Heart’s Desires

By J’dee, Mabelle & Tobias

Automatic Disclaimer: We do not own the rights to the following anime series, video games, or any other referenced copy righted material. This is a work is with delusions of grandeur. This will never, ever happen in our lives (damn it) and this basically is a dream we want to share with you.

Toby’s Note: This story is in the same vain as the Ain’t Nothing But Magic series (also located here on Mediaminer.org). It is a shameless self insert that I wanted to write. J’dee has the ANBM series, Belle had The Key, and this is mine.

I hope you enjoy.

Belle’s Note: I’ve known Toby and J’dee for over 10 years, we’ve been writing fanfiction with each other for the majority of those years. Most of the social interactions between us are actually based on real interactions…except the parts with fictional characters.

J’dee’s Note: when I wrote my piece for this chapter I was on a DC kick... But loosing what I'd written on said chapter when my laptop died, then add moving countries, twice within one country, it tends to dry up your source material. Whatever happens, happens. I have no clue what I'm doing. o.0

Chapter 1: “Lonely Day” (By System of a Down)

Everyone has a moment in their life when they can’t see it getting any better. A time when they hit bottom so hard, all they can see in the bottom. We wonder what we did wrong, what we did to deserve this, and why oh why must we go through this.

Eventually, we find a way to drag ourselves up. We force ourselves to stand at the bottom, tend to our wounds, and start the long and usually difficult climb back up. Some times we only get half way back to where we once were, others reach heights they had never even dreamed of.

But some people have trouble getting back up. Some of them just need a push, others need to be carried up a bit, and others still need to be carried to where they once were before starting over again.

And sadly a rare few never, ever can find the courage or strength to get back on their feet. They lay on the bottom, unable to look up ever again.

Don’t feel angry at these people. Some never learned how to get back up. Some know but don’t care.

And some feel they should stay there. Rotting at the bottom like they deserve, taking everything they have with them. These poor people drive away loved ones, friends, co-workers, anyone just to keep them from joining them at the bottom. They never climb out and some even do the unthinkable. Its sad, heartbreaking and some days it seems like nothing but a miracle can help them.

But some times, miracles happen.

Tobias “Toby” Fiften once had a life that he would often say was “Not perfect but it makes me smile.” He was an up and coming engineer slash manager who had the respect of most of his co-workers and was able to meet the needs of even the most demanding clients. Tobias hardly ever had to lay down the law with his subordinates, rewarded good work with the praise it deserved and helped those who struggled. Always one to focus first on what was wrong and how to fix it, rather than who made a mistake and take it out on them. He was a manager others wanted and he was good friends with the owner’s son. He was in all the right places at the right times. He was young (24), bright and you couldn’t help but like him.

His immediate boss however was not a man you wanted as a supervisor. While a talented engineer and designer in his own right, Tobias’s boss was a bitter, hateful little man. He was quick to judge, quick to accuse, paranoid, and above all, a bully. He had no tolerance for others who life styles did not conform to what he saw as normal. Tobias, while an excellent employee, was also a proud gamer and anime otaku. He loved video games, playing table top games with his friends, and attending conventions. He knew his co-workers laughed and said he was childish some times but he usually laughed with them. Most of them came to accept it (after all who doesn’t have quirk or two?) but one did not.

Using his influence as his supervisor, Tobias’s boss did what he could to make his life miserable. When a client wanted a multi-level rec center design for a local charity, it was Tobias who got the assignment. It was Tobias who proudly designed it from scratch. It was Tobias whose name was on the engineering blue prints. It was Tobias who helped over see construction. It was Tobias who was there to stand proudly by the company’s owner as the client cut the ribbon at the grand opening.

It was Tobias’s supervisor who secretly changed the prints calling for a lesser grade of inferior steel in the main supports of the building. It was Tobias’s supervisor who kept Tobias so busy during construction that he was unable to double-check the bill of materials.

