"Man, I can't believe we got away with it, ya know? I thought for sure
all of Selphie's friends would be tackling us down, ya know? I can't
get over how easy it was, ya--"
"QUIET!" Fujin swatted at Raijin's arm, forcing him to stumble aside.
He had been talking the entire way down to the dormitories, and it was
starting to get on her nerves.
Seifer appeared rather grateful for Fujin's outburst, and then stopped
before his room, "Well, let's just stash this away where no one can
find it. We certainly don't want Tilmitt with the help of -Leonhart-
going around and searching our room, do we?"
"Why don't we put it down where NORG was, ya know? I doubt anyone
would go looking down there, ya know? I mean, quite frankly those
Shumi's scared me, ya know...so I doubt anyone would want to go down
where some may be, ya know..." Raijin suggested, fumbling around with
his overly large necklace to go with his overly large neck.
Fujin had been ready to kick Raijin the minute he opened his mouth,
though she had to admit that he had a point. Albeit a screwed up
point, but it was a point. So, she turned toward Seifer with a nod,
"AFFIRMATIVE."
"Hm, maybe your right..." Seifer nodded and then shoved the megaphone
in Raijin's arms. "Therefore, you're going down to put it there..."
"Huh?!" His eyes widened on their posse leader.
Fujin couldn't suppress a snicker, that was until Seifer spoke up
again.
"And you're going down there too, Fuj."
"WHAT?!"
"I know Raijin would screw it up on his own. Therefore, you have to go
with him..." He waved his hand nonchalantly. "See you guys when you
get back."
The two stood bewildered as the blonde disappeared into his room.
Raijin shrank back from Fujin and looked around nervously.
"But, Fujin, there are...ya know...monsters down there, ya know?"
"IDIOT!" Fujin glared at him with one eye, and then pointed in the
direction of the elevator. "GO!"
Raijin reluctantly shuffled off toward that direction with Fujin close
behind.
Quistis had made her way around the circular halls, those blue eyes
surveying everything in sight. Everything was so festive, that one
couldn't help but feel a bit of the Christmas spirit as they walked
around there. Well, possibly Seifer wouldn't be able to, since he
hated Christmas after all. She found that a bit odd, having thought
that one like Seifer Almasy would have enjoyed getting presents upon
presents. Maybe, he would have hated the giving part, but surely Fujin
and Raijin would shower him with gifts. Perhaps she would even find
out then.
The instructor turned down the lengthy hall which stretched into
several large doors. She tried to recall which one Seifer occupied, as
she had been there when they were given out at first. Her old room
used to be quite close to Squall's and Seifer's. But, then she was
moved as soon as she had become an instructor. She wasn't even in the
dormitories, just somewhere near the rest of the staff. And she could
barely remember where her old dorm was. That, she blamed on using the
GFs. Those Guardian Forces had wiped out a lot of her memory, and
important things too. She recalled, very vaguely, that it was only the
year prior that she found out she had lived in the orphanage with
Seifer, Zell, Squall, Selphie, and Irvine. Let alone that Edea
(Matron) and Cid Kramer were the ones who kept the orphanage.
Still, she took a lucky guess and knocked on the door. Surprisingly,
that lucky guess proved to be the correct one. Quistis rarely guessed
anything right the first time through.
"Ugh, what is it now, you guys? Did you forget your damn way...?"
Seifer gritted his teeth and apparently got up from somewhere,
stalking toward the door. It slid open to reveal the instructor and a
heavy sigh escaped his lips. "Yeah, what do YOU want now?!"
"That's a very nice greeting you have, Seifer. Very nice..." Quistis
appeared smug, which obviously made the other steam with anger.
"Go away."
"Oh no. Not until I get back Selphie's megaphone..."
"Why would you want it? I'm sure even -you- can appreciate the peace
here, Instructor Trepe," Seifer sneered.
"That's not the point of the matter. You wrongly took it away from
her...it was hers. And she wants it back, so that's why I came to get
it."
"Yeah, well...I don't got it anymore. Sent it out with Fujin and
Raijin."
"And where are they...?" Quistis arched a brow.
