DemonGirl-Setsuna: Hi there! Setsuna here!

Last Chapter; Vincent stayed over at Karin's apartment again for another night.

And, Tifa accused Karin of doing embarrassing acts with Vincent.

Chapter 10

----------------------------------------

Seven Hours Later…
-4pm; After College-

“So, what's Vincent like?”, Tifa asks, as both her and Karin walk into the College court-yard.

“Huh?”, Karin gasps.

“Personality-wise, I mean?”

“Let me see…”, she says, thinking about his personality as she puts her hand to her chin, “I'd say that he's a mystical man, stern and upright while at the same time dark and mysterious, but he's also a compassionate and humane individual…”, she answers.

“Not to mention, cute to boot”.

“Tifa!”, she screams, her face turning bright red.

“You're blushing…”, Tifa teased, only causing Karin's face to become a darker shade of red, “Admit it, you have a crush on him”.

“What is going on over by the gate?”, Karin questions, ignoring Tifa's accusation to point towards the court-yard gate at the crowd of female-students.

“I don't know…”

“Let's go find out”, she says, running up ahead of Tifa towards the group.

As the two of them closed in, they could hear the girls muttering things like: “He's so cute!”, “I wonder if he has a girlfriend…”, and “Are those contacts or his natural eye-color?”

“Excuse me…”, Karin grunts out as she pushes her way through the hoard of girls; while dragging Tifa along, to see what her classmates were gawking at. In the front of the group she sees Vincent sitting on his parked `Cerberus' wearing black-jeans, a black tank-top underneath a black leather-jacket with black leather motorcycle-boots and fingerless-gloves, the black double-strapped leather collar secured around his neck, and his hair was tied back with a blood-red hair-elastic; if you were to look up the definition of `Bad-Ass' you'd find his picture right beside it, `They always say girls have a thing for the bad-boys… And boy do you look the part, Vincent…', she comments in her head, as she slowly makes her way towards her fellow Vampire-hunter, “Excuse me…”, she says.

“Where do you think you're going, Hitodama?”, a female voice asks.

Karin looks up to find one of her classmates blocking her path, she had mid-back length golden-blonde hair with dazzling bright hazel-eyes. Her name was Sasuka Kaisawa and she was the most popular girl in the College, whatever cute guy she wanted she got, even if the guy was already taken; except Cloud, but only because he didn't show any interest in her or he wasn't cute enough for her tastes, Karin couldn't remember which one.

“Hello, Kaisawa…”, she grinded out from behind clenched-teeth.

“Thought you would try to talk to him before I could, didn't you?”, Sasuka mocks, “Because it's a fact that you wouldn't stand a chance against me in getting him if I talked to him first…”, she flips her hair over her shoulder.

“It's nothing like that…”, Karin replies, pretending to fake innocence.

“Really…?”

“Go on right ahead, talk to him first…”, she invited, `This should be entertaining…', she thought with a smirk, as she watched her stroll over towards Vincent.

Vincent looks up at Sasuka as she made her way towards him, but his crimson-eyes move to look beyond her to look at Karin, “Oh, there you are Karin!”, he states, as he climbs off his bike and walks over to her, completely ignoring Sasuka as he passed, “Why did it take so long to get out of class?”

“Vincent… You didn't notice the crowd surrounding you?”, she asks, glancing around at the envious girls glaring at her.

“I did, but I was trying to ignore them. Especially the one with the hazel-eyes chattering away like a parrot in my ear”, he answers, still not regarding the girls around them, “Talk about annoying!”

The girls all gasps at his comment; except Tifa.

“Hehehe…”, Karin nervously laughs.

“Come on, I'll give you a ride home”, he says, gently grabbing her by the wrist and leads her towards his bike.

“Sure…”, she stammers, lightly blushing as she followed him.

As they started to walk past Sasuka, the spoiled little princess who was always used to getting her way stuck her foot out in front of Karin's feet, causing the obvious victor to trip and start to fall forward.

