Final Fantasy - All Series Fan Fiction ❯ Sephiroth's Life ❯ The Guardian & The Chosen One ( Chapter 1 )
Who am I? Who are my mother and my father? Why won't you people tell me? Why must I be kept inside these white and desolate walls? I have spent already fourteen years of my life here and not once had I ever seen the sun. Everyday a man comes in to give me injections, which I disgust and am terrified of. I keep silent and don't pay attention to him. He has the look of iniquity in his eyes. I already know that I am different than others but somehow I will escape this place and see with my own eyes the world, which they have kept me from. Someday…
"Good morning Sephiroth, I hope that you slept well." A man said as he came in. His name was professor Gast and he was the only man that was kind to him. "I see that you still won't talk to us. Are you hungry?" he asked as he sat down in a chair. Sephiroth nodded and looked away while a few strands of silver hair fell over his emerald eyes.
"Professor?" Seph began. Professor Gast looked at him suddenly. The boy had spoken! Finally!
"Yes?" the professor asked, trying to sound relaxed. Seph looked away again and then back to the scientist.
"Why do you keep injecting needles into me? I hate them and they hurt me sometimes." Sephiroth concluded. His aquamarine eyes stared at the man with no emotion at all.
"What do you mean, needles? Who? I haven't ordered anybody to give you injections." Professor Gast blurted out.
"There was another man, I think his name is Hojo. I see it all the time on his name plate." Seph said. A woman in a white lab coat came in with a tray in her hands.
"Good morning Seph. I brought you something good to eat." The lady said cheerfully. Professor Gast stood up and whispered something to the lady. She nodded and the scientist left.

Professor Gast stormed into Hojo's office and caught him drinking a glass of whiskey.
"Oh! Good day to you, I suspect that the boy is well?" Hojo said. Something was off beam; Gast had the look of a demon upon his face. He sat down and waited for Gast to speak. "Well speak man! What's wrong?"
"Who gave you authorization to give injections to Sephiroth?! Don't tell me you gave him more Jenova cells?" Gast said looking at Hojo with angry eyes. "Do you know what could happen to him if he has too much?!"
"Gast, calm down. I did it for the sake of the project. He will become a much greater human being than we could ever imagine." Hojo explained. "Here sit down and have a drink." He said, taking another clean glass out of the cabinet.
"No Hojo. You are done with this project, tomorrow I'm sending Sephiroth off to train as a Soldier." Gast said. He turned around ready to leave, but Hojo stopped him.
"You can't! He is part of the project! Gods know what he may do! And you can't fire me from this project! You need me!" Hojo yelled out. He slammed his glass down to the floor; it shattered into little tiny crystals. Hojo looked at Gast straight in the eye.
"No Hojo, he is going to go away from here. Far away, away from you so he won't be corrupted ever again." Gast said coldly. He opened the door and slammed it. Hojo became angry. How dare he take way his son!? I'll have a talk with the president about this!

Sephiroth was reading a book when professor Gast came in with a suitcase. What was going on? He laid his book on the table and waited to see what would happen next.
"Seph, don't just stand there. Pack up your belongings. You are going to another place." Gast said. "Hojo won't ever touch you again. I'll speak with the Shinra president before we leave." He explained.
"Where am I going?" Seph asked as he put a few of his belongings inside the small suitcase.
"You will be trained as a soldier for the Shinra Company. You'll like it and you will finally be able to be outside. I should have listened to my instincts and not to others. You don't belong here." Gast said without thinking. Sephiroth was surprised and hastily put on some boots and a jacket. They walked out into a long hallway and went up several flights of stairs. Gast stopped at a large door and turned around to face Seph.
"Sit here and wait for me. It will only take a few minutes." Gast said as he left Seph in the corridor. He had never been outside of the lab and the lobby was new to him. He left his things on the floor next to a waiting chair. To his right at the far end of the hallway, there was a set of steps. In front of him was an elevator and to the left at the far end was an opening and golden yellow light was pouring through it. He walked toward it and looked out through it. He got blinded by the morning sun and quickly put his hand up to protect his eyes. So this was the sun? It felt so warm…
"Seph?" Professor Gast asked as he walked up behind him. He put one hand on the boys shoulder and smiled.
"It's warm, unlike the my room." Seph said, "Professor? What did you talk about in there? What was so important?" a million questions ran through his mind and he was afraid that there would not be enough answers for them all.
"The president agreed to have you enrolled in SOLDIER. Hojo was there already, but I couldn't make him leave the project or even close it down." Gast explained. "Come now, our limo is waiting. We'll have to stop by on the way to take care of some things." Seph followed and as they were entering the elevator, Hojo came out of the office with a grin.
"Good luck in your training my boy. We will meet again sooner than you think." he said and went down the hallway up the stairs.
"Don't listen to that maniac. He won't ever bother you again." Gast said. The ride down was a quiet one and Seph was wondering how it was to be outside. He remembered only the white room, where he slept, ate and read books that a child his age wouldn't have anything to do with. There was a dull ring and the heavy metal doors opened. This hallway led into a foyer of some kind. There were many people with white lab coats on and some people in one corner drinking coffee. They wore blue suits and the sight of them made him shiver. They looked tough…they knew about him as they watched him out of the corner of one eye. The scientists there all became quiet when they saw him. They murmured to each other and whispered things like: "Why is he here and where is he going?" Sephiroth became angry and stared back at everyone. They saw him look and they looked away at his lethal forewarning. They walked outside to a big black limo and the blue sky and the warm breeze amazed Seph. They got inside the car and they drove off leaving the Shinra mansion behind. No more needles and no more of Hojo.
