It Couldn't Be True
Dilemma
"And the monster was sooo BIG!"
"Ya, it was big."
"And then the monster rammed into our door and we thought it was going to break down!"
"Ya, thought it was gonna break."
"Then I was so scared I had to call the local police! My husband had to take out his gun just in case!"
"Ya, had the shotgun ready ta fire."
"And then...and THEN..."
Seifer and Squall stood there listening to the couple ramble on about the monster that they had encountered. Well, if you want to call what they were doing was listening. Squall was looking at the far wall, trying to blocking out the woman's annoyingly, high pitched voice, that was causing him a headache, and Seifer was nodding dumbly, clenching and unclenching his fists.
The woman had been talking non-stop for ten minutes, not including the introductions either. They didn't know where they could interrupt as she would stop, the husband would start, then he would stop and she would start! When would they ever shut up!?
There was a moment of silence that withdrew Squall from his thoughts and he quickly poked Seifer in his side, for he was standing right behind him and the blonde turned to give him a glare.
"Wow." Seifer started, "Our comrades are out taking care of those monsters right now, so you don't have to worry 'bout them any longer!"
"Yes, but" Seifer and Squall's faces turned to horror as she was going to bring something else up. Squall did not want to stay around any longer.
"We need to be going now and we have all the information we need from you. Thank you." Squall said quickly and turned around, heading for the door before another word was uttered.
Seifer looked back at the people and waved goodbye.
"See ya later!"
As they stepped outside, Squall let out a much needed sigh. That was the worst house yet, and they still had half the reports to do. It had taken an hour for the first half so then,
"Another hour of this shit! I don't think I can take it. My ears are still ringing from that woman!" Seifer shook his head and looked over to Squall, seeing the brunette staring at someone. He followed his line of sight to the Commander as he and some of the other SeeDs were talking to the mayor of the town.
"Damn him! He knew what kind of shit these people put you through!" Squall looked down at the other names on the list.
"At least the day is going uneventful." Seifer sighed and looked over to Squall, then noticed a girl running towards them.
Squall turned around, hearing the hard foot falls and the short-haired girl stopped just before the two SeeDs.
"You have to help me. There's a creature in my house." Blue eyes darted over to his rival and noticed a smirk.
"No problem, just show me the way."
Seifer's hand itched to use Hyperion. He wanted action so bad that he was willing to stay in the training center for hours when they got back.
The headmaster knew this particular part of the mission wasn't his style. He liked the action part and Squall was definitely not getting this kill.
There was something about fighting that gave him a rise, the adrenaline pumping and his muscles tightening, giving him a work out beyond all that he's ever done. Monsters were good, but to have the right partner made it all the more exciting...
The girl ran back to her house, followed by both teens. She opened the door and stepped behind Seifer.
"Be careful and don't hurt it." Seifer turned around, disbelief written across his handsome features.
"What?"
"Don't hurt it!"
"Why the hell not?" Seifer huffed angrily, shoving his gunblade back into it's holster.
"Because it's small and cute and I think that it just lost it's way." The blonde closed his eyes and waved a hand into the house, motioning for his partner to enter first.
"After you."
Squall entered and looked around for the creature as Seifer went in the opposite direction. When the blonde opened a swinging door that lead into the kitchen, the animal surprised him, popping out and sprinted towards Squall.
"Catch it, Leonhart!" The green, fury animal ran quickly between the other man's legs, and there was no way Squall was going to chase that thing.
"It's too fast."
"Well, cast stop on it or something."
"I don't have it."
"Slow?"
"No."
"Sleep?" Squall shook his head this time and the blonde growled. "Do you have anything?"
"I could say the same thing about you!" Squall pointed out as the animal jumped onto the table and looked at the two males curiously.
"Grrr, don't give us that innocent look, you little fu-oww! What the hell was that for?" Seifer glared at the Squall's impassive face.
"The girl is still here." He whirled around and saw her looking at the animal as it twitched its long, rabbit like ears.
"You should get out of here before it attacks you, or something." She looked at him and nodded.
"All right, Leonhart. This is what we're going to do. I'm going to grab this jacket and you're going to go to the other side of that table and scare it so it comes in my direction, and I will catch it with the jacket. Yea, that sounds good!" Squall stared at Seifer like he had two heads. The blonde only stared back, anger welling up inside. "Well then you come up with something better!"
Squall didn't say anything and turned his head.
"Thought so, now go!"
Did it seem like Squall was taking orders from him lately? With that thought, Squall moved to the opposite side of the table the creature was on and withdrew his perfectly, polished gunblade.
Seifer took the large jacket and waited at the other end. With a flick of his wrist, the gunblade slashed barley inches away from the animal and surprising enough, the creature dashed toward Squall and attached itself to the front of his uniform.
Blue eyes widened in surprised and he dropped his blade on the ground and grabbed the creature that was on him, frantically trying to pull it off.
"Seifer!"
"Shit, Leonhart! You were suppose to fucking scare it, not make friends!" Seifer was at his side in an instant and put the jacket around the animal. Squall kept moving backwards as if thinking that he could get away from it.
"Hold STILL!"
"AH! He's biting me!" Squall sneered through gritted teeth as he felt the animals claws in his shirt and against his skin, but also felt the sharp teeth bit into his hand. He quickly removed his hand from the mouth and the troublesome creature jumped up and hit Squall under his chin, knocking him backwards and off balance. He instinctively grabbed for the nearest thing, which was Seifer.
The animal, with unbelievable speed, then pounced up on Seifer head and pushed off him to escape in the opposite direction. Seifer felt a hand grab onto his shirt and with him losing his footing, Squall and Seifer went crashing to the floor.
Both moaned, but Squall was, more or less in pain.
Seifer found himself sprawled yet again on the floor, but this time, he had a sultry brunette beneath him. His face was only inches from Squalls' and the way they were positioned could not fool anyone into thinking that they didn't get into that position purposefully.
The blue-eyed SeeD had his legs spread and his shapely thighs hugging onto Seifer's hips. Their bodies were fully against one another and when Squall's eyes opened to see his rival's, he stopped breathing and just stared. The eyes boar into his own and it was like he was a deer caught in a bright light.
More images flashed in Squall's mind with similar positions of Seifer as he was exactly in, hovering above him. The sensations that he felt during the dream turned his body heat up while visions of bronze hands roamed over his overly sensitive skin, gliding over every inch, the dips and curves of his toned muscles and kisses that sent his mind into mush. The scent of the man was all over, a sweet intoxicating smell that sent his mind whirling and it was something that he'd never felt before. Nothing even remotely thought about. All these feelings and lust-driven emotions were unknown territory... and that frightened him.
Squall's eyes widened with fear and self-consciousness as his hands frantically pushed at heavy, broad shoulders. He got enough leverage to scoot away from beneath the heavier frame until he rammed his back into a small table.
He let out hard and erratic breaths, reacting to his heart that was beating harshly against his chest, almost like it wanted to break through. It was all he could feel and hear on every inch of his body. Suddenly, there was a sharp pain on top of his head and blackness enveloped him.