It was Tobias who vomited into a waste can when the building collapsed during a heavy snowfall that year. In full, seventy-six people, over half children, were killed. It was Tobias who was calmly resigned from company he worked at, taking all the blame for the accident. The lawsuits were firmly set against Tobias. His liquid assets taken in a frenzy, followed shortly by most of his material possession and his engineering license was revoked. It was only testimony from his former employer that kept criminal charges from being filed. It was Tobias who’s parents and grandparents who died in a car accident to visit him. It was Tobias who had to sell his grandparents homes to pay for the funerals and left over bills. It was Tobias who moved into his parent’s homes to find their dogs and cat dead from a gas leak.

It was Tobias who began to drink as his friends left him, only two believing his innocent claims over his luck.

It was Tobias Fiften who was staring at his father’s old 9mm handgun on the living room table one April afternoon.

Through it all she had remained a polite friendly person; J'dee had lost quite a bit in her lifetime. She lost her best friend, her second mother, both her grandfather's, a great aunt, a great uncle and even her own mother to everything random under the sun. From the likes of Lupus to a broken heart, Alchemizer's and even the big C.

What she wasn't expecting to lose was half of her home city places she went on a weekly basis to an earthquake that put her city in a state of emergency with curfews in place and people racing to the airport to leave. The first quake had been in the middle of the night and the city closed for two days max the second one hit and she lost one of her jobs and relocated for another, but the aftershocks kept coming. She lost more and more sleep. She moved to Australia for a little bit but when Belle offered her a place to stay she gladly moved there without a second thought.
All she was waiting on was her cat being shipped over the tabby girl was her life her baby she hated leaving her behind. She had only moved recently and was glad for the move she had been worried about Toby. But being in another country didn't seem to help to much. She had been through it all from the moment she was born till this moment and she hated how he was slowly and surely trying to cut them out as if the pain of loosing someone else wasn't going to hurt her.

~*~*~

Belle Brooks was angry and frustrated. It was a hard state for her to be in since she was naturally a very easy going and happy individual. Sadly, two of her closest friends were in extensive emotional pain and the two idiots were as good with emotional pain as a hypochondriac is with a cough. So Belle was watching them suffer and nothing she was doing seemed to lessen their pain in any way.
J’dee was depressed. Belle couldn’t blame her, Belle had never lost as much as J’dee in as short amount of time. It was frustrating trying to keep J’dee thinking about the good in her life. It made Belle frustrated that everything she tried was failing. She cooked J’dee’s favorite foods, J’dee would sigh about her mother, Belle would take J’dee out to restaurants, J’dee would get quiet and mention Cazz, Belle would take J’dee on walks through the town, J’dee would whisper about areas of her home that were completely destroyed. Nothing Belle did could pull J’dee off her sorrowful journey. Belle wanted to pound her own head into a brick wall to make the frustration go away.
Toby was another story. Belle had known a couple of suicidal people in her life. She helped J’dee through that time and she had walked another individual away from the edge a couple of times until that individual had placed her emotional problems at Belle’s feet. Belle had tried but she supposed that if that person wanted to blame Belle for her problems and live, it was better than if she wanted to be friends and still die. The situation had confused Belle, but she had dealt with it as best she could. However, with Toby, she was getting mad. Toby and she had that type of relationship where while they were friends, it took them all of four point two seconds to make the other so frustrated they wanted to strangle the other. If Toby really wanted to die, Belle was going to strangle him. She knew CPR, she could bring him back, and then strangle him again for this.
She was frustrated with J’dee and furious at Toby, but neither state would help her friends and while they were driving her insane, she still loved them dearly. A state she was starting to question as the phone was again unanswered at Toby’s house. Of course it was well into the day and with his new drinking problem, Toby might not even hear the phone anymore. Belle pulled up the suicide watch website and started making a plan. She was going insane between J’dee and Toby, she loved them both, and she wasn’t capable of handling the suicide watch alone. She could help J’dee, once she wasn’t worried about Toby.

~*~*~

Tobias couldn’t pull his eyes from the gun. It lay there on the table, afternoon sun shining on it. It seemed so sinister despite the bright sunshine. Tobias lifted his bottle of bourbon and took a long swallow, never pulling his eyes from the gun. He wanted to use it, use it now. Put the barrel in his mouth and pull the trigger.

