Where is she anyways? We've looked everywhere for her… where could Kuja be hiding her?
Zidane sighed and watched his friends with dull eyes. He tried not to cry. He tried really hard not to show his sadness…
Eiko walked over to Zidane and sat down next to him.
“Whatcha doin?” she asked.
“Nuthin…” Zidane muttered, his heart heavy. He missed Garnet so much…
“Then come and train with me and Amarant…”
“No thanks…” he muttered, looking at the empty wedding ring box in his palms.
“Well, then, at least eat something… you're looking pale…”
“No- I'm fine…”
Eiko sighed and stood up. She grabbed his face in her hands and shook his head.
“You… stop… worrying… Dagger… will… be… fine…”
And with that, she walked off to train some more.
Sure… Dagger will be fine… but will I be able to last that long until I can see her once again? Will I ever be able to kiss her once again? Does she even want to see me? Is she mad at me for taking so long…?
Zidane… I miss you so much… where are you? Are you hurt? Did you forget about me? Do you truly love me?
Tifa gave up trying to talk to the girl and sat down next to Cloud.
“It seems that love is taking a major dip in that girl's eyes…” Tifa said slowly. “I think that she might be on the verge of giving up on love…”
Cloud nodded. “This guy must be a real keeper though, she seems to think that he's going to save her…”
“Why wouldn't he? You would do the same for me… right?”
“Of course, Tifa…” Cloud said as he looked into her eyes. “I'm just saying that the guy doesn't even know where she is for crying out loud… How can she expect him to save her?”
Tifa just looked at the wedding ring on her finger. She was a little unsure about her decision…
But when Cloud pulled her closer to him, she knew that she was making a good decision.
Zidane sighed again, looking around the ship. Usually he would be having fun with his friends, but now…
He stood up and walked to the front of the ship. He stood right at the edge of it and looked down.
It would really hurt to fall…
Suddenly, a gust of wind knocked him back onto the ship.
A gust of wind from another ship.
A black mage jumped off of his ship and landed right in front of Zidane.
Zidane stood up quickly and reached into his pocket for his dagger…
It was gone!
He was left without a weapon.
He fell backwards and ran into Eiko.
“Need some help?” she asked, handing him his dagger.
He smiled and grabbed the weapon.
The mage advanced on them and he attacked.
Blood spurted out and Zidane felt a rush of adrenaline. He was in his element once again. He could fight back. He had control…
Unlike some other things…