"We are going to stop by at my place. My wife hasn't seen me for a long time and I miss my daughter. It will only take a few minutes, so why don't you stay in the car. O.K.?" Gast asked. Seph nodded his head and looked out the window. About a half hour later, they stopped by a neighborhood that looked a bit run down. The house that the professor walked up to was a red brick house with a black roof. Out came a woman with blonde hair, tied in a ponytail. He caught the sight of her face and found out that she had the most greenest eyes he ever seen. They seemed to glow like his own. She hugged the scientist and kissed his nose. A few minutes later a little girl about the age of four came running out. She glued herself to the professor's leg and he smiled at her. She had a dark strawberry blonde colored hair and she suddenly glanced at him. Even though the window was shaded and dark, he could almost feel her staring at him. Her emerald green eyes observing him. He turned away from the window and stared down at his hands. Gast walked up to the car and said something to his wife before getting in. Whatever it was he ignored it.
"Now Seph, we are going to drive through the worst of Midgar. So don't look out the windows." He said. Sephiroth nodded but he snuck a few glances while the professor was not watching. He saw several people in rags and very hideous looking people that moved through the crowds. There were groups of young people everywhere and then he heard shouts and angry yelling come from ahead. The Turk that drove yelled for them to brace themselves.
"Professor hold on! They are trying to stop us!" the Turk yelled out angrily. He cursed a few words and there came a sudden explosion. The car rolled to its side as fire crept up the side of the limo. The Turk yelled out something and then a few shots of guns rang out in the air. Gast grabbed a hold of Sephiroth and pulled him out of the car. Seph turned around to see mobs everywhere, yelling out cursed words and things about the Shinra Company. Many of those people fell to their deaths as the Turk shot a few rounds. More Turks came to their aid and more people joined the riot. Gast ran right through the crowd and somehow they got separated. Seph ran in the other direction thinking that they would leave him alone. He hid in the alley and watched the riot; more and more began to come. Suddenly a gang of young people saw him and shouted out to the others.
"He's one of Shinra! He's one of their monsters!" one guy yelled out. Sephiroth didn't know what to do so he ran farther back into the maze of dark passages. He could hear the sound of hard running behind him. Suddenly a few bullets flew past him barely missing him. He ran and ran until he heard the gangsters behind him scream in terror. He looked back to find a creature with it's back towards him. It turned around and smiled at him.
"Why are you just standing there for?" it asked. Its voice sounded feminine and Seph knew that this creature that saved him was a girl.
"Who are you?" Sephiroth asked. He studied her body and noticed that she was covered all in scales of red. Her eyes were a reptilian golden yellow.
"My name is Eve and you?" she asked. She giggled when no answer came out of his mouth. "I guess you have never seen a dragon girl before."
"Um…no. My name is Seph." He said. He still studied her movements and was a bit frightened of her. She was probably eleven or twelve. Something beeped and Eve groaned.
"I'm sorry my time is up. I have to leave. Professor Gast will find you in a few minutes." She said. The ground below her opened up and she warped herself through it, then it closed its gaping mouth. He wanted to ask her more questions, but then Gast came running up the alleyway.
"Are you all right? Did you get hurt?" he asked as he checked him over.
"I'm all right. Did you see her?" Seph asked still staring at the ground.
"See who?" Gast asked. He looked at Seph and then at the ground where his eyes were glued to.
"Never mind." Sephiroth said.

PART 2
It had been three years already since he left the laboratory. He was now a trained soldier; the top of his class and everyone called him the supreme soldier ever to join. He had a privilege of going into town if he liked to or do whatever he wanted, except he had to follow the Midgar rules. He never really went into town, but he read books instead. His last and final training session happened a few days ago and he past with flying colors. His weapon was a long sword he called Masmune. It looked so fragile and delicate, but underneath it's fragile coating was a far more deadlier weapon ever found on the face of the planet. It could slice through a three foot steel wall with ease! There came a knock on the door and a general came into his room.
"Sephiroth, I need you to do me a favor. I want you to deliver a message for me." He said. The man chuckled as he sat down on a wooden black-coated chair. "It's actually for my wife. Can you tell her that I'll be home tomorrow and not tonight? I don't really want to hear her yelling in my ear over the phone." He said. Seph smiled and then agreed to take the message. The general told him where the house was and left Seph with the easiest task in the world.
It was almost eleven at night when Seph arrived at the General's home. A woman, about in her late forties, opened the door. Her blue eyes were a hard color and her face had no wrinkles what so ever.
"May I help you?" she asked. She looked over the man and waited for his answer.
"I have a message from the general to his wife, Felecia. Is she here?" Seph asked.
"I'm Felecia. What does he want?" she said coldly.
"He sends his apologies to you that he can't come home tonight, but he will tomorrow." Sephiroth said. He turned around and walked down the stone steps and down the pathway toward the gate. He heard the woman slam the door and he also heard swearing and fragile things being broken. The general better not go home tomorrow if he doesn't want to loose his head. He past the bar and heard several men laughing and then he heard a knocking of chairs. This should be interesting.
As Sephiroth entered the pub he saw a group of people surrounding two men. They were two big heavy brutes having a fighting competition. Many others were playing pool, drinking away, and talking with whores. He sat down in a black leather stool and looked around himself. In the middle of the large and vast pub was the fight. To the left were people playing poker and pool. To his right were several tables with people having fun drinking away their money and pinching the butts of every woman that came by. Beyond the fight was a small band playing all sorts of music.
"What will you have, sir?" the bartender asked.
"I'll have a Midgar special, please." Sephiroth ordered.
"Right away, good sir." He replied and hastily walked toward the other end of the bar to prepare his drink. After Seph had two midgar specials, he was enjoying himself by watching the fight turn haywire! It was well past midnight when more people came pouring in. One person in particular entered the tavern and caught his interest. It was a woman with long black hair and auburn eyes. She wore a large black trench coat and thigh length boots. It must have been raining, for she was all wet. She walked over to the bar and sat next to Sephiroth. She didn't even glance at him! The bartender walked over and smiled, "Hello Miss Eve. I guess you had a very bad day. What will you have tonight dear?"
"The same as usual, a dragon slit times two." She said as she slowly took off her black gloves.
"Of course Miss Eve. Coming right up." The old man said with a smile.
Miss Eve? Eve? Hmm…where have I heard that before? She does look somewhat familiar…
"What are you staring at Mr.?" She asked. The bartender came back and placed the drink on the table. "That will be all." She told the man. She placed two gold rocks on the counter and the old man thanked her and quickly grasped the nuggets. She turned toward Sephiroth and stared at him, "So are you going to answer or not?"
