Chapter Twenty One.

Zell had stayed up all night. Tears filled his eyes constantly, but he wiped them away before they could roll an itchy tear down his cheek. 'Where am I supposed to go?' He wondered. 'How am I supposed to leave Ma, just like that?' Rolling over on his side, he rests his arm underneath his pillow and sniffled. 'I'm not sure, but something about the way Seifer was talking to me, does he want me to be safe because he loves me?'

'That can't be true, because if he loved me he wouldn't have bitten me again.' Zell wiped another set of tears, hoping to fall from the realization that Seifer didn't in fact like him, but is just using him for blood. 'I won't believe it, no one talks that nicely to someone they're just using...you can't even fake it...He really does care about me.' Sitting up, Zell nodded and looked at the clock on his night stand. 'And if I really care about him, I'll leave just like he asks, but first I have to say goodbye to everyone.'

The little blonde got out of bed and turned on the light in his closet. 'I guess I should pack now so Ma won't ask me what I'm doing.' He moved his bike, t-board and other little things out of the way and grabbed his suit cases that were buried underneath. "I'll just pack what's necessary." Zell said lowly into the silence.

Dragging the suite case lightly across the floor, Zell set it down and opened it up then returned to the closet and found something he could wear comfortably during his trip.

'I wonder,' He took a striped shirt down and tossed it into the suite case. 'if I'll ever get to come back? Is he gonna stop Squall, or is he just gonna let him take over Balamb and kill everyone- with his help.' Yanking a few more shirts free he knelt down by the case and started to fold them inside. 'I'm gonna need my tooth brush, I hope I don't wake Ma up.' The little blonde opened his bedroom door and took a step forward but something was blocking his way.

He kicked whatever it was but stumbled forward not knowing there were something else underneath that. "What the-...?" The little blonde turned himself around and sat back on his knees feeling around for what he tripped over. He couldn't tell what it was, so he reached forward to the one that was underneath the first one. 'Fabric.' Zell noted and continued to run his hands up the object.

What he felt next made his heart stop. 'It couldn't be?' He stuck his hands in the hole and felt what couldn't be mistaken. It was someone's teeth. Gasping, Zell yanked his hand back. "Ma?!" He called out to her and shook the woman, but she wouldn't move.

"Noo, noo. Who could have done this?" He picked his mother up and held her in his arms. Sniffling he started to rock her back and fourth. "I'm sorry, I'm sorry." Remembering the other object he knew instantly from touching the hair that it was Irvine and he nearly broke down in tears. "Irvine...." He mumbled.

There was a low hiss a distance away and looking up he saw dim glowing eyes in the blackness of the hall. Zell wasn't sure who it was or why they weren't moving but another set of eyes joined it, only these eyes were behind it and up higher then the first set. The first eyes half lidded and the lower set disappeared completely and Zell heard a low moan followed by a laugh. A taunting, low chuckle of a snicker.

A flash of light from a car going by revealed who it was. 'Seifer...' But there was another body there in front of him, enjoying the vampires caress. It was the guy who had chased him in Deling! 'Squall...?' Squall lowered his head opening his eyes with an evil smirk on his lips. When the light from the car had dulled away the two had turned back into nothing more than glowing lights.

Zell began to tremble when he saw Squall's shadowy figure move away from Seifer and he started to scoot himself back from his approach. "Die." The vampire dove on him, knocking him to the floor.

Zell struggled to get free but he was no match for his strength. He could feel Squall's teeth resting soundly in his neck, but he moved his mouth down over the boys collar bone. "Aaahhh!!! Stoop!!" Zell called. For the first time since Seifer has bitten him, Zell realized that the Slav was going easy on him, because the way Squall was doing it hurt. Zell could feel the veins in his skin rip apart as the sharp teeth came down into him.

He felt the separation of his flesh and the tips of his teeth poke his bone. The pain was so over whelming he felt as though he were going to black out. As his eyes began to roll up to the back of his head he saw the dark figure of Seifer standing there watching him. "Seif-er..." A hand came up as a wave but the vampire just watched as his former lover ripped Zell apart.

"This will teach you..." Squall was saying through a gurgle of blood.

"Aaahh!!! Aaahh!!!"

Zell jumped out of his sleep in a cold sweat and looked around his room. It was still dark out, but he's alone. '...It was a dream.' Zell sighed and put a hand to his head to keep his vision straight. Looking down at his alarm clock he read that it was only 2:15 in the morning.

'That dream...' Zell slid out of bed, and fought through a stretch to get to his closet. 'Seifer was right I have to pack, I need to get out of here or everyone will be in danger.' Going to his closet he turned on the light and shoved his t-board out of the way and grabbed his suite case.

