“Who are you? Identify yourselves!”, a woman's voice demands from the over side of the wreckage.
“My name is, Jessie”, Jessie replies, “We're friendly…”
“I don't believe you. The last time someone claimed that, they destroyed the truck and killed everyone they could find!”, the woman shouts, “You can't trick me, you followers of Sephanie!”
“Sephanie? We're not with that psycho-bitch!”, Zack yells.
A bullet flies past Zack's face, skimming his cheek.
“The last guy said the same thing!”, she exclaims, “And I killed him before he could kill me!”, she continues, shooting a bullet into one of the dead bodies; the only one with a gun-shot wound.
“Wait!”, Pixie screams, flying overhead and towards the wreckage.
“Huh…?”, they could hear the woman gasp, “Pixie…?”
“It's alright, their my friends…”, the robotic fairy replies.
“If you're here, it must mean that they're Ruvie's friends then…”, the woman states, “Oh, crap! That means I shot an ally!”, she shouts, rushing from behind the cover of the wreckage to survey the damage she had caused.
She looked to be in her early 20's with long butt-length mid-night black hair flowing unbound behind her, the sun-light making her reddish-brown eyes gleam in an array of reds and dark-oranges, she was wearing a simple crimson-colored peasant-style shirt with a pair of dark-grey capris and black heel-less shoes, and she wore a simple black-gem necklace on a sliver-chain around her neck, holding a gun in her hand. It was the famous singer; Yoko Kuro.
“I am so sorry! Are you alright?”, Yoko asks, running up to Vincent and crouches in front of him, causing the former Turk to look up at her and gasp.
The face Vincent found himself staring at had flawlessly smooth lightly sun-kissed peach skin, thin light pink lips that were slightly parted from her concern of his injuries, the bone structure underneath the skin allowed her to have an elegant; flawless, curve to her face, every feature of her face; from the shape of her eyes to her chin, was exactly the same as the woman he knew and loved 50 years ago.
`Lucrecia…?', he thinks, as blood-red eyes stared up into reddish-brown ones.
“Hey, I asked are you alight?”, she questions again.
“Uhh…”, he gasps, snapping out of his stupor, “Yeah, I'm fine…”, he nods.
“Are you sure? I mean, the bullet went straight through your shoulder…”, she adds, complete concern in her voice.
“Yeah…”, he mutters, standing back up and stops clutching his shoulder, “See?”, he states, rolling the shoulder to prove that there was no pain; any more since the wound had healed.
“Oh thank goodness…”, she sighs, “I'd feel completely guilty if the wound caused you to permanently lose the use…of…your…arm…”, she trails off as she suddenly starts to fall forward to the ground, only to be quickly caught by Vincent before she hit the ground.
“Holy crap! What happened to her?”, Zack shouts.
“She just suddenly passed out…”, Vincent replies, cradling the young woman in his arms.
“She's suffering from exposure…”, Pixie says, examining the unconscious Yoko, “Judging from the decompression of the corpses, she's been out here without proper shelter since last night…”
“If it's exposure, then we need to get her to a doctor soon”, Jessie states, having paid attention in health class despite getting a D- on her final.
“Jessie is right. We need to get to Kalm and a doctor as soon as possible!”, Nicole exclaims.
“I'll ride in back with her… Jessie you're driving, and get us their as fast as possible without almost killing us…”, Vincent orders, carrying Yoko as he made his way to the back of the `Shadow Fox', “You said so yourself, we need to hurry!”
“Uhh.. Right!”, Jessie gasps, snapping out of her shock and runs to climb into the driver's seat, turning the key in the ignition and causing the truck's engine to roar to life, “Zack! Nicole! Get your asses back into the truck!”
“Right!”, they shout, running back to the truck.
“Pixie!”, she yells, watching as the robotic fairy flies over to the wreckage, “What are you doing?”
“I'm grabbing Yoko's bag of stuff!”, she shouts back, flying back towards the truck carrying a black messenger-style bag weighed down by the contents inside of it.
“Well hurry up then!”
“Yeah, yeah…”, the robotic female mutters, as she flew into the back of the truck, the doors automatically shutting behind her.
Vincent had laid Yoko down flat on top of one of the benches in the back of the vehicle, his blood-red cloak draped over her like a blanket and he sat not far from her prone body to make sure she wouldn't fall off the bench in the bumpy ride to Kalm, while Zack and Nicole sat on the other bench across from Yoko and Vincent. Pixie could actually see the worry etched onto Vincent's face as he continued to look down upon the woman who had shot him through the shoulder, as she landed onto the bench beside Zack.