"I'm sorry. My apologies miss. I thought I saw you somewhere a long time ago." Seph said.
Eve looked at him, but she couldn't make out his features. The shadows clung on to him like swarming locusts. All she caught was the color of his eye and they were an emerald green. "See ya later kid." She said.
"I'm not a kid. I'm 17 and older than you." Seph snapped out at her. He looked away and ordered another round.
"Well excuse me, so what if I'm sixteen. At least I can beat the shit out of you." She replied back to him. No one had talked back to him, ever like that! How dare she?! He turned around to see her walk off toward the other end of the pub. On the way some men called out to her, but she ignored them. One guy in particular caught her by the wrist and pulled her angrily toward his table.
"Can't you give a champion victor a little snack now? I could really use you in bed tonight. What do you think boys?" The men around them laughed and agreed.
"Get your hands off me!" Eve yelled out. She punched with her left hand into the brute's stomach. He flinched a little under her blow but he only laughed. "No honey. Tonight your mine." He snickered. "Give me a kiss precious!" He stuck his head out toward her and pursed his lips together and made a sucking noise. The bartender behind Sephiroth only sighed. He muttered, "There goes another customer…"
Suddenly, Eve ripped herself away from him with such agile movements that Sephiroth didn't know which way her hands flew. She grabbed him by the chin and he heard a bone crushing sound. Oh, that has got to hurt! The question is, where did she get the strength to do so?
She single handedly picked him up and threw him across the room. He landed near the band and ironically the band kept on playing. Some other men laughed and shouted out to her.
"Better not mess with this girl Herman!" one guy said drunkenly. She walked over to the band whispered something and the lead singer nodded. On the way back across the room, she kicked the man in the guts. He gave out a groan and some blood spilled out of his crushed maw. She walked over to Sephiroth and sat down next to him.
"I see that you are a skilled fighter." Seph said quietly.
"Of course! I'm one of the best." She replied as she took a gulp of her drink.
"I was also wondering…where…I mean where did you find the strength to crush that man's jaws?" he asked.
"That is for me to know only and for you to not know." She said. She stood up and looked at the shadowy figure and smiled, "See ya later Sephiroth." She said. He looked up from his seat and saw that she was gone already out the door. How did she know my name?Seph ran out the door into the dark streets. He looked around and then he saw Eve turning the street corner. He ran after her, his sword strapped to his back started an eerie sound that raced throughout his mind. As he turned the corner he saw her walk into another alley. He crept along the buildings like a cat and when he came near the alley he heard voices. He looked at into the alley and saw Eve standing across from another person covered in a long green cloak. The stranger's face was hooded and there was no way if he could tell if it was a guy or woman. He listened carefully to their conversation…
"I told you, he is fine. Jenova won't strike him if he stays away from the forbidden." Eve said.
"I hope your right." The voice said with a sigh. Seph now knew that it was another woman. "I must go my angel is waiting on the other side. Good luck in this world. We will meet on midsummer's night." The lady said.
"Kitty! Stop being so formal! Now go back to your damn angel and let me find mine. All right?" Eve asked. The woman laughed and she nodded," My guardian…what will I do without you?" Kitty asked.
"You got Kuja and go! He is probably waiting for you and I don't want anyone to know that we are here. See ya later sis and behave. Wait! Like you ever do!" Eve sneered.
"Why you! Why did the gods pick you as my protector and not Kuja?" Kitty hissed out with some hint of annoyance behind it.
"Do you want me to answer that?" Eve said with one eyebrow coked up.
"Actually…No. Bye for now." She said. That was when Seph saw whom the woman looked like! The lady turned toward the alley wall and twirl lightly above the ground. From behind the twirling woman, wings appeared. The wall glowed and a narrow opening could be seen. Another person he saw vaguely came up from behind the portal and his wings shot through. Delicately they grabbed the now still woman and brought her through. The gate collapsed and Eve stood there standing. "Show off." She muttered. She began to walk out of the alley when a group of men from the pub came face to face with her. Seph hid in the shadows as he watched them.
"Well looky here! Isn't this the whore who single handedly hurt my bro? You don't look like what the boys here told me about. Seven foot tall…muscular…and a demon woman? HA! Boys? Am I suppose to believe that?" the guy asked. He looked back at Eve who just stood there like a stone statue, watching them with bored eyes. Suddenly three guys threw themselves at Eve and she knocked two of them away from her, but the giant that held her from the back didn't give up. His huge, strong hands held her arms at her body and she was trapped.
"Now, this is how we tame a wild whore on the loose! Watch closely!" the leader said. He was unzipping his pants when Eve spoke up.
"Don't make me hurt you…you'll be sorry." Eve managed to say. She was afraid to change into her true form. The instincts of killing would take over and gods knew what might happen. She had to decide quickly and she had no choice but to do it. She felt darkness wash over her and she closed her eyelids.
Sephiroth who was at the shadows couldn't take it anymore and he jumped out of the shadows to knock the rapist to the dirty ground. He hurtled to the ground and looked up to see Seph standing there with Masamune in his hands.
"What are you going to do with that knife of yours? Chop some carrots? I got reinforcements!" From across the street more men emerged with guns at their sides. "I am the top ranking soldier and I command you to leave this place and leave the girl behind." He commanded.
"Oh the knight in shining armor is owned by this slut? Ha, get `em boys!" the leader said. Just then there was a red and bright light from behind Sephiroth. Seph turned around to see Eve hovering in the air. The man that was holding her was nothing but a pile of ashes. All the men including Seph stared at the young woman as she floated gracefully about two feet above ground. Her eyes, which were closed, now shot open and her auburn eyes turned bullion.
