A/N: Amazingly, here's the second chapter. I'm basically copying from my old story and reposting it here, just in case FF.net shuts down at a random time or I get banned for some stupid reason. Enjoy. And if you can, send me an e-mail with your thoughts. Don't just curse your head off, though, or I'll delete it without reading it.

I woke up this morning feeling like shit, I quickly got dressed and walked the dog for the morning. When I got back, the telephone rang. My mom answered it and asked who it was. It was Amber. I grabbed the phone from Mom. "Hello, Amber," I shouted. "I'm coming into town this afternoon, and my flights taking off soon, see you later," Amber said, and hung up. I hung up and walked to school early, now giddy as a little kid that was in a candy store.
When I got to my locker, I saw Robert. I walked to him and tapped him on the shoulder, "Hey, Robert." He turned around and said, "Yeah?" I poked him in the shoulder, "Can you come over later today?"
"Sure, I'd better get to class, though."
"Alright. See ya."
" 'Bye."
I walked off to class and saw Steven playing with his glasses case. Meanwhile, Jason was bugging Adam. Steven said, "Do you want to come over today and play Halo?" "No, I have plans for today," I said. After debating whether or not I should skip school, I went through the day, deciding to stay just so I could get my homework. Plus, I'd get suspended from school if I didn't stay. Naturally, I left school and went home right at the end of the 7th period.
I woke up from a knocking noise later. I slowly got up out of bed and answered the door. It was Amber. "Hi, Zacky-poo," she said, smiling. Not expecting HER at the door, my jaw dropped, staring at her. She stopped smiling, "Oh, is this the wrong address?" "No, no, come in, come in," I said, still surprised. I had a new dog that had arrived this morning. Her name was Callie, a female miniature dachshund, who came trotting after Max. Both commenced to bark wildly at the "threat" that had entered our home. I glared at them and yelled, "SHUT UP! GET DOWN!" They stopped and looked up at me, then trotted off. "So, how was it on your way here," I asked, smiling at her. "Fine," Amber said quickly, then added, "Is there a place ready so I can rest? I'm really tired..." "Yeah, there is the couch.... Sorry, we don't have an extra bed or anything," I said, frowning a bit, sort of feeling bad that I didn't have a decent place to sleep ready for her.
"It's alright, I'm used to it," she said, trying to get rid of my guilt. "Oh yeah, you're slush of a mother is cheap," I added, gritting my teeth at the thought of how badly Amber was treated. Amber doesn't have it easy at all. If anything, she has it worse than me. She was raped when she was 14 by her girlfriend. Amber is bisexual, and her girlfriend told everyone. I don't really see what the big deal is with gay people, y'know? As long as a gay boy doesn't hit on me, I'll be friends with him. Amber's mom really didn't help her with her problems. She is always telling Amber how she is a failure and that she had never had her. Whenever Amber brang that up, I always told her to remember that her mom was the slut who got pregnant at 14 with her brother.
"I'm going to have a friend come over later to hang out," I said, now remembering I had to pick Robert up later. "OK, I'm going to sleep for now," Amber said. She walked to the couch, lying down on it. Max and Callie both trotted up to her, sat down in front of the couch, and looked up at her, then hopped onto the couch and snuggled up with her. I smiled, thinking it was really cute. I grabbed a blanket from the closet next to the couch and handed it to Amber, letting her curl up in it. There is always a small pillow on one side because my brother and I always lie down on it. "Thanks," was all she said. "Your welcome," I said happily. I went into my room and slept for a few hours, changing my alarm to wake me up at 6:00 PM.
