Now for a really really really really short chapter. But oh well I needed something to fell the gap and also show Alex's nightmares so I wrote it. Again thoughts and the dream are in italics as it's the easiest way for me to show it.

Chapter 3 - Worst Nightmare

 

Stop please stop! No leave me alone I have to find Vincent No please Vincent please I need my brother please. Please let me go…

 

“Vincent!” I shout as I sit up in the bed. I see Cloud sat up next to me looking extremely worried. He places his hand on mine to get my attention.

 

“Ali what's the matter?” he says to me in a worried tone. I turn and look into his blue eyes that are now filled with concern.

 

“Just a dream it doesn't matter just go back to sleep” I say as I lay back down knowing full well I wouldn't be able to sleep again without having a nightmare.

 

“Ali?” Cloud says his voice sounding both scared and worried. I place my hand up to silence him.

 

“I'm fine Cloud its not like I haven't had a nightmare before please just go back to sleep” I say as I lower my hand. I place my hand under my cheek and stare into the darkness. I feel the bed dip as Cloud lies back down next to me. Suddenly I feel Cloud move closer to me and spoon his body against my back and place his arms around me in a very protective manner.

 

“Cloud what are you doing?” I ask slightly surprised by his actions but liking it none the less.

 

“Maybe this way we can both sleep… I know that you were going to wait until I was asleep and leave the bed this way you can't and you can get the sleep you obviously need” he speaks as he nuzzles his nose in my hair. I feel Cloud slowly fall asleep and try to pull away but even in his sleep Cloud has an incredibly strong grip. I sigh and decide to remain there awake but I slowly feel the warmth Cloud was emitting sending me off into a deep sleep.
