I've watched you change
Into a fly
Into a fly
Standing in front of the black painted motel door she paused for a moment and just stared. She knew he was on the other side. The blinds to her left were turned opened just so that the person inside would be able to see the people crossing the street. As much as she would have just wanted to turn tail and run she knew she couldn't. There was no sense in doing so.
She was already here…
Might as well get it over with, she thought. And with that turned the knob and entered.
I looked away
You were on fire
The first thing she noticed as she stepped in was the ashtray by the table already filled with ashes and remains of the cigarettes consumed. Her nose wrinkled in disgust. “What a filthy habit.” When he just shrugged in a way implying he could care less, she walked towards the empty couch and sat not minding the slight dust it harbored then proceeded to cross her legs.
She didn't know what more was there to be discussed but for the sake of closure she came. Eyes idly scanning the place, as was her habit when bored she waited for him to break the silence.
I watched a change
In you
“Why are you here?”
Mildly surprised at his question she tilted her head to the side raven locks tumbling by her shoulder, “You told me to come didn't you? Unless of course you have another clone or a personality disorder I am unaware of…I'd say that was a pretty stupid question.”
Smiling when he `Tsked' in irritation, she turned her body towards his. He was still seated in front of the window with his back facing her. How rude she thought idly. But then she wasn't here to discuss manners so she let it pass.
“You know what I mean Tifa. You're not one to follow orders that easily. Are you telling me you came just because I… said so?”
It's like you never
Had wings
She smiled sardonically and answered in a patronizing tone. “No, you said please.” Grinning when he growled and stood up to face her she smirked at the face of his irritation and turned away, eyes gazing about the room once more.
Gritting his teeth at her actions he took a deep breath calming himself. She was purposely baiting him and he knew it. Yazoo frowned. Well if that's what she wanted fine. He crossed his arms and leaned with his back to the wall staring at her seated figure and hid a smirk. He doubted if she'd remain indifferent after the night was through.
“It's funny how different you are when you're with me than you are with Cloud.”
Now it was her turn to frown. “What are you talking about?”
Smirking at her confusion to which she replied with a glare he winked suggestively further incensing her ire and met her stare. Obsidian clashing with jade.
“Stop playing the innocent act Tifa when we both know you're not.”
Anger surging in her veins at the insinuation, she balled her fists and uncrossed her legs to lean forward hissing “Look asshole, you're the one who told me to come so I came. I didn't come because I wanted a round two if that's what you're thinking. So spit that out of your head, I came to make sure you don't break our agreement and that from now on you learn keep your distance. Unlike the appearance you made earlier today.”
Now you feel
So alive
When he just gave a nod as though her reaction was to be expected she furrowed her eyebrows genuinely confused now at this man's actions. “Yes, I know. I just wanted to make sure. I told you I had something you wanted right?”
She nodded her assent and watched baffled when he just gave her another rueful smile and turned the chair he had occupied earlier to face her; and took a seat.
During the short span of time she had met the man, she had learned that though he might be a formidable opponent when he wanted to, fact was he wasn't now. It had been proved yesterday when she could have so easily killed him and he had surrendered without a second thought. Still, it wasn't reason enough to think him defenseless.
While yes, she sympathized with what he went through after the reports she read, but it was only to that extent. She had lived through many battles and she wasn't dumb enough to make a mistake as fatal as that.
I've watched you change.
She halted her thoughts when he spoke. “And was that the only reason you came? Don't get me wrong I know you didn't come here for a quick fuck, I never assumed that. Just think about it…is there nothing else?”
Well that was unexpected. Though she did have a reason other than closure...What was it again? Ah. Now she remembered. “The ribbon.” He blinked at that “Ribbon? What are you talking about?” “The red ribbon. The one every member in Avalanche wore. You know the one I wore last night?”
When he just frowned in a confused way not understanding what she meant she snapped her mouth shut and gave him an intent stare. No, he couldn't possibly say he didn't have it because she remembered its light weight resting on her arm yesterday night.
Well if he was calling her a liar fine.
In a voice that mimicked his earlier tone she replied “Stop playing the innocent act Yazoo when we both know you're not.”
I took you home
Set you on a glass
She had learned from a certain someone how to deal with people like Yazoo. So she dealt with him just as that person had dealt with her. Eyes zeroing on him when he chuckled, her mouth tilted downwards to a frown.
What the hell was wrong with him?
“You're truly one of a kind Tifa. I guess I should've expected that from you.” Giving another grin at her upset face he stood up, took the lighter placed by the coffee table in front of her; and lit the cigarette he fished out from his pants.
He inhaled a draft then stared at her form for a minute studying her. Inwardly smiling at the distress clearly visible in her face whatever state she was in she could still be so…”Stop talking in circles Yazoo just get to the point.”
Patience was never her forte.
I pulled off your wings
Then I laughed
“Alright.” Flicking the ash that gathered at the tip of his cigarette he turned his eyes from her to glance out the window just as the light from the lamp post outside flickered. “I've been watching you you know.”
