The Final Stand

"TO ME!! TO ME!!" Aeris shouted! Her home world was being attacked by creatures and she didn't know how to defend it! The council had said that war was their only hope, but she feared that this time they were wrong! The battle was fierce the cries of the falling could be heard all around, and the smell of blood was heavy on the air. Aeris stood alone atop her mighty golden chocobo staff in hand and armor glimmering, face fierce and cold as she fought, killing, destroying with hands that once

healed. "TO ME MY WARRIORS!! TO ME!!" She shouted to her lagging forces to come to her, and the fighters, both young and old looked upon her and held on, because the mere sight of her fighting so bravely brought hope to their hearts! She was soon encircled by huge beasts that looked so like a troll, it's huge hairy arms dangling to the ground, it's skin a brownish gray, with a head to small for it's huge body, and teeth as big as daggers. "YOU SHALL NOT KILL ME!! FOR I

AM AERIS OF MIDGAR!! AND IF I DO NOT FEAR YOU OR DEATH!! NOW COME TO ME AND FACE YOUR DEMISE!!" Her heart shaped face was contorted with fury as she blasted through the enemies ranks like if they were mere twigs! But for every blast that she gave off her energy faded and still they came on!! She knew what she must do but she

loathe to do so! Thinking and fighting were not made to be together and so it was that they got past her attacks and charged her! "AHHHH!!" Pain swept through her small body as she was flung of her chocobo, with her last bit of energy she charged them once more and broke through, "RETREAT!! RETREAT!! RETREAT!!! RETRE-" she never finished her cries for she was hit from behind and the world went black….
