Chapter 8 - The Final Battle


Lloyd turned to look at Sky "Well if Sin isn't who she thinks then who is she?!"
"That's the whole point we don't know" Sky shrugged.
Lloyd raised a brow " I guess we can research it. The castle does have a library right?"
Sky suddenly burst into laughter "You doing research?! I don't think you can even read a book!!"
Akuja and Akujin watched rather entertained by the bout from the side of the room.
"I can to!!" LLoyd sneered " I can read a damn book!!"
Sky shook her head and lead the three upstairs to the library.

Sephiroth and Sin had already made it into the library before the others had. She turned her head seeing the others walk into the library. Lloyd eyes widened seeing the two already in here.
"How'd you two beat us in here?!" Lloyd asked.
Sin shrugged and returned to the book she was reading. Sephiroth looked over her shoulder as she read. LLoyd sighed and looked over a book about mythology, shrugging he picked it up off the shelf, took it to a table and began skimming through the pages.
Sephiroth looked to Lloyd reading and raised a brow "When did you learn to read?"
Lloyd glanced over at his brother " I learned from watching Hojo read. Like I really had anything better to do in that dump"
Sin ignores Lloyd and continues reading her book, Sephiroth shakes his head at him.
Lloyd eyes widen and pointed to a paragraph in the book " I know, she could be a goddess!!"
Akuja shakes her head "The way it sounds your never right so I'd think not."
Sky nodded her head in agreement with her. Suddenly the glass windows broke blasting everyone aback. Smoke filled the room, everyone was scattered across the library. Sephiroth looked around trying to make his way through the thick smoke.
Sin rubbed her head and looked up seeing Drake in front of her. She glared and stood beginning moving away. But the man smirked and gripped Sin's wrist tightly.
"LET ME GO!!!" Sin screamed out in fear.
Sephiroth's eyes lit up hearing Sin, He stood trying to find his way around but as the smoke cleared Sin and drake were no where in sight. Sephiroth's eyes narrowed in anger and he tried to run out but Lloyd and Sky restrained him.
"Sephiroth calm down!! I know someone who can help us find Sin" Lloyd struggled to hold back Sephiroth. The man growled and stopped clenching his fists tightly.
Lloyd pulled out the PHS and began dialing a number. It finally stopped ringing and someone picked up
"Umm hello?" The voice of a woman asked
"Hey Ananne! It's me, Lloyd from the army!" He said trying to be polite
"EWWWW...well anyway what do you want?!" She demanded not to pleased with the call.
"We need to you track someone for my friend" Lloyd spoke getting to the point.
"Oh well then I'll be right there" the phone suddenly went dead.
Inside the palace a woman appeared, seemingly an elf of some kind. Dressed in bronze armor and leather leggings. She grinned widely and walked over to the group.
"I'm here!" She shouted as she walked over. "Now who is this I need to track?"
"Sin, you remember from the army as well" Sky reminded Annane of their time in the military.
"Okay then" Annane closed her eyes then once again reopened them " This way!!" She pointed running out of the palace

Sin stood against a wooden post in a strange palace. Chains binded her arms up and her feet were locked onto the ground. She had already tried to get loose but the chains had been binded by magic. Drake walked into the room and looked down at Sin, a sadistic smile worn on his face.
"I see you stopped struggling. Good because the more you do the tighter the chains will become my dear." He grinned walking forward.
A woman walked down the stairwell to the area where Drake kept Sin, eventually revealing it was Scarlet.
"I don't see why she is so important!!" Scarlet hissed looking to Sin.
Drake turned to Scarlet "You'll see soon enough"
Scarlet growled "Damnit why won't you let me fight her?! I'd kick her ass any day!"
Drake raised a brow in interest " So you want to fight her huh?!" On his face his lips formed a smirk "Well then I'll let you. We'll just see how strong you are then Scarlet. Now I'll head to my alter and remove the spell"
Scarlet smirked and stepped forward to Sin " I don't know why Sephiroth would want such a woman. You don't even who you really are Sin. But I do" Scarlet grins "And you'll never find out. Once I kill you Sephiroth will be all mine" Sin eyes narrowed on Scarlet.
"He'd never love someone like you Scarlet. I love him and he loves me nothing will every change that. If you've ever been in love you'd know that." Sin growled at Scarlet.
Around the two women a pentagon energy field appear. Scarlet grinned but soon it faded as the chains that held Sin snapped into pieces. Sin smirked and began approaching Scarlet the two began their fight.
Drake meanwhile stood on his alter and began chanting a spell. He was dressed in a traditional sorcerer's gown, odd markings were drawn onto his face. In his hands a large staff rest glowing a blackish color.

Sephiroth rushed through the castle doors looking for Sin. He stopped seeing a flight of stairs and ran down them as the others followed. He burst through and entrance seeing Sin and Scarlet fighting. Just as he saw her Sin had sliced scarlet through the heart. Scarlets blood spilled out across Sin's hands, the woman turned seeing Sephiroth but before she could do anything a black glow surrounded her.
Drake walked in gazing smugly at Sin. She falls to her knees as the black light engulfs her. Sephiroth looked on in horror seeing Sin in that much pain, the others look away from the black light. As the light faded Sin was no where in sight, but instead a woman who looked identical to Sin but a more sense of hate in her.
The woman looked around "Finally I live again!"
Drake stepped towards the woman "Ah the goddess Celest."
"Sin..." Sephiroth eyes narrowed and looked to Drake in pure hate"What have you done to Sin?!"
"Your Sin is no more. Only the goddess of Destruction that lived inside of her is" Drake smirked
" I TOLD YOU I TOLD ALL OF YOU BUT NO!!" Lloyd shouted proudly showing he was right.
Celest looked down at Sephiroth "Sin? I know no Sin"
Sephiroth glared and turned to the Goddess "Bring Sin back!"
"I have no clue what you talking about mortal." She shrugged looking at Sephiroth. "All I am worried about is destroying this entire world"
Sephiroth's eyes narrow and without warning a white wing emerges from his back. He slowly pulls out the Masasume and approaches Celest.
"It's you! The one winged Angel?! How can this be?!" Celest glared at Sephiroth now as the One Winged Angel. "I won't let you win this!"
The one winged angel soars up into the air and Celest follows. The two duel as the watchers on the ground could only watch. Celest screamed in pain as Sephiroth slashes her across the chest with the Masasume. "The One-Winged Angel is the only semi mortal that can defeat you Celest. And you know that perfectly well, so why don't you give up before it's too late?" Sephiroth calls down to her. Celest glares at him and takes off towards him once more. The One Wing Angel has full control and showed to hesitation in fighting Celest knowing she was once the only person he care for, Sin.
Sephiroth looked at Celest in anger "Time to finish this!!!" He shouted as he comes at Celest with the Masasume for the last time. Celest's eyes widen and she prepares an energy spear.
Celest growled and formed a black beam "If I die I'm taking you with me!!" The beam shot from her finger and hit The One Winged Angel in the neck going straight through just as the Masasume drives through Celest's middle. For a moment before the two died, the others of the group could have sworn to seeing the spirits of Sephiroth and Sin come together a Celestial Embrace. Suddenly Celest and The one winged Angel disappeared in a bright flash of white light, leaving nothing but the group looking on in fear and astonishment.
