Chapter 1: and thus, It begins.
-----------------------------------------------------------------
Vincent eyed his surroundings cautiously. He wasn’t sure where he was, or how he had gotten there. He just remembers going to sleep the previous night in his room on the Highwind, and now, he was here... He sat on the bad, and looked around the strange room. There were many things strewn about, in an almost neat way. The amount of stuff piled everywhere was astounding. Every area of the room had something interesting to see. He noticed a thin, but highly noticeable, layer of dust residing on a black shelf unit. Aside from some unimportant word written in the dust, the shelf had many small figurines on it. They were all of the same few characters, in different sizes and poses. A man with an all read outfit and a large sword, a girl clad in an odd green and red outfit, a feminine man with some sort of plush boa hanging off his arm, a man is purple robe, and a girl in a black jumpsuit and a large boomerang. They all seemed so odd together. He silently wondered why there were so many, for it seemed to be an odd thing to obsess over. He looked in the selves and noticed a few more figures, a lot of DVDs, some magazines, and a sheathed dagger. Vincent looked to his right, to the, where his eyes happened to glace over at the television where he noticed even more figures. None of them looked like the ones on the shelf. A particular figure caught his eye. He got up and walked over to it. There was no mistaking it. It was Sephiroth. A small Sephiroth toy. The idea of a toy of Sephiroth, the crazy lunatic who tried to destroy the planet being made into a toy seemed crazy, in Vincent’s mind. He picked up the figure, only to have the head fall off and on to the ground. Vincent blinked, wondering why someone would want a toy of such bad quality, let alone of Sephiroth. He looked at the other figures, and noticed they all looked as thought they could fall apart with the slightest touch. He bent down picking the head up, and placed the figurine back on the dresser that the TV was on. He carefully put the head back where it belonged. “What kind of weird place IS this...?” Vincent wondered, inwardly. He then looked slightly to his left, when he noticed a Turk’s badge that hung on a lanyard. He was quite taken aback. A Turk? Had he been kidnapped? What was ShinRa planning...?
Before Vincent even had time to think more about such things, he heard foot steps approaching and he could clearly hear the voice of a girl, although what she was saying didn’t make much sense. “Sure, just let me grab my Play Station 2 memory card, I have all the songs for max 2 on it.” A girl who looked as tough she was in her teens walked into the room. She had her hair up, and was wearing an odd head band with a circle like design on it. She had black pants adorned with small chains, and two straps going from the front of her pockets to the back of her pants. She wore a shirt that had a cartoon unicorn on it, that read “The Last Unicorn” in fancy letters. She turned to face Vincent after she had finished yelling behind her, to whom Vincent didn’t know. She stopped abruptly after getting into her room and froze. For a moment Vincent wasn’t sure if she would scream, for she looked like she might. After a very long time in which she didn’t move or speak, Vincent cleared his throat, hoping to find out who she was, and why he was here. She suddenly snapped out of it, and blinked, still looking at him. Before Vincent had a chance to ask, she suddenly sighed, looking extremely depressed. “Damn... This must be some sort of dream... Since I don‘t do drugs or anything like that...” She mused aloud. Vincent was unsure of how mentally stable this girl was, as she was now talking to her self, and seemed bipolar from just a second ago. “And here I was thinking I didn‘t dream anymore... Well, I better make sure I don‘t forget this one... I never have dreams about my bishies like a good obsessive fan girl should.” She said, still talking to herself. Vincent was now sure this girl had some sort of problem. And the Sephiroth figure was starting to make him really believe that she could be insane. “Though, I have been more addicted to Final Fantasy lately... And I did read that fanfic B.A.G. before bad last night, and that one is a continuation of A Vincent ficcy, so maybe that explain why I am dreaming about meeting Vinnie...” Vincent was sure now. She was insane. Sephiroth even had a rival against this girl. Before Vincent could ask how she knew his name, or where she got that crazy nick name from, she spoke again, but this time, it was to him. “‚±‚ñ‚É‚¿‚& Iacute;, ƒ”ƒBƒ“ƒZƒ“ƒg‚³ 8218;Ü.” She said politely. “...‚³‚Ü?” He asked. He had never been given the suffex of that gratitude, let alone from a stranger. “‚Í‚¢...” She said, smiling. She seemed to know Japanese. Vincent figured he could continue the conversation in that, since he knew both, and she seemed to be willing to talk in Japanese. “‚¨‚È‚Æ ‚Ì ‚È‚Ü‚¦ ‚í?” He asked. “‚킽‚µ ‚Ì... ‚È‚Ü‚¦ ‚í ƒLƒJƒŠƒŠ ƒf‚·...” She replied, carefully making sure she said it right. It was obvious she was not fluent. Kiri sighed. “Damn... I wish he spoke Japanese, that would make things so much easier...” “I can.” Vincent replied. Kiri looked surprised. “Oh, yeah, I guess you can, ne?” She said, more than asked, with the look of surprise fading from her face. “After all, this is my dream...” She said, seeming a bit sad at the matter. Vincent had now decided he wanted to leave, because this girl seemed to be insane. Very.
