shoulder, The girl was the very giddy young woman they met at the entrance.

"That's just Seifer Almasy, he's pretty much a jerk so ignore him," she sneered as she glared at the blond headed soldier. The two demi-saiyans just shrugged there shoulders and took there seats as the teacher entered the room.

"Good morning class," greeted the teacher. Trunks and Gohan were surprised to see that the teacher was the same blond headed girl that they met after Instructor Aki encountered them. She sat down and the lesson began.

"Now today we will learn about elemental and status magic," said Quistis as she stood up pointed to the board. She reached up and pulled the screen down.

"Put this in your notes, the flame obviously is the symbol of fire, the crystal below it is the symbol of ice, the lightning bolt is the symbol of thunder, the rock is the symbol of earth, the little tornado is the symbol of wind, the water drop is the symbol of water, the little puff of smoke is poison, and the last..the sun is the power of Holy," she listed as the students wrote them down in there notes.

"Now we need the thirteen status changes," she added, "the mummy is death, the little bubble with nothing said is silence, the fast runner is Haste, the blue clock is Slow, the black clock is stop, the shield is reflect, the pink barrier is Protect, the red barrier is Shell, the two swirling stars is Confuse, the irregular polygon is Drain, the rock is Petrify the skull is Zombie and the same symbol for status poison is elemental poison, along with the Red Star is Curse."

The students put that in there notes.

"Now it's time to train in the art of para-magic," she said. The two souls walk out into the field and do there hands on training. Meanwhile. Seifer had a vicious idea going through his head. He wanted to show those two up. Every fiber of the soldiers being wanted to humiliate them into submission.

So he developed a blast onto his hand. The beam flashed orange as he charged it up. The light flickered as the fireball appeared to form in his hand. Then...

"Fire Cross!!!," he screams out as he fired the blast out of its hand. The ball of ki went toward Gohan at a really fast speed, roaring as it approached him. As it approached him Seifer smiled at the damage it could do to the new recruit, but....

Gohan effortlessly deflected the blast and disappeared.

"What the...where is he!!!," he screamed as he scrambled around looking for him. He ran over to a rock and lifted it up to see if he was there, and he wasn't. Then he sprinted around looking every nook and cranny for the half saiyan fighter. Gohan, all of the sudden, appeared in front of him.

"Hello Seifer," he smiled as he gave his pleasant face to him. Seifer lifted his sword and thrusted toward Gohan. He effortlessly blocked the sword between his fingers.

"What!!!," he screamed as Gohan moved his "attacker" back and forth with his fingers. Then he put a hand on his chest and screamed out. The force he came with sent the man flying toward the ocean.

Seifer went to the ocean and made a big splash. The class rolled on the grass laughing as Seifer popped up out of the water. He looked at the class laughing and his face turned red as he ran out of the water toward Gohan with the huge anger.

"Damn you Son!!!!," he screamed out as he pointed a finger at his face trying to find what to say. He couldn't find it and walked off away from him while the class laughed it up.

"You are all on my list!!!," he screamed as he stormed away.

The cadets continued there training until there class was over.

Rinoa was in the Sorceress Room receiving her special training from Edea. Her body was beyond tired but she continued on as she practiced her magic.

"Rinoa, you are doing great keep it up," she said as Rinoa contiued with her ice magic. The room was frozen many times with her Blizzaga spells.

'Gotta keep this up, gotta get stronger,' she thought as she continued her magic the revenge of beating Cell in her mind.

Meanwhile after classes were over, Gohan and Trunks went behind the garden and found a huge open field. A fresh smell approached there noses as they walked into the field. But what was waiting there wasn't as pleasant as that smell.

"So you two boys are supposed to take this challenge, well I don't think you two can survive," smirked the muscular and arrogant Instructor Aki. He cracked his knuckles as he walked a few steps.

All of the sudden, he stopped after that few steps. Then with a whistle about 20 SeeD cadets charge from both sides. The soldiers were rushing on both sides of the Saiyans there gunblades, laser staffs and other weapons drawn as they charged at them. Trunks and Gohan were ready however as the both of them extended there hands. As they watched the soldiers come toward them both yelled out. An invisible force came out of there hands and pushed the soldiers away. The instructor was amazed, but was far from finished. The three fighters walked closer to each other, but Aki stopped and signaled again. There were about 30 SeeD soldiers charging from behind. The two Saiyans disappeared leaving the larger force dombfounded.

'Hmm...where are those two bastards,' he thought to himself as he watched the soldiers search for them.

Then as soon as he walked one step forward two figures jump out from underground knocking all but a few soldiers down. That few used float spells to try to attack but one of them struck Trunks with his gunblade and was soon to discover that they were really strong as the blade broke on his chest. He only smiled as he knocked the soldier into his remaining few in the group with a minor jab.

Aki was dumbfounded but determined as he walked up a little further. Just then two people came out and walked beside Aki, two powerful creatures. One had a familiar looking cross across his chest and had a dark red fur on him. The other had spiky yellow fur on him and electricity around him.

"Trunks, those two are strong.....shall we turn SSJ yet?," asked Gohan.

"Why not," answered Mirai Trunks shrugging his shoulders.

Both looked at Aki and smirked as they powered up. There power continued to rise as they spiked higher and higher. The power went higher as there hair began to turn blond and there hair spike up. The golden aura flashed around them as they went SSJ.

Both fighters flied faster toward the two creatures and fought them. The two creatures tried to hit them but couldn't as they continued to dodge his punches. Gohan hit the creature in the gut with a punch, while Trunks kicked him in the ribs. Then both fighters were sent onto the ground making a small crater. Aki was even more dumbfounded with this development.

'Seifer....Raijin...even in there GF/Human forms they couldn't affect them,' he thought to himself as the two of them descended down into the small craters.

The two had a distant look in there eyes as they slowly changed back into human form.

Trunks looked at the two fighters with wonder as they changed. Gohan had a smile as the figures revealed themselves......the grin he inherited from his father.

"Seifer, other guy, are you two alright?" he asked genuinely.

"No...." was his weak response.

"We have to take these two to the infirmary," Trunks said as he put Raijin over his shoulder. The other Saiyan placed Seifer over his shoulder.

Aki didn't know what to think at this point as he saw the two Super Saiyans carry there opponents on there backs. He walked up to the two Saiyans. Moments passed in silence as Aki and the two warriors stared at each other.

"Challenge complete," he simply stated as he turned around and walked away. Gohan and Trunks stood in silence as they carried the two fighters to the infirmary.
