Chapter 1: Full moon; Lycan hunt
“Rikku, look out!” The young energetic girl yelled. Her short chocolate bouncing around as she leaped from column to collapsing column dodging whatever she was escaping from. The other girl, known as Rikku, looked towards the other girl's crying plea to only see a large gun pointed at her head.
“Yuffie, I need help,” Rikku screamed quickly turning her head around. Rikku's green swirl eyes were wide in fear aware that if she might make another sound the mysterious person might blow her head off. The girl with chocolate hair, Yuffie, only stood a half a mile away from the two warriors but was preoccupied with her matter.
“Rikku, umm, I think I'm busy at the moment, try on your own, gawds,” Yuffie yelled. A mysteriously fast swordsman was after her, and as Yuffie said, she was busy. “Hey buster, watch where you're swinging that thing!” But, as if the swordsman was deaf, he kept on attacking. “Ah!”
Rikku was stuck, she had no where to run, one shot and she would be dead, Rikku could tell this gunman was no amateur, “Just great, I get the tough one to fight, oh poopie!” Rikku complained.
A faint sound was heard, Rikku could tell it was the click of the gunman's gun ready and willing to fire. Just then an idea occurred in the young girl's head; she put her winning grin on and faced toward the gunslinger. The man she was fighting had no facial expressions he was only static. Slyly and quickly Rikku mixed a smoke bomb and a grenade together then threw it at the gunman and ducked away from the flash. The bomb hit the gunman before he could fire at Rikku.
“He, he, now I can have my dinner, you lycan scumbag,” Rikku frivolity exclaimed. Rikku's canine teeth grew sharper and three times its normal size, her hair fell loosely down and her green swirls of eyes became red swirls, and at this Rikku smiled.
Yuffie ran as fast as she could away from the swordsman assassin until she ran into the end of the path. “Ah, gawds, what else can go wrong?” Yuffie questioned shaking her head vigorously. She turned around to come face to face with the sword master. Well, technically not face to face, since he was taller then her and wore a face brace covering his mouth.
Yuffie smiled thinking quickly she pulled out a red gem looking material, “Shiva,” Yuffie commanded. The red gem glowed bright, making the swordsman provisionally blind, even when he wore sunglasses, appearing out of nowhere a beautiful maiden covered in ice and the skin of blue stood forth. The flash of red soon died down and the swordsman could see again.
“Diamond Dust now!!” Yuffie commanded again, the ice apparition listened to the holder of the gem and summoned blocks of ice, freezing the man in red. Shiva smiled and brought her right hand out and snapped leisurely breaking all the ice surrounding the man. Yuffie then dismissed the ice apparition and smirked, pulling out her conformer. She was about to attack the swordsman when Yuffie heard a crashing sound coming from her companion's origin.
“Yuffie,” Rikku yelled in pain. For, before she tried to bite him he had already shot her on her shoulder. The gunman had already recovered from the flash bomb and had already loaded another bullet in his gun by the time Rikku was done transforming into her true self.
Putting his gun into its holster, the gunslinger threw back his red cape with his right hand and revealed a golden… claw. “Fryd(what)?” Rikku bellowed amazed by the gunslingers supposed to be arm. The gunslinger then moved as fast as lightning and struck at the vulnerable blonde, drawing blood from her midsection, which caused Rikku to change back to her weaker human looking form.
Yuffie, not paying attention to the shivering swordsman, looked over to Rikku's direction to witness her getting pulverized by the, now, clawed armed man. Looking over towards the sword master, Yuffie dodged his ultimate attack, and jumped high into the air to where her friend was.
Still in the air, Yuffie brought out a green circular gem and transmitted a cure spell. The gunman stopped his all attack on the blonde and now watched the brown haired girl gracefully land in between the two fighters.
“Thanks a lot Yuffs,” Rikku exclaimed as she flipped up from the cold cement ground. Rikku and Yuffie both exchanged glances at each other and grinned.
“Rikku let's switch, I'll take gun-boy and you take the sword guy,” Yuffie announced eagerly, knowing that if Rikku fights the gun-lycan again she might not make it. Rikku agreed and leaped, the half a mile, to the awaiting swordsman.
There was a slight change in both lycan's eyes as they faced their new challenger. Yet so it began; the second round with Yuffie and the gunslinger, and Rikku with the sword master.
After the little rest the two vampires had, they were able to fight at their best again. “Let's go!” They both said in unison also transforming in their vampire form.
Transforming, Yuffie quickly changed her physical looks, she grown her hair to shoulder height also making it change from chocolate brown, to black with blue tints. Her grayish eyes became more reddish and Yuffie grew a little taller. While Rikku transformed into the same way she did with the gunslinger, only one difference occurred, her hair now fully was out of her ponytail. Both now looking more mature and more deadly, they began to battle.
The lycan Yuffie was facing only stared at her in dismay, he was not impressed. Yuffie pouted inwardly, yet also hoping this lycan was more fun than the swordsman was. “Hey lycan, do you want to play a game?” Only silence was her answer. Yuffie took this as a yes.