'I better not waist anytime, I'll leave right after school.' He figured and walked to the dresser grabbing several pairs of jeans and stuffed them into the suite case, he then turned to his closet and yanked five shirts free from the hangers. Once he had all he needed, he closed the suite case and slid it under his bed so his Ma wouldn't see it.

'What else?' He questioned looking around his room. 'My toothbrush.' He paused at the door remembering his dream. His hand reached out and carefully, he pulled the door back and looked down. His foot stepped forward just enough to feel if there were anything there, but it was clear.

Zell sighed with relief and stepped into the hallway, half expecting to see Seifer and Squall standing at the end of it but, much like the doorway it was clear.

As Zell walked quietly down the hall, he stopped at his Ma's bedroom door. "I'm sorry Ma," He said out loud but low incase she were awake, there was no chance of her hearing him. The little blonde entered the bathroom without turning on the light, and used the dim yellow glow of the Glade air freshener to light his path to his tooth brush. Opening the mirror, Zell let out another breath before grabbing it, but when he closed the mirror he jumped out of his skin seeing a towel fall from the little wrack it was thrown over.

"Gods, I need to calm down." He snapped at himself. "There's no one in here." He turned away from the mirror and walked down the hallway back into his room. 'I'll go to school, so nothing will seem different.' He thought, while sticking his toothbrush in a zipper part of his book bag. 'I'll say goodbye to Selphie and Irvine there and then afterwards I'll...' His words hung in his throat then he whispered lowly. "I'll be gone."

Feeling tears, he shook it off and got himself together to get dressed for school.

.........................

"Good morning son, what would you-..oh!" Her words were silence when her only son wrapped his arms around her for a hug. The two were silent in the hug and after about a minute Zell let his mother go. "Not that I mind the gesture, but what was that for?" His Ma asked.

"I just....I don't know, bad dream." Zell replied.

"Well, I've got breakfast ready unless you'd like something else?" Zell shook his head, and turned his face away from his mother.

Tears were reforming in his eyes and the sting was unbearably noticeable. "I'll take whatever's here thanks." He answered and sat down with a sniffle.

"Honey," she said noticing. "what's the matter?" His mother sat down, placing a hand on his shoulder and he looked up at her.

"Noth-..nothing. I just uuhhhm....got a bug bite that burns a little, that's all." He lied, but showed her his neck where Seifer had bitten him.

"Hyne, what kind of bug did that?" She asked.

"It's really nothing, I didn't mean to act like a baby." Zell said wiping the tears. "See all better."

Ma shook her head and touched the marks. "Are you sure those are just bug bites? I think you might have a rash or something, do you wanna go to the hospital to get those looked at?" She asked.

"No, Mom. It really is ok." His mother blinked in shock.

'Did he just call me Mom?' She wondered.

Zell smacked the table lightly with his hand standing up. "You know what, I'm gonna be late if I don't get a move on." He said, but his mother took his hand and led him into the downstairs bathroom.

"Let me at least clean those up, they might get infected or something."

Zell sighed with a weary smile and followed. "I wish you wouldn't fuss over me, but if you insist."

Ms. Dincht pulled out the first aid kit and sorted through the items to find some anti-bacterial cleaning tissues and some bandages. Ripping the 'tear here' divots, she took out the cloth and began to clean her sons neck.

"Hahahaha." He laughed when the cold material touched him, and his Ma laughed lightly too.

"Sorry about that. I'm almost done." Flipping the little cloth inside out to a clean spot she wiped the rest of the blood away from the cuts. "Must have been some bug." She commented.

Tossing the little napkin into the bathroom trash, she opened the bandage and placed the square patch on his neck. "Good as new." Ms. Dincht looked into her sons eyes and sighed. "Zell, if there's anything you'd like to tell me, please don't hold back." She said.

'I have to leave you, because there's a good chance everyone I love will be in danger if I don't...I don't wanna go but I have to, and these aren't bug bites they're teeth marks because I think I might be dating a vampire.'

Zell blinked and said. "Nothing's wrong." Giving her another hug, he sighed and backed away. "Yeah, well...I have to go." He walked out of the bathroom in a hurry.

"But Zell," She called after him.

"I love you, Ma." The little blonde waved over his shoulder and went out the door. 'I hope I can beat Irvine to school.' He took off at a trot but heard the cowboys voice from behind.

"Hey, 'bout time you showed up. I was beginning to worry." Zell turned around and smiled seeing his best friends face.

He looked handsome today, his hair was twisted into a french braid and he was wearing an all denim jean outfit, minus the hat and one of his usual long coats. He was though wearing his custom cowboy boots, the black ones, and he made that great sound when he walked on concrete that him and Zell dreamed about when they were kids.

