Chapter 9
Two months had passed in a blissful haze. The snow was falling in the little town of Wutai, and all of her friends had gathered to celebrate the holidays. The sky was clear and the sunlight bounced off of the white snow, making the peaceful town sparkle like a diamond. Axys looked around the square. Yuffie was throwing snowballs at her husband, Vincent merely deflecting each missile aimed directly for his face with a bored expression.
Cloud and Kadaj had become friends almost immediately, both having such a close relationship with Sephiroth.
Axys and Yazoo were closer toYuffie and Vincent. Axys like Yuffie, and Yazoo so much like Vincent that it was scary. Not to mention the fact that Axys and Vincent had been partners for about a year.
Loz was close to everyone, always wanting to learn. Barret taught him all about oil-ships. Tifa showed him all the fancy bar-tender moves-and made him swear to work for her when he mastered them all in minutes. Cid taught him how to repair his bike. Nanaki loved their conversations, and Marlene even played with him. He even taught her a few martial arts moves, much to the amusement of the others.
Everything was just so perfect. Rufus and the others had listened to her story, and accepted that half of the problem had been them. Tseng and Elena had forgiven their assult, but were still reluctant to trust the triplets. Reno and Rude had gotten their asses kicked when they tried to go against the clones, but not by the brothers. Axys had had enough of all the hatred. She wowed the group when she didn't just PUT the turks in their place, she SHOVED them there, the Jenova cells in her body giving her added strength. They had all put their heads together and finally destroyed the clone Jenova.
Axys took a deep breath, loving the cold smell of Christmas. In two seconds she was coughing and spitting out snow. She turned and glared at a hysterical Yuffie, still wiping snow from her face.
"Oh my, you didn't even duck!" Yuffie said between fits of rolling laughter.
"Aw naw! I's awn naow!!" Axys said, leaning into the snow and molding her own snowball.
Axys tackled Yuffie into the snow and the two wrestled, only stopping when they were laughing too hard to breathe.
The girls looked to their men. Vincent was smiling warmly at his wife, but Yazoo just rolled his eyes and shook his head. An idea hatched in Axys' brain. A wonderful, excellent, WICKED idea. She stood, brushed the snow from her backside, and made her way to Yazoo.
She threw her arms around his neck and kissed him completely senseless. Then brought him back to his senses by thrusting a handful of snow down the back of his vest.
He squealed like a girl. Axys laughed and pushed him backwards into the snow. She stood above him and admired her work, not even trying to hold back the laughter that bubbled musically frim her lips. The laughter stopped mid "haw" when Yazoo sat up and glared at her. The "Oh-you're-so-gonna-pay-for-that" look. She slowly backed away. Yazoo shot to his feet and Axys screamed playfully, turning and running towards the pagoda.
Yazoo dusted himself off. "I'll be right back." He said to Vincent.
"Don't be too hard on her!" Vincent called as Yazoo walked away.
Yazoo waved over his shoulder. "No promises."
At this point, Yuffie began to choke on her own laughter. "Did he just . . . crack a . . . dirty joke?!"
Vincent smiled. "I believe he did. He's got the right idea, though. Would you like to go back to the house, Your Highness?" Vincent pulled Yuffie close, nuzzling her neck.
"Mm, I command you to take me home." Yuffie purred, suddenly very playful in a VERY different way. "I have other orders awaiting you when we get there."
"Right this way, Your Highness." Vincent led Yuffie through the square, and back into their Wutaian home.
"Axys? Aaaaaxyyyysss?" Yazoo called in a sing-song voice as he stalked through the pagoda looking for his love. "Axys? Come out, Darling."
Axys stifled a giggle and peeked out from her hiding place behind the large gong. The giggle turned into a gasp when she found herself face to chest with the middle clone. She squealed and quickly scurried around until the gong was between them.
"Now, Axys, what makes you think that I'll let you get away with that?" Yazoo asked in the tone of voice he used when he was trying to scare information out of someone.
"Get away with what, Yazoo? I didn't do anything!"
"Oh-ho-ho really now. Then why do you feel it neccesary to run from me, my love?"
"Running? Who's running?"
Yazoo lunged at Axys. She barely avoided him by leaping over the gong and rolling into a perfect crouch on the ground. Yazoo looked at her like he was going to take her right there in the square. Axys smiled, devilishly.