"What the fuck is going on?" one of the drunks asked. They watched as Eve's body disfigured itself and her smooth skin turned to scales. They were shiny and red like fresh blood. Her clothes evaporated into thin air and all everyone could see was her dragon tail and wings. Her hair was longer and blacker. Seph stepped back a bit as the creature softly landed. Just then someone hit him in the back of the head. He fell to the earth as he heard the most soul wrenching snarl pierce his ears. He heard the screaming of men but he was to weak to open his eyes. Then blackness settled over him.
It was bit later that night when Sephiroth awoke. He winced as his hand touch the back of his head. Shit, that's going to leave a mark. He looked around himself and to his horror there were bits and pieces of human flesh surrounding him. He looked around to see if anyone was alive, but he was the only one there. He stood up and almost fell over a shredded leg. Ironically he felt nothing at all when he looked at the blood and human parts that lay scattered about. What was he going to do? Then he heard a minute and indistinct sob in the far back of the alley. Slowly and carefully he silently walked toward the source. He saw a shadow move a bit from the corner. It was Eve huddled there all naked. She hugged her knees desperately and her hair covered her face. She silently cried to herself.
"Eve?" he whispered. He moved closer toward her and noticed that her body was covered in blood. She looked up at him, her body trembling with fright. Seph saw that her face was mixed together with tears and blood.
"No! Stay away!" Eve commanded as she chocked on her sobs. She pressed herself closer to the cold wall.
"No, Eve, we need to get out of here right now. Whatever happened to that gang will probably be back." He said. He stepped toward her.
"Are you that dense?!" she yelled out at him, "I'm that thing that slaughtered them! I killed those men and I had no choice. Go away or you'll get hurt and I don't want to hurt you." She turned her face back toward the wall and waited for him to walk away. Instead, Sephiroth lifted her up into his arms. She tried to push away, but he wouldn't release her. Eve gave up and cried into his shirt. He hushed her until she became a bit quieter.
"Come on." He said. He noticed that she was naked and he took his trench coat off and covered her with it. They walked several streets before they hit a hotel. They entered the lobby and told Eve to sit down on the bench. She did what he said and watched him walk over to the counter.
"Excuse me sir, do you have any rooms left?" he asked. The sleepy man behind the counter looked at him and turned toward the computer. After a few minutes he nodded and he gave Seph a set of keys.
"That will be a hundred gil." The man said. Seph paid the clerk and took the keys from him. He walked over to Eve and saw her dozing a bit.
"Come on. I got a room for you." Seph said quietly. He helped her to the elevator and once they got to the second floor, he escorted her to room number twenty-four. She was already sound asleep; her head lay rested on his shoulder. Sephiroth opened the door and came into dark halls that lead into a larger room. There was a bed near the balcony and a couch opposite of the balcony. He placed Eve into the bed and was ready to leave when Eve spoke up.
"Don't go…stay here…please?" she begged. He looked at her helplessly and sighed. He nodded and sat down into a comfortable chair. He watched her sleep and then exhaustion took him over. It was near morning when he sleepily opened his green eyes. He instinctively looked at the bed and to his surprise Eve was not there. He stood up and walked over to the bathroom. The shower was on, but he could hear crying muffled out by the sound of running water. He sighed again, there was nothing he could do for her. Though he still felt that there was something about her….no, he needed some coffee. Seph stood up and walked towards the door. He went down the elevator and was thankful to see a café nearby. He bought some coffee and walked out of the café, back towards the hotel. When he entered the room, Eve was still in the bathroom. He sat down and looked out of the loggia doors. The sky was bluer then ever, even though the air stank of pollution. He took his latte to his mouth and when he was about to take a drink, he froze. Eve came out of the bathroom. The problem was that she was nude! She looked at him and smiled. From out of nowhere she took out a pair of leather jeans and a black shirt.
"What's wrong Sephiroth? Never seen a naked woman?" she asked. Seph blushed hotly and averted his eyes. "Oh, so you haven't I guess." She said. He looked at her again and was tackled by her. His coffee spilled all over him and he jumped as the hot liquid touched his skin underneath his shirt.
"Shit! What are you doing?! Look what you just did…" Seph said. He looked at the woman who was still nude and turned around quickly. "You know, this is totally getting out of hand." He muttered. "Fine be an ass." She retorted. "Excuse me?! I'm not the one parading around openly!" He turned around to see Eve already dressed. He looked at her angrily and sat down back in the chair. He watched her walk up to him and she placed her hand on his wet shirt. He felt a wave of tremendous heat fly throughout his shirt. Seconds later she took her hand away. "Now you're not wet." She said and walked off onto the terrace. He stood up and followed her.
"So what are you?" he asked.
"What do you mean?" she asked.
"Last night I saw you talking to another woman and I saw her go through some kind of gate. Then I remember you…but you were different." Seph explained. He looked at her and waited for her respond.
"I am what you could call, a changeling. I can change into two forms. Hybrid and full form. My hybrid is between human and dragon and the full form is, well dragon." She explicated.
"Then…your not from around here I guess." He said.
"Of course not. I'm from another realm and the lady you saw was my sister. I am her protector, that's all." She said.
"Oh, why did you rip those men up?" he questioned.
"You know? You ask too many god damn questions!" she blurted out angrily.
"Sorry, just curious." Sephiroth retorted. This woman reminded him of some one, but who? Could it be? No. This girl was the one who accidentally slaughtered men last night and she was deadly. He was a soldier and he was trained to kill too. Could she be his equal? Then he remembered that he hadn't checked into the base last night! The general! Shit!
"Listen Eve, I have to head back to the base." Seph said and he was gone. She new that he was the one she saved years back. Nobody had his eyes and his silvery hair. A tear ran down her cheek; she had to learn how to control her forms. She remembered running away from that demon. He said he would teach her the dragon ways, which were kept hidden from her. When he wanted to fuck her she ran off, she remembered everything clearly…
"Now, we have a deal. I'll teach you your secret powers and you shall repay me." He said. He took a sip from his black glass and she saw a green kind of fluid ooze out of the corner of his lips. She shuddered, but she didn't recall anything about paying him.
"What is it that you want?" she asked. She stood straight up and looked him square in the eye. She remembered her sister telling her never to show any fear.