She scoffed “Why am I not surprised? I think stalk is a more fitting word. Don't you have anything better to do?” “No actually…I don't”
She quieted at that. Something was seriously wrong with the man. His reactions were just so…different. It was as though he truly didn't know--“Aren't you tired Tifa?”
She glared “Just what do you mean by that?”
He stood up after crushing the cigarette and dropped it at the ashtray. “Like I said I've been watching you.” Turning to her he crossed his arms and leaned on the table. “Do you know what I see when I watch you Tifa?” When she kept quiet and just stared. He cocked his head to the side grinning childishly as though the words he spoke next was something that should've already been obvious to her
“I see a tired woman desperately trying to keep up with her lies.”
I watched a change
In you
He turned away when her eyes darkened and bowed her head so that her hair concealed her eyes. He knew what he was about to say would hurt but it needed to be done. Not just for his sake. But for hers. So…he kept going. “I've seen the way you would frown when you thought no one was watching. How your eyes would show your rage for one minute and gone in the next.”
He straightened and approached her seated figure taking note of the slight trembling of her shoulders. “What's weird Tifa is that sometimes if I watch real closely, I see something that I rarely get to see. Especially from someone as heroic and good as Tifa Lockheart.”
Leaning down so he could whisper in her ear he said “I see madness there…”
It's like you never
Had wings
Had wings
Throwing a punch aimed at his face sending him sprawling in the floor. She quickly straddled his legs and pounded his chest with both arms successively till blood dripped from the corner of his mouth all the while screaming “Shut up!”
“ShutUpShutUpShutUp! SHUT! UP!”
When he just kept quiet and received her blows she cussed and cursed him for everything that he was, while he just lied there and listened.
“Who the fuck do you think you are? You're just Sephiroth's fucking clone! Is that why you're doing this because he told you to? Or have you been him all along?” Raising a fist about to deliver the killing blow she stopped when he coughed and spluttered blood saying in pained gasps “I'm…I'm Yazoo…”
She stilled. Tifa closed her eyes and exhaled heavily. Hands quickly taking out the cure materia she brought from her pocket, she had gone too far. Placing a hand to the sphere, she channeled its power to his. After he was cured and sure to survive, nobody spoke for awhile leaving only the sounds of their heavy breaths filling the cold room.
”Y-you shouldn't lie about things like that…” Staring at her the way her mouth faintly trembled indicating suppressed emotions, he sat up so their chests touched and embraced her trying to stop her shoulders from shaking. Placing his chin at her neck he inhaled her scent and murmured a “Am I?” to her ear.

Tifa sighed. It didn't matter either way even if he was right. Although it was nice and warm to stay here encased in his arms she couldn't allow that. She came here for closure so he needed to keep his fucking distance. Grabbing the arms that tightened their hold she said “Let go.” In a warning tone that promised painful things if he didn't.
Sighing he leaned back and reluctantly let go. After all, he had a point to make. And he had to make it now. “Listen Tifa. When I said I had something you'd want it was this.”
At his words she looked down on his seated form on the floor and questioned “This?” not at all understanding what he meant. Letting out another sigh he stood up and dusted his pants before facing her and met her stare with utmost seriousness he said
“You don't have to lie when you're around me Tifa and you never did. You can have this when you're with me. Isn't that what you've been searching for? All that I'm asking is for you to be with me. Cloud doesn't have to know anything. I'll keep my distance if that's what you're worried about just...If you have to spend the night with some random stranger you barely even know. I…I want you to spend it with me instead.”
Turning away from his expectant stare she walked towards the door and opened it. She stopped and turned her head to watch him before turning back and called out a “I'll let you know.” At her shoulder.
When the door closed he sighed and shook his head, walking towards his room to lie on the bed. He already had too much for one day. Closing his eyes he willed his body to sleep even though it kept supplying images of her and their conversation. Maybe he did it wrong. Maybe he screwed it up. He frowned.
Well, it looked like he was back to waiting. So for now, he slept.
I've watched you change
It's like you never had wings
It's like you never had wings
Tifa came home to find Vincent seated in the stairs by the porch with a thoughtful expression on his face. When he raised an eyebrow in question she replied “Training” with a blatantly pained smile blanketing her features. She knew he noticed by the way his intent stare kept studying her across the room while she chatted with the kids and some customers all throughout the day.
But Vincent wasn't one to pry unless absolutely necessary and she felt relieved at that. After her encounter with Yazoo she frankly didn't think how much more she could take. Marlene came up to her and said Cloud phoned earlier saying he'll be back in another two days. She didn't even bother asking why this time. Well, it was to be expected he rarely came home at his appointed time since something always came up.
The thought crossed her mind once that he might possibly see other women, but she easily dismissed it as irrelevant. It wasn't Cloud to do those kinds of things. That was her thing. Besides, even if he did, what did that have to do with her right?
She slammed the glass she had been wiping to the sink, causing it to break and her hand to bleed.
Staring at the blood flowing in morbid fascination, his words ringing in her ears tuning out all other noises, she frowned why did everything feel like such a farce now?
“I see a tired woman desperately trying to keep up with her lies.”
