WARNINGS
1) I do not own Zell, Squall, Rinoa, Irvine, Seifer, Selphie, Irvine, Quistis, or any other character I may mention from the FF8 series. I may add some more characters, which are mine. If you steal them, I probably won't find out about it. I also do not own most of the towns, monsters, etc… used in this story.
2) This was written cause Zell is the coolest character ever to be created in the FF series. It's rated NC-17 for mostly sex, but there's also some language and violence
3) This is a yaoi story. If you are offended by yaoi or don't know what it is, then I suggest you leave. You have been warned.
Ok think I got everything. Just read it and leave me some feedback. If you flame me I'll find it funny, so do whatever the hell makes you feel good.
CHAPTER 11: Quissy and Leonhart
Zell just didn't know. He considered it all very confusing. Sure, he wanted Puma there, but he just wasn't ready to admit it. It was all too fast. Here he was, lying next to a junior classman in bed. Had this come out to the public, Zell would be the laughing stock of school. It was a scary possibility, but the blonde didn't care. He was more concerned about what he thought. 3 days ago, he would have sworn he was straight on his life. Hell, he never even questioned it. Now his world was rocked. Suddenly he was obsessed with this other male. It didn't make sense.
"Shit. What the hell's wrong with me." Zell was past feeling embarrassed about his new attraction. He realized that if he didn't want Puma to be there, it would have been easy to say no. But he didn't. Zell broke it down as this: he admitted he had feelings for another man. The blonde could easily admit that to himself, but he was still deep in the closet. Squall was the only person who might guess that Zell and Puma had relations, but who was he going to tell. The brunette only said three words a day. Zell wasn't ready for anyone else to find out. Actually, he was terrified by the idea. Especially Zoe. What would she think? Would she even talk to him again?
"Stop thinking. Just stop thinking!" The blonde tried to push the thoughts from his mind. He distracted himself by looking at Puma. The redhead snored lightly on Zell's breast. He felt the kid's slow breathing, and knew he was asleep. Zell wished he was that carefree. If it came out that Zell and Puma were seeing each other, how would it hurt the kid? He didn't have many friends in the garden. Puma was only here for three days. What did he care what people would think? Zell sighed and put his hands behind his head. The redhead kept his arms wrapped around Zell's stomach, and breathed on his chest. Why did life have to be so hard for him?
"Just enjoy the moment." There was nothing to do tomorrow. No Fall Festival, no trips to Balamb, no plans, Period. He could just relax. Sighing, Zell scratched Puma's head with one hand, and rubbed his back with the other. Puma shifted under Zell's adjustments, but didn't break from his slumber. "My hero."

"HOLY SHIT!!!!" Puma yelled, sitting up. That woke Zell with a start. The redhead tumbled out of bed, and onto the floor. Graceful? No. Panicked? Yes.
"What? What's wrong?" Zell mumbled sitting up, and yawning. Puma would give a response, but he was too busy untangling himself from the covers on the floor. Zell's eyes fell on the clock, and he suddenly realized that it was almost 11:00. "Shit, I forgot to set an alarm."
"I have the written test today!" Puma cried, regaining his feet. "If I don't pass it, I won't be able to take the SeeD exam!" There was a wave of guilt Zell didn't need today. He had enough on his mind.
"Kay calm down," Zell replied, trying to slow down the situation. "Who do you have?"
"Trepe." Puma had his head in his hands, and was pacing around the room.
"Don't worry, I'll talk to her," Zell rationalized. "Go pick something out of my dresser, and change. No time to shower." Puma knew Zell was right, and quickly did what he said. The blonde picked up yesterday's shirt and threw it on, and then hurried to the bathroom. Here, he grabbed some cologne, and sprayed it on so he wouldn't completely stink. He then grabbed some gum from his kitchen. Puma followed him. Sniffing the redhead, Zell sprayed him with some cologne as well, and pushed him out of the dorm. Locking it behind him, the two ran to the second floor classroom.
They could hear Quistis lecturing from outside. Puma snuck in, and took his seat in the back. Quistis stopped her speech, and was about to say something, when she caught Zell out of the corner of her eye.
"Uh…Instructor Trepe? Could I have a word?" Zell blushed, motioning out towards the hallway. The instructor gave him a disappointed glare, but followed him out. She had helped Zell take the SeeD test last year, and knew he was an honest man. If he was willing to stand up for one of her students, he must have a good reason.