"First of all," he started. He threw at her feet a red silk dress with silver and gold embroidery on it. "You have to wear that. Second, well that will come later." He explained. He looked at her as she picked up the dress. It was beautiful, but a bit revealing.
"Why do I have to wear this?" Eve asked.
"Because, that is what every dragoness wears, that is unless you want to change from dragon to humanly nude. That of course, I don't mind." He said with a smile.
"No. I'll wear this instead. Where do I change?" she asked. Without a word a woman came out. She looked Mexican and her black wavy hair was tied in the back. Only a few strands of her hair dared to get in her way. She was beautiful and she wore a dark velvet chocolate dress. The thing was that she heard a strange clinking sound and saw that her bare feet were shackled.
"Follow her and she will help you into your outfit." He ordered. Eve followed the woman down a hallway into a bedroom chamber. She didn't smile or anything just led Eve to the bathroom. There was a hot bath waiting for her.
"Thank you." Eve said kindly. It was a half hour later when the woman came back in. Thank the gods that there were bubbles in the tub! The lady walked to the back of her and she started to put a kind of gel on her wet hair. Then to Eve's surprise the lady was washing her hair! When the woman was done she was about to leave when Eve called out to her.
"Miss, why are you chained up?" she asked. The servant started to cry and she turned around toward her. "Beware of him. He will try to rape you later on like he did to me…and…and he will try to control you. Save yourself before it's too late." She ran out of the room and left Eve to her thoughts. If what the woman said was true, then she should have not followed him. She slipped out of the tub and dried herself off with a white cotton towel. She slipped into the dress and looked herself over in the mirror. She did look sexy but it was too informative. Her hair was dry so she left it as it was. She did brush it. He taught her about how to change but she actually didn't. Three days later Eve entered his throne room, I guess you could call it that way. She saw a woman's head on a stick being roasted. It was the servant girl! The demon saw her walk in and he smiled. He tried to rape her but that was when her body changing took over and she was in her hybrid. He remembered him say that it can't be and that she was truly a queen and so on but she didn't remember much of his blabbering. She struck him with her oversized gleaming claw, causing a gaping wound on his human face. She remembered running away. Where she didn't remember. She knew that she hid in a forested thicket but she was once again found. She hated him and she felt anger and that was all. He had some humans with him and they were his slaves. She killed them all and fatally wounded the demon, which she dared not speak his name. She also remembered being found by Kitty, her dear sister. That was when Eve found out about the prophecy. She was Kitty's guardian and Kitty was the powerful sorceress. Things seemed to fit together…then she met the men of her life. Which one would she choose? That was why she was on a journey away from Kitty, searching.
Eve waited to see if Seph would return, but there was no sign of him anywhere. So much like him, maybe he found out about his past? Who knew? Anyway, now was the time to destroy Shinra! Oh she was going to have so much entertainment now!
It was nighttime when she saw the Turks guarding the doors of Shinra Company. She snuck past a few security guards and she slyly walked up towards the company doors.
"Who's there?" a man said. He looked at her and Eve knew, that by his flaming red hair, that he was Reno.
"Hi?" Eve started. Reno looked at her and took out his gun.
"Who are you and what are you doing on Shinra property?" he said in a harsh tone.
"Um, my friend told me to meet her here." She began. Reno watched her come out of the shadows and his eyes bulged out at the sight of her. She was gorgeous! He lowered his gun and smiled covertly. He would get some lovin tonight.
"Well, come with me then and I will show you in. Then maybe you can make a phone call for someone to tell them where you are." Reno said with a bit of deviousness in his voice. Eve knew what he was thinking, but she wouldn't let him go that far. She walked beside him and held onto his hand like an innocent young woman. She dressed carefully for this night. She would have to go find Seph and then she would go into the basement laboratory and see what she could find out about Seph's strange past. Her red dress was light and not that heavy. It felt like she was wearing nothing at all! Funny, she thought. Her hair swayed in the back of her, silky as ever and her fancy black velvet high heels fit in perfectly. Not to mention the cool black chocker she wore. She was, as every man would say, the most beautiful and seducing, innocent women ever seen.
Hojo looked out his office window and watched the Turk and the beautiful woman stroll into the Shinra manor. The woman reminded him of his so-called wife, Lucrecia. Oh, she was a marvelous scientist…too bad she was wasted. At least he had a son… wait till I get my hands on him again!
Reno escorted Eve inside the mansion and brought her a cordless phone as she pretended to admire the hallway. She is so beautiful…almost innocent. Her figure is slender and her eyes! Her eyes are a golden brown! Wait till I tell Tseng about my victorious night!
"Here you go, um what is your name again?" Reno asked somewhat politely. Eve looked at him and smiled her little smile and took the phone.
"My name is Draka and yours?" Eve asked. She had him curled around her little pinky so tight that he wouldn't know what hit him!
"My name is Reno, and might I say that your name is lovely and fits your description." He said calmly trying to be the most charming guy here. Fool, he thinks he's playing me? Wait till the tables turn on him…
"Thanks. Now I'll make a phone call. I want it to be private so is there any room in which I may take the call in?" she asked candidly. Reno thought for a moment and smiled, "Of course, right this way." He said and Eve followed. He led Eve to a room that had a reception desk, chair, and a sofa to one side. There was a large skylight right across from the door. It was just what the doctor ordered…
"I'll wait outside Miss Draka." Reno said as he walked out of the room. Eve threw the phone onto the sofa and hurriedly walked over to the skylight. There were no handles to open the window so she would have to do it a hard way. She forced her delicate hands to change into claws. She quickly traced a circle on the glass and it fell out. She prayed that there would be no shattering of the glass and she heard none. The hole was big enough for her to get through. She slipped out halfway and changed her form entirely, urging her feral instincts to stay put. She was about I story above ground and she dug her claws into the cement. She dragged herself upward and it was so effortless. Her claws just melted into the wall!
