Once outside, Salira stops at the entrance of a large field. Irvine stops next to her, looking out at the front gate. "You positive you want to do this, Sal?" Salira nodded. She gripped the pendant of her necklace. "You okay?" Irvine asked. He didn't want her to go. Salira looked at him; "I'm fine." She heard footsteps coming toward them. Salira looked in the direction of the sound and drew her Buster Sword; "Shh…I hear something." Irvine listened; he couldn't hear anything but he drew his blade as well. Soon a shadowed figure came into view. Once Irvine saw it, he dashed at it. "Irvine, no!" Salira softly yelled, but it was too late. The figure quickly dodged Irvine's attack and held out his foot to trip him. Irvine fell down hard. The figure came up to Salira. "Gees. I just came over to say hi and this is my response? A death sentence? I thought you were nicer than that, Salira."

"You gave us quite a scare, Sicotto. Thought you were a wondering enemy. Sorry about that," Salira remarked, recognizing the voice.

"Gotta hand it to you, Sally. You got good hearing," Irvine said as he stood up and brushed off the dirt.

"So what's up? Besides Irvine thinking everything is a living, breakable target," Sicotto asked and teased.

"Hey! I don't think she's a target, nor do I think everything is…well maybe you," Irvine remarked.

"You better not be thinking I'm a target," Sicotto replied, "And the reason for you not thinking Salira's a target is because ya like her. You can't hid that fact, everyone knows."

"I do not! She's only a good friend, and I respect that. Nothing more," Irvine retaliated.

"We all know you like her, Irvine. Don't deny it. I mean come on, a lot of guys at this school like her. I can probably name more then twenty. Starting from the one who is most obsessed with her. I even got to admit that she is cute."

"That's nice to know, Sicotto. And I'm sure you're one of those guys who likes me. Probably in the top five with Irvine," Salira cutted in the argument, "But anyway, you sort of caught us at a bad time."

"What do you mean?" Sicotto asked, clueless.

"It's non of your concern," Irvine remarked.

"What do you mean `it's none of my concern'? I have the right to know, Irvine."

"So, it's just not your business to know this," Irvine stated. Salira just stood there and watched the two argue; not even bothering them, and thinking to herself. I'm sure he could know, in matter of fact Irvine might need some help on this…

"Tell me before I think you're nothing but a moving target," Sicotto continued.

"He could know as long as he doesn't tell, Irvine. Besides you might need some assisting," Salira remarked, cutting in this lovely argument.

"Know and don't tell about what? Am I missing something?" Sicotto asked.

"What? Sally, I'm in no need of an assistant. I can pull this off myself," Irvine remarked, not too happy of the fact Sicotto might be helping. "He'll spoil the whole thing. I should know, I share the same dormitory as him."

"I doubt he'll spoil it, Irvine. I've known him longer then I've known you, and I know he won't tell a soul," Salira stated.

"Spoil what?" Sicotto asked again.

"Fine I'll have him help me. Just get going. I'll explain this to Sicotto later!" Irvine said as he pushed Salira toward the front gate. He stopped and faced Sicotto, who was unsure of what was going on. Irvine whispered loud enough so Sicotto could hear, "She's leaving, so don't go telling anyone. I'll get into the details later." Salira walked to the gate and stopped. She turned to Sicotto and Irvine, "Remember don't tell anyone. Not even Lega or Raven." She whistled and a chocobo came soon after. Salira placed her sword on her back, while Sicotto ran up to her. "Why are you leaving?" he asked Salira as she climbed on the chocobo and grabbed the reins. "I really don't wish to say, Irvine should tell you though if he's going to explain this to you later. But what I will say is I'm heading to Midgar," Salira answered, "Promise me one thing…"

"What's that?" Sicotto asked.

"You two stop nagging at each other and become friends instead of semi-friends, okay?"

"Whatever, I'll try to get along. But, hey, you know Irvine. It will be hard."

"What are you guys talking about in which you're not including me in?" Irvine cutted in, though staying in the same spot he's been at.

"It's nothing, Irvine. Just saying goodbye," Salira responded.

"See ya soon, Salira. Hopefully that is," Sicotto remarked. He walked back to Irvine.

