TKO- Game Over
(Zell pov) Hey sports fans Zell Dincht here with the final plays on last nights game. After I, me the little guy from Balamb town, Ma's boy, won the world championship game against Deling City former champ. The guy I had a crush since first moving here things were pretty hectic.
Once my eyes focused, on Seifer of course, and he told me he wanted to be with me too I felt in perfect condition again. It was all I really wanted to begin with, damn the title, but I'm glad I won. It did a big boost on my confidence and self esteem. Here's what happened................

The crowd let Zell down from their shoulders and moved away after giving him congratulations and patting his back. "So Zell, is there anything you'd like to say to the audience out there watching on t.v?" The reporter asked. "Yeah," Zell said and looked at the camera. "I love you Ma!" Everyone around him laughed and the reporter continued asking him questions while his picture was taken.
Squall moved back from the crowd to let Zell have his spot light and Irvine and Seifer approached him.
"You're not gonna rub this in are ya?" Irvine asked him. "......Maybe." Squall said but Irvine just smiled. "You trained him good." Seifer said and Squall mouthed a thanks to him. Then Seifer left the two of them to go over to Zell. "So we gonna celebrate your victory later on?" Irvine asked pushing himself against Squall's back and wrapping his arms around him. "......Maybe." Squall answered and they both laughed and watched the crowd around Zell as he accepted his trophy of money and the championship belt.
Seifer pushed through the people getting to Zell and he turned Zell around interrupting. Everyone watched in shock as Seifer lifted Zell up and kissed him good right on the mouth.
"Whoa, looks like boxing has taken a turn tonight folks." The reporter said and chatter filled the arena again as Seifer put Zell down. They stared at each other for a minute until the reporter interrupted them.
"So Seifer now that the titles been taken what are you gonna do?" Seifer looked back at Zell then to the camera. "I'm gonna do the champ here." He said pulling Zell closer to him making him blush. The crowd laughed a little and seemed to be taking the abrupt news well.
"Well this'll defenitly be all over the city by tomorrow morning," The reporter stated. "anyway, congratulations you two and to you Mr. Dincht for winning the match tonight. You both had a great game one to be talked about for years."
After the short interview with them the reporter moved to find Squall and Irvine. Seifer turned to Zell again touching the new champion belt around his waist. Zell watched him for a second then cleared his throat before speaking.
"So....... did you mean what you said before? About us." He asked shyly and Seifer smirked at him. "Of course I did." He said and leaned down to kiss Zell again. "Aaaw." The two stopped and looked beside them to see a few familiar faces watching.
"Who'd of thought big tough, I'm the best Seifer Almasy would have a soft side." Quistis said. "Whatever." He said back.
"I didn't know you were gay." Nida said to Seifer. "Neither did I." Seifer told him. "I think its great." Selphie said holding her hands together and beaming at the two.
"I'm glad you guys came." Zell said to them. "We wouldn't have missed this for the world." Nida said. "Even though mr. big boxing star has ignored us the past few months." Nida added. "Don't be so hard on him, looks like he had a good excuse." Quistis said refering to him and Seifer being so close.
"Hey everybody party at my place!" Laguna yelled and the crowd cheered and started filing out of the arena. The four, Seifer, Irvine, Squall, and Zell all walked out together side by side............

(Zell pov) So after the game we got cleaned up and there was an all night party at Laguna's bar in my honor. Who'd of thought huh. Anyway the surprises didn't end there because this morning Irvine called us all outside to give something to Seifer.

"Why the hell are you bothering us this early?" Seifer asked Irvine when we all got outside where the cowboy was waiting. "Better watch your mouth or I won't give you your present." Irvine said a smile on his face the whole time. He told us to wait here while he went in the parking garage and came out pushing something covered with a blanket.
"What is it?" I asked Squall. "Ssh." He said and we both watched as Irvine grabbed the blanket. "Ready?" He asked Seifer and he nodded then Irvine ripped the blanket off. "Tada!"
Seifer's mouth dropped and he started laughing walking over to Irvine and the present. "When did you- why?" He stammered out touching the brand new motorcycle's seat. "Its all yours partner." Irvine said standing proudly and watching his pupils reaction. "But I didn't win." Seifer said said looking at Irvine questioningly.
"Shoot who cares about that. You and me are the best damn team out there and you did me proud." The two smiled at each other before Seifer's attention was taken away to look at the motorcylce more.
"Aw." Me and Squall said simultaniously making them both blush. "So is that what you were saving up for?" I asked Irvine. "Yup and now thanks to that second place prize money we won't have to worry about saving money for awhile." He answered. "Yeah we'll see how long that last." Squall said sarcastically.
"Hey chicken ride with me." Seifer said and Zell looked at Squall for permission, he nodded and Zell went over to him joining Seifer on the motorcycle. "You two be careful and don't go getting run over wrecking this one like you did the last one." Irvine said they both waved then sped off..............

