Chapter Two

(Irvine) "So how about we see a movie?" I asked to change the subject from how happy he and Seifer were.

"What, now?" He asked. I simply nodded. "I don't know we really should just go back to garden." He said as we stood from our seats to leave the diner.

"Oh come on Seifer will be in class for a while and hey we can leave early if you want then go back and watch the last half another time." I said trying to convince him to come with me. My way of secretly going on a date. We were outside now walking at a slow pace until we figured out where we were gonna go.

"Yeah I guess we could do that. I've never halved a movie before." Zell said getting excited about the idea.

"Never, shoot you've been missing out. Me and Squall do it all the time. Course we've never actually been in a theater," Zell started laughing. It was a quaint and sweet. he'd probably laugh at anything I said just to be polite. That's another reason we'd match well. Unlike Squall that doesn't know the meaning of humor. "We just watch one in the library or in his room until he has to work or I have class then we go back to it later."

"That's gotta suck." He commented after I finished and he stopped laughing.

"Nah its ok, it took awhile to convince him to do it but he's all for now." We started walking towards Balamb's mini movie theater side by side. If only we were on a real date right now. I could have my arm around him and everything. We'd get into the theater and get close, laughing and sharing food- well maybe not food but just being together enjoying the others time.

"You and Squall sure have gotten close," I heard him say bringing me out of my thoughts.

"Huh? oh yeah. He's like my best friend now." I said as we turned down another street.

"You two would make a cute couple." Zell said slyly and laughed afterwards.

'We'd make a better one' I thought to myself. "Nah it wouldn't work. I mean he's a fox and all but not really my type."

"Oh, so what is your type?" He asked.

'You' was the first word that popped into my head but I could never tell him that. You never know what a little knowledge could do to a persons relationship. Like they say silence is golden. "Oh nothin' special just someone that makes me feel good inside and out ya know?" I said looking down at him smiling.

"Yeah I know." He answered smiling to himself probably thinking about Seifer.

We got into the movie theater, got our tickets and went to find some seats. "Lets sit in back so we can talk about the people in front of us." I said as we moved through the dimly lit place.

"I wouldn't want it any other way." Zell said laughing afterwards. His laugh could light up the heart of a devil I swear it. We took two empty seats in back and luckily the place wasn't too crowded.

"You want some food?" I asked him.

"Look who you're asking. I could eat all day if it was possible." He said.

"Yeah me too!..... well maybe not as much as you." We shared a brief laugh. Its amazing how much we have in common and even more amazing how he still doesn't see what a good pair we'd make. "I'll be right back." I said and quickly left for the snack bar.

When I got back the movie started and we started in on the food. Things were going so great we forgot all about seeing only half of the movie and ended up watching the whole thing.

Class was over half an hour ago before the movie ended. Seifer was waiting in his room where Zell was supposed to be. He paced back and forth angrily glancing at the clock whenever he passed it.

"I can't believe that little shit lied to me." He said to himself. Stopping in his tracks he roughly ran his hands over his hair. He sighed and dropped his hands. "Where are you?" He asked the air and turned his attention towards the door when he heard loud voices on the other side.

"And remember when that guy thought it was in the elevator-"

"Yeah and he was all freaked out but nothin' happened."

"That lady in front of us I bet she pissed in her seat." The two voices laughed loudly. Seifer went to the door and opened it a crack to hear better, sure enough it was Irvine and Zell. He glared at the two of them walking together, laughing and talking like they were the only ones in the world at the moment. With every thought Seifer got more annoyed and narrowed his eyes. When the two got closer he moved back into the room and let the door close.

"There'd better be a good explanation for that little scene." He growled under his breath while he waited for Zell to come in.

Out in the hall Zell and Irvine were nearing Seifer's door. "So hey maybe we could see another movie some time." Irvine said.

"Yeah why not but next time we half it and don't forget. I hope Seifer's not upset or anything." Zell said suddenly feeling guilty for not having kept his promise.

"Shoot why would he be upset, you were just havin' fun." Irvine said trying to make Zell feel better about the situation.

"I know but I mean Seifer's been acting funny today, I just don't wanna make it worse or anything."

"Don't worry, just blame it all on me." Irvine said putting an arm around Zell's shoulders.