But he had to wait. Tomorrow he had to see his lawyer to finalize his will. He didn’t have much left, just his parent’s house and an old beat up car that barely ran in the drive way. His father’s ’67 Dodge Charger was partially restored in the garage under thick tarp. He wanted to make sure Belle and J’dee got everything, not some hungry vultures still waiting to pick his flesh clean. The lawsuits were all settled but that still didn’t mean they weren’t out there, waiting, circling.

Tobias winced at the thought and reached for the gun. He picked it up and walked to the desk in the corner of the living room. He opened the top drawer and dropped it in. He slammed the desk shut and locked it. Tomorrow, it would all end tomorrow. The thought perked up Tobias a bit and he staggered out of the living room. He absently finished off the last of his bottle before dropping it un-caringly to the floor to join the litter and trash of the once neat home.

Tobias had once been a clean, well groomed man. He had his home clean, claiming he did not like to play the game “What am I stepping in?”

Now he had a month’s worth of facial hair. He hadn’t showered in days nor changed his clothes. He stank of booze and his own filth. His parent’s home was littered with trash and full packing boxes. Nothing had been clean or dusted since he moved in. If he continued to live like this he would suck away his parent’s savings away in more than a month.

Tobias snorted as he reached into the cabinet for another bottle of bourbon. Not that he needed to worry about…

~*~*~

J'dee stood outside Toby's door as Belle grabbed the spare key form his secret hiding place. They hadn't heard from him in a week and inside she felt that he needed to be checked on. She watched as Belle unlocked the door and the stench that wafted out made J'dee cover her nose before she gagged. It was like something was festering in there. The one thing J'dee cared about the most because of her asthma was an open window and fresh clean air no matter how cold to circulate and air the place out.

“Oh Toby...” She sighed and walked inside picking up garbage from the hallway. She piled the rubbish into a corner and looked round for a black rubbish bag. She began pulling the curtains open in the house and opening up a couple of windows. “Air freshener... air freshener...” She rummaged through his hallway cupboard and pulled out a can and shook it. It was half full and she started to spray the hallway.“I'm going to find Toby.” Belle stated heading into one of the rooms.“If he's buried under his own vomit I'm not helping you clean that.” J'dee stated.“We're friends, J'dee.” Belle picked up a bucket and J'dee raised a brow. “I'm not even going to ask.” J'dee stated.

~*~*~

Being a teacher gave Belle the experience to identify the deep scent of unwashed human and she was in no mood to deal with a filth-covered Toby. She headed into the bathroom and ran the cold water. It wasn’t as frigid as she would like to use, but it would be an excellent wake up call. As she looked at the bathroom she was disgusted. Obviously this was not a well-used room. She used a foot to flush the toilet because if J’dee saw that, she would probably vomit and that would make Belle vomit. The bottle of alcohol on the floor spoke plainly about how far gone Toby was in his depression.
The bucket was filled and Belle grabbed it and began moving to Toby’s room. It was sad to see the house in such a state. When his parents had died, Belle and J’dee had helped him move into the house. Belle had buried the pets in the backyard and had spent a weekend making little crosses with their names burned into the wood. J’dee had helped to pack up some of the little things that were clearly too heartbreaking for Toby to be around. They had worked so hard to make the house livable for Toby, but that clearly hadn’t worked.
Belle entered the bedroom and felt her rage and sorrow cyclone inside of her. The floor was covered in bottles, most were empty but some were clearly forgotten once he passed out. Toby lay on top of the covers, fully dressed, and his shirt was yellowed from days of wear. He had a full beard and the bags under his eyes spoke of blackouts replacing restful sleep.
She wanted to break down and cry. Weep for Toby’s pain and J’dee’s pain and her own helplessness. She wished she had someone to hold her and tell her it would be alright but she didn’t, she had to be a rock for two people who were clearly suffering from the turmoil of their lives. Belle looked down on Toby, his stench was awful, and Belle was thankful she had contacted the suicide prevention organization. She tossed the water into the air and watched as it arched over Toby.

