Complications

The TruthII: At least you explained this time... If you've even read this story, then you'll see I spent a whole chapter developing a character... Plus, I just realized the first one was more or less required for this one to take place.

Chapter 8: Coritsu and Shade

Coritsu patiently paced in spot as she thought of what to say to Edea... and to Shade. She wondered if he would accept her telling him the truth. She wondered if Edea would accept her talking with him.

Erin stared at her daughter.

"Yes, mother?" Mackenzie asked.

"Mackensy! I wanna go to the orphanage!"

"Oh, hello Ashley. Where are your brother and sister?" Erin asked the 6-year-old.

"Oh, they told me they would be at the orphanage today!"

Erin glanced over at Shaina and wondered what was wrong with her. She was just staring into the distance.

"Shaina?"

"Erin, I... No, I can't be her! Use your senses, maybe you can sense it."

Erin nodded and closed her eyes for a second before they shot open again.

"It can't be! I KILLED her 13 years ago!"

"Mother, explanation please?"

Erin looked at her daughter with a worried look on her face. Mackenzie glared at her, but soon could feel something wrong.

"Mackenzie, baby, I need you to do something you haven't done before. Just close your eyes and reach out to see if you sense any evil," Erin quickly explained to her middle child.

"Fine, fine..."

Mackenzie closed her eyes, and Erin could tell she was reaching out to find what was wrong. When the girl opened her eyes again, she was more confused than anything.

"I could feel some evil coming from the direction of the orphanage."

"Let's GO!" Erin stated, "Hey Ash, come on girl."

"Okay Aunty!"

Coritsu looked in the distance as she could sense someone approaching her. She saw the closing in figures of Erin Siri and Shaina Fari, and she could also sense two other Siri's she'd never met before. Coritsu looked back at the orphanage and saw all the kids running around...

"Except one," she finished her thoughts out loud, and then started walking in the direction of the orphanage.

Erin finally saw the person... the woman she had been sensing.

"Coritsu Itsu..." Shaina stated.

"I killed her thirteen years ago. No body could have survived that kinda of gunblade injury, not even if you were extremely lucky!"

Erin watched as the figure of the woman approach the orphanage, but it didn't seem like she was going to harm anything. Erin could also sense this kind of kindness radiating from her.

"Come on!"

When Coritsu was just a few feet away from the orphanage, she sighed, long and heavily. Then she started walking towards the building again. All of the kids stopped what they were doing and watched her. She heard some excited whispers among the children. Instead of stopping to ask any of them if she knew a Shade, Coritsu went inside. There, she was greeted by Cid and Edea Kramer.

"Why hello miss, how might I... Edea?"

"Oh my, could it be? Are you Coritsu?"

"Yes, I am. I'm not here to harm you though. I'm here to see Shade. We were..."

Before Coritsu could finish the sentence, Erin, Shaina, Mackenzie, and Ashley burst into the room.

"Coritsu, what in the world are you doing here? No, I should ask first, how are you still alive?"

"Erin Sayling Siri, how nice to see you again! To answer your second question first, I barely survived. To answer your first question, I've come here to see my so... I mean to see Shade."

"Shade? I know you almost said son, I just know you did," Shaina stated.

Mackenzie was just looking around at all the people confused, and it looked like little Ashley was too. If Ashley was though, she wasn't it showing it.

"Matron... Where's Jamie and Cory?"

"For Ashley right? Ashley, their right down that hallway. Cid, could you take her to them?"

The headmaster nodded his head. Erin set Ashley down and she ran after the older man.

"Ok, Edea, may I see Shade?"

"Yes Miss Itsu, you may. Shaina, could you go get Shade please?"

"Of course Matron!"

Shaina ran out of the room, which left Edea, Erin, Mackenzie, and Coritsu alone there. Coritsu turned to Mackenzie, wondering who she was.

"And who are you?"

Mackenzie was about to speak, but suddenly had her mouth covered by her mother.

"And why might you ask Coritsu?"

"I'm just asking. I've changed Erin. If you want me to, I can explain later."

"Her name is Mackenzie Siri, and she's my daughter. The one that left with Cid is Ashley, Aires' youngest child."

"Well, you answered two of my questions, one of which I had never asked."

Shaina looked around, but the thought soon dawned on her that he was probably where he had been before... by the wall.

She went over to where she had been not just 10 minutes ago and saw Shade still standing there.

"Hey Shade," Shaina stated nicely.

"Hi."

"There's someone here who wants to see you."

"Fine."

Shaina led Shade into the orphanage building to where Erin, Edea, Coritsu and Mackenzie were waiting.

"Coritsu, this is Shade. Shade, this is your mother, Coritsu," Erin stated, doing the introductions for Edea.

"Shade? My baby's all grown up!" Coritsu cried, walking up and hugging the unsuspecting boy.

"Coritsu, I'm going to take up your offer on you explaining what in the world happened. Edea, do you mind us taking Shade from the orphanage. Besides, I suspect that Cid would want Shade to be joining garden soon, he is of age for it and all."

"Yes I would Erin," Cid replied, walking into the room, trailed by three kids. Ashley, Jamie, and Cory.

"First off thought, Coritsu, meet Aires' children. You already know Ashley, but that's Jamie, and she's 7 years old. The boy is Cory, and he's 8 years old."

"Come on, let's go!" Shaina said impatiently, and then walked out.

A/N: Another chapter done, and it hit 5 pages, wow. Anyway, just a warning now, but the next chapter is going to go right onto the next day, and either start out in Rachel, Sora, or Mackenzie's point of view. If you have any questions, either e-mail me or review. Well, please review anyways!