Reno waited outside; it was about ten minutes later when patience was running thin on him. How long could this girl take to be on the phone? He decided to go in. He gradually opened the door and looked inside. The cell phone was on the sofa and the young woman was nowhere to be found. He felt an icy breeze come from the skylight and that was when he noticed it. There was a large gaping fracture staring back at him. "Shit!" he yelled out. He stuck his head out and looked down below and saw nobody and when he looked up he saw large cracks in the mansion's walls. He ran out of the room and sounded the alarm of an illicit prowler on the loose.
Eve was on the top of Shinra mansion when she heard the alarm. She muttered angrily and started toward a window below her. She crashed into the window just as she heard people shouting from below. So far she was in control of her instincts. Hope that they would not betray her. She remembered when she destroyed a popular city called Paris. She summoned her deadly attack called Hell's Fury onto the innocent people. That was the only assail she knew so far and she vowed never to use it again. Her sensitive ears picked up the sounds of elevators drastically climbing their way up. She ran out of the room with the stealth of a cat and snuck up to one of the elevator's. Her massive claw ripped the steal doors open and she slashed the metal rope. It fell downward and she heard the screams of her enemy's doom. She giggled a bit and she knew it was wrong but their screams weren't that impressive as the ones in the metropolitan, which was obliterated and all by her! The doors to other elevators opened up and soldiers came pouring in. Eve quickly shifted into human and she pretended to be injured. "Help! There is a mad creature! It attacked me! It went that way, kill it!" she whined out with false pain. Boy was she a good actor! The men took her bait and ran to the other vestibule. She shifted into her hybrid and started toward the stairway. She leaped down the stairs, skipping six or seven steps on the way. She came to a door that was for authorized personnel only; good, now she could get into the Shinra subterranean vault! She glanced out into the corridor and caught the sight of the elite SOLDIERS. Shit! They aren't supposed to be here! She had no choice but to reach to the other side of the reception area. She swiftly ran across the floor towards the downstairs entrance. She heard shouting from behind and a familiar voice, but she ignored it. Eve needed to get down there and get the files. That was her only chance to save Sephiroth! The groups of men were gaining on her and to her right a there was a laser that blasted a hole the size of about three feet in diameter. She was knocked out into a couple of tables. She overturned it quickly as she heard the shouts of their commanding officer. She risked a glance and saw Sephiroth standing there with his sword masamune in one hand. He was different and evil lurked behind his sea green cat like eyes. The men were attacking her and she was only a few yards away from her goal. She felt her dry mouth begin to burn with tremendous heat and she was going to scorch them if she had to. She glanced at the ceiling above them and spit her ball of fire into the ceiling. The ceiling exploded and chunks of cement fell onto the armed forces. That was her queue to run toward the stairs that would lead her into the crypt. She ran for it and she sighed a quick relief when she felt the cool marble steps hit her bare dragon feet. There was an agonizing scream behind her and she ran franticly down the steps. It felt like forever until she hit ground zero. The walls were shaped into a castle kind of look and she pressed her body against it. She would mimic one of the gargoyle statues and her enemy wouldn't know. Her body became stiff as it changed into stone. The shadows enveloped her build and she sighed and closed her eyes.
Sephiroth slowly came to the cold and icy floor. His leather boots covered any sound of noise he would have made as he walked past the statue gargoyle. He felt like he was being watched…whatever this creature was he would exterminate it! He glanced behind him and noticed a shadow move by one of the statues. He raised masmune and swung it hard at the gargoyle sculpture. It splintered into tiny little fragments. His anger rose as he swung at each sculpture. His eyes settled down on a taller gargoyle and he walked up to it and raised his weapon high above his head. Whatever was hiding behind it would be dead in a matter of seconds. He forced his blade to fall upon his hiding victim, when suddenly his invincible sword was stopped in mid air by a gray hand. It was the statue! He stared at it and saw a bullion pair of eyes staring back. The sculpture rippled and a red creature emerged. It threw him back across the large and vast crypt. Sephiroth stood up and laughed wickedly and charged at his hidden foe. The creature emerged form the shadows as he came near, barely missing. He growled between clenched fists and he turned around to face the creature still clinging to the shadows. The candles only illuminated a bit of radiance here and there, but nothing more. His mind raced angrily trying to find out his opponents flaw. He walked toward the creature and he saw it move back. Good, it was troubled… there came a low hiss from his foe. He stood his ground and waited for this opponent to make the first move. There came another hiss and it was a long one. It seemed to laugh at him, but he kept his anger closed until he would hit the final blow. The creature slowly moved toward him, its steps slow with confidence. He heard a tiny chuckle escape from its breath.
"Pathetic…you think you can hurt me?" it said. Sephiroth's eyes widened in shock. The animal talked and it's voice sounded feminine.
"Who are you intruder? Tell me before I slash you to bits!" he commanded. The voice laughed at his words and he became impatient. He charged at the animal and stopped in his tracks. It was gone! Where was it? There was a slight tap on his right shoulder and he swung himself around. The hand that touched him was not a hand at all; it was a long scaly tail of some sort. He looked across the floor to see the creature still hanging onto the shadows. Its tail retreated back and the form started to move toward him. He instinctively attacked it and there was an agonizing scream. The creature fell into the aura of the candlelight; soldiers could be heard running down the stairs. Sephiroth was smiling with glee. He won again! He slowly looked down upon his barely alive enemy and in the candlelight he saw it raise its head weakly up. Words escaped from its mouth and Sephiroth stood there…
"Sephiroth…is this… what I get for saving…. your life?" the feminine voice asked. Seph looked closely to see the being, but it was ….NO! It was Eve…what had he done?! She looked up at him and a tear rolled down her red cheek. She suddenly snarled in pain as a dart hit her back. The soldiers came and dragged Eve's body away. They congratulated Sephiroth on his prize and patted his back. He just stood there thunderstruck. Then there came a low hissing in his mind.
"Congratulations, my son. Now rest, for I will need you another day."Then the voice was gone.
Eve awoke and her chest hurt like ice. She looked down to find a bandaged wound. She tried to stand up, but her arms and legs were strapped down. Her hands hurt and so did her whole entire body. How long has she been asleep? The wound as she knew was halfway healed, but she healed up very quickly. There was a blinding light that came on and several people came in. She hissed angrily and spat as one person in particular came into view. Hojo stood over her with a wicked smile painted across his face.