Blinking out of her thoughts when she felt steel in her fingertips, she focused on Vincent's clawed hand grasping her arm and wiping the blood clean. When he kept silent and didn't ask she said a shaky explanation of “I-it was an accident.” Just to make sure.
After he tied the bandages around her palm he gave her an unreadable stare and murmured a quiet “You don't have to always hold everything in.” causing her eyes to instantly snap back to his face only to find him already walking away.
I look at the cross
And I looked away
Three days.
Three fucking hellish days of pretending.
Trying to be happy although feeling far from it, she finally decided she had had enough. He was right. Even Vincent had said she didn't have to hold it in right?
So that Thursday night, after the shop was closed, everything in place and Vincent off to who knows where.
She came back.
Give you the gun
Blow me away
Yazoo stirred to consciousness when the feeling of a body pressed down upon his registered. As he opened his eyes the scent of lilies and violets assaulted his nose causing his body to tense and eyes to snap open.
He didn't dare turn around lest this be a dream or worse, actually real and cause her to change her mind. Though inwardly excited he relaxed his body calling a nonchalant “Tifa?” as if it didn't matter and waited for her to reply.
She smiled at his tone. He could be such a kid sometimes; it was like he was afraid he'd scare her off. Pressing her body to his she nuzzled his back and leaned in his neck breathing a whispered reply of “You were right. It does get tiring at times. I think I deserve a break don't you?”
He smiled and turned around to face her. Cupping her face in one hand he pulled her closer till their breaths were an inch apart and whispered an “Aa.” for confirmation before placing his lips to hers.
I've watched a change
In you
In you
Hands making quick work in the removal of their clothes till they were both naked, he tugged her to lie on the bed while he leaned down and took her lips for a kiss. He caressed the underside of her breasts and smiled at her moan kissing his way downwards to her navel before licking her bellybutton.
His left hand tweaked and teased a nipple while his right went downwards. When she gasped he sat up and brought both her legs to open wider enabling him a view of her glistening jewel. Stroking her clit he leaned in and gave a tentative lick. “Ah!”
Encouraged he placed a hand to rub circles on the inside of her thigh while his other probed her hole; mouth lapping at her juices.
It's like you never

“A-ah!” Glancing down at the body pleasuring her she gasped when he reached a particularly sensitive spot. Damn it! She was already so wet. Tugging on a silver lock he pulled his face to her for a kiss while she reached a hand to grasp his hardened staff and stroked it.
“T-tifa…” He was already so hard he didn't think it would be possible to go any harder but it did. She smiled and turned her back on him. When he just looked confused she clicked her mouth in annoyance. She forgot he could be so very naïve at times. Calling out her shoulder she explained “I want you to take me on the back.”
Now you feel
So Alive
So Alive
Face burning in embarrassment he nodded while his manhood twitched in anticipation. Grabbing her hips he caressed it for a moment admiring her soft curves before he leaned in and entered her. Both gasping at the feel he pulled out slowly before thrusting back in. Slowly picking up pace.
She almost forgot how incredible it felt. Though she knew she would probably regret this decision of hers later what mattered was now, and she hadn't felt this free for a long time. “A-ah there right there!”
He moaned and thrust faster. It felt so good. Her silken muscles squeezing and closing around him, it was something he didn't think he could ever live without. “God T-tifa I-I I'm…” he placed a hand and rubbed her clit while his other kneaded her breast.
When she felt him about to pull out indicating his release she grabbed his hip to stay in place gasping a “No. I want you to come inside me.”
He wanted to ask her if she was sure but was prevented in doing so when she came. The feel of her squeezing and milking him brought about his release and he gave a low guttural gasp of ecstasy.
I've watched you change.
They both lay panting after that, chests heaving with a slight red flush covering their features. Turning to her figure at his side he raised a hand to wipe the sweat rolling from his forehead and smiled when she turned to look at him. She gave him a slow but tentative smile in answer but it was a smile nonetheless.
With a jolt Yazoo realized he felt something that he hadn't felt in a very long time. It was…happiness. They stared at each other for awhile before she leaned in for a kiss. Immediately deepening the kiss she initiated, he frowned when she broke off and stood.
About to ask what the matter was he was silenced when she placed a hand to his chest and dragged it downwards to circle a nipple. Though tempting as it was to just stay with him she knew she couldn't. Her time was up. Letting out a long sigh he flopped back to that bed and closed his eyes.
After all, beggars can't be choosers.
After putting on her clothes she glanced at him one last time and smiled at the upset expression on his face. “Don't worry I'll be back.” He nodded in assent and watched as she closed the door and left.
Even though he had planned this and should be pleased it went accordingly, it didn't ease the nagging worry at his gut indicating something was off. Maybe he just felt this way because she left, but then his instincts were never wrong. He sighed.
Loz was right when he said that when he wanted something he always did everything in his power to get it no matter what got in his way.
Walking towards the bathroom he stared at his face in the mirror and opened the faucet for a splash of water. Whichever way, he would do as he pleased and stay with Tifa as long as she would have him.
The problem is…a snide voice whispered in his ears.
When the time came she asked to let go…will you be able to?
