Chapter One

In a small town in Pittsburgh Pensylvannia. Three cars sped down the smooth concrete of the street. Tire tracks made themselves known through the moisteness that the rain left sleeping on the ground earlier. "Fuckers!" Shouted a young adult, about twenty one years of age. He seemed like a pretty average male to some, minus, the fact the he had long brown hair worn in a ponytail.

The young man is also tall, around an even 6', built lean but strong. He brushed down his legs exaggerating the wetness the car had splashed on him by a bit. "Can't anybody drive in the rain without actin' like it's the end of the damned world. Sheesh." After another brush down his legs, he then aimed his attention straight ahead and looked both ways before crossing the busy street.

At Ewalt St on 43rd. A tall blonde around 6'2 approximately around age twenty one or two, emerges from a storage shed carrying a ladder between his hands extended out at arms length from him. His blonde hair is spiked but gelled back from his face, minus a few wondering strands here and there.

The young man set the ladder on the side of the house and started up the rungs one by one. He wasn't half way up there before a car pulled up infront of the house beeping its horn. The blonde looked over his shoulder to whom ever had the sudden need to want his attention.

A little girl around the age of ten emerged from the car first holding a suit case against her with the handle in each hand. She looked up at the blonde and frowned. 'You've got to be kidding me.' He thought and looked a little further past the car for the driver.

A lovely blonde woman popped her head out of the car before ducking it back inside. She reappeared this time with sun glasses over her eyes and another suit case in her hands. "Seifer." She said in a low tone before she got closer to the house.

Hearing the squish underneath her books, she casts her eyes downward then rolled them up to the sky clearly exhausted with the weekly rain showers Pittsburghs been having. "What the fuck are you doing bringing the kid around here." Seifer complained more than asked.

He looked down finding his footing then he descended the ladder carefully so he wouldn't slip on the moister. "I thought you said I wasn't gonna have to babysit anymore." The girl sucked her cheeks in and shoved the suitcase in Seifer's hands.

"I just need this one favor, one last time. What kind of brother are you anyway?" She asked looking over her shoulder reaching out a hand for her daughter. The little girl shyly walked over to her mother and took her hand.

Seifer, letting out an annoyed sigh, grabbed the suit case from the girl and rubbed her head tossling her hair. "Hey squirt." The girl kicked the dirt without response. "Whatever." He muttered then looked at his sister. "Quistis, come over here please." She followed him with grievance written on her face.

"What, Seifer? What?" Quistis asked when they were far enough away from her daughter's ear shot.

"Dear sister," He began. "regardless the charade put on when you're here. Relm is a real little bitch and I'd rather not be responsible for her for even a second." Crossing her arms Quistis scowled deeply at her brother, then leaned up to his face saying. "It will only be for a week or two, she's your niece deal with it."

"I don't want to deal with it." Seifer mocked.

Shoving a hand in his face Quistis spun on her heals and stalked over to the black sports car. "Bye sweety," She blew Relm a kiss. "Be good for your uncle."

"Bye mommy." The girl finally spoke up. When the car started up, Relm joined Seifer by the house and she smiled up at him. Cocking an eyebrow Seifer looked back at Quistis's car shouting. "You owe me for this!"

Quistis flipped him off and drove up the street. When the car was no longer visable a mischievous grin broke out on Relms face like an insane clown. Seifer popped a hand down on the girls head leaving it there saying under his breath. "You even think about it and you're dead." Removing his hand from off her shaking head he walked over to the ladder.

"I've got too much shit to do before Irvine gets back, so try not to get in my way." He climbed the ladder though making sure the little girl had no plans to kick it out from under him. 'God I hate that little idiot.' He grouched mentally.

"Take your suit cases in the house, no sense in standing outside watching me. I might be a while." Seifer pulled a hammer from his belt side and started to fix a window shutter that had fallen free from the hinge during a violent storm that hit a few days ago.

Relm watched for a while, then she went inside the house taking her luggage with her. She dropped it to the floor carelessly then wandered into the kitchen. "Let's see if they've got some good junk around here."

Stripping her jacket away, she let it fall from her hands onto a kitchen chair. "Hmm?" Going over to a large wooden cabinet Relm shoved the doors apart and skimmed for something edible in her eyes. "Cookies...Cookies...Where do they keep all the good stuff?" She asked herself aloud.

Hearing the screen door slam she turned around seeing her uncle walk into the kitchen. "Where are all the snacks in here, how's a kid supposed to eat?" She asked. Seifer ignored her commentary and walked over to one of the taller shelves grabbing a bag of Oreo cookies. "Here." The bag was slid across the counter towards her. "And try not to eat them all they're Irvine's not mine."

Half-ass grateful she took the bag into her arms and opened them with a little force. Grabbing at least six she put the bag on the counter and walked past Seifer into the livingroom saying. "Another one?"

Twisting the corner of his mouth up joined by an angry glare. Seifer grabbed a few cookies hisself and joined her in the livingroom. "What the hell is that supposed to mean, another one. I don't date that much." Dropping his weight down onto a couch he started untwisting his oreo's tops off then he licked the cream out.