~*~*~

Tobias came awake just as Belle dumped the bucket of water on him. It hit him as he tried to take it a lungful of air. He choked and sputtered, turning over on his bed to hack and cough. His head was throbbing, gleefully informing him that his hangover was shaping up to be with him all day or until he chased it away with a bottle of Jack.

“Rise and shine, it’s your Saturday wake up call.” J’dee said cheerfully. She was spraying a can of air freshener around the bedroom like she could banish the filth with it.

“Saturday?” Tobias croaked. He blinked hard and groped at the nightstand to yank down the alarm clock. Sure enough, he drank the rest of Friday away and the alarm was proudly flashing the time as 8:32 am, Sat. Tobias absently dropped the clock to the floor to grope for his sun glasses. He found them on the floor and slid them on.

“You look like shit, Toby.” Belle said bluntly. Tobias grunted and worked himself off the bed. Unfortunately he also slid to heap on the floor next to it.

“I-” Tobias coughed. His throat felt raw and his lips were parched. He tried again. “I was going to get clean up today. I have to meet Mr. Johnson at 11 this morning to sign the last of the papers. You got me up an hour before my alarm was set to go off.”

“Well that explains why you have some clothes folded neatly on the dresser.” Belle noted looking around absently. Tobias followed her gaze to his parent’s dresser. There was a suit neatly pressed and folded there but it wasn’t for the meeting. He had left those out so Belle and J’dee would find something to bury him with ease.

“What do you want?” Tobias grumbled pulling himself to his feet. He swayed a bit as his headache began to pound instead of just throb. God he need a drink.

“We wanted you to come have breakfast with us.” J’dee said cheerfully. Tobias eyed her a bit, and noted she had used up the can of air freshener.

“Plus meet someone.” Belle added ignoring the glare J’dee shot her.

“And who would that be?” Tobias asked, moving on shaky legs past them and out the bedroom. He winced as he headed down the hall. It was brighter in here than the bedroom.

“Well I didn’t want to tell you but since Belle here would feel bad if we just took you I suppose I can let you in on it.” J’dee said, following him with Belle in tow. “He’s a therapist.”

“He said that honesty is the best policy and he didn’t run interventions,” Belle stated.

Tobias paused before continuing on to the bathroom.

“No.” He said before entering the bathroom. He slammed the door shut and locked it. He yanked open the filing cabinet to find a bottle of aspirin. He dry swallowed six before turning on the shower.

He had to look presentable if he wanted Bob Johnson and his secretary to sign and witness the papers.

~*~*~
J'dee shot the door a glare. “How did I know that was going to be his reaction?”“Because it was yours back in the day.” Belle teased.J'dee pulled her waist length red hair over her shoulder and examined the tips with a sigh. “Guess I had that one coming.” She pulled out a packet of cigarettes and saw the look Belle gave her. “I'm cutting back I haven't had my morning smoke yet.”She followed Belle to the front door. J'dee saw the letter box had the little red flag up and she jogged up to it. Opening it up she blinked seeing a suicide prevention hotline card.
“How come when I was suicidal none of these appeared in my mailbox?” J'dee asked.Belle took the card from her.
“Because no one knew you were suicidal. I can just smell it on him.”
J'dee nodded it was the only thing she managed to hide well behind the smiles and jokes was that she had spent eleven years battling depression by herself with three separate shrinks and two attempts of suicide and no-one had been any wiser. But those days were a long time ago and J'dee flicked her hair over her shoulder, shrinks hadn't helped her at all. Everything she had done to pull her out of her slump had been friends, family, music and art throwing herself into something she loved the most something to lift the feelings in her heart. This world wasn't a bad thing and that things happened for a reason and everything was a test of endurance and mental strength for those evolved. Those with weak hearts gave up. She was sure Toby didn't have a weak heart.“Are you sure that was the suicide you were smelling?” J'dee quipped earning a look.
~*~*~

