[ P - Pre-Teen ]

The wind rustled through the leaves. The warmth of the coming summer could be felt in the breeze. Gently Rinoa knelt down and brushed some weeds from a memorial stone. A smile somehow able to creep across her face, though she knew she should be sad.

"It's been a year since you left us Seifer." Rinoa said silently. "Time has passed so quickly. One minute you were your pain in the ass self, next we were saying our good byes."

Carefully Rinoa ran her fingers across the engraved name on the stone. Her face portraying that her mind lost on the memories she was recalling. Gently she found the mirth to laugh with rising memory.

"Twenty-one more days, and you would have been twenty-one. I know you already drank before this, but I knew you planned to drink Squall under the table... You were planning to go nuts." Rinoa shook her head. "You left us early you pompous ass, but I hope your doing fine were ever you are. Remeber-no matter what may happen-I still love you. Only wish I would have realized it sooner."

Slowly Rinoa layed a flower on the grave, then carved some words into the marble. Then slowly she stood walked away. Glancing back one more time. A tear drifting down her face, but a smile stubbornly across her face.

"Till next year Seifer."

Cancer had taken one life so quickly, so early. He had hid it as long as he could. Despite he was always playing the jerk, he didn't want anyone to worry. Because of this Rinoa was last to know he was sick. It was all right though, it made him feel better. Sighing at last Rinoa turned left the site.

On she carved:

For every day we had together,
Was a miracle.
Each extra moment we had,
A gift.
The love we shared,
Was never flawless,
But it was worth all the trouble.
One day,
I promise,
We will be together again.
This I declare to the world,
And the angels in the heavens.