"Later, Sal!" Irvine called to Salira, though not to loud. Salira waved bye and pulled the reins to make the chocobo go. The chocobo responded by running out of the academy's boundary and into a forest. Sicotto and Irvine waited till Salira was out of sight before they began to walk back into the academy itself. "I hope she'll be okay," Irvine remarked, walking a tad bit slower then Sicotto. "Hey this is Salira we're talking about. She is Strife's kid, ya know," Sicotto replied. They continued to walk to the academy.

--

Raven walked around the academy's halls. He was looking for Salira, he had a question to ask her and wanted to find her before he forgot it. Raven soon saw Lega also walking in the halls. "Hey Lega! You haven't seen Salira, have you? I need to ask her something before I forget." Lega stopped to talk to him. "Awhile ago I saw her with Irvine heading to the training center," Lega replied, "I think they're still there. But, hey, I'm more worried about eating at the moment. I'm going to the snackbar. You want something from there?" "No thanks, Lega. Thanks though for the info," Raven said. He turned around and began to run to the training center outside. Lega, however, continued his on his way to the snackbar.

Raven slowed down after awhile and started to walk when he passed Irvine and Sicotto going the other direction. "Irvine!" he yelled, making Irvine and Sicotto stop. "Hey, Sicotto."

"Hey," Sicotto remarked.

"What's up?" Irvine asked.

"I'm looking for Salira, and I was told she was with you. I can see she's not with you at the moment. Any idea where she might be at?" Raven replied. Sicotto looked at Irvine and same with Raven.

"I haven't seen her. I just caught up with Irvine," Sicotto answered.

"I think she went back to her room. She doesn't want to be bothered, though. She's had a rough practice," Irvine stated. He and Sicotto began to walk back to their dormitories.

"Okay, thanks," Raven called after them. Something's up…normally Irvine and Sicotto never talk to each other like this. Raven took a hallway east of him and began to run down it to Salira's dormitory. Once he reached it, Raven knocked on Salira's door. "Hey, Salira. It's me Raven." There was no answer. That's odd. Why isn't she answering? He turned the doorknob. It was unlocked. Raven opened the door and saw the room had no one in it. Salira never leaves the door unlocked. He noticed her sword was gone and some pieces of paper on her desk. Wondering what could be on them, Raven walks over and picks the two pieces of paper and begins to read them. "Oh, shit! She's going to Midgar! No wonder Irvine and Sicotto weren't themselves." He opened the drawer to the desk and pulled out a small blank piece of paper and a pencil. Raven began writing a small note to Lega to leave in their room on what's going on. Quickly, he put the paper in his pocket and left the room, shutting the door behind him. Raven ran to his dorm and walked in. He put the piece of paper on Lega's bed and grabbed his blade under the bed. I hope Lega makes it in time. He then rushed out of his room and out of the academy to follow Salira.

Lega came in after a few minutes since Raven left. He noticed the paper on his bed and began to read it. "What the hell?" At that time someone knocked on the door. Lega quickly hid the paper and answered it. "Hey Lega! What's up?" the person said as Lega answered the door. Lega pulled the person in and threw him on the floor, shutting the door behind him. "Where the hell is she, Sicotto?"

"What do you mean?" asked Sicotto, though knowing by what he meant, as he stood up.

"You know what the fuck I mean!" Lega sneered. He was about ready to punch him.

"Wait how did you find out?"

"By this note," Lega responded and handed the letter, hidden under a pillow, to Sicotto, "And it has your name and Irvine's in it. I know Raven wouldn't be lying about this." Sicotto read the note and then looked at Lega.

"Listen I had nothing to do with this," Sicotto remarked.

"You know where she is! I think that has to do with this!" Lega replied. "Now tell me where the hell she is!"

"I believe it was Midgar. Where Salira lives," Sicotto stated.

"Listen, you tell a single person about this, besides to Irvine because I know he's involved in this as well, I will make sure you'll end up being target practice when I get back."

"Don't tell me that you're leaving too."

"What does it look like I'm doing, dumb ass?"

"You know if you, Raven, and Salira are missing; the headmaster will find out somehow."

"Well, it better not be you or Irvine that tells him where we're at. If it is you both will be targets. I'll make sure of it!"

"Okay! I get the damn point!" Sicotto sneered as he watched Lega leave and run down the halls with his sword in his hand. Sicotto left as well, shutting the door behind him.