"Catch me if you can!" she shouted, turning and running towards the path that would lead them up the statues. She ran deliberately slow, then faster when she heard Yazoo catch up to her. She glanced back at him, feeling a rush of heat flood her body at his look of animal enjoyment. The enjoyment of the chase. He lunged at her a few times, each time narrowly missing. He finally got tired of waiting and tackled her to the ground when they reached the highest point of the statues that they could get to. They rolled to a stop in the giant statue's hand.
"Mercy, Yazoo!" Axys pleaded when he shoved her into the ground. They were covered in wet snow, but neither were cold. Yazoo slipped his hand into her pants and beneath her underwear.
"You know me better than that . . ." he purred. He began stroking her gently, slipping his other hand up under her sweater to fondle a heavy breast.
"Yazoo, please!" she whimpered, bucking into his hand, trying to get more pressure.
"No no no, my love, this is your punishment."
He tormented her for a long while; bringing her to the brink or climax, and when he felt her walls begin to tighten, he would remove his fingers, suck the juices from them and begin all over again until she was sobbing his name and begging for release.
"Yazoo! Please! Please, baby! Let me come! Please!"
He gave in. He thrust three fingers inside her, hard, and his thumb resumes stroking her clit harder and faster than before. It wasn't long before she was clinging to him, squeazing his hand between her thighs as her orgasm rocked her. Yazoo groaned. He wanted those thighs around his waist, not his hand.
"Let's go back to the hotel." he said, helping her up and leading a shaky Axys down the mountain.
When Vincent's extraordinary eyesight saw Yazoo chasing Axys up the mountain, he knew exactly what was going on. A faint scream in the distance a while later confirmed his suspicion. He was happy for them. The fraud was gone, the threat to the planet over. His wife was pregnant, and his brother and the others were arriving today.
Ah, to be home for the holidays.
Axys had long known that something was different with her body. She had missed her monthly TWICE. She was ill most of the time, and even the thought of smoking nauseated her. She rose from the bed before Yazoo, for once, and made her way to the bathroom. Once there, she removed a little plastic stick from a foil baggy. She read the directions and did as they said, then sat and waited for thirty seconds. She looked at the pregnancy test.
'Two lines. OH! TWO LINES!!' Axys stood up, shaking with excitement. 'I'm pregnant. I'm pregnant!!' She flew from the bathroom to find Yazoo awake.
"How are you thismorning, Axys?" He asked, sweeping his hand down his face.
"Better than ever. Think fast!" She threw the test at him and he caught it just before it hit him in the head, without even looking up. He looked at it and blinked.
"Is this . . ."
"Yep."
"Then you're . . ."
"Yep."
Yazoo rushed to her side and only looked at her for a moment, then her threw his arms around her and hugged her so tightly that she thought he might break her in two.
"Are you happy?" she asked when he softened his grip.
"Yes." he said immediately.
"Good. Me too."
Loud applause could be heard throughout the square as the two lovers stood before their friends and announced the news.
"I had planned to do this at dinner tomorrow night, but I think now is the right time." Yazoo said. He dropped to one knee before all of the town, and pulled out a little black box. He opened it and Axys gasped. "Marry me, Axys?" Yazoo asked, tenderly. He slid a beautiful platinum diamond ring on her finger. Axys dropped to her knees and hugged him close.
"Oh you silly man! Of course I will!!"
Again, a resounding cheer echoed through the square.
From behind the crowd gathered around the two, Yuri Niwa watched the scene with honest interest. She wasn't watching Loz, or Yazoo, or even Cloud. No, the man who'd captured her attention was terrifying. His shoulder length hair swayed back and forth as he nodded his head, the soft sunlight reflecting off the silver locks. He was beautiful.
"Hey Kadaj!" someone called. The beauty turned toward the voice.
'So, Kadaj is his name.' Thought Yuri. 'I wouldn't mind letting him terrify me for the rest of my life.' She looked back to Kadaj only to find him staring right back at her. She blushed and turned to run away. In a flash he was right in front of her.
"Did you need something?" Kadaj asked, threat lingering in his smooth, yet childlike voice.
"No . . .uh . . .sorry I . . .gottagonowbye!!" She tried to run past him but he stopped her.
"What's your name?" Kadaj asked.
"Y-y-y-y-Yuri."
"Aw . . . very lovely. Tell me, YURI: Do I scare you?"
No answer was needed. It was obvious that he did.
"Come have coffee with me." Not a request.
She was silent.
"Is that a no?" he asked, a deadly gleam in his cat-eyes and a sour venom in his voice.
Yuri jumped. "O-of course! Where did you have in mind?"
Kadaj smiled. Oh yeah. He liked her. Alot. "How about the Dancing Buddha?"