“The game goes like this, whoever falls off the pillars first gets to be the others din-din,” Yuffie shouted excitedly. The gunman only stared at her in his usual expression, blank. Yuffie also took this as an agreement, “Okay let's go!” She yelled as she jumped to one of the frail pillars.
The cloaked gunman shook his head and gave in to the vampire's game. He too jumped and followed the hyperactive vampire. Yuffie looked behind her to see the gunslinger quickly catch up with good agile movements, matching her owns. Yuffie grinned, knowing that she had a worthy adversary.
“Hey lycan, catch this!” Yuffie yelled as she disappeared into the darkness of the shadows. The lycan stopped, somersaulting in midair, and tried to sense where the ninja vampire was. Closing his blood colored eyes he quickly figured out where she was hiding, looking in the direction where she was, he saw a large shuriken heading towards his way. Quickly pulling his gun out from the holster, he shot it out of proportion making it land on the ground.
“Nyuk, nyuk, nyuk,” Yuffie laughed. Even if she was now unarmed she still had tricks up her sleeve. Aiming for the ninja vampire again, the lycan shot bringing Yuffie back to reality. Hurriedly, Yuffie brought out a green gem and called forth a barrier. Sighing that the bullet was only a fraction of a second late, she glared daggers at her lycan foe. “You almost killed me!” Yuffie hysterically yelled at the lycan.
Jumping into the air she brought out another green gem, this time casting a magic spell. “Waterga,” commanded Yuffie, water came crashing down at the spot where the lycan should have been, making the magic hit the weak pillar, at the place where she was supposed to land. Falling, Yuffie awaited the soft ground, but felt nothing for she was being held up from the ground by her enemy.
“Ah!” Yuffie screeched not wanting to lose or fall on her butt. Looking up into her savior's eyes, Yuffie grinned, her famous grin and pulled herself up. Taking the advantage she roundhouse kicked the lycan, making him flip onto the other side of their surrounding, his red cape following.
“Thanks for saving me back there or I would have been a lycan munchie,” Yuffie laughed, making the lycan regret what he'd done. “But don't worry, I won't be that nice to you,” She winked.
“I don't count on it,” The lycan calmly said. Shocked, Yuffie stared at him wide eyed, and then eyed him funnily.
“And here I thought ya didn't have a voice,” Yuffie replied in a smart-aleck tone. Aiming his gun right at the ninja vampire again he shot, only for it to be missed again. Unlike the other lycan, this lycan never missed his target, but for him to miss a target like her it was a disgrace to even him.
Yuffie quickly advanced towards the lycan ready to tackle him, but right before she could touch him, he quickly dodged. “Huh?” Yuffie questioned, diving strait toward the ground.
=CRASH=
“Heh, it seems like it's only you and me, Red,” The blonde vampire smirked taking a liking to the name. The swordsman eyed her suspiciously, the girl seemed harmless since he had a sword and she had only a claw, but she might have some tricks like the other vampire had. Even if the vampire wasn't well equipped he learned never to underestimate his adversaries.
Rikku turned around to see that Yuffie and the gunslinger had already took off in the distance, and pouting inwardly. “Well since they're off to who knows where, we have this whole crumbly section to ourselves, why don't we move somewhere else, these rocks are hurting my feet,” Rikku complained. The swordsman looked at her as if she was mad though his sunglasses.
Jumping, Rikku landed on a stable pillar and started to rub her feet. “Owchie,” Rikku pouted. The swordsman pried his sword off of his right shoulder and sited it into the gravel. His red jacket swayed in the wind as he stood in his place looking at the girl he was supposed to be fighting.
The lycan frowned, and looked toward where the full moon was supposed to be. The full moon had been covered by thick grey clouds for quite a while, making him and his partner vulnerable to the two female vampires. Pushing his dark shades up to the bridge of his nose, he looked towards the blonde vampire to see her standing still, thumping her foot impatiently waiting for him to make a move. The lycan noted that her shoes where cast aside so he could use that for an advantage.
The lycan lifted up his sword again and was positioned in a fighting stance. Rikku looked giddily at the man, flexing her hands ready to claw him. Even if he carried a powerful weapon, Rikku knew she had the upper hand for she had her speed and reflexes.
Hopping down onto a flat rock, she smiled, “Ready, `cause I am sure as heck know I am.” Reaching into her black pouch, on her thigh, she pulled a grenade out and threw it hurriedly at the lycan causing an abrupt explosion. Blocking most of the damage, the lycan jumped to where the vampire was and slashed her at the torso.
Rikku fell off the rock and landed into a puddle of water, “Owchie,” the swordsman then pointed his sword at the girl's demonic face cornering her. Rikku's red swirls verified little fear and anxiety yet only to be covered up with confidence. Picking herself up with a little difficulty she selected from her pouch a cure item and threw it at herself, causing her whole body to recover again.