Relm watched the whole time in disgust. "What are you five?" She remarked taking another bite from her cookie. Just as Seifer was going to open his mouth, the screen door slammed shut in the distance. Seifer stood up knowing who it was, concidering, he was the only person that came into someone's house, even a strangers without knocking.

Relm slumped herself down onto an arm chair to watch her uncle pull his newest boyfriend into a hug. "Heeeey," Said her uncles boyfriend.

'Well he's loud.' She thought. The two of them broke the hug only at arms length, to look at the other person. "Did you find what you wanted?" Seifer asked. His boyfriend shook his head shrugging a shoulder. "Nope. They didn't even put it on the lot today so I've gotta go back tomorrow."

"Ahehm." Relm cleared her throat to break up their little conversation. "Am I suddenly invisable now?" Seifer rolled his eyes and seperated from Irvine completely. "Relm this is Irvine," He began.

Relm hopped off the chair and placed her hands on her hips. Irvine laughed seeing already that she was one of those bad ass children who play angels in fictional stories when their parents are around. "Irvine, this is my niece Relm."

"Heh heh," Irvine dropped down to a crouch and snapped up the unsuspecting girls hand. "Huh?" She uttered.

"Nice to meet you little lady." The brunette said with a nice smile.

Relm blushed slightly and kicked the carpet shyly. "Yeah you too." She replied.

Seifer's eyes nearly bugged out of his head and dropped to the floor, luckily his mouth would have been down there to catch them if they did. "I see you like oreo's." Noted Irvine seeing the crumbs around her mouth and a stray cookie abandoned on the arm chair. "I'll be sure to bring another bag next time I come over."

Relms blush deepened and she walked over to the couch and sat down. Irvine smirked happily and straightened himself up. "How did you do that?" Seifer mouthed too low for Relm to hear. Giving Seifer a quick kiss he walked by saying. "Because I know how to handle these kinds of people."

Just as he was about to sit down, Irvine popped hisself right back onto his feet. "Shit, I forgot something in the car." He started for the hallway to the front door. When the screen slammed shut Relm got off the chair returning to her usual demour saying. "Hang on to this one."

Seifer shot her a dirty look and smacked her with the back of his hand on her shoulder. "I'm going upstairs to unpack, enjoy your boy toy." Relm walked into the hall turning to go to the stairs when the door burst open again. Irvine walked in followed by a big white Samoyed dog.

Relms eyes widened bigger than saucers and she ran over to the animal bringing it into a hug. "Oh my god, we have a dog?" She cheered. Seifer walked into the hallway with everyone else and saw Irvine squeezing past the two of them to get over to Seifer.

"You just have all the answers, huh?" Said the blonde stooping to pick up his nieces luggage. "Come on and help me put this crap away." He was already on his way upstairs with Irvine on his heals.

Relm looked after them and called to Irvine. "Hey, what's his name?" Irvine turned around a second saying. "Lasso, beats the hell out of Lassy don't it." He laughed to himself and continued upstairs.

Relm nuzzled her nose to the dogs saying in a cutesy voice. "Hey Lasso, my name is Relm."

In the spare bedroom, Irvine found Seifer stuffing Relm's clothes into a dresser. "I thought your sister was a lesbian?" He wondered the question outloud. "She is." Replied Seifer, not pausing in his task to talk. He still had to start dinner and now with an extra mouth to feed he actually had to do it.

"But dating General Xu, anything can happen." Irvine laughed hearing that; his sisters partner did seem a little butch sometimes, especially for a hair dresser.

"They adopted her as a baby. Quistis insisted she pass her charisma on some poor dummy and Xu agreed." Seifer explained. Irvine nodded noting that little girl didn't look like either of them, that and it wasn't likely either of the women would want artificial insemanation.

Irvine opened the second suit case and started to unloud the clothes into the walk in closet on hooks and hangers. It was silent as the two of them worked, when the job was done they met in the middle of the room and pulled each other into the kiss they wanted downstairs.

Irvine's hands came up onto Seifers cheeks so he could lean into the kiss more. The blonde backed them up to the bed and laid them down on it. His hips moved up and down against the brunette creating a warm friction between them. Irvine's hands slipped into the waist band of Seifer's pants in back hightening the want for each other.

"Excuse me." Said a little voice by the door. The two of them froze and looked down seeing Relm standing at the entry way of the door with her arms crossed. "If you're gonna do that, mind going into your own room?" She stated more than said.

"What do you want brat?" Asked Seifer. "Nothing, I just wanted to know if Lasso had any toys in the car we could play with." She said directing it to Irvine. "Sorry, they're all at home." He replied.

Relm pouted, but grabbed the dogs collar anyway to steer him out of the room. A grin appeared on her face as she closed the door saying. "Try not to wreck my bed." Then the door shut with a dull click. Seifer sighed dropping his weight down on Irvine, who only laughed and patted the blondes butt. "How long are ya in for?"

