Puppet Theory.

Chapter 2: The news to day...

She was so tired of the pain if only... but yet again that saying from Lulu floated back in her head `Just another drop in the ocean.' With a sigh Yuna stood up brushing the sand off her legs and shorts. It had been three long years since her defeat of Sin. The group had moved on to other things. Lulu and Wakka had finally gotten over their pasts and got married. Since the Aeons were gone people relied heavily on machina and black magic which keep Lulu, Rikku and the Al Bhed busy with teaching the spells and finding more machina to make it safer to move around Spira. Wakka went back to the Aurochs as captain and started coaching the junior Aurochs. But Yuna had a bigger task at hand, after the collapse of the Yevon religion the people of New Spira had looked to her and the other summoners as leaders but she had a hard time doing this. Her heart wasn't in Spira anymore.

Wiping a tear from her eye Yuna leaned down to pick up her staff. She smiled as moved it around her using a summoning Kata, she really didn't need it any more her cousin Rikku had instructed Yuna to use twin pistols, but still she missed the feel of a staff in her hands. Looking out to the crystal blue sea and the matching sky. Yuna smiled and gave the setting sun a deep bow and turned to the sandy path to Besaid.

A thunderous roar came up behind her. Turning around Yuna looked up tilting her hand over her eye to block the glare of the sunset. It was an airship one of the newly rebuilt ones. Rikku's brother also captained it. "Looks like Rikku and Lu are back, Ya" yelled a flaming red haired Besaiden to Yuna from higher up the path. Yuna waved at him. "Ok Wakka I'll meet you at the docks!" she yelled back. Yuna smiled and ran.

When she got there the spunky Al Bhed was already half way down the ramp of the airship. "YUNIE!" she screamed happily running the rest of the way her hair and scarf's trailing behind her. Yuna smiled but gasps as her cousin almost tackled her to the ground with a bearhug. "Rik... Ku can't... breathe." She sputtered. Rikku jumped away from her. "Oopsies! Sorry Yunie!" she looked at her cousin with her green swirly irises, trying to go for the sad puppy look. Yuna laughed and patted Rikku on the shoulder while watching Wakka as he mage gestures with his hand behind Rikku trying to have Yuna not to imply he was there, but Yuna smiled evilly at him. "Hey Wakka." She said to him and proceeded to watch him get tackled to the ground by her hyper cousin.

As Lulu walked down the ramp she looked apon the happy trio, this was her family she would do anything to keep them together and well. Lulu mentally prayed to nameless gods that she had the strength to just that. The news she had for them was grim. Over the years she had changed her look, her now short hair flowed from the bun from the back of her head but managed to keep the cornrows.

Lulu also sported a new outfit. A black kimono mini skirt with the long sleeves with deep plum seams and a matching obi with a black tie. Under her skirt a black garter belt that held up matching plum fishnet stockings that lead in to steel toed black knee high boots with matches plum laces. She chuckled remembering how Wakka had asked her to try some brighter colors but they all made her look washed out but when she picked this outfit the look on his face was priceless.

Lulu smiled as walked up to the group. "Is it ok if I have back my husband?" she asked as she taped Rikku's shoulder. "Sure Lulu!" with that Rikku jumped up from atop the dazed blitzball player and helped him up. Wakka smiled at his wife fondly before pulling her in to a sound tight welcome kiss. Yuna and Rikku `Awed' at them. There was bright flash that surprised the couple and they quickly pulled themselves apart. "Wha ...What was that!" Wakka stuttered as he looked around. Lulu tried to hide her blush behind her bangs but her pale cheeks betrayed her.

"Forget about that Wakka. Rikku and I have some urgent news from the Tribunal." Lulu started to change the subject away from Rikku's new sphere camera. "What news Lulu?" Yuna asked putting a hand on her arm. "It's about the Fayth Yunie." Rikku said as she walked up to her, strait face and missing her perkiness. "The Fayth? What do you mean? All the Aeons are gone." Yuna was very puzzled at this. "We know that Yunie, it's the Fayth statues they're gone."
