Chapter 3: Revealed

The weeks rolled by in monotony, then became months. And the dark haired "guest" in the labs hated every minute of it.
The SOLDIERS who guarded her would tell her nothing of the other survivors of the meltdown, or when Hojo might FINALLY be satisfied and let her out. And they watched her, always, even inside her `living quarters' (but Tifa was not fooled, it was a holding cell) boasting of mostly clear walls with a little bed except her bathing/bathroom area, and even there if she took too long, they'd come in and start hammering on the door.
So say nothing of the check ups.
Once a week she'd be dragged down to Hojo to be examined for "mako fallout." She hated these exams because in addition to the standard physical and blood-work, the creepy scientist had started doing things like examine her cervix, and a breast exam after she'd accidentally let it slip out a few weeks ago that her breasts felt a little bigger definitely tender. At the very least, shed kept it to herself that the last few weeks shed been queasy all day (though it was slightly worse in the mornings) and she could smell EVERYTHING.
So Tifa was more reluctant then ever to be dragged to her current exam when her guard dogs came to get her, but her resistance would only be met by getting herself put in restraints, thus placing her in a vulnerable position, and that was the LAST thing she wanted with this man. This was why she was swallowing down the nausea from the strong antiseptic smell the was all over her new `home, dressed in a paper-thin gown, while waiting for the doctor to examine her.
Better not make me wait much longer, or he'll need a bio-hazard crew.
"Good morning my girl." The scientist greeted her, earning himself a flat look.
"Just examine me so I can go. And I'm not your girl."
"Have you experienced more symptoms this morning?" Tifa held her nose for a minute trying to block the lab's smell, and shook her head.
"No nausea or vomiting when you wake?" Tifa narrowed eyes slightly, frowning.
"Probably just have a stomach flu."
"One doesn't usually have the stomach flu for almost two months." Confusion clouded the dark Claret eyes.
"I've only had it for about two weeks-" Tifa stopped mid sentence, realizing what he was telling her.
"What... what have you done to me?" Suddenly a thousand details were clicking, little thigns that irritated her and made no sense no suddenly were brought in to sharp focus.
"That's the first time you've asked that question when you not consumed by hysteria."
"What have you done to me?!"
"Calm down or I will have you restrained, and you won't get an answer to your question." Tifa answered with a glare... but she did quiet down.
"I have given you a purpose in your life my dear, a purpose much greater than yourself." At her stares, Hojo continued on "for years we have been trying to recreate ShinRa's greatest achievement. Another Sephiroth."
What...
"Cloning failed so we decided to try a more... natural approach, shall we say. Of course we had to find the right specimen that was compatible. One that would be strong enough to be the vessel. You." The young woman on the table went ramrod straight, her mind fizzling till she couldn't hear her own thoughts.
"Then...." she put a hand to her stomach, which felt like heaving, and this time not just because of, Gaia, the morning sickness.
"Who better to bear the children of Sephiroth, than girl with above average strength who managed to survive a reactor meltdown?" Hojo continued, unawares t seemed hto Tifa's growing anger, "Too bad the S blood will be thinned a bit, but better than nothing. We'll see if we need to add SOLIDER serum after the birth." The mad scientist slowly reached to touch her stomach, but the unrestrained fists of the Martial Artist slammed into his face, and when he'd barely hit the ground, the dark haired woman leaped forward and landed on top of him. She was all but feral as she continued to whoop on him, even as her guard dogs came charging in and grabbed her.
"Stupid woman should be thanking me for giving your meaningless small town life a purpose!" Hojo snarled, causing Tifa to actually pull her guards just a bit forward as she went to get a kick at ShinRa's top scientist.
"BROOD MARE IS NOT A PURPOSE YOU POMPOUS..! YOU'RE NEVER TOUCHING ME AGAIN! YOU HEAR ME? NEVER! AND YOU'RE NEVER TOUCHING MY-" Tifa's breathe suddenly felt caught in her throat and her voice became thin as it hit her, "child... "
"And what makes you think you can stop me?" Hojo sneered as Tifa, fighting as her hands were strapped to the table and her legs are strapped into the stirrups.
"Just wait, I'll find someway!"
