Angel stretched lazily as they waited for an airship to be ready. She had been told to change into something she can move around easily in, in other words, pants. Angel was really enjoying the feel of the freedom from a dress. They had decided that the Garnet, Zidane, Angel, Tarino, Terian, Beatrix, Mikoto, Freya, Fratley, and Farin would go.

Tarino looked over at Farin and smiled, glad that his best friend was allowed to come. Better yet, glad that they would let him stay in the castle. Before heading for the new airship docks, Tarino had let Farin wear some of his clothes for the trip. Now, instead of ragged clothes, Farin had more of an appropriate travel outfit on.

Now, Farin was wearing a dark red shirt with matching pants. His hair had been brushed and washed, and it was still a bit wet. He had also been scrubbed clean and looked almost as if he could be a child of the royal family, with the exception of not having a tail.

Tarino was almost wearing a matching outfit, only in dark blue. He'd also been washed clean, and his hair was also still drying. His tail swung freely, the first thing to have dried.

Angel was wearing a cerulean blue shirt with matching pants. She was the only one of the kids to have actually dried her hair, and the long black strands were blowing lightly in the wind. Her jet-black tail was also swinging freely.

The airship finally got there, showing that they would be taking the Red Rose to the village. Everyone got on and the engines started back up again and it took off.

"This is my first time out of the Mist Continent too," Terian admitted.

Terian wasn't wearing her regular out, but more of a casual one like the others. Her outfit consisted of a light red shirt with matching pants. Her brown, elbow-length curly hair blowing from the rushing wind. She heard someone come up next to her. Terian looked over and saw her mother standing there.

"Hello, Terian," Beatrix said.

"Hey."

"Are you glad that you get to go out of the continent?"

"Yeah, I am. I'm excited really."

"This isn't my first time out, but I don't want to talk about it."

"That's fine with me," Terian replied, and walked over to where Angel, Tarino, and Farin were standing.

"Guess this is the first time out of the Mist Continent for all of us," Angel said.

"It's my first time out of Alexandria!" Farin admitted.

For the rest of the trip, they were silent.

Ruby laughed heartily at a joke that Soria had made. Silver still had a cloak on. Ruby finally acknowledged him.

"Hey, you, wit' the cloak."

"Yeah?" he grunted.

"Why don't ya take tha cloak off?"

"I don't want to."

"Oh, come on Silver!"

"Fine, fine!" Silver mumbled.

He sighed as he took off the cloak and heard Ruby.

"Oh my goodness! Your... your... Kuja!"

The large group walked off of the airship and started the trek through the forest and to the village. There were still some lingering non-mist monsters, which Beatrix got rid of for the group. They quickly reached the village, and Mikoto was the first to enter.

All eyes, both Genome and Black Mage, were on the group. Among the gemones were several little ones, which were clinging onto other genomes. Those gemones were probably parents.

"Mi was right, they definitely have changed," Zidane whispered.

Garnet nodded in agreement as Mikoto lead them into the hut that was for the towns leaders.

"Everyone, I think you all remember Vivi Orinitier," Mikoto announced.

"Hey!" Vivi exclaimed, his bright yellow eyes seemingly glowing brighter.

"Go ahead, everyone, take a seat."

They did so and took a seat in the expanded hut. Zidane sat next to Mikoto, with Garnet next to him. Next, Angel, Tarino, and Farin sat next to Garnet. On the other side were Freya (next to Mikoto, across from Zidane), Fratley (next to Freya), Beatrix (next to Fratley), and Terian. Vivi sat down next to Terian.

"As you know, you are here to discuss the new building on the Forgotten Continent. Alexandrian ships are currently being dispatched there, and also to Lindblum and Burmecia to get more workers. Zidane, care to explain more?" Mikoto asked.

"Okay, will do. Once workers start work on the first city, and we also get there, digging will start into the steep cliffs so that docks may be made. Construction starts next week on the first city, and the week after that the digging starts," Zidane explained.

"Well, let's head there then!" Angel said, very excited that she'd get to see the world almost as her parents had seen it thirteen years earlier.

~

Ruby stared in shock at the man standing before them.

"But... Zidane said you died!" she finally sputtered.

"I don't even know how I survived," Kuja admitted as there were several heavy footsteps resounding through the theater.

In walked four men and burly looking.

"We've lost him! Farin's gone!" the tallest one exclaimed.

~

Regent Cid stepped into the awaiting airship from Alexandria, noticing that there were several rats there.

"Hello, King."

"Hello Regent."

The Burmecian King walked off below deck. Cid walked over to where Hilda and Eiko standing, talking with someone.

"Hello, your majesty."

"Hello, Captain Steiner."

The man in rusted armor bowed politely, and ran off, clanks trailing him. Regent Cid held in back a laugh at the clanking. He'd heard it several times before, yet that man would not get new armor!

~

"Baku! You have gotta be joking!" Ruby exclaimed.

"Rubster, it's true. Farin's gone," a man with deep red hair and a headband that seemed to cover his eyes said.

"Where would he be?" Soria asked.

"Oh, hey there Sori! To answer your question, usually when he runs off, which isn't that often, we find him up in the castle making trouble," a fatter man addressed.

"Well, let's head for the castle then!" Rose said cheerfully. "Kuj, make sure your cloak's back on."

Baku and the other two men both looked at the silver haired man. "Kuja?!" they all said in unison.

"Yes, Kuja. Now, let's hurry on, shall we?" Kuja suggested, pulling the cloak on all the way again and walking out.

~

"But...!" Zidane argued for what seemed like the millionth time back through the forest in which they were lost.

"Fine, FINE! Teach them!" Garnet finally shouted, startling several birds.

Angel, Tarino, Terian, and Farin all looked at each other, confused. Even through all this fighting, they had never said exactly WHAT the two adults wanted to teach the teens.

"Here comes one now! Beatrix, don't attack!" Zidane ordered.

The knight complied and backed off from her fighting stance. Zidane waved for the teens to come over, them finally realizing what the argument was over. As of yet, Terian had practiced on some dummies back at the castle, but never actually got into a real battle. Now was her chance to prove herself worthy of being an Alexandria Knight.
