“Come on, Tifa, you can do it! Don't hold back!” Yunnie shouted from the sidelines.
Tifa stood on the sparring field, facing Reno. She had drawn her sword, the redhead was holding a long, wooden stake in hands, legs spread, knees slightly bent.
“I can think of better things to do on my day off” Irvine drawled and dropped backwards onto the grass, hands crossed beneath his head.
“Why's she havin' so much trouble, anyway? She fought well enough before. If she pulls herself together she'll pass the tests just fine” Cid commented, running his fingers through Ellone's soft auburn hair.
She lay on her back, head resting in the gunman's lap and smiled up at him as he started to twist a strand of her hair around his finger.
“Shut up, Cid. Everybody needs a little nudge in the back every now and then. Besides, you have no reason to complain. You're just sitting here getting a tan”
“True” Cid smirked. “But I could have taken you to the beach. We could have chilled, there”
Tifa raised her blade but made no attempt to attack. She knew she would be able to handle Reno. The redhead held back when fighting any woman besides Yuffie and he would probably make it easy for her. She would not reveal any of her fighting techniques, though, as long as Ellone was watching her.
//Do not let her study your moves// she repeated over and over in her head.
