Chapter one: Silver Wishes

 

A young woman walked out of her home a solemn expression on her face as she waved goodbye to her neighbors and friends. She would not come back. Not alive at least. She looked at the end of the town to where people were waiting for her. This is the last time I shall be here. Good bye my home. She ran to where they were and smiled, “Are we ready to go?”

“Fa fana uhmo fyedehk uh oui oy mywo pedlr!” yelled an older gentleman of the group in a different tongue.

“Now, now that's no way to talk to the high summoner!” yelled a younger gentleman with frizzed out blonde hair, “Lady Lenne doesn't need people like you yelling at her!”

She looked to the young man Shuyin…always sticked up for me. She couldn't help but smile wider, “Come on guys ignore him. Let's go we have to finish this war.”

“Yeah guys quit fighting!” Another young woman pulled Shuyin away from the other man, “Come on break it up break it up!”

Lenne ran ahead of the group to look out on the land that was her home till now Goodbye Besaid, Goodbye home, and Goodbye…my life...

Shuyin walked away from the older man and smiled at Lenne, “Next time, let's leave him behind.”

“Pycdynt.” The Elder man gets hit upside the head by the young woman.

“Quit cursing and start moving!” she started walking and soon caught up to Shuyin and Lenne, “Hey Lenne how long do you think till we get to the war?”

“Donno…I hope it ends soon after we get there though…” and I survive. I know I won't but…Shuyin…

“Rika let's keep things happy until we get there. And no war is not happy.” Shuyin looked to rika when she opened her mouth then she shut it again.

“When winter comes in summer,

When there's no more forever,

When lies become the truth,

Well you know then baby,

That's when I'll stop lovin',

That's when I'll stop loving you.” Lenne muttered the words to the song as she slid down the cliff, “Come on guys!”

“Hey! Wait up!” Shuyin and the rest followed after her.

A thousand years later yuna woke with a start, “Another one of her memories…”

She knew she was going to die yet she still went. She went to be with him. I know that I would do the same for…Yuna sat up and pulled her boots on, “Crap I overslept again.” She jumped down the stairs and ran to the elevator of the big metal airship called Celsius. She took the elevator to the bridge and jumped over the railing to the rest of the people, “Sorry. What'd I miss?”

“Just the unveiling of shinra's, yet again, new invention.” Said a girl with long blonde hair tied up in a pony tail in back and braids falling stay down her headband.

“It was the invention called the `I have to wake everyone up at three in the morning to see this'.” Said another young woman with short silver hair and pure red eyes, “Shinra do you really think we need a cloning machine on a spaceship!?”

“Heh. Sorry.” Said a young kid turning around in his seat. You couldn't see any of his body but no one really seemed to care.

“E fyc ryjehk y kuut tnays duu!!!!” yelled a man with a blonde Mohawk and tattoos down his chest angrily.

“What another one about yuna?” a man with short white blonde hair came over putting his silver sun glasses on, “Well since we're all up why don't we all-“

“Go back to bed!” the girl with short white hair stormed off to the elevator.

“I'm with Dr. P on this.” The girl with blonde hair ran to the elevator too.

Rikku and Paine…they're my best friends but sometimes they can be a little on the weird side…I think that other girl in the dream…Rika…was she Lenne's best friend? Yuna stretched and yawned, “Well….uh…good morning…I'm going to bed.” She went to the elevator and caught it just before it closed with the other two girls.

“What was Shinra thinking!? Waking us up at these hell hours.” The woman with short silver hair said.

“Paine I'm with you but calm down!” Yuna said then looked to the other girl, “At least we get to go back to bed. Right Rikku?”

“Yeah….” She fell asleep leaning against the elevator wall.

Paine sighed, “Looks like we're going to have to carry her to the bed again.”

Yuna sighed too, “Yeah.” When the elevator stopped both girls got out and set Rikku down on her bed then went to theirs.

Lenne and the others traveled towards their far off target of the war and as they did Lenne moved as close as she could to Shuyin. She knew she probably wouldn't see him in the afterlife and that they only had a few short months together. I love you Shuyin…why do we have to be torn apart? She looked at the ground. As she did so Shuyin put his arms around her waist and held her close. He knew her thoughts of lost hope. He loved her just as much as she loved him but sometimes things seemed so hard for them. She relaxed in his arms and he continued to hold her.

“I guess we set camp up here huh?” Rika asked as she looked up and flicked her long blonde hair out of her silvery blue eyes, “Cause the love birdies are setting up their nest.”

“Crioeh oui'na y vilgehk runho pycdynt.” Said the elder man as he set down his stuff and went off to find fire wood.

Rika set her stuff down too and followed the other man, “I better go with sir curse a lot while you two have your fun.” She winked causing Lenne to go a bright shade of red then she ran off after the man.

Shuyin looked across the far stretches of the forest around them, “Lenne think we can find someplace more comfortable?”

She murmured against his chest a yes and he picked her up going through the woods to find a more relaxing area. As they traveled down one of the paths they came across a hidden one and took it till they reached a clearing that was very beautiful. Fire flies flew around the area where purple and white wild flowers grew around a small circular grassy meadow. Shuyin sat Lenne down and smiled at her, “I love you Lenne.”

“I love you too Shuyin. I wish this didn't have to end.” Lenne replied her big brown eyes starting to water.

“Shhh don't cry my love I have an idea.” Shuyin kissed her passionately, “we have only 2 months together but I know how to make this work.”