“From all the stories I had heard about Vincent, there was never a moment that mentioned that he actually had emotions on his face other than a stone-face…”, Zack whispers to Nicole and Pixie.
“Really…?”, Nicole asks, not knowing the stories.
“Ruvie had heard the same thing too…”, Pixie replies for her creator.

-Kalm-
-The Inn-
Yoko lays in one of the beds in the inn-room as a doctor examined her, “There is no need to worry. She's just suffering from mild-dehydration, a good-night of rest and plenty of fluids should have her back on her feet tomorrow”, the doctor says, putting his stethoscope back into his medical-bag.
“Thank you, doctor”, Jessie replies, bowing.
“There's no need to thank me. But if you had brought her in any later she would have been in serious danger”, the doctor adds, “She's extremely lucky”.
“We understand…”, Vincent says, sitting in a chair by the window, his eyes focused onto Yoko's sleeping form.
“Have a good day gentlemen and ladies”, the doctor bows, before walking out of the door.
“You too, doctor”, Nicole returns.
“So what do we do now?”, Zack asks.
“Uhh…”, Jessie began.
“Why don't you guys go into town and get yourselves something to eat, and see if you can pick up some information on Sephanie and some supplies for our trip…”, Vincent suggests, briefly glancing up at his teenaged and robotic traveling-companions.
“I agree with Vincent. And he's done this before, so it's a good idea”, Jessie says.
“What about you, Vincent?”, Nicole asks.
“I'll stay here and keep an eye on our guest…”, he replies, “Besides, I need to rest after the amount of healing I've had to do…”, he adds, referring to the gun-shot wound to his shoulder.
“Energy, huh? We'll be sure to get you something to eat!”, Zack states, “You do eat, right?”
“Of course I still do…”, Vincent coldly growls, narrowing his crimson-eyes, “I'm not a vampire…”
“Okay… sorry…”, the male sibling apologizes, with his hands up in a defensive position.
“Let's go, Zack!”, Nicole says, dragging the object of her affection out of the door.
“Take care Vincent!”, Jessie waves, as she follows her brother and friend through the door, “Hey, wait up for me!”, she shouts to them.
“I'm going to rest in the other room; I need to recharge my batteries…”, Pixie states, walking out of the room and down the hall.
`Amateurs…', Vincent sighs in his head, rolling his eyes, `But, they're all I got…', he thinks, as his eye-lids begin to droop, exhaustion from forcing his body to heal faster than it was used to finally catching up to him as he slowly drifted off to sleep in his chair.
-------------------
-An Hour Later-
Reddish-brown eyes slowly open, `Where am I?', Yoko mentally asks herself, as she blinks the sleep from her eyes and sits up. She looks around the room, which contained one bed; the same one she was laying on, a night-stand with a lamp on it, a single table sat in the middle of the room, a T.V. stand with T.V. sat across the room from the bed, and a chair sat beside the window occupied by a tall sleeping young man with long mid-night onyx hair.
`It's the young man I shot!', she gasps in her head, as she slowly climbs off of the bed; dragging a blanket with her, and walks over towards Vincent, `Him and his friends must have taken me to Kalm…', she thinks, recognizing the town through the window, `And he must have fallen asleep while watching over me…', she smiles to herself, as she drapes the blanket across his lap, then reaches forward to brush a stray hair from his face.
Suddenly, Vincent's hand shoots up and grabs her wrist, his blood-red eyes opening to glare at the young woman.
“I'm sorry… If I woke…you up…”, Yoko stutters, panic over taking her features.
“No… you didn't disturb my sleep…”, he replies, releasing her hand, “My nightmare woke me…”
“A nightmare…?”
“About the past…”
“Oh…”, she sighs, “My name is Yoko Kuro, and you are?”
“Vincent Valentine…”
“Pleased to make your acquaintance, Mr. Valentine”, she says, smiling as she extended her hand to him.
“Please, just call me Vincent…”, he replies, shaking her hand in greeting, `Her smile is the same as Lucrecia's, even the words she greeted me with was the same as hers; 50 years ago…', he thinks.
“I'd like to thank you for rescuing me from the desert…”, she says, sitting down onto the bed, “And, I'm sorry for shooting you…”
“It's alright… I've suffered worst gun-shot wounds…”, he states, `One even stole my life…', he mentally adds.
“Where is it…?”, she mutters, looking about the room.
“What are you looking for?”
“My bag…”, she answers, still glancing around.
“You mean…?”, he asks, picking up the bag from where it sat on the floor beside him.
