I returned home, aka the scene of the crime. The memories of that horrible night came flooding back 
into my mind. I have not set foot in this apartment since that night, and I have no intentions of ever 
coming back here. We will move to another place off& nbsp;base somewhere. My contract is up this month 
and I will not be renueing it. 
I walk into our bedroom and can still smell and see the blood. There is crime& nbsp;scene tape and 
fingerprinting dust every where. His clothes from that night are still in the MP evidence locker along with 
his wallet and personal effects. Until the trial he wont get them back. This is not the first case like this. 
Military&n bsp;Hate Based Crimes have been come more&nbs p;common since the â€œdonâ€&trad e;t ask don’t tell†ban& nbsp;was 
lifted. Every military man and woman that announces&n bsp;an intrest in same sex relationships are being 
targeted. I was targeted in the beginning but they could not get& nbsp;to me because of Seifer. So they  attacked him instead. 
I got my civilian clothes gathered up, took a quick shower, brushed my teeth and dressed. I put together 
some of Seifer’s clothes including his dress uniform and several pairs of socks, underwear, and shoes. I 
grabbed our toiletries and some extra towels. The pillows and blankets will need to be replaced as they 
are covered in blood and seimen. 
**Phone Ringing** < br> “ Hello? Yes this is Squall. Ok I am on my way back. No give the phone to Reno if he is there. Hey Reno? 
Ok listen to me, don’t try to restrain&nb sp;him. Put the phone on speaker. He just needs to know I am ok. 
Seifer, you need to calm dow n love. I am fine. You are in the hospital, and I am in the jeep on my way 
back to you. If you don’t calm down they will have to sedate you and restrain you to&n bsp;the bed. OK. Reno, 
is he settling down?†
“Yeah, h e is back to sleep.. What the hell was that Yo?†
â&eu ro;œHe wasn’t awake to start&n bsp;with I will explain when I get there. I am in the parking lot now headed to the 
elevator.& nbsp;Make sure the room is cleared out a nd have Irvine and Seifer’s doc tor in the room. I don’t 
want to explain this more than I have to. Im getting into the elevator now so I am going to hang up. Wait 
for me out in the hall.â&euro ; 
I stepped into the elevator and punched the button  ;for Seifer’s floor. I waited until  I heard the ding and 
stepped off. I could see a crowd of people including security guards surrounding Reno.

“Look yo,&nbs p;I was just doing what was asked of me if you have a problem w ith it take it up with Squall!†
“And I am right here. Unless you are on Seifer’s case go&nbs p;away please. Dr. Kinneas, Dr. Rhein, Reno, if the 
three of you would kindly st ep into the room with me we need to discuss what happened in here today 
and the cause of it.& acirc;€ We all stepped into the room and once the door was sealed I began the 
explaination. 
â €œWhat you witnessed today cannot go&nb sp;outsideof this hospital. Seifer is already going to be forced to 
retire due to what happened two months ago. If this information is leaked it could comprise everything. 
What you saw in his room before I got here is a form of PTSD. It stems from when we first met. We were 
bei ng held captive my enemy forces and I&nb sp;was being tortured. For some unkown reason he blacked out 
and&nb sp;went crazy. The only survivors from that day were Seifer and myself. If he wakes up in an unknown 
enviroment and I am not there, that is what happens. This time however he was not awake. He was&nb sp;
reliving that nightmare in his sleep. He has been through counseling, he has tried all the treatments. 
Nothing seems  to work. It has been two and a half years since he last had an incident so we had thought 
that it was all over and he was finally  cured. The only thing I can come up with is that what happened 
“that†nig ht trigged his subconcious memories, and brought the nightmare&nb sp;back. Do any of you have 
problems keeping this quiet? I don’t want you to  ;loose your jobs over this but please for his sake, don’t 
say anything about& nbsp;it to anyone.†
They all agre ed to stay quiet about it unless they&nb sp;had to do other wise. I can understan d them not 
wanting to risk their necks for a complete stranger. We walked through the connecting door into Seifer’s 
room and he  was still asleep. I walked over and sat down on the bed next to him. 
“Seifer, hun  you need to wake up now. There are some people here who want to meet you and the 
doctor needs to check your wounds.†
Seifer opened his sea-green eyes and smiled at me. 
“Hey sexy! I didn’t hurt anyone this time& nbsp;did I?†
He could always read me like an open book. 
“No love you didnâ& euro;™t. Just thrashed around and yelled out for me. Seif I want you to meet the two men 
who helped to save your life. First is Dr. Irvine Kinneas, he stayed on the phone with me to d irect my 
hands at keeping you alive. If it werent for him I wouldn’t&nb sp;have you now.†They shook hands and 
exchanged greetings. 
“Next is Lt Reno&nbs p;Carson. He assisted Reeve in keeping you alive u ntil you got into the helicopter. Then he 
flew us both here.  He has been coming by regularly to  ;check up on you.†
â€&oelig ;Damn Red! Its been a long time! I havent seen you since you pulled me out of that  ;burning wreck off 
the coast of Okinawa!†

â€&oelig ;Shit it is you Blondie! I didn’t recognize you covered in blood! Damn yo! Are you serious man?& nbsp;How did 
someone like you end up&nbs p;with a bishie like squall?†
At this I blushed and punched them both in the arm. 
“I am right here you know! Reno if you  ;would be so kind as to leave. The  doctor needs to check on Seifer 
and I have to get him some food ordered. Now shoo!†Reno and Irvine left t o handle crowd control. The 
doctor checked over Seifer’s almost completely healed wounds and asked him some more questions. 
Seife r was allowed to drink down some potato soup if I mashed the potatoes up real smooth so that’s 
what he had for his evening meal. He got another shower and a shave. He felt so refreshed and 
energized he decided to show me. 
“Baby, câ&eur o;™mere a minute. I have a pain in my chest right her e…†He pointed to a&nbs p;spot above his heart. I 
walked over and reached acrosshim, the next thing I knew he had both m y arms pinned down to the bed 
and he was kneeling between my legs.  Before I could struggle to flip us over he had my sweat pan ts 
down and off and my shirt ripped clean away from my body…