I woke up hearing my alarm go off, buzzing loudly. By now, it was thundering outside. I pushed the button to turn it off, but it kept buzzing. "Fucking thing," I shouted angrily. I ripped the plug out of the outlet, picked up the clock, and threw it into the wall, shattering it into pieces. Amber ran to my door and opened it, looking inside. She noticed the clock, walking toward me, still looking at it. "What happened to the clock," she asked, apparently a little freaked out by the noise. I kicked the piece left, scattering them across the room, gritting my teeth, then smiling at her, "I happened..." All she did was gap at me, "You scared the crap out of me with that! Don't do it again!" My smile grew bigger, "OK, don't worry abou--"
My sentence was interrupted by a knocking on the door. I walked out of my room, going to the front door, and opening it, "Hello?" There stood my friend Dylan, with his blonde hair and green eyes. His hair is sort of long, in a "mushrrom" style haircut. He's a complete skateboarding freak. I used to skateboard, until I sprained my wrist. He's a joker. Dylan grinned, "Can we come in?" I stuck my head out, looking around, "Uh.... 'we'? Who else is-- AGHHHH!!" Dylan's younger brother, Ian, had jumped down from the top of the roof to the porch and yelled, "AGHHHHHH!" He had been hiding up there the whole time. When he was done laughing, I cracked him over the head. Ian and Dylan are twins, but Dylan is 13 minutes older than Ian. Ian has longer hair than Dylan, almost as long as mine, and thick glasses like me. I like him because we are both video game freaks. His brown eyes and chubby figure are the only thing left to say about him. He is a joker, just like his brother. I went inside and got my backpack, which had my favorite game in it, and slinging it over my shoulder.
"I have to go pick up my friend Robert," I said, watching Ian rub the new bump rising from his skull. "Alright, we'll come along," Dylan said. Amber, Dylan and I walked down the steps, leaving Ian to realize seconds later we had left. "Wait for me," he shouted, running after us. As we walked down the strangely quiet Brock Avenue, we saw lightning strike a nearby tree. All four of us jumped, not expecting it to be so close by. Amber was shaking from the surprise the lightning gave her, "Maybe we shouldn't be out here..." "No worries," I said, walking into the street. I had no idea what happened next. Lightning flew down from the sky, striking me. I howled in pain, flying back a few feet. I sat there, bleeding and smoking a bit. My friends ran over, making sure I was OK. Amber hugged me, "Zack! Are you alright!?" "Damn, you look like you got put in an electric chair," said Ian and Dylan, smirking. "That hurts.... So.... Much," I said, wincing as I got up, throwing up a little blood. "Gross," Amber squealed, making a face.
"Uh.... You sure your alright," Dylan asked, sounding a little concerned. Ian nodded, as if to ask the same. I looked up at them, smiling a bit, one eye closed in pain, "Yeah, fine..." Ian got under my arm and had me lean onto him, wrapping my arm around his shoulders. We walked to Robert's house, and by that time I was alright to walk on my own. I walked up the steps and rang the doorbell, giving the security camera attached to the porch's lights the finger for fun. Robert's grandfather answered the door, "Do you need to see Robert?" "Yeah," I replied. He opened the door open to let us in. We walked up to Robert's room, knocking on the door. He opened it, letting us in. "Did you take your medication," he asked, smirking. Then he saw my burns from the lightning and added, "What the hell happened to you!?"
"Don't worry, I'm fine," I said. I looked around, then back to Robert, "Mind if we stay here for now?" "No," he said plainly. Amber and Ian sat on Robert's bed, while Dylan sat on the floor. I took Final Fantasy 7 out of my backpack and put it into the Playstation 2. I turned on the television, and then the PS2. It turned on like normal, but bolts were coming from it, like it was going to explode. "Uh.... Robert.... Something's wrong with your PS2," I said, backing away from the Playstation. Robert turned around, "What in the hell are you-- OH MY GOD!" The Playstation was now bolting even more. I stepped forward to try and turn it off, but nothing happened. I tried to unplug it, but it wouldn't come out of the outlet. "A little help would be appreciated," I shouted. Everyone rushed to help me, but suddenly a giant portal opened up beneath us, taking me, Amber, Dylan, Ian, and Robert, along with my backpack. Then, everything went black...

A/N: What fun. Obviously, the lightning wasn't normal, or I wouldn't have lived. That said, don't e-mail me screaming that I'm being unrealistic. That's kind of the point in Final Fantasy.
