Final Fantasy - All Series Fan Fiction ❯ An Angel's Story ❯ An Angel's Death ( One-Shot )
An Angel's Death…
The loss of a life
The loss of Aerith
The pain of Cloud Strife
For his angelic Aerith…
Her smile used to shame the morning sun
Her beauty turned the moon to envy
Her eyes betrayed the brightest emeralds
The burden she carried was quite heavy
She did not want bloodshed
She did not want greed
She did not want hatred
For things of riches, she didn't need
She knew her life would end
She knew that Cloud would be sad
She loved him more than a friend
Aerith was all he had
She knelt to the ground
And summoned her love
He came without sound
Bearing his mace
His mind screamed
His body distraught
His hand were steady
And yet his spirit fought
How could he even consider?
Of destroying such beauty
But her insistent urge was desperately bitter
Yet his love for her would not slaughter purity
The weapon had fallen from his hands
Aerith now knew how much he loved her
Though she could not undo the sands
The wounded earth needed her…
She smiled one last time
She summoned another…
Out of the shadows he came
Bearing freedom to her
His blade struck true
Life seeped away
The light in her eyes began to fade
Her spirit could no longer stay
An angel fell
She flew away
Leaving behind
Poor Cloud at bay
The loss of a life
The loss of Aerith
The pain of Cloud Strife
For his Angelic Aerith…