"So my pet, you have awakened. I hope you like the changes I have given to you, whatever you are." He sneered. The other scientists were staring at her and one spoke up, "Doctor? What kind of thing is that?"
"That is a new species that has surprised me as well. She seems to be half woman and half reptile of some kind." Hojo explained. He turned around, "This gentlemen is what she looked like before I, I mean we experimented on her." Eve looked in his direction and saw the pictures of her. She looked up at the ceiling and saw a large mirror. She almost died at what she saw…her body! No! He tainted her! Her dragon hands were no longer like humans, but large heavy claws of metal. Her hair was not black but they were green fire, which didn't burn anything. There was more but she couldn't bear to look at herself anymore. Kitty would help! Only she could transform her to her normal dragon side. Where was her amulet? She desperately looked around, while the scientists looked at some test results. She saw it on a white table and it shimmered as she looked at it. Anger began to rise in her. They had killed her hybrid form but they would never destroy her spirit! She pulled her wrist upward and the straps broke. One of the scientists shouted something and they came pouring at her, trying to hold her down. Another screamed as they touched her body. She got even angrier and her temper rose even higher. Her instincts were on the loose and her mind screamed at the power that they unleashed. She threw the men and they were blown back by her tremendous strength. She ripped off the rest of the contraptions and jumped off the bed. She ran toward the door, but the elite soldiers came in with their weapons. She hissed and she backed away.
"Get her you fools! That is what you were trained to do, now do as I say!" Hojo screamed out at the frozen soldiers. Eve backed away until she touched the wall. Desperately she looked around for a window but there was none. Guess she would have to make one! Her throat became once again dry and a ball of flames arrived into her mouth. She curled her lip up and the men could see her white fangs gleaming against the red flames. She ran toward them and turned around. She threw her flames against the wall and the barrier dissolved. The people behind her shielded her eyes as the blow came. She could feel the icy wind and she turned toward Hojo who was now holding her amulet. She outstretched her hand and the amulet appeared in her hand. Hojo looked at her in disbelief. "Beware Hojo, I will come back and drink your blood with pleasure." She said. She ran toward the window and hurled herself into the air. The soldiers shouted their commands and she saw some of the elite guards run below her. Her wings carried her up and that was when a large missile hit her unprotected back. She screamed angrily.
Seph stood from afar on a rooftop as he watched Eve fly. She would be free now and there was nothing he could do to make amends for. Hojo deserved whatever wrath Eve would give him. Nothing could destroy Shinra Laboratory, but a major damage could be done. He watched as the girl scream as the missile hit her. He winced and sighed, there was no more freedom for her anymore. She would die. Part of him wanted to scream, to go and help her. He stood fast, the wind whipping his silver hair. Seph watched Eve fall down, down all the way…wait…he heard his fellow soldiers screaming in terror. His eyes widened when he saw Bahamut rise from the ground. No, it looked like the great Guardian King, but it wasn't. It was another type of dragon…it hovered in the air like a demon. Its claws were black and so were the spikes on its back. It was a bloody red and it raised its head out. There were green sparks flying out from between its dagger like jaws. There was a roar and it screamed out Hell's Blaze. It opened its maw and out came a greenish black fire. People started to scream including Midgar's citizens. They ran for the nearest exits. The force of the impact almost threw Sephiroth off his feet! He looked at the Shinra laboratory and saw it burning. The soldiers used many ice and water attacks on the building, but it wasn't enough. The dragon closed its jaws and chuckled. Seph smiled too and he froze when the dragon turned his head toward him. He knew that it saw him. Time to go…he couldn't finish his thought, for the dragon came flying at him. He backed off a few steps as the reptile came at him. He ducked out of its reach but he was caught when his coat betrayed him. He was lifted off into the air. He tried to wriggle out, but the dragon held him harder. He used his sword and hit it at the dragon's wrists. The dragon looked down at him and stared at him with amusement in its eyes.
"That's it! I command you to let go of me! That's an order!" Sephiroth yelled out. Suddenly the dragon released him and he began to fall! He tried to summon materia to protect him but it wouldn't obey him and then he began to panic. He needed help and material wouldn't help one bit! Then just as suddenly, the wretched dragon caught him again. It's claws wrapped around him gently and it brought him up to its red scaly neck. He didn't know what to do until he heard it growl. He scrambled up onto the smooth dragon collar and hung on for dear life as the dragon picked up its velocity. He began to enjoy this little ride and he watched as they dropped down toward earth and back up into the sky. He had never had so much fun in his life until now. To him his past was forgotten and now he enjoyed the present. Then a strange voice struck him, but it wasn't strong and as he past the place below, the voice was gone. The howl full of distress was all he heard. Seph flew on the dragon into the sunset.
PART 3
A young girl scrambled out of the way of falling debris of Shinra Laboratory and parts of Midgar. The dragon that attacked Shinra flew off and she hid when it flew over her. Her skin tingled as she felt the winds blow through her following the creature. It was definitely a female! Hah! Shinra got bitten by its own dog! There were sounds of people yelling and screaming to put out the evil green flames. She turned around to face the inferno. Her eyes were wide in shock, the blaze reflecting themselves off her own emerald green eyes.
"Aerith!" a woman yelled out. Aerith turned around to see her mother running towards her and her father following behind. They ran to her and her father grabbed her into his arms. They ran with their eleven-year-old daughter to the nearest exits of the city. Already several long crowds of families and gangs had escaped the aftermath. Aerith clung tight to her mother's arms and watched as they past the burning laboratory. The flames burned brightly in glee and the burned air made her eyes water. She closed them shut and buried her angelic face into her moms sweater. Evil has gone on far too long…she would stop it someday.

Eve felt very sick and she had enough of flying and Seph was already asleep on her back. She circled twice and landed gently onto the fertile earth. Sephiroth awoke at the sudden impact and slid quickly off the dragon's back.