“Yes, that's it!”, she exclaims, “Thank you…”, she says, taking the bag from him and sits back onto the bed removing her gun from the nightstand and pops out the empty-clip, only to put a full-clip in.
“You mean the bullet you shot me with was the third to last one in your gun?”, Vincent questions.
“Unfortunately, yes… But an empty gun was to lure the enemy into a false sense of security, and I would ambush them with a loaded gun”, she shrugs, tucking the weapon into the holster on her pants behind her back.
“I see…”, he replies, “Let's see how fast you are in drawing that gun…”, he states, his hand quickly descending towards his `Cerberus', only able to draw it half-way from the holster before he found himself staring up the barrel of Yoko's drawn gun.
“I'm as fast as I need to be…”, she retorts, clicking the safety back on her gun, before re-holstering the weapon.
“That takes practice to be able to do that…”
“I've had at least 6 years worth…”, she replies.
“I can tell…”, he says, right before his stomach began to growl, causing him to lightly blush.
“Sounds like you're hungry!”, she giggles, “Are your friends coming back with dinner?”
“They should…”
Just as he spoke, the three teens walked into the room carrying bags full of food.
“We're back!”, Zack announces, dumping his bag onto the table; it contained nothing but chips and candy, causing Vincent to raise an eyebrow at the teen.
`Junk-food, much?', Vincent thinks.
“Junk-food, much?”, Yoko says, “You may have a fast metabolism, doesn't mean the rest of us do…”, she adds, picking up one of the bags of chips by the corner.
“I said the same-thing, but does he listen to me? No, he buys it anyway…”, Jessie sighs, calmly removing a bag of assorted fruits and vegetables, and several containers of different sandwich-meats.
“We couldn't find any information on Sephanie”, Nicole says, as she pulls out a loaf of sliced-bread, sandwich condiments; mayo and mustard, a package of cheese, and assorted drinks; soda juice and water, from her bag of groceries.
“Leave it to the girls to be the responsible ones…”, Yoko mutters, grabbing an apple from the bag.
“Yoko, you're awake!”, Zack exclaims, noticing that the singer was up and moving around.
“Yeah, so?”, she questions, taking a bite from the apple, “I suppose you'll want an autograph, right?”
“Now is not the time to be indulging in personal preferences…”, Pixie states, flying into the room, “We have to discuss our next course of action for going after Sephanie”
“I agree, that woman is causing trouble… She attacked my van and killed my crew…”, Yoko says, gaining the attention of everyone in the room, “What? I owe her for ruining the concert and killing my crew…”
“So you're coming…?”, Vincent flatly asks.
“Hey, you already saw my skill. Besides, you're going to need all the help you can get in killing the bitch, because her father was definitely not a push-over…”.
“Paid attention in history, huh?”, Zack questions, shooting a glance at his sister.
“Hey!”, Jessie snaps, knowing what her brother was implying.
“You could say that, then again I was only one year old when Meteor-Impact happened”, she shrugs, “Also, I can aid in other things too…”, she says, walking over to Zack, touching his injured cheek, her hand glows with a golden-yellow light for a moment and when she removes her hand, the graze from when she shot at him had vanished.
“You can heal things…”, Nicole gasps.
“Not only that…”, Yoko adds, touching the apple in her hand, her hand glowing with a blackish-purple light and the surface of the apple crumples away from her touch; damaged, “I'd say, I'm more dangerous fighting bare-handed than when shooting with a gun…”, she states, touching the apple again with her hand glowing golden-yellow and the damage she had caused earlier vanishes as the apple regenerates even the bite she had taken from it.
“These abilities you have, how did you get them?”, Vincent asks, being cautious if the singer could be trusted.
“I've had them for as long as I can remember…”, she replies, glancing down at her hands, “I don't know where I got them, I think I might have been born with them”.
“Where is it you were born?”
“Hey! What's with the third-degree Vincent?”, Jessie protests.
“I was born in Midgar, I was an orphan during Meteor-Impact, where I was found and raised by Saiyuki Kuro for the past 20 years until she had gone to the Northern Cave and never returned… Why, do you ask?”
“Mako-exposure… That's what caused your powers…”, he mutters.
“Mrs. Kuro figured that as well…”, she sighs, “So can I come along?
“Sure…”, Vincent reluctantly replies.
“Come on, let's eat! I'm hungry!”, Zack whines.
“As thanks for saving me, I'll make the sandwiches for you guys! Just tell me what you want on yours!”, Yoko says.
`Just who or what is this young woman really?', Vincent pondered, as he watches Yoko start to put to together a ham and cheese sandwich for Zack.