“Uh, Karin!”, Vincent shouts, quickly turning around to catch the falling young woman when he felt her body-weight pull on his arm.

He positioned himself in between Karin and the concrete, and lands hard on his back as a pained-gasp escaped his throat, then Karin lands on top of him; her landing cushioned by Vincent's body. But that wasn't the only thing that happened…

Every single girl; including Tifa, gasp out at the scene, Karin laid on top of a sprawled out Vincent, their lips were interlocked; they had just `accidentally' kissed, in public no less.

Karin was the only one who could break off the kiss she was sharing with Vincent, only because he couldn't move much with him on his back and her on top of him, pushing herself off of him.

“Sorry…”, she mutters, only loud enough for his ears to hear, as her face turned as red as a cherry.

Vincent sat up looking a little ruffled, but he was able to hide his embarrassment better than Karin could, “You alright, Karin?”, he asks, as he stood up and then offered his hand to her to help her up.

“I think so…”, she stuttered, as she took his hand and he pulled her to her feet.

“Good, let's get you home”, he says, heading over to his bike ahead of her.

“You bitch!”, Karin snaps, as she turns towards the very girl who had caused this incident, “Someone could have gotten hurt because of you!”

“It isn't my fault you're a klutz!”, Sasuka smugly retorts.

“You're just pissed because he wants nothing to do with you!”, she remarks, as she turned away from the fuming female, flipping her braid behind her back and succeeding in smacking Sasuka across the face with it, then she lifts her foot up in a sideways high-kick; stopping just a half an inch from the girl's nose, “Oh yeah, if you try something like that again. I swear the next-time I won't stop my foot, I'll just let it hit”, she warns, putting her foot back down, and walks towards Vincent and his motorcycle.

Sasuka collapses to her knees, her eyes completely wide open as she stared up at Karin.

Karin jumps onto the motorcycle behind Vincent, “Oh and Tifa…?”

“Yes?”, Tifa questions.

“The answer to your question is, yes…”, she replies, as Vincent stated to pull away from the curb.

Twenty Blocks Later…

Vincent quickly pulls over to the side of the road and tries to park his motorcycle, but as he tries to, a bout of dizziness overcomes him and he nearly falls over, almost dumping himself and Karin onto the sidewalk.

“Vincent, what's wrong?”, Karin asks, as she quickly stabilizes the bike's balance by putting her feet on the ground.

“I don't know…”, he replies, putting a hand to his head, “I just got light-headed all of a sudden…”

“You need to sit down”, she says, putting the kickstand down and climbs off the bike to help him off it, and guides him to sit onto the sidewalk, “Just sit with your head in between your knees”, she advises.

“Okay…”, he pants, doing as she told him to.

They sit on the side of the road for what seemed like half an hour, before the world stopped spinning around on Vincent and he slowly got back to his feet.

“That was weird…”, he mutters.

“I take it, nothing like this has happened before, right?”

“Yeah, this sort of thing hasn't happened to me before…”, he replies, still feeling a little light-headed, but not as bad as before.

“That is strange…”, she comments.

Vincent doesn't even add his two-cents on her comment.

“Vincent…?”, she asks.

No response.

“Vincent?”, she turns around to see him just staring blankly into nothingness, “What the…?”, she mutters, walking over to him.

He appeared to be in a daze, his blood-red eyes looked glassy and vacant, his breathing was even and shallow like he was asleep, and his body's posture was completely relaxed; all of which weren't natural for the cursed man.

“Vincent?”, she sternly says, grabbing him by the shoulder and gives him a light push.

“Huh…? Wha…?”, he gasps, blinking as the glassy-vacant look left his eyes and his body took on a stance of ready to fight for his life, “What happened…?”

“You blanked out on me! What's wrong with you?”

A look of pure confusion takes over his features, “I don't know… I just don't know…”, he replies, `What is happening to me? Does it have anything to do with the approach of the lunar-eclipse?', he ponders.