"I don't know who you are but fly away before my blade touches you!" he said.
The dragon started to laugh hysterically and Seph lowered his blade. His face blushed furiously at the sight of this dragon mocking him as if he couldn't kill it.
"What are you snickering about?! Don't you know who I am?!" Seph yelled out to the hissing dragon. He shook his head when he saw the dragon shimmer a reddish color. It walked toward him with heavy legs and it quit its laughter looked him straight in the eye and shrank to a human size.
"Oh Sephiroth…you have much to learn and right now I am tired as hell." Sephiroth couldn't believe it! It was Eve! The woman he had turned over into Hojo's terrible hands!
"Eve I'm so sorry I didn't know who you really were back there in the cellar. Forgive me?"
"I think I can let it pass." She laughed weakly," For now I must summon Mistress Kitty." Eve turned around and walked away from him, her tail swishing charmingly behind her. Eve stopped and with her hand she burned the ground with one word. Seph could see the damage done to her hybrid form and he wanted to rip Hojo apart for it. She started to speak in a prophetic tongue, which he did not recognize. The burned ground gave out a weak cry but obeyed her command. It shimmered and a woman came through. It was the same woman he saw in the alley back in Midgar! Her hair flew wildly in the rough breeze that seemed to come out of nowhere, but her emerald gold cloak kept her covered.
"Eve! What has happened to you?!" she cried out and caught Eve by the arm to support her. Though the woman did not dare come out of the burned circle.
"Would you believe it that Hojo did this to me? The good thing is that he only corrupted my hybrid form. Can you do anything to reverse it?" she asked.
"I don't know…let me try." Kitty said. She raised her arms high above her head and her face turned serious. She started to chant strange words and already little tiny beads of sweat clung to her forehead. Eve began to become transparent and Seph was worried that she would vanish. Her figure began to deform and Eve cried out. Seph stared to run toward her but Eve warned him to stay where he was and not to come any closer. He obeyed her and watched in horror as Eve changed. Her flaming green hair turned back into black long hair. Her wings mended only a little though; they were tattered at their ends. Finally it ended and Eve fell to her knees panting and murmuring under her breath. "What about my hands and my scales?" she asked. Seph was at her side helping her stand up.
"I'm sorry that wasn't done by magic or any kind of materia. You knew this would happen sooner or later. It said so in the prophecy…" Kitty said quietly.
"You didn't tell me that this was going to happen!" Eve growled in anger.
"It is part of your form it had to be! Without it you won't go on to the next stage in your draconic abilities." Kitty explained.
"I thought we weren't suppose to keep secrets from each other." Eve said.
"Kuja said it was the right thing to do. He said it would spare you the pain…" she stopped there.
"Oh did he really! I have gone through enough pain as it is! Be gone!" Eve shouted and waved her hand at the sorceress. Kitty shimmered and through the portal she disappeared. Seph was still there looking at her, bewildered to the core.
"What was that all about?" he asked quietly.
"Nothing." Eve said angrily," let me rest." Sephiroth nodded and let her sleep on the earth's floor. He built a fire and watched out for intruders during the night. During the night he couldn't keep his eyes closed and no sooner did he closed them dawn had arrived. He looked at Eve who already had a fire going. She was human once again, but not only that she wore his coat.
"Why are you wearing my coat?" he asked grumpily.
"My aren't we grumpy this morning?" she said without looking up at him.
"Can I have my coat back?" Seph asked without patience. She looked up at him sharply as if she was about to throw something at him. Her golden eyes sparkled angrily and she stood up. "Fine!" she hissed between clenched teeth. She took the coat off and threw it at him. He caught it with his right hand and looked at Eve. Now he knew why she had his coat on, she was naked.
"Um…here, you can hold onto it until you get some clothes." He said shamefully. He threw the coat back to her and she caught it. She smiled at him and put it on.
"Thanks. There's some food by the fire if you're hungry." Eve began. Seph turned toward the fire to find cooked meat sitting ready for him. After he was done eating, he looked around for her. She stood at the edge of the forest talking to something. When he took a closer look he noticed that there were two dragons hiding in the forest covering. They both held the color of green, perfect for camouflage. Soon she came back and sat down next to him.
"So why were you talking to other dragons?" Sephiroth asked.
"They saw me flying and followed because I resembled the King of dragons, Bahamut." Eve explained.
"And? Anything else?" he asked again.
"Well, I told them everything about my traveling here. They agreed to kill any Shinra soldiers who are trailing us. How far away are we from Midgar?" Eve questioned.
"Well, we are a days walk from Kalm." Seph replied.
"Who says we are to walk?" Eve snickered. She had already changed to hybrid.
"And risk revealing your intentions? Plus, I'll be leaving you. Those soldiers are going to need my help in finding you, yet I'll lead them in another direction."
"And when will I see you again?" Eve asked. Her eyes were beginning to water a bit but she shut them tightly.
"I don't know." Sephiroth answered. He stood up and she followed. "Now you go all right? Plus thanks for that free ride and another thing how did you know I was on the rooftops?"
"Your scent flew in my direction. I'll always remember that scent…of jasmine." Eve answered.
"Jasmine?" he asked and cocked an eyebrow.
"Yeah." Eve said. The moment was getting a bit too sappy and both Seph and Eve knew that.
"Well, I'll see you someday and you better put that fire out." Seph said and started to walk off. Eve looked at the flames and waved her hand. They began to diminish until the wind blew them out. She looked up again to see Sephiroth begin to cut through the forest. The pain in her body ached tremendously and some unknown force wanted her to go after him. She soon found herself running toward him. She yelled out his name and he turned toward her.
"What's wrong?" he asked.
"Um…you forgot your coat." Eve said and took it off. Seph held his breath in and thanked whatever gods there were that she was in her hybrid instead of human. He grabbed his black coat and threw it on. He smiled and began to turn around when he felt something wrap their arms around him. He looked down to see Eve hugging him, her face buried in his shirt.
"Be careful." She whispered and ripped herself away from him and she flew into the air, her wings beating furiously. He smiled and went back to getting through the damn forest.