"Really? Thanks man. He's probably waiting for me." Zell said getting closer to the door.

"Yeah see ya around." Irvine waved and started walking to his own room. Zell turned around and opened the door walking into a darkness.

"Hey Seifer I'm here." He called into the room and walked all the way in slowly. "Why is it so dark in here?" He asked himself and when he turned around to get the light switch Seifer was standing right in front of him. "Ah- hey Seifer," He said calming himself from the startle. "Sorry I'm late, me and Irvine just went to see a movie and we were only gonna see half of it but lost track of time and-" Zell rambled on with his reason for being late while moving past Seifer to go to the light switch. "Why is it so dark in here?" He asked flicking the switch up.

Seifer turned to face him again, arms crossed with the same sour expression on his face. Zell looked back at Seifer confused at why he was acting that way.

"You lied to me." Seifer said quietly not changing his expression or position. "I- I know and I'm sorry but you know how it can get hangin' out with Irvine." Zell tried explaining. Seifer started moving closer to his little companion.

"No I don't know," He said in the same low tone he leaned down getting eye level with Zell and whispered harshly. "Why don't you tell me." He glared at Zell while he straightened back up and Zell looked horrified at him.

"I don't understand. W- what do you mean? We- we were just watching a movie that's all." Zell stumbled out as he backed away from Seifer. "What's wrong with you, since when did it matter if I hung out with someone? I know I promised to meet you here sooner but I forgot. It happens and I'm sorry."

Zell waited for Seifer's reaction. 'What am I doing?' Seifer thought and he shook his head and walked over to Zell who drew back a little. "I know you didn't do it on purpose and I'm sorry for..... this- attacking you like that." He pulled Zell towards him into a hug. "Its fine you can go out with whomever you want and see movies and whatever okay. Forgive me?" Seifer asked moving so that Zell was looking up at him.

"Yeah of course, you were just upset I understand. Its ok." Zell said still not sure himself what was going on.

"Exactly, so we're alright then?" Seifer said letting him go.

"Yeah," Zell smiled and Seifer leaned down to kiss him Zell put his arms around Seifer again and melted into the kiss. He smiled up at him when they pulled away. "So how was class?"

"Funny." Seifer said sarcastically but he was smiling and Zell knew everything was alright.

(Irvine) I walked into my room feeling on top of the world. I just spent the afternoon with Zell and it was almost like a real date. A look into the possible future.

"Yeah if I keep dreaming."

All my hope deflated when I remembered he was already with someone and not just any someone. A seemingly jealous Seifer fucking Almasy and they claim to be happy. I could make Zell happier than Seifer ever could.

I sighed and flopping down on my bed I took my hat off and put it beside me. "If I could just have a chance to tell him without ruining his relationship now." I thought about it for a moment and then I remembered what he'd said to me before we got to the movies.

"You and Squall sure have gotten close." "You'd make a cute couple."

No I wasn't thinking of making him jealous with Squall. That wouldn't work, he gave me a better idea though. I'll show him how good we'd be together without uttering a word of how I feel about him until I notice his own feelings for me.

"Yeah that's it!" I said sitting up. "I just need to be careful at how I do it. Maybe that future might happen after all." I smiled to myself and lied back down. So Seifer might be a little hurt in the end, he'll bounce back easy. Besides the way he's been acting lately maybe he doesn't deserve Zell maybe its not their time to be together. But once I get my hands on him they'll never have that chance again.

It was dinner time at the garden and the gang sat at their usual table in the cafeteria. "Don't forget about Xu's birthday party tonight." Quistis said to everyone.

"Don't worry Quisty we'll be there." Selphie reassured her.

"Good and please lets not ruin it." Quistis added giving sharp looks to the guys.

"You mean make it fun?" Seifer said and the others laughed except Quistis.

"Whatever. I'm going to go make sure everything's ready for tonight. I'll see you all later." She said getting up from the table.

"I love parties." Selphie said taking a bite into her hamburger.

That night everyone was at Balamb's restaurant celebrating Xu's birthday. "I can't believe you had the place reserved." Xu said to Quistis who smiled at her.

"Anything for you Xu." Quistis said and gave her a kiss.

"Gross." Zell said to their kissing.