“Changes in behavior are a definite warning sign for suicide. The website had a list and he meets a lot of the symptoms,” Belle sighed as she took the card. It looked legit, the phone number was a local area code. She stared at the card and felt hope. “This didn’t appear magically, J’dee. Someone else has noticed the same thing we have. Toby has more friends than he realizes. Let’s make sure he knows it.” Belle opened her purse and pulled out some masking tape, a small pad of paper, and a pen. She quickly began to write a note.
“You had masking tape in there. Do I want to know why?” J’dee asked and Belle smiled.
“I had it on my wrist when I left work yesterday, I had been posting work on my classroom wall. I put it in the purse to remember to bring it back to my room,” Belle said as she went to Toby’s door, ripping a few small pieces of tape, sticking the note to the card, before sticking it to the door. “I hope he realizes how many people care about him.”
“He’s not a weak person, Belle, he wouldn’t do that to us. Not if he doesn’t want us chasing him down in the next life,” J’dee grinned and Belle smiled.
“I don’t know if I could forgive him, J’dee,” Belle confessed. “If he did that…I’m Catholic, suicides go to Hell.” J’dee nodded.
“Raised Catholic, remember?” J’dee asked and Belle nodded.
“Always, witch,” she said and J’dee nodded as they headed to the car.
“Don’t ever forget I’m a powerful one too,” she said.

~*~*~

Tobias’s car barely made it down the driveway toward the house. He didn’t so much as shut it off as letting it die on him by the garage. He got out of the rust bucket and wearily made his way up the path. Finally, it was all done. Mr. Johnson would get the papers notarized and they would be lawfully binding. Tobias felt his heart pounding in his chest as he reached his front door. It just minutes it would all be over. As he fished his house keys out his eye caught something taped to his front door. He snatched it down and read.

Toby,

We found this in today’s mail and taped it to the front door. We’re not the only ones worried about you, Please call; we really are worried about you.

Always your friends,
Belle and J’dee

Tobias shoved the note into his pants pocket before reading the business card.

Goddess Help Line
“When Only a Goddess Can Help”
1-800-YOR-WISH

“Oh that’s original.” Tobias muttered. He let himself inside, staring absently at the card. He glanced at the desk that contained his father’s gun and saw the cordless phone was still sitting there, a layer of dust on it. He made his way to the desk, his keys in one hand, and the card in the other. He glanced between them and the card.

“Oh what the hell.” Tobias snapped. He dropped his keys on the desk and picked up the phone. He began to dial.

~*~*~

“J'dee away from the oven. Now.” Belle warned.“But it's just lamb sausages.” J'dee complained.Belle pointed and J'dee let out a breath. “Fine but just so you know I can cook... these days I'm not freaken Gojyo in the kitchen.”“Go...” Belle repeated and pointed.“Fine I'll go have a shower and wash that filth from Toby's house from me.” J'dee grabbed a couple of towels from her clean washing pile heading into her room and then moving to the en-suite turning the shower on. She dumped her clothes in the basket she would be using twice the amount of fragranced fabric softener of this load. She let the warm water roll over her skin as she stepped under the shower.

~*~*~

Belle finished cooking the sausages and put them in the oven to keep them warm when J’dee finished her shower. She sighed as she headed over to the television, flicking on her X-box. Belle put in Mass Effect and continued trying to get the insanity achievement. It was not going well.
She sighed as she selected her usual crew, Kaidan and Garrus. It was nice to escape into the games for a few hours. J’dee would complain Belle spent too much time gaming, but it was the only form of escape Belle had lately. There was work, J’dee, and Toby, and very little else. It was hard and it was nice to escape into a fake world now and again. Hell, Shepard got to flirt more than Belle had lately. She sighed again as she tried not to die within the first six seconds of this mission…again.

~*~*~

It rang twice before some one picked up.

“Hello, Goddess Assistance Agency, Belldandy speaking, how may I help you today?” A woman’s voice asked. Tobias blinked a bit as a feeling of deja-vu washed over him.

“Yes, my friends gave me this card. They wanted me to call so…” Tobias trailed off.

“I will visit you for your consultation.” She said and the phone hung up with a click. Tobias took the phone away from his ear to stare at it. A suicide prevention hotline had hung up on him?