The lycan swung again, only to miss the vampire barely. Dodging the powerful blow, Rikku swerved behind the masculine lycan to scratch him with her less powerful claw, and yet it was effective. Rikku heard a low grunt come from the lycan followed by the swoosh sound of his sword. Rikku yet again collected damage from his sword.
“Vilg(Fuck),” Rikku coughed in her native language, blood was everywhere, this time the lycan slashed her neck, barely killing her. Falling back, Rikku changed into her weaker state, making the lycan smirk in triumph.
Yuffie cursed changing into her human like self, knowing that she lost to the red cloaked lycan. “It was luck,” Yuffie stated, still not excepting defeat. The lycan above her stared, Yuffie was lain down on the soft ground backside down and the lycan was standing above her awaiting her next move.
Surly, the lycan wouldn't feed on Yuffie, would he? Yuffie thought to herself for a moment on how to try and to wiggle herself out of the predicament she got herself into. The lycan slowly started to bend down to claim his prize he fought so hard to acquire.
((The greatest ninja-vampire in the whole world is being claimed for as a prize, I think not!)) Yuffie thought to herself. Before she could move or get away, her green turtleneck tube-top was ripped across the neckline and shoulder by the lycan. Yuffie gasped in shock, ((He really is going to feed on me!)) Yuffie screeched. The lycan's black long raven hair spilled over the Wutainese Vampire's face as he bent lower and lower.
Yuffie closed her eyes as she felt the lycan's teeth brush against her slender pale neck, but just before he bit into Yuffie's neck he grazed her skin with his tongue. ((Holy Chocobos!!! Is he licking me? Grossness!!!!!)) Yuffie screamed in her head.
Finally it was the moment she was waiting for, the cloaked lycan bit into her skin drawing her precious blood out. Tears streaked down the ninja vampire's face, if she knew feeding hurt this much, she might have had some sympathy for the humans she sucked dry before. Opening her grayish eyes in pain, she spotted what she didn't ever want to see at the moment in time, the full moon was out in the open.
Rikku was weak, she couldn't do anything and all she could do was look at the lycan. She knew what was coming next; he would kill her, that's what was next. But no, Rikku had to have an optimistic mind and Rikku didn't believe this was the end.
Surprisingly the lycan didn't bash his sword into the young vampire, but instead he placed his heavy sword down and picked up the frail bleeding girl. He looked down at her and nodded. She was wet and all the blood caused from his attack was all over the girl, making him hungry.
Rikku's green swirls tried to distinguish what he was thinking but couldn't read him at all, for his sunglasses was in the way of his eyes… or eye. Weakly, Rikku could tell that the lycan had been in a bad battle seeing that he had scars all over himself. There was a large scar right eye and she could tell earlier that the lycan had a bad wound on his left arm also.
Rikku reached her hands up to the lycan's masked face. She slowly discarded the fabric and tossed it aside. The lycan looked at the blonde haired vampire in confusion, but Rikku didn't care. Something took over Rikku, something like lust for blood, she didn't know but she also couldn't help herself.
Slowly Rikku raised her head and brought it to the elder's exposed neck also transforming in the process. Rikku's teeth grew out and began to nibble on his neck, the lycan knew what she was doing but didn't know why he was allowing himself to let her force herself on him. He could just let her die, leave her, just walk off, but somehow he couldn't.
Rikku bit, making the older lycan to huff, she was really hungry, and all she could think about was blood. Regaining her strength again, Rikku gripped the lycan's shoulders to gain more leverage, she was in true bliss. The lycan swore inside for he knew what would happen next, looking up to the sky, he found he was a hundred percent correct.
The swordsman pried Rikku off him, Rikku only looked dazed at him, missing his warm blood already. Lifting her head up, she quickly saw why he had done what he did. The full moon was in plain view. Still weak from the pleasure she attained she could barely move on her own, Rikku knew if she was in trouble, Yuffie was in trouble.
The lycan whom she was feeding on turned away from her, sparing her his transformation. And using most of the strength she absorbed from the sword master, Rikku yelled to her companion, who was extraordinarily far off in the distance. “Yuffers, code seven!”
*
Yuffie saw the pearl moon and was in total fear that he would transform while feeding on her. ((No, I can't be eaten alive by a fur-man! I need my conformer…)) Yuffie thought inwardly.Reaching for her weapon, which was close by, the lycan sensed her movement and brought her hand up with his good hand. ((NO, my last hope… I'm screwed, and yes I should have paid more respect towards Leviathan and Godo, who am I kidding, I'm not even a good hunter, seeing as if my prey is feeding on me! Damn you Lycans!)) Yuffie whined trying to wiggle herself free.
The cloaked lycan finally opened his mouth from the vampire's neck and gave a dark debonair howl, and then she knew, she was going to be the fur ball's din-din as planned.
“Yuffers, code seven!” Yuffie heard in the distance picking up it was Rikku's distressed voice.
((Yeah, I can kind of tell, I mean he's transforming right on top of me, gawds!)) Yuffie criticized back.