"You're a sight to clear eyes," Zell said, and was greeted with arms wrapped around his waist and a kiss.

"So're you. What took you so long to get out here?" He asked.

"I was getting something fixed." Zell answered showing Irvine his neck bandage.

"Sexy war scar or gross bug bite?" Asked the cowboy touching it.

"Sexy war scar." They laughed.

"Must have been one fuck of a bug for all that though." Said Irvine.

"Yeah, a big mean nasty one." Zell mumbled in the opposite direction.

The two of them walked quietly for a moment and Zell looked at him from the side of his eye. 'Now or never.' He thought, then noticed. "Where's Selphie?" Zell asked.

"At home, she ain't comin today."

Zell found that odd and said. "Why not, she never misses a day."

Irvine shrugged and explained. "Well today she is. Her mom went to the hospital last night, I reckon she went there with her."

"Oh, poor thing." Zell said. 'Maybe I'll see her after then, I really wanna say goodbye to her.' He looked over at Irvine again. "Say, you wanna skip today too? It hardly feels the same without the whole trio there, we were lost without you at lunch the other day."

Irvine suggested and Zell thought it over. "Sure, what the hell." He answered. "But, where will we go? It's broad daylight, what if someone sees us?"

"Tch, who cares. I don't know what it is about today, I just feel like I really gotta see you alone, right now anyway." He laughed lowly. "Sounds kinda stupid huh? But it feels kinda like your gonna leave me and I guess I just want the time, is all."

Zell stopped walking and smiled meekly at him. "I don't think I've ever been more appreciative of a friend like you till now." He leaned up and kissed him on the lips. Glancing over his shoulder he backed away and grinned.

"We could go hang out at the park, you know the kiddy park with all the fun stuff in it." The little blonde suggested.

"Oh the kids'll love that, heh heh." But he was turning in that direction.

"Well that's just too damned bad for the kids." Stated Zell, with a flirtatious smirk. The two of them walked along side of the grass, until they saw the park in the distance then they cut through it to get to the swings. Irvine automatically started to give himself 'wicked air' while Zell stayed at a lower height.

"Come on Zell, what's the point of swinging if you're practically still in the same spot?" The cowboy asked.

"No thanks, this is as high as I go." The little blonde replied.

"Non-sense." Irvine swung out until he felt the swing about to drop back down, then he jumped off.

"Irvine no!" Zell protested holding his hands out. But his friend was already behind him yanking the swing backwards. "Nooo!!." Zell called out as Irvine let him go.

The swing sailed out a distance then came back. Irvine gave him another hard shove and Zell was shouting the whole way. "Come on little dude, fly!" Irvine called up to him flapping his arms as though they were wings.

"I'm gonna kill you, cowboy." Exclaimed Zell, coming back towards him.

"Lift up." Irvine said and when the swing came in contact with him, Zell grabbed the chains and pulled himself up a bit so that Irvine could jump on it with him.

"See, this ain't so bad." The cowboy said. Zell sat himself on Irvine's feet and let him do the swinging.

'Well here's one perk for Seifer, he wouldn't push me high on the swings.' He thought humouredly. Though he actually was enjoying swinging with him.

"Man I could do this all day." Irvine said slowing them down. "Get up a minute." He said once the swing had completely stopped. Irvine sat himself in the seat and waved Zell over to him. "Climb on." He instructed and Zell hopped up into Irvine's lap facing him.

The cowboy scooted his feet backwards, then picked them up once he was far enough back to rock them into a good height. The two of them swung quietly for a moment laughing to themselves and Zell wrapped his arms around Irvine's chest and sighed.

'This is nice.' He thought, feeling a slight urge build in his pants as the two of their hips rocked back and fourth against each others. 'A daytime date, with no pressure or fear.' He nuzzled his face into Irvine's shirt causing the cowboy to laugh. "I hope your not wiping snot on me."

Zell laughed and pulled back looking at him. "No, I was just thinking about how nice this is." The little blonde said and leaned himself up a bit to kiss Irvine on the lips. When Zell pulled back, Irvine leaned forward and kissed him back.

Zell's hands came up to Irvine's face and Irvine just held on to the chains while swinging them back and fourth. "Are you getting off on me?" Irvine asked.

"Oh yeah, rocking back and fourth like this is a huge turn on." They grinned and pressed their foreheads together and Irvine sighed. "Hey I'll race ya to that tree." He said.

"What tree?" Asked Zell already getting the 'never back down from a challenge' tingle run through him.