"I'm assuming you have an excuse for Puma?" Quissy sighed, obviously not pleased with Zell's interruption.
"Yeah um…we had a situation last night."
"And that would be…?"
"Um…I spent most of yesterday with him, and you know Selphie had the band, and Zoe, me, her, and Puma were up late last night," Zell stuttered. He scratched the back of his head, and tried to make it sound as innocent as possible.
"That's no excuse, it's called an alarm clock," Quistis stated, lowering her glasses.
"No but you see, it got past curfew, and I didn't want him to get into trouble," Zell pleaded. "So I let him stay the night."
"That was kind, but that's not good enough to get him off."
"Come on Quissy," Zell whined. "I didn't set the alarm last night. If you're going to punish anyone, punish me."
"I can't punish you Zell," Quistis pointed out. "He's the one that's late."
"Please Quissy!" he begged. "How many times did he get in trouble before?" The teacher sighed in defeat. Puma didn't have a criminal record, and knowing Zell, it was probably his fault.
"Fine. It won't happen again."
"I promise you Quissy! You're the best," Zell praised. Quistis left Zell standing in the hallway, and returned to her class.
"You're lucky Zell's knows how to get his way," Quistis pointed up at Puma, and then continued with her lesson. Hearing this, Zell did a little victory dance down the hallway, and headed back to his dorm. After unlocking it, he collapsed on the couch. He was running on adrenaline, and needed to slow down. The blonde wasn't used to getting up before noon, and especially with Puma as his alarm clock. Sighing, Zell eventually got up, and went back to his bedroom. He stripped down, and pulled out a black and yellow Odin shirt, some jeans, his blue and white boxers (Balamb Garden's team colors), and a pair of socks.
"Today's gonna suck," Zell thought, as he walked to grab a towel. His eyes fell on the calendar. "September 1st." A month until Puma and Zoe went on their SeeD field exam and until Zell, Squall, and Selphie could be sent out on a SeeD mission. Almost another four months until the Winter Festival. In other words, Zell had a lot of time before something big happened. He hopped in the shower, let the water roll over his head, and tried to think of something to do today.
"Zoe and Puma are in class today. Selphie's not getting up any time here soon. Squall? Well, what would me and Squall do?" That was his only option though, so after bathing, Zell threw on his clothes, grabbed his ID card, and went to find Squall. He knocked on his neighbor's door, and found that the lion was awake.
"Yeah…" Squall muttered, opening the door for the blonde. Zell walked in, and looked around Squall's dorm. It was almost exactly like his own, but Squall had a lot more stuff moved in. Zell still had to get some of the bigger stuff for his room, like his video game systems, DVD player, extra blankets for his bed, his beanbag chair, lamps, and other stuff. It wasn't necessary right now, but it would get there eventually. Squall was a bit more prepared then Zell though. He already had his posters up, about four extra chairs, a microwave, and a nice laptop on his coffee table.
"Whoa…" Zell cried looking at the small computer. Squall followed Zell, and sat next to him on the couch. "Where'd you get this?" Zell looked up in awe at him. Squall opened the black Microsoft®, and showed Zell all the little games and programs he had on it. The blonde had wanted his own laptop for a while now, and Squall's computer only pushed his motivation. "I think I'm going to get one of these here soon."
"Down in Balamb," Squall nodded. "Picked it up last week."
"Nice," Zell smiled. "Hey you got any plans today?"
"Yeah, I might head to town today to shop for junk," Squall muttered.
"You mind if I tag along?" Zell pleaded. "I have nothing to do today."
Squall nodded. He really wasn't looking forward to a trip to Balamb alone. At least Zell would keep him company.
"Woohoo! Let's go!"
So, Squall and Zell left the dorm, and headed out. To Zell's surprise, Squall led him to the parking lot.
"Got a car card today," Squall explained. The garden rented cars to SeeDs for free, but Zell didn't know the program started yet.
"Gonna have to get one later." So Zell let Squall drive, and they pulled out of the garden. With a car, Zell could get all kinds of things back to his dorm. "Thank Hyne for Squall." So Zell sat back, and relaxed for the short trip to Balamb.