“Kiri, how long dose it take for you to get your damned Play St-” A boy with black and orange walked into Kiri’s roomed and stopped disentrance upon seeing Vincent. Kiri looked at him, confused and surprised. “Wait, this can‘t be a dream... You‘re here.” She said, referring to the guy who had just walked in. “And dreams are happy things... So it can‘t be a dream.” She looked back at Vincent, speechless. Setsuna on the other hand had too many words. “Vin... Vincent?” He asked, still in disbelief. “...yes?” Vincent asked, hesitantly. Upon hearing confirmation, Setsuna went into obsessive Final Fantasy VII fan mode. “You‘re my best fighter... You saved my ass so many times in the damn over world map... I love you.” Vincent was now quite scared. Even Kiri seemed a bit shocked to hear this. “Uh... Setsuna? Is there something I don‘t know about you?” She asked, cautiously. Setsuna turned to Kiri. “What do you-” He suddenly realized how his words sounded. “Gah! Not like that! I mean as a character... You know, the same way you love Tifa and Aeris!” “Oh, okay.” Kiri said, understanding. Vincent looked around, trying to use this distraction as a way to escape. The only way he could get out would be the window, since they were blocking the door without meaning to. He realized that would be a hard task to get away with, especially with an art desk sort of in the way. Before Vincent could think of another plan, Kiri turned to him. “Speaking of Tifa and Aeris, do you know where Sephiroth is?!” She asked. Vincent turned around and stared at her. “What?” He asked, confused. “Well, I figure they helped fight him against meteor...” She said shrugging. “Do you know where he is? Or Reno?” She asked, seeming positively giddy. “Sephiroth is dead...” Vincent answered, wondering why some one who seemed to be such a fan didn’t already know this. “Aw, you mean he hasn‘t come back yet?” Kiri asked, as if his death was a trivial matter. “Come back?” Vincent asked. “Yeah... You know, when Kadaj becomes Sephiroth because of Jenova...” Kiri said, overwhelming Vincent’s brain. “Uh, Kiri... I don‘t think Advent Children had happened yet...” Setsuna said. “How could it not have, we have seen it!” Kiri protested. “Well, yeah... The Japanese one... Maybe since he is in America, it hasn‘t happened yet...” Setsuna mused. Kiri looked at him for a moment, and then spoke. “Wow, I think you said something very intelligent for once.” Kiri said, sarcastic and serious all at the same time. Vincent went back to carefully opening the window. “Well, it would make sense, wouldn‘t it?” Setsuna said, ignoring her insult. Kiri mused on it. “Actually, yeah... It would.” She looked up in alarm. “You mean we have to make sure that AD takes place before the movie comes out?” “No, I was just saying maybe that why he doesn‘t know who Kadaj is-” Setsuna was cut off by Kiri, who still wasn’t done spilling out the ideas her mind came up with. “And if he doesn‘t get back, AC will be changed, and the Japanese and the American version will be different, and there will be riots, and confusion!” “Probably not-” Setsuna tried to get a word in, but to no avail. “And Square Enix will have a re-call, and America will never get AC!” “I highly doubt that-” Setsuna should have known better. “And if that happens, Sephiroth might never come back, and Tensing and Elena might DIE!” Kiri mused, alarmed. “I am sure they will be fine, what does Vincent have to do with that any-” Kiri was on a roll, and not even her brother could shut her up yet. “Wait, what if by NOT returning his, Sephiroth defeats Cloud?! Wait, no, that wont happen, Sephiroth loves Cloud too much to kill him...” Vincent, who had gotten the window half