Moving off the bed, Seifer stood up reaching out a hand to Irvine, to help him up as well. "At least a week or two she said."

They walked to the door seeing Relm pull her ear from the door and start whistling down the hall before she laughed and ran to the stairs. "Little pervert." Seifer glared.

Irvine shrugged replying. "She ain't so bad." They walked to the stairs and walked down into the livingroom seeing Relm and Lasso crawling around in a circle.

"Wanna help me with dinner?" Seifer asked. Leaning over a bit, Irvine kissed Seifer on the shoulder saying, "Sure. What're we making?"

"McDonalds!" Shouted Relm, standing with a fist raised in the air.

"Not in this weather," Seifer said directing the little girls attention out the window with a pointed finger. Huffing Relm looked back at her uncle. "This is the best kind of weather."

Irvine watched the twos verbal assualt with the air and threw out. "I can make hamburgers."

Relm looked insulted. "But there's a huge difference."

"Psh, yeah I don't spit on mine." Said Irvine. He walked over to the little girl reaching out a hand that she took. "But it's not a big deal I can drive there."

"Yay!" Relm cheered again, glad to get her usual way. "Don't give her special treatment she's a brat." Seifer piped up.

"If he said he didn't mind than he doesn't mind." Looking back at the brunette. "Come on Irvine." Seifer exhaled in bitterness, but let the matter go. "Fine do whatever the hell you want." He stalked into the kitchen hearing Irvine call to him.

"I'll make it up to you, you know I always do."

"Yeah yeah, come on." Said Relm pulling the brunette by the arm. When the door closed Seifer started the stove. Even though Irvine would probably bring something back for the both of them, he wasn't about to put that garbage in his system.

"Why the hell do adults let kids walk all over them?" He muttered to himself in blantant disapproval. Searching through the cabinets he grabbed a can of soup and some bread sticks. It was simple, but he liked comfort foods.

"I just hope Irvine can keep quiet tonight." Just as he turned on the stove and dumped the soup into the pot a snap of lighting cascaded through the air hitting something outside and the power went out. ".......Fuck." He muttered.

Seifer filled the house with candles which took a while to find until he could locate the flash light from the upstairs closet. Just as he lit the wick of the last one the door opened and Irvine and Relm paraded in. She was humming happily waving a happy meal bag and toy from inside. "What happened to all the lights?" She asked.

"What do you think happened, Einstine?" He put his hands on her shoulders steering her to the coffee table. "Eat here." He didn't like the kid but sitting alone in the kitchen wouldn't be his first choice if he were younger and the lights were out.

"Well this blows." Announced Irvine. "What the hell are we gonna do in the dark?" Seifer looked him over. 'I can think of a few things.'

Irvine plopped down beside his niece and showed Seifer the bag of, what he already smelled, was chinese food. "I didn't know what you liked sooo," He took out the contents of the bag. "I got the pork fried rice for me and the chicken kung pow for you." Irvine handed Seifer the box and he opened it up.

"Why not." The blonde replied. He reached into the bag for a plastic fork and some duck sauce.

The three of them ate silently, with Lasso sniffing around for a hand out. Relm gave him six french fries and nothing more. She mostly liked the nuggets anyway. When dinner was over Relm said she'd be fine playing downstairs with the dog, so the two of them casually went upstairs saying they were ready for bed.

"Come get me if you need something." Seifer was saying before they left. "Don't just act like this place is yours because I'm not walking around."

"Yeah yeah." She waved them off. "Have fun sleeping." She kidded, knowing what they were actually going to do but she'd give them their privacy this time.

The second they got into the room they were on the bed tearing each others clothes away but not off. Their shirts were lifted or unbuttoned and their pants were yanked down past their knees. They groped and kissed each other, while slamming their hips up and down meeting with the other persons.

They moaned into each others mouths, panting then moaned again. Seifer's arm wrapped around Irvine's waist before he took his free hand between them grabbing the brunettes member giving it hard tugs up and back. Irvine's legs clentched Seifer's hips between them as he enjoyed the feeling.

Hooking an arm under Seifer's, Irvine used his opposite hand to grab onto Seifer's member as well. The two of them jerked in rhythm, french kissing moving their hips faster and faster until they both shared a muffled release. Irvine into the pillow infront of him and Seifer into Irvine's shoulder.

Waiting to regain their breathes they then coiled up in each others arms pulling the blanket around them getting ready for bed. "Too bad that's all we can get with the squirt around." Seifer said mildly, but Irvine could hear the annoyance in his voice.

"It aint' gonna be for too long. What's two week?"

"A year. Especially now without anybody needing carpenters assistance for shit." Kissing Irvine he rolled over so that he was mostly on top of him. "Gotta fill the gap with something."

"Ha, I'd like to. But maybe tomorrow, doesn't she have school?" Irvine asked. "Yeah, but I thought you said you'd be at the auction all day." Irvine scoffed hearing that saying. "Maybe not all day."

Smiling, Seifer licked Irvine's mouth into another kiss. They then tightened their grip on each other and fell asleep.