“I guess my counseling session is up.” Tobias muttered. He moved to hang it up when the small mirror on the living room wall began to glow. Tobias jerked in shock, dropping the phone. He watched in shock as the glass filled the room with an unnatural light, even in the afternoon sun. A figure slowly emerged from the glowing rectangle. She had long brown hair, bright blue eyes and pretty smile. Her creamy white skin seemed to shine, and she was dressed in a blue dress of some sort. She wore bright gold jewelry and had a bright blue diamond on her forehead. She dusted herself off and looked around the room, before settling her gaze on Toby. She smiled softly.

“Hello I’m the goddess Belldandy! How may I grant your wish?” she chirped. Tobias started at her in shock. He recognized her now but she was an anime character. Made up, not real, fiction, imaginary, as in she should be standing right fucking there!

“Y-you’re real?” Tobias squeaked in a very un-manly way.

“Of course! I come here to grant wishes to people who are having difficulties. I can grant you one wish, anything you want at all.” She reassured him. Tobias blinked as it began to sink in. Maybe he’d finally lost it or this was really happening but what could it hurt? A wish, any wish. Belle & J’dee had done this for him some how then he needed to do something for them. On the other hand if she was like the anime it had to be for him. He’d have to word it carefully.

“Okay.” Tobias said. He sat down on the couch to think.” Okay just let me think.”

Belldandy smiled reassuringly and glanced about again. She wrinkled her nose in disgust and waved her hand at a filth covered recliner. It was clean in an instant and she sat down in it gracefully. Tobias blinked and couldn’t help feeling the awe (and faint hope) that this might be really happening. Then it hit him like a bolt. He knew exactly what to wish for. He would no longer be here to be a burden to anyone and his friends would be happy.

“I know.” He declared. Belldandy clapped her hands with joy.

“Very good sir, how may I help you?!”

“I wish for the heart’s desires of me and my closest friends Belle & J’dee to be granted.” Tobias declared. Belldandy seemed taken aback for a moment before smiling.

“A very noble wish sir! And perfectly worded too!” Belldandy said. She cupped her hands before her, closing her eyes in concentration. A wind stirred through the living room as her diamond lit up. After a few moments the glow faded and she opened her eyes.

“Your wish has been granted sir! Please remember that I will visit again in one year to check to see if it is as you wished! If not I will recall the wish. Have a good day and congratulations!” Belldandy chirped. Before Tobias could reply she vanished in a bright light. Tobias was about the scream something about still being alive when another flash came from above him. Tobias gave a startled shout before he dove off the couch. He barely made it before some one crashed into the couch. Tobias couldn’t help but stare at them.

She had short brown hair, was wearing a tight white shirt with a symbol on the front. She was wearing a pair of tight shorts with a long blue skirt on one side. She had strapped to her sides two large handguns. She sat up with a groan and as she opened her eyes her saw one was blue and the other was green. When she saw him staring at her she snatched a gun from her side and pointed at his face.

“Who the hell are you and how did I get here?!” Yuna demanded.

~*~*~

“God damn mercs,” Belle swore as her Shepard backended to the ground. “I give up!” She slammed the controller into the recharger and then quickly ran her finger over the power button. “I completely get why they call it Insanity now.” There was a flash of light and a loud crash as a large body fell onto Belle’s sofa. She couldn’t stop the cry of surprise as it happened. All she could think was that the floor of the apartment above collapsed and sent one of their neighbors into a serious injury.
Belle’s head flicked up and the surreal situation began. The ceiling was intact and Belle’s eyes dropped to the form struggling to get up off the sofa.
“How in the…” Belle began until she took in the outfit. The black, skintight armor, the helmet, the impossible weapons attached to the hips.
“What happened?” a rough tenor asked and Belle felt herself get a little light-headed.
“This isn’t possible,” Belle said as she stared at the man in front of her.
“How did I get here?” he asked as he turned his attention to her and Belle felt reality shift. Her legs started to give out and the man was suddenly holding her up. “Are you alright?”
“This…this isn’t possible…” she hissed as she heard J’dee cry out.

