The reason I'm writing this is for the following reason:

I wanted to experiment with "yaoi" and see if it might be something I want to write about more often.

Is that, Barret is so neglected. He was one of the main characters in the game and he barely gets any recognition!

So without further ado...

He couldn't take it much longer. He had been watching from a far for so long... that damn spiky haired freak had no idea how much he was torturing him. Day after day, night after night, Cloud refused to notice anything.

Barret had tried to display what he... "Felt" to the damn bastard time and time again, but the ass was just so damn naive!

If the golden-hued haired freak didn't notice him soon, he was going to just one day kill the obnoxious piece of shit.

Why had Barret been so close to me lately? The man just insisted to be by his side. Not that he minded, he actually invited it, but did the dark colored man feel the same way about him?

Sure there was Tifa, but still he seemed to be a little bit more connected with... "The man of his dreams" to put it simply.

He wouldn't lie and say he had no feelings for Tifa, that wasn't true; he just didn't feel the same about her as she did about him. As much as he wanted to, he couldn't help it.

He had to stop pretending... more and more he was sure Barret felt the same for him as he did... but... how could he say it?

He couldn't just go up to the man and say, Please take me, then kiss him!? That would be just... weird...

Everyone was goin' out tonight, cause of it bein' our anniversary since defeating that silver haired freak of nature: Sephiroth.

He had come up with a last minute excuse to no go: Didn't feel well. Original, stupid, and lame, but it had worked nonetheless...
But he really hadn't wanted to because he was sure the stubborn ass pansy; Cloud, would be sure to be go. But it didn't matter, he had the whole night planned out:

Barret's voice, however, got a little cheery, "Oh really?" he grinned inwardly.

She couldn't talk about it any more, and quickly finished by saying, "Well... bye..." and she was gone.

He, Tifa, and Cloud were the only ones who lived here. Oh, Marlene did to, but she was over at a friend's house tonight. Everything was working in his favor...

Cloud just lie there in his bed, trying not to think of Barret, witch obviously made him think of him. God he wanted to be with Barret so bad... but... how?!

A knock on his door caught him off guard.

"W-Who is it?" He asked stuttering before regaining his composure.

Slowly the door swung open, it's hinges giving out an annoying squeak, which revealed it to be Barret.

Oh shit, oh shit, oh shit, oh shit! Why hadn't he gone with the others?!

"Hey ya' spiky-assed freak, why didn'cha go wit tha others?" He asked in his usual tone. But... there was still something different about his voice...

"Wasn't up to it..." He replied curious to hear his fantasy lover's reply. "Why you stay?"

"I had..." He paused. "to find out something..." he finished after a long moment.

"Like...?" He wanted to hear the rest of Barret's story.

Barret smirked... Cloud was just making it easier to explain everything.

He just looked at his, what he thought his soon-to-be lover's eyes, taking in the beauty of the crystal blue... Perfect... he thought.

"Cloud do you ever... think bout' meh?" He couldn't help it, he just had to get straight to the point.

"What do ya mean...? 'Think about you'?" He now had Cloud's full attention.

Barret had already, unconsciously, walk over next to Cloud, and couldn't it back any longer.

"Like this," He stated quickly before smashing his lips onto Cloud's.

Cloud didn't know how to react. It had happened so suddenly! One minute they're talking and the next Barret is cramming his lips onto his and was practically being for entrance into is mouth.

He did the one thing he could think of: He kissed him back. He didn't care why Barret was doing this, and really, he could care less. The point was that he was doing it. He wrapped his arm around Barret's neck, and the other on the of his head to push Barret harder up against his mouth.
