Chapter 11.

"Wow, would you look at that."

"Holy shit!"

Seifer, Raijin and fans stood around the castle. It towered above the tallest tree.

"Bet, Zell's being held captive in there; no one would opt to live there."

The drawbridge was up and the moat around the castle bubbled ominously.

"B-But how can we get in there?" The fans stared at the fluid nervously.

"I'll take a look around; you guys find a way inside." The blonde took off round the side of the castle.

The fans backed away from the moat.

"You can't back out now! I thought you guys cared about Seifer." The dark man glared at them and went round the other side of the castle.

The villagers glanced at each other for suggestions.

"We could swim it."

"Or we could drink it then walk across."

The others looked at the guy who said that in amusement.

The dark, burly man grinned as he spotted a low open window with no glass. He's show how much better he was than these idiots but getting into the castle, finding Zell and helping Seifer slay the beast. Raijin pulled himself up the stone wall towards the window. He looked through; good the room was empty. The big man struggled through the small tight space; he landed with a thud on the over side.

"INTRUDER ALERT!! INTRUDER ALERT!!"

Raijin franticly glanced around for whoever he given he away. His eyes nearly fell from their sockets. The doormat stood length ways up, yelling at the top of its voice.

The dark man rubbed his eyes, but the image didn't change, he glanced back up at the window, he didn't think the fall was the far but maybe he'd got brain damage. The door mat keep yelling, so Raijin panicked and hid under the bed.

The door burst open and Laguna ran in, he held a candlestick in one hand, a clock in the other and a cup sat on his shoulder. He always knew Zell's dad was a bit mad but this was insane.

"Raijin, what are you doing here?!"

The candlestick waved at him and Raijin went pale. "T-This is insane!" He waved his sword at Laguna.

The brunette put down the furniture and held up his hands as a sign of peace.

"Where is he? Seifer's come to save Zell" He started to panic waving his sword at Laguna, threateningly.

Irvine nudged Kiros. "Go get help."

The clock hopped off the table and out the door.

"Save?"

"Yeah, you're being held captive, right?"

"NO! We live here."

The dark man laughed. "You'd have to be mad to live here with the evil minions!" He gestured to the furniture.

"Minions?" Laguna burst out laughing.

Suddenly the room shook and there was a low rumble. "What's that sound?"

The doors burst open to reveal Fujin. Raijin gave one last scream in terror before he was eaten by the cupboard.

Kiros hopped down from the top of the cupboard.

Laguna was the only on that didn't look happy. "We have to find Seifer; Zell may be in trouble!"

"Squall! If anything happens to him, I'll be a candlestick forever!" Irvine ran down the hall as fast as his little candlestick feet would carry him.

Seifer held Hyperion high as he opened door after door on the lower floors of the tower, working his way up searching.

"Zell!"

The little blonde looked over the banister in horror. Seifer? What was he doing here? What would he do? If Seifer forced him back to the village, he had to go he couldn't fight Seifer with that gunblade and he didn't want to put his friends in danger.

"Crap." He muttered as heard the soft furry footsteps behind him. "We're in trouble. I've got to hide."

He paused to see Squall looking down on the Seifer. "Hmmm, a gunblade... I use a gunblade... I could take him...."

"Squall! You can't hold your blade now remember?"

The beast pouted. "I could still take him."

Zell rolled his eyes and pushed Squall down the corridor. "We've got to hide."

Seifer finally made it to the top of the stairs. He went outside onto the roof.

"Zell!"

He froze when a figure moved from the shadows. The legend was true; there was a beast after all. Seifer got over his shock quickly as the beast moved towards him. This thing had taken his Zell and it was his duty to kill the fiend.

The blonde smirked at the beast and made a cocky 'come and get it' motion with his fingers.

Squall slashed Seifer's clothes with his clothes; the blonde jumped back grinning. "Feisty aren't ya."

"Where is he huh?"

"Seifer!"

The blonde looked up to see Zell sitting on a higher rooftop.

"Zell, are you okay? Did he hurt you?"

"No, Kitten wouldn't hurt me."

Squall rolled his eyes. Ever since they got drunk Zell had taken to calling him kitten as a sort of pet name.

Seifer raised an eyebrow. "Is that your name?"

"Of course not." He put one hand on his hip. "Are you going to fight me or not?"

Seifer lifted Hyperion again and lunged for Squall, he hacked and slashed at the beast, Squall had trouble keeping up with just his claws for weapons.

He backed up more and more until he had his back to a dead end; if he backed up anymore he'd fall to his death.

The blonde smirked and brought the blade down fast, slashing Squall between the eyes.

"NOOO!!!"

As the blood dripped to the ground white lights and steam surrounded the beast. Both blondes watched in awe as Lionheart fell from the sky to land in the stone of the roof. The white light faded as human Squall stepped out and pulled his blade free from the stone. Seifer was too shocked to move. Squall returned the favour, bringing to blade down to mark the blonde in the same way. Seifer staggered back, falling off the edge of the building. Squall moved to watch Seifer fall, but the blonde started up his rocket pack and flew to safety.

"I'm invincible!" *Evil Laughter*

He flew away never to be seen near the castle again.