open, accidentally dropped the window, resulting in it falling down making a loud ‘clack’ sound and shutting. Kiri and Setsuna both turned to Vincent at hearing such an unexpected sound. Vincent turned to Kiri. “what did you say?” he asked, seeming to be unable to grasp what she had said. “Well, when Sephiroth and Cloud fight again for, what, the eighteenth time, well, anyway, when they fight, a huge piece of ground is about to hit Cloud, but Sephiroth jumps past Cloud and slices it in half saving Cloud, and later Cloud did the same for Sephiroth during the same fight! And, in the same fight, Sephiroth has the chance to stab Cloud through the heart and kill him, but instead, he stabs him through the right shoulder, and lets him live! He doesn‘t really hate him. They liked each other back in Cloud‘s SOLDIER days, and he still has feeling for him. Its obvious.” Setsuna just shook his head, mumbling “here she goes again...” under his breath, almost inaudible. Vincent looked at Kiri for a moment, taking in all that she had just said. “You‘re not serious, are you...?” Vincent finally asked. Kiri looked at him, ever so slightly confused. “Of course I am... It makes sense now you think about it, doesn‘t it?” Vincent just looked at her. “No.” He said flatly. “Sephiroth doesn‘t love Cloud. He is an over confident psychopath who wants to inflict pain on others. Of course he wouldn‘t kill Cloud right away, he wanted him to suffer. He hates Cloud. And he thinks he is a god... He doesn’t accept the idea that he could lose to anyone.” Kiri looked at him, ever so slightly annoyed at his words. But not at Vincent himself. No, no, a fan girl can never be mad at her bishies directly. “Then why was he giving Cloud advise the whole time? And why did he leave peacefully, saying only, “I will not become a mere memory”, huh? If he hated him, he would not have left so willingly.” Vincent looked at her. “How should I know... This never happened.” He stated plainly. “Yes, it did, just not yet. So why do you think, you know all the details... Or do you not truly believe what you said, hmm?” She asked, egging him on. Vincent sighed, accepting she wouldn’t give up till she had his opinion. “Fine... I don‘t know, maybe because Sephiroth hates Cloud, and edging him on with advise would annoy him?” Vincent suggested. “And as for him telling Cloud he wont leave him alone, he probably would mean that he wont give up till he kills him, because, let me repeat, he is an overconfident psychopath, who is too stubborn to give up, even after being killed by Cloud... Twice.” Setsuna then spoke up. “Advent Children makes it three.” Kiri sighed, realizing that it would be easier to find and marry Sephiroth and convince him to cosplay as Kagome at Animazement than it would be to convince Vincent that Sephiroth liked Cloud.
Vincent then stopped thinking about Kiri’s crazy theory and looked up and them. “How do you know so much, anyway?” He asked. Kiri and Setsuna froze, and looked at each other. “Do you... Think we should tell him?” Setsuna asked. Vincent was now extremely curious, but it wasn’t obvious. “No...” Kiri said, smiling. “I think we should show him.” She grinned and looked at Vincent. Setsuna wasn’t sure what she was going to do, but had a pretty good idea of what it was. Kiri grabbed Vincent’s unclawed hand and ran out of her room, into the living room. She pulled Vincent over to the couch, and gently pushed his shoulders until he sat on the couch. Kiri then ran over in front of the TV and sat down on the floor, messing with some wires. She pressed down a small button on a plastic grey box, and hanged an oddly shaped piece of grey plastic, adorned with buttons, connected to the main box with