"That one," Irvine pointed. "by the fence." The swing slowed to a stop and the two got off and into racing positions.

"On my count." Zell said.

"I don't trust your count, we'll go on my count."

Zell rolled his eyes. "Alright honest Abe, we'll go on your count." Irvine smiled to the victory and started.

"One...two...Hey!"

Zell took off and Irvine was a few seconds behind following. The two of them ran almost neck and neck to the tree. "I'm gonna beat you!" Zell called over his shoulder.

"No you're not!" Irvine reached out for the little blonde but he'd just missed grabbing a handful of his shirt.

"Aaaannd..." Zell was saying when he came in for the home stretch. "Base! I win!" Irvine hit the tree a second or two after Zell and he sighed out a breath. "And as my present I'll take that sexy looking brunette in the back row." Zell pulled Irvine to him by the hips and gave him another kiss.

"He declines." Irvine laughed out, sitting down.

"Come on cowboy, you and me never do anything but kiss. If we're gonna be in a relationship you gotta show me some skin." Zell argued, undoing the buttons on Irvine's shirt.

"Zell, we're not gonna actually do this outside." Protested the cowboy.

"Sure, whose gonna see us?"

Irvine shook his head and re-buttoned his shirt. "Alright then, we'll just sit here and... kiss."

"Is that so bad?" Irvine asked.

"No, it's just that...I don't know, we don't really need to take things slow. We've know each other forever anyway- why wait?" Irvine felt something more was behind that but he didn't question it. Instead he pulled Zell into him for a kiss and mumbled. "We'll see then."

The two of them parted their lips and let their tongue meet again. Zell's hand landed on Irvine's thigh and the other on his cheek, he leaned himself further into the kiss feeling Irvine's hands wrap around his back as though he were hugging him.

The two of them breathed into each others mouths tasting the hint of toothpaste on their breaths. Zell's hands slid a little further over onto Irvine's package and the cowboy pulled away. "Zell." He protested.

"What?" The little blonde asked.

"Let's go someplace where we can get some privacy." He pointed to the lawn mower men watching them.

"Oh."

* * *

"Irvine, we're at your house." Zell said, looking at the cozy little white wash painted house.

"Yeeah aand, my parents aren't home and ain't gonna be home till tomorrow night. They went to see my grandma." The cowboy explained and unlocked the door. "The place is ours." Pushing the door open, Irvine held out a hand to Zell to enter first and his friend smiled to the gesture and walked in.

'The Kinneas's, their house always smells like Lysol.' Zell thought.

Irvine's mom is a borderline neat freak and Zell often wondered why it hadn't rubbed off on Irvine, especially when he had to grow up this way. Feeling a sudden tug at his shirt, Zell's hand was wrapped up into Irvine as the cowboy led him upstairs to his bedroom. The two of them locked lips the second the door closed behind them. Irvine backed them over to his bed and carefully, without breaking the kiss, laid them back on the bed.

Zell pulled his legs in so that Irvine was boxed between his hips and he rocked up and down against the cowboys package, that was beginning to swell inside his pants. Irvine replied to the rocking by squirming around underneath him and Zell pulled away. "You've never done this before?" He asked him casually and Irvine blushed.

"Nah, so you're gonna have to show me." The cowboy said.

'Me in charge? That's new.' Zell thought and leaned down to kiss Irvine reassuringly. The little blonde then found the zipper and snapping clasp of Irvine's jeans and he undid them putting a hand on Irvine's rising dick.

As his hand moved up and down, giving him little squeezes along the way Irvine grunted to the feeling. It was so good! He'd never been physically touched by anyone before but himself and what could you get from that after a while. Zell's lips moved to Irvine's neck and the cowboy moaned feeling the little nips that Zell was giving him there.

'What the hell am I doing?' Wondered Zell, when he felt himself closing his mouth around Irvine's neck. Shaking it off, he moved back up to his lips briefly, then slipped down to his chest.

Zell's hand had never stopped massaging Irvine's dick, and feeling his friend kissing through the fabric, Irvine undid his shirt and slipped it off. The little blonde instantly incases the right nipple and found the other with his left hand to fondle it. He dropped his weight down on his hand as much as he could so the grind of his hand on Irvine's cock would be stronger.

Irvine's steady panting grew into a moan, and he just lay there in pure ecstasy not really sure what to do, but he placed his hands in Zell's hair and combed it with his fingers.

The little blonde ran moist rings around Irvine's nipple and switched off after the right one was nice and hard. "Uagh!" The cowboy groaned feeling a tug of familiarity in his pants. Zell took his hand away from him and moved off of Irvine all together.