"Ha! Like I'm going to tell you. And as a matter of fact, I didn't
take it wrongly..." Seifer turned on his heel, heading into his room
and gathering a pamphlet of some sort. " 'Rule #33. Any items used to
disrupt the normal peace at Balamb shall be confiscated.' I was only
doing my duty as a member of the Disciplinary Committee."
The eighteen year old narrowed her eyes and then stormed in after him,
seizing that pamphlet away, "You ATTACKED her to get it!"
"Doesn't matter, now does it?" Seifer cocked his head aside
arrogantly, only to be slapped across the face with that paper.
"Seifer Almasy! You're always using dirty tricks to get what you want!
You haven't changed at all, have you?!"
He raised his brows, "No...but apparently you have. The normally
placid instructor...attacking one of the students of Balamb..."
Quistis blinked in realization, and quickly put the paper aside,
"That's not the point. Now, tell me Seifer...where did you send Raijin
and Fujin?"
"Bah...you go search. I'm tired..." He made his way over toward the
bed.
"Being tired is no excuse for not telling me where they are. You could
have said their location with less effort than it took to tell me you
were tired in the first place!"
"You sound like an instructor even when you're not...instructing
anyone. Geeze..."
The woman threw her hands up in the air with exasperation, and stomped
forward. Though, Seifer's room being a complete mess, the toe of her
boot caught on the gunblade that lay on the floor. A loud bang emitted
from the trigger, and Quistis toppled forward, dropping on the leader
of the Disciplinary Committee. For a moment, they were a tangle of
limbs, fighting frantically to separate, though they paused for a
moment, captured by each other's stare. It seemed that for a long
while no one was going to make a move, though Seifer changed that when
he immediately crushed lips against the Instructor's own. A blush
instantly rose into her cheeks, but that kiss wasn't about to go
unrequited. Selphie's megaphone became a distant idea in her mind,
growing dimmer and dimmer by the second. It was only a little later
that she had completely forgotten she was fighting with Seifer just
minutes before, and all that consumed her mind was the lip-lock at
hand. Any strength left her body, and she dropped her full weight
(which wasn't all that heavy) onto Almasy's chest. The passionate kiss
continued on with barely a break for even oxygen to enter their
bodies.
The gunblade fire was easily heard in the Quad, since Selphie was no
longer the loudest thing in Balamb (although she came pretty close).
Everyone there jumped and snapped their attention toward the doorway
as though attempting to look through the walls and see what had been
the source. Though, unfortunately for them, they weren't in the
Lunatic Pandora so transparent walls weren't a thing that was commonly
found in the garden. Irvine jumped to his feet, grasping his rifle and
narrowed his eyes.
"I reckon they killed Quisty!"
"Um, Irvine...don't you think that's a little drastic?" Squall arched
a brow.
"Well, uh, maybe..." The cowboy-wanna-be admitted, slumping those
shoulders somewhat.
"Still, what if Quistis was hurt..." Zell glanced toward Squall, and
then added as an after thought. "Baby!"
Rinoa blinked over at Zell as his 'baby' fit no where in context with
that sentence. Perhaps he forgot to take his drugs that morning.
However, she stepped toward Squall, "We should check it out then, I
suppose. Right?"
"Yeah, Squall! You totally gotta make up the plans and decide which
party will split up and do what. And what GFs we're going to junction
and a whole bunch of mega-annoying stuff," Selphie looked toward
Leonhart as everyone else had.
"That just means we gotta go off and have no purpose like always. It's
a good thing we don't have to be on Squall's party. That would mean we
gotta do all the work," Nida said to Xu, who was nodding thoroughly in
agreement.
"Damn it! Why do I have to be the one to make up all the decisions?!
Why can't Selphie or someone..." Squall furrowed his brows.
"Uh, it's because you're the hero, dude. You gotta do
everything...that's just the rules..." Zell nodded, patting the
current leader of Balamb on the shoulder.
"Ugh, fine! Then, I think Zell, Irvine, and Selphie should go check it
out...and me and Rinoa will just stand around and wait..."
"Booyaka! You mean I have to leave the Quad?" Selphie shuffled her
boots with a huff. "You better make sure everything gets put in place,
Squall! Come on guys...let's go totally kick their butts! Booyaka!"