(Zell pov) After that Seifer decided he'd quit boxing and try persuing his dream of being a motor cross racer. He's got all of our support which is fine with me but the boxing fans took it a little hard. Even though he's now the former champ of Deling City everyone still calls him champ when they see him.
Hm what else, oh yeah you won't believe the news I got when me and Seifer came back from our ride...........

Irvine and Squall were outside of the apartment still sitting on the curb talking waiting for those two to come back.
"So what now?" Irvine asked. Squall was silent for a minute trying to gather his thoughts. "Well I need a favor." He said looking at Irvine who nodded for him to go ahead.
"Remember when I said I was thinking of quiting, well I am. I'm resigning as Zell's coach." "What! Why, I mean he just made world champion you can't give up on him now." Irvine said. "I'm not I think he's got more potential in him but I just don't have it in me to help him find it anymore." Squall explained and Irvine listened intently.
"So I was hoping maybe you'd want the job." He looked at Irvine for an answer. He was silent a minute then smiled. "Yeah, yeah I could do that. I mean its not like Seifer wants to box anymore and I like the little guy. Squall I'd be honored to take your place as Zell's coach."
"Great." Squall said and he pulled Irvine in for a kiss. "Now we won't be at each others throats about games anymore." Squall said when they pulled away. "So you did this for us?" Irvine asked and Squall nodded. "Aw baby you're the best." Irvine said pulling Squall into a hug. "And don't worry I promise not to get all wrapped up in coaching."
Seconds later Seifer and Zell returned stopping in front of the two. "Hey guess what kid." Irvine said standing up talking to Zell. "What?" Zell asked getting off the motorcycle. "You got yourself a new boxing coach for next year." "Really?" Zell asked looking at Squall who nodded at him. "Cool." Zell said smiling and he took Irvine's hand shaking it. "Welcome aboard kid."
"Don't be too happy he's a pain in the ass." Seifer said. "Yeah and I'm happy as shit to get away from you too." Irvine countered both of them joking.

(Zell pov) Does it get any better? It sure does, Rinoa was fired from being a reporter and decided to leave the city. Gods help wherever she decides to live now. Once our business of being gay was all over television we gave the newspaper permission to sell the copies of Rinoa's story. Its not so bad anymore and there aren't too many unhappy people out there. Can't change who you are right?
I wrote Ma a letter explaining everything in more depth and then we talked on the phone. She's not too upset with me about not telling her I was gay. I explained me and Seifer's relationship and she's happy for us. We're even planning a trip back to Balamb to see her and everyone else. I bet I'm an even bigger hero there then I ever was. I also told her I wouldn't be moving back home after all.
I wanted to move in with Seifer but Squall said I'm still too young for that and my Ma would kill him if he let me. Not that its a problem since we all kinda hang around both apartments anyway. I guess our relationships still too fresh for us to move in together anyway.
We've both been going back to school now and actually hanging out with people our own age. Quistis, Selphie, and Nida well sometimes anyway. I helped Seifer get his grades back on track not that he can be threatened with being pulled out of the game anymore.
Laguna still owns the bar and we all go there alot, mostly Friday's, its like a tradition or something now. They still won't let me drink though but its ok 'cause Seifer isn't allowed to drink either. He's still working on his former drug problem and getting over it completely.
Squall and Irvine couldn't be happier and every now and then when me and Irvine are practicing he'll stop by and watch. Giving pointers or making fun of Irvine and the way he coaches. Seifer comes by too just to watch or pick on Irvine too. Sometimes he'll spar with me or we'll work out together. Squall's thinking of buying the gym too but he's not sure yet. I think he'd rather be free from all work for awhile and he deserves the break.
So that's it ladies and gents. I'm famous now with my new title as world champ. I have the hottest boyfriend alive, two of the best friends I could ever ask for. A great new coach and most importantly love and respect from family back home at Balamb. Life is good and I wouldn't want it any other way. Its been fun making it this far the whole experience has been a TKO.

The idea came to me one day last year when I was with my friends one of them playing FFVIII and I was listening to Mandy Moore hearing the song "Everything My Heart Desires" and for some reason seeing Zell's limit break made me think of him working out at the gym to the song then his work out turned into boxing. Then a line in the song gave me an idea and one thing lead to another. Its my longest fic so far and I'm very proud of it :o)
P.S thanks to JLightstar for getting some pictures done for this hope you all see them when her site is up and to the artist P.L Nunn for doing the art work. Can't wait to see how they come out.