"Save it for the after party." Seifer added.

"Whatever, come on lets go mingle." Xu took Quistis' hand and they walked through the crowd together.

"Aren't they a cute couple?" Selphie asked the guys.

"Yeah like bird shit." Seifer said sarcastically.

"Hm don't be jealous. I think you and Zell are cute too." Zell smiled at Selphie's comment and Irvine, standing not far away, rolled his eyes.

The music changed and went to a more up beat tempo song. "Woo that's my song!" Selphie yelled grabbing Zell's hand. "Come on snacky pants dance with me."

"Ha ha okay." Zell said laughing as Selphie dragged him away. He smiled and waved to Seifer as he went. Seifer frowned at the two of them and took a sip of his beer. He watched them together bouncing around and laughing with each other getting more annoyed by the second. 'That should be me out there with him. Where does he get off dancing with someone else. They didn't even invite me.' He thought angrily.

"Hey are you alright?" Squall asked him as he joined the ex-knights side. Seifer looked at Squall and put on a fake smile.

"I'm fine, why wouldn't I be?" Squall shrugged and leaned himself against the refreshment table beside Seifer. Irvine had been watching Zell and Selphie dance too, mainly Zell, with a smile on his face the whole time.

'Man if I could just get a piece of that action.' He thought. Then he was struck with another idea and left the table going to the d.j. Irvine talked with the man for a second about changing the song. "Yeah sure." The d.j. replied and Irvine smiled. "Thanks." He -the d.j.- held up a hand as a your welcome and Irvine left. Then the cowboy joined Seifer and Squall again.

"Come on Squall dance with me." He said tugging on the commander's arm. "Why not." Squall said surprisingly and followed Irvine out on the floor.

"Yeah why don't you all go dance." Seifer said to himself. He sighed with aggravation and took another drink.

When he looked back out to the dance floor he saw Zell surrounded by Selphie and Irvine! Squall had been pulled away from them by Quistis and Xu. Seeing the three of them made Seifer beyond angry. Zell was smiling the whole time being smashed between the two of them all dancing in a sensual way to the music that Irvine requested. Seifer started squeezing the glass in his hand getting enraged at the sight.

'The hells is he doing?' He asked himself mentally. Irvine was having the time of his life getting as close to Zell as possible. Grinding himself against Zell's back side and Zell was facing Selphie and holding her hips while the two of them playfully danced together. At that moment Seifer was so angry he couldn't hear anything but Selphie's giggles and a loud thumping sound probably from his own heart. His eyes saw nothing but Zell's smile and Irvine's smirk as he looked down at the martial artist. He could feel the fire burning inside of him and he dropped his glass to the floor, getting looks from the other people nearby.

Seifer stomped angrily through the crowd pushing people out of the way. When he got to Zell he roughly grabbed his arm and yanked him from between Selphie and Irvine.

"Hey Seifer wanna dance?" Zell asked smiling at his lover but Seifer wasn't smiling back. He pulled Zell a little farther away from the group. "Hey what's wrong?" Zell asked, the worry from that afternoon returning.

"What the hell do you think you're doing?" Seifer barked at him.

"What? I'm dancing that's it. I don't get it." Zell stumbled out looking shocked at the man in front of him.

"Not like that you're not. Lets go." Seifer said tightening his grip on Zell's arm he dragged him through the crowd towards the exit.

The others had been watching but didn't really hear what was going on. "What was that about?" Selphie asked no one in particular.

Irvine watched the two of them leave solemnly. "I don't know." He said to Selphie 'But I don't like it.' He finished his thoughts and kept staring at the door until someone tugged on his arm.

"Forget them lets dance." Selphie said and she pulled him towards Squall and the others. They were all dancing in a big circle but Irvine wasn't having as much fun as he was before.

Outside of the restaurant Seifer opened his car door and forced Zell into the passenger seat. "Ow hey!" Zell said as the door was closed. He waited for Seifer to go to the drivers side and get in before speaking up. "Seifer! What the hells is wrong with you? Why are you acting like this?" He asked but the tall blonde didn't say anything he just started the car and it screeched as they sped off.

