Yugi, along with his friends Joey, Tea, and Tristan, were walking on the busy sidewalk. School has just been let out for the summer and everyone was walking home happily, well, the kids were. It had been a school year like any other: teachers, books, a pile of homework that reached Heaven, the works. Although the school year was no different, Domino defiantly was. The news had reports of strange creatures walking around at night, so you rarely saw anything out then. There have also been sightings of these `creatures' near the countryside. Cows, chickens, horses, and anything else that could have been seen `moving' around at night, were reported dead. No one knows the causes of these sightings or murders, just that the same thing happened about 300 years ago.
Anyway, the gang was just minding their own business when the crowd started running around and screaming like they saw a giant, white, man-eating bat. Well, maybe cause they did see a giant, white, man-eating bat hovering 5 feet above their heads! "Dude! What's that thing!" Joey pointed to the creature, just as it noticed the attention it was receiving from him. "It must be one of those creatures that have been killing the farm animals!" Tea screamed. "It's headed for us! Run!" They did as Yugi said, and they each ran in a different direction, confusing the beast. "Hey Yuge!" Yugi turned towards Joey. "That thing don't got much of a brain!" He skidded to a stop and turned around. Joey was right! The creature was franticly looking around to where its victims could have gone. Yugi just stood there, laughing slightly at the demons stupid act. Unfortunately, the bat heard Yugi, it swiftly turned around and since Joey didn't stay for long, no one was there besides Yugi so it began chasing him. "AH!!" He quickly turned around and ran down an alley.
Fortunately the alley was dark. Yugi fell to his hands and knees trying to catch his breath. After a little while, he heard hissing behind him. Without turning around, Yugi knew it was the bat and just took off down the alley. He turned the corner and looked around. There were a few dumpsters around, a door into the back of a large glass building, and a fence. Well let's see, he could hop the fence but not knowing what may be on the other side stopped him. He could hide in the dumpster, but the thought of that idea made him sick, so he tried the door. Great! It was unlocked! By the looks of it the building was empty of its employees, what a perfect time for a day off! Just as Yugi was about to enter, the bat found him and hissed. "Man, and I thought this would be a lucky, peaceful, day!" Yugi bolted through the door and up the stairs as fast as he could, skipping a few stairs along the way. The bat seemed to be curious at what stairs are, so as it looked on, Yugi ran.
The sound of him bursting through the double doors got the bat's attention. It flew up and followed him. Meanwhile, Yugi was looking at which little cubed-shaped office he could hide in. Settling for one near the elevator, he hid under the desk, smart huh? The bat looked around. Realizing it could not see him from ground level, it jumped up into the sky, well, ceiling. It sniffed the air and stopped right above the desk Yugi was in, it had heard him trying to catch his breath. Hearing the bat's wings flap was above him, Yugi held his breath and prayed that it thought it was just hearing things.
After a while, when everything was quiet, Yugi figured that the bat gave up and went back home. So he crawled out and looked around. He decided that Solomon was getting worried, so he exited the small office, was he ever wrong about the bat thing. When he looked down the aisle toward the elevator, he noticed that it was open. `Strange, why would the elevator be open at five in the afternoon?' He brushed away the thought and looked the opposite way and froze. There, about 2 feet from him, was the bat, and boy was it mad! He was then glad for the elevator being open as he sprinted toward it, the bat didn't move. He went inside and pressed a random button: the 9th floor button. The bat figured out what he was doing and flew into the elevator just as it closed….

Joey bolted through the door of the game store. "Hello? Anyone here? Yuge!?" Solomon walked out from behind the counter. "Joey? What is it? And where are the others?" Tea walked in along with Tristan. "Joey! There you are! Where's Yugi?" Joey faced his friends. "That's what I'm trying to figure out!" Solomon gasped. "You mean Yugi isn't with any of you?" Joey shook his head and told him the entire story, not leaving out anything, especially not the part where he stopped to look at `da dumb bat' as Joey called it. "So, that's what happened. I thought those creatures only came out at night?" Tea shook her head. "No! This one was much bigger!" Tristan interrupted her. "And white too! A huge, white, man-eating bat thing!" Solomon flipped the `open' sign to `close'. "I guess we should find him, and fast!"
|*|----------On The Elevator With Yugi----------|*|
Yugi was shaking his head and running around in circles inside the elevator, trying to avoid the bat. He knew he couldn't because of the small amount of space. He covered his head with his hands and began to wish he hoped the fence, or at least continued running with Joey. Tears were running freely down his face as the doors slid open, allowing Yugi to escape. Fortunately, the bat got dizzy from flying around in circles, so it would be down for a while. Yugi thought about killing the beast, but then he realized he had nothing to kill it with. Wiping away his tears from shock, he ran down the large room. The area was much bigger and the desks were off to the side, making it easer to run around. The bat shook its head a turned toward Yugi, its dizziness gone. It flew after him fast, I mean fast, like 100 mph or something! Just as Yugi was about to turn the corner, the bat grabbed him. The speed that the bat was going at was so fast that the both of them went through the glass window, falling about 10 stories high. The bat let out an ear splitting screech, not a scream; that was Yugi, a sound like nails against a chalkboard. Being next to the bat, Yugi put his hands over his ears, trying to block out the horrible screech, but not knowing what would happen next. Unfortunately, a crowd of firemen, police, many worried people, the news crew, Yugi's friends, and Solomon gathered around watching the two fall to their death, or, so they think….