Hearing a slight groan of protest, Zell shushed him and slid out his own clothes until he stood completely naked in front of his friend. Irvine lay there admiring his little body. It had grown out so nicely. Sure, he'd seen Zell naked when they were kids and Zell had seen him as well but this was unexpectedly gorgeous to look at.

The little blonde leaned forward grabbing the waist of Irvine's pants and yanked them down his legs and off. Admiring his friends body for a second, he saw Irvine open his arms to him and he gladly climbed into them.

The two kissed each other with a new hunger behind it, as they ground their erections into a coma. The two panted out moans and licked each others lips, Irvine's passed Zell's neck on an occasion and the little blonde would lower his face to capture the cowboy's lips in the kiss.

For some reason Zell's neck was throbbing every time someone touched it during sex and it was driving him crazy. Both of their erections were dripping with cum, little droplets fell down between their legs, and Zell did just as Seifer had on their first night by lubing himself with their cum, and between Irvine's ass.

"This might hurt a little." Zell said. Raising the cowboys legs up to his chest, the little blonde positioned himself at the base of his ass and pointed the tip of his head at Irvine's anal hole.

Zell bent forward kissing Irvine to distract him from the pain and get a little more lube from the two of them and he rocked against his friends erection, which was sitting crushed between the both of their stomachs.

The massaging feeling of both their abs against the veins in Irvine's dick were overwhelming and he thought he was coming they were so wet. Zell's hand ran between the two of them and he coated himself with it, then slipped inside. "Aaahh!!!" Irvine cried out.

"It's ok." Zell whispered. "Just relax." He slowly rocked himself into Irvine's anus, that was trying more than anything to push him out but he made it in and kissed his friends strained face away. The more he rocked in and out the better it was beginning to feel and Irvine's little groans of pain soon turned into pleasure. The two of them lay together feeling each others bodies with their hands while rocking in opposites up and down on the bed.

"Aaahhhh," Irvine sighed. Zell found himself kissing Irvine's neck again to the point of sucking on it.

'If I could just.....' Zell was thinking. When Irvine's hand came up to Zell's face it brushed past the bandage causing a burning tingle to form on his neck. Something glittered in Zell's eyes, something he was unaware of and he slowly started to sink his teeth into Irvine's neck. 'What am I doing?!' Zell pulled back and kissed his friend again on the lips.

In and out, up and down. The cum trickling from Zell's dick made Irvine's insides like a slip-n-slide and he was loving the warm un-burning feeling of it. The two kept a sturdy pace with each other and they groaned and slammed into each others bodies as though they never wanted to let go.

Zell hadn't even noticed just how fast the two of them were going, he was so enthralled by Irvine's neck veins and before he knew what was happening , the cowboy had cum between their stomachs. Irvine arched his back feeling Zell pound into him and as his sphincter tightened around Zell's cock.

The little blonde held back a second as if waiting for permission from Irvine, who nodded and he came inside of him. The both of them drowning one another out in moans, Zell collapsed on him. They panted in exhaustion and closed their eyes falling asleep.

..........................

Zell opened his eyes seeing a mess of brown hair in his vision and he smiled knowing it was Irvine's. The two of them spent the morning doing what Zell felt was making love and most of the afternoon sleeping. 'Gods, I don't wanna leave him.' The little blonde buried his face close into his friends neck, feeling the veins throbbing up close was too much to bear and Zell opened his mouth taking a bite into him.

"Ow!" Irvine shouted pushing Zell off. "What the fuck was that for?" He asked, hardly anger just a little winded still.

"I'm sorry." Zell began but Irvine didn't seem to hear him.

"I mean, I'd heard of love bites but that out in out, hurt." Zell looked around at himself, his hands, legs, as though he were looking for something different about him. "What's wrong?" Irvine asked looking at his friend. "Was I bad?" He then asked. "Are you sorry we did it?"

Zell remained quiet, as though someone had a hand over his mouth to keep him quiet from words he wasn't even going to say.

"Zell, are you ok?" Irvine asked, joining his friend on the floor.

"I gotta go," Zell said suddenly. "You were great, Irvine. I swear, I just… gotta go." Zell grabbed his clothes up and kissed Irvine hard on the lips and moved away only to snatch him up into a hug. "I hope I see you again." He mumbled into the cowboys chest.

"Uh, me too....are you feeling alright?" Irvine asked.

"Yeah, I just forgot to do something." Zell yanked his clothes on as they talked and giving Irvine one last kiss he ran out of his house.

"Strange kid..." Irvine said mostly to himself. "Dammit, I didn't get to ask him about that guy."

'Maybe that's why he took off so fast...give it up Irvine, you were just a fuck.' The cowboy thought. "Damn."