Zell stared at him through the dim lights from the street as they drove back to the garden in silence. 'What's going on with him?' Zell asked himself and looked away from the angry man beside him. All kinds of thoughts were running through his head but the main one Zell didn't want to believe so he shook it off. 'No he's not like that. He'd never hurt me like that. He's just upset or a little jealous. Yeah that's it.' Zell convinced himself that that's all it was and decided to wait for them to get in Seifer's room before they talked.

When they got to the garden parking garage Seifer turned off the car but no one moved. Seifer sighed loudly and Zell waited nervously for him to speak. "........I was just jealous that's all." Seifer finally spoke. Zell kept his gaze out the window.

"That's what I thought." Zell replied quietly.

"Is your arm ok?" Seifer asked reaching over to touch the slightly bruised flesh. Zell stiffened but relaxed a little when Seifer gently ran his hand over the skin. He leaned over and kissed the bruise just as gently. "Come on, let me make it up to you." Seifer got out of the car and ran over to open Zell's door then pulled him out. They both walked back to the dorms through the almost barren halls. Seifer was behind Zell with his arms around the boys neck. To by standers they seemed like the perfect couple as always.

When they got to the safety of the boys dorm hall Seifer started playing on Zell's neck with his lips. He brushed them against the back of his neck kissing his way down to Zell's shoulder. Moving his mouth up Zell's jaw line he whispered, "Sorry." then nibbled the bottom of Zell's ear. Zell leaned back against the touches and smiled as they went inside their room.

Seifer didn't waste anytime tearing Zell's clothes off and they both kicked their shoes off with their feet. When Zell was naked Seifer turned him around to face him and devoured his mouth while Zell worked on getting Seifer undressed. The two made their way to the bed and crawled on top of it. Zell was pressed against the back wall where the headboard of the bed met the wall.

They were both on their knees and Seifer was already positioning himself near Zell's opening. He sucked on the smaller boys neck like a vacuum and when Zell reached for the lotion on the night stand Seifer took it from his hand and tossed it to the floor.

Zell looked down at the bottle confused but only for a second because Seifer rammed himself inside Zell's hole making his eyes squeeze shut in pain. He clenched his teeth hard trying not to cry out in pain and he clutched what bit of the headboard he could. Seifer pulled Zell's hands away from the headboard and pinned them to the wall above his head and held Zell's wrist together in place with his own hands.

Rocking slowly at first Seifer started thrusting in and out of the wet hole each thrust getting a little harder. His weight was forcing Zell to be smashed against the wall and his dick to be pressed against the headboard. Zell breathed harshly against the wall trying to pull back from it but Seifer's thrusting kept pushing him against it.

'You wanna dance like a slut then I'm gonna treat you like one.' Seifer mentally told his little lover. His pounding into Zell's backside increased almost viciously and when he hit Zell's prostate, "Aaaaahh!!" he cried out in pleasure throwing his head back against Seifer's shoulder. Seifer released Zell's hands and grabbed onto his erection jerking him off.

Zell dropped his arms behind Seifer's head and positioned his head on his shoulder so their mouths could meet. They crushed their mouths together and kissed each other sloppily until they both came.........

Later that night while Seifer was in the shower Zell lied in their bed after having cleaned himself off. He hugged the pillow and squeezed it in his hand. He kept replaying what happened that day between him and Seifer. In the hallway, at the restaurant, when he came back from the movies, the party and now. None of it made any sense to him. He knew Seifer was jealous but just how much and why?

Zell knew he loved Seifer and would never leave him or cheat on him so why was Seifer so worried about it. He sucked some air and let it out shakily then looked at the arm Seifer grabbed at the party. It wasn't sore anymore but there was still a little red bruise showing. The sight sent thoughts and questions racing through his mind.

'Why? I know Seifer, he loves me, he can't be..... like that. He's not.' Zell couldn't even think the words and knowing he almost did meant there was a possibility of it being true. Tears started forming in his eyes but when he heard the bathroom door open he quickly wiped them away.

Seifer got into the bed beside Zell and wrapped his arms around him. He kissed Zell's head and hugged him close then whispered. "I love you." The tears started streaming from Zell's eyes now feeling bad for even having thought what he did about his lover. 'How could I think he'd ever hurt me on purpose.' He scolded himself then snuggled into Seifer's hold and whispered "I love you." back.
