Reno makes another appearance hahaha this may be the last chapter unless I start writing again but I am not sure.

Chapter 7 - Suspicion and Research

 

Reno walks slowly due to his exhaustion into a small office and sits down at a mahogany desk located in front of a window. It was late and he was feeling tremendously tired but knew he still had to file in the work he had finished today and check in with the President. But really there was only one thing was on his mind… Alexandria.

“Why do I recognise her…? And how is she Vincent's sister” he speaks to himself as he sets his feet on the desk and leans back on his chair much to deep in thought to realise that someone had just swept into the room in complete silence.

“Something bothering you Reno?” speaks a voice that knocks Reno back out of both his thoughts and his chair causing him to land on the floor leaning against the window overlooking miles of land. He slowly stands up using the desk to help him stand straight then walks over to the person who is now hidden in the shadows of the room. Reno leans over and turns on the light.

“Mr President, sir… Why are you here I was just going to do my paper work and drop them off in your office” Reno says as he backs off back towards his desk and sits back down trying to look professional even though he was exhausted.

“Reno its past hours everyone else has left so call me Rufus okay… And I am aware of that but you have looked troubled since you returned from Strife's this afternoon and I thought I could help you… So what's bothering you?” Rufus says as he approaches the desk and watches Reno's every move and action. Reno sighs and pulls out a folder from a draw in his desk. Rufus continues to watch him with fascination as Reno reaches for a pen and begins to fill out the many various coloured papers from within the folder.

“While at the bar to drop the bike off for Cloud I saw someone… Someone who has been presumed dead for quite a while now… Alexandria Valentine… The sister of Vincent Valentine… Last I heard about her she was a second class soldier who was pretty close to both Zack and… Sephiroth… She went missing after meteor that was the last I heard… But that doesn't answer how she is Vincent's sister” Reno explains to Rufus who listens to him carefully. Once Reno finishes Rufus crosses his arms over his chest in thought.

“Looks like we are going to be doing some research… Though she may be Vincent's sister I think it is best to class her as suspicious… How old would you say she is?” Rufus asks as he uncrosses his arms as he rolls his wheelchair forward to approach closer to Reno.

“She looks about sixteen, seventeen. But that's what I mean she has to be at least fifty to be Vincent's sister and we had no other reports of anyone within the mansion with Vincent… But to be in Soldier it meant she must not have been held captive like Vincent… It's confusing really and it is giving me a headache” Reno explains as he signs another paper and then slides it back into the folder with the rest of the papers he had finished.

“Here I will take that, go home, eat and sleep, but meet me at nine tomorrow morning along with Rude and Elena and we can start looking into this Alexandria Valentine in detail I will make Tseng aware of this so he does not cause you problems… And if we find something that could be linked to anything suspicious we will let Cloud know… Is that okay Reno?” Rufus asks as he takes the folder from Reno's hand and heads to the door.

“That is fine sir. I will contact them both in the morning… And good night sir” Reno says as he watches Rufus leave the room. Reno leans back in his chair again many thoughts swimming through his mind, worry for himself but also worry for Cloud and the others if they discovered that Alexandria was dangerous and could not be trusted.