~*~*~

J'dee heard the sound of a crash from their lounge and Belle's startled cry and then she heard another crash in her room. She wrapped the towel round herself in the en-suite and opened her door.“Belle! What's going-?” She stopped looking at the figure getting up from her floor and she gripped her towel tight staring at the figure standing in her room. She backed up against the wall a blush on her face.“That's an interesting choice for a first impression.” The figure seemed to smirk at her.“Oh God oh God oh God...” She slide along the wall to the door to the lounge, she opened it slightly. “BEEEEEEEELLLLLLLLE!”

~*~*~

Belle stared into his dark eyes for a moment before looking at the hallway.
“J’dee,” she hissed as she quickly pulled away from the man in front of her. She knelt next to J’dee and then followed her gaze. The impossibly good-looking man smirked as he straightened his white jacket. “Who are you?”
“Rufus Shinra of the Shinra Corporation,” the blond said.
“Lieutenant Kaidan Alenko of the Alliance,” the brunette said and Belle staggered.
“So not possible…J’dee, did you do something to cause this?” Belle asked and J’dee gave her a look.
“I was bragging about being a powerful witch, but this isn’t possible. There’s no way I could have done this,” she said and Belle stared at the two men.
“You can’t be who you say you are,” she explained and the men stared.
“Okay, you’re both part of two different video games,” J’dee said and Belle blinked. “You only play Mass Effect all the time.”
“Hey! At least I don’t have the Shinra Corporation seal tattooed on my arm!” Belle snapped back. J’dee went to reply and the men both looked confused. “You know, it doesn’t matter what we’re fangirls over. Rufus, do you have a materia on you? Kaidan, do you have your omnitool?” Both men blinked before Kaidan activated his holographic tool and Rufus pulled out an orb of blue.
Belle stared at the omnitool in shock while J’dee drooled over the materia. They shared a look and nodded.
“Gentlemen why don’t we let J’dee get cleaned up and I’ll make you some coffee. I just got one of those fancy one cup coffee makers and it came with all sorts of coffees I don’t drink,” Belle said and Rufus smirked.
“Why buy it then?” he asked.
“For the heavenly hot chocolate and for guests who do drink coffee,” Belle replied. “Once J’dee is cleaned up we are going to call a dear friend who probably is responsible for all of this.”

~*~*~

“Somehow I knew this was all your fault, Toby.” Belle stated over the phone. Tobias frowned but kept an eye on Yuna who was still glaring at him.

“MY fault? Who gave me that card with the phone number? I called it, what did you expect to happen?” Tobias snapped. Belle sighed and Tobias heard a crash from her end.

“Please get away from that, Kaidan. We’ll be there in fifteen minutes. And Toby? You better know how to fix this.” Belle hung up with a slam.

“Yeah but you may not like it.” Tobias said and rubbed his forehead. He sighed as Yuna’s eyes narrowed at him. God he needed a drink.

Toby’s OMAKE:

(Yes we will be having fun little omakes! Enjoy!)

What if Toby wished for something else?

“Hello I’m the goddess Belldandy! How may I grant your wish?” she chirped. Tobias started at her in shock. He recognized her now but she was an anime character. Made up, not real, fiction, imaginary, as in she should be standing right fucking there!

“Y-you’re real?” Tobias squeaked in a very un-manly way.

“Of course! I am here to grant you one wish, anything you want at all.” She reassured him. Tobias stared at her in shock before smirking.

“Any wish?” he asked. Belldandy nodded.

“Any wish.” She re-assured. Tobias couldn’t help the evil grin on his face.

“Then I wish to become to be the ruler of the planet with my own team of loyal servants from every one of the animes and games I love!” he said before cackling madly.

Belldandy blanched before sighing.

“Oh boy.”

~*Some time later…*~

“More grapes, my master?” Misato Katsuragi purred. Tobias absently opened his mouth as Bayonetta snuggled into his side, her magical hair sprawled over them.

“Master.” Bayonetta murmured. Tobias smiled smugly as Samus Aran escorted prisoners awaiting execution by the witch Morrigan.  Tobias sighed with pleasure as Liara T’Soni rubbed his feet and Harley Quinn entertained them with bad jokes and beating various prisoners.

“Personally, I blame you.” Belle grumped from the other side, fanning him with her own palm.